Market
Grocery store
Reading Terminal Market is a renowned indoor farmer's market that has been serving a diverse range of food, housewares, and local specialties since 1893. It offers an array of dining options including Townsend Wentz's Oloroso and Jose Garces' Amada.
Reading Terminal Market is a foodie paradise, and my visit was a perfect example of why. The variety here is unmatched—you can walk a few steps and go from authentic international dishes to Philly classics. We started with some hearty Indian food: a rich spinach and stew dish paired with flavorful rice. The rice was perfectly seasoned, and the stew had layers of spice. Of course, no trip to Philly is complete without a cheesesteak, so we grabbed one from uncle Gus restaurant. The bread was fresh with that perfect crunch from the sesame seeds, the onions were caramelized just right, and the meat and cheese were melt-in-your-mouth good. It really hit the spot. What I love about Reading Terminal Market is that you can try completely different cuisines in one visit. In just one meal, we went from Indian flavors to an iconic Philly classic, and everything tasted authentic and delicious. Yes, it’s busy, but that’s the fun of it—it feels alive, full of people and energy. The food quality makes it more than worth it. Whether you’re a local or visiting Philly, you won’t leave hungry, and you’ll probably already be planning what you want to try next time.

This a very unique place! It’s a must see and the perfect spot for lunch. There’s many different food options here, all of a wide variety! From raw oysters to soul food to sushi to Indian. There are a few dessert places as well. The meat market and fish market have lots of things to choose from if you plan on grabbing and preparing at home! We visited on a Saturday and it was overwhelmingly packed with people, however it is open 7 days a week, so I suggest visiting on a weekday.
Lauren M — Google review
Incredible space with multiple vendors, shops, and restaurants! Can’t recommend this market enough - we’ve literally told everyone about it. We are so glad we stopped in at the recommendation of our Lyft driver and we were so impressed. Coffee, Chocolate Pastries, multicultural cuisine options, and at least one or two bar / restaurants spaces. Not only was it an amazing adventure just walking the aisles, but everything was clean and the service at all the stalls was incredible. People were polite and it was easy to navigate the space! Highly recommend stopping Reading Terminal if you’re in the area!

We went on a Sunday at noon. I have to say it was busy but was still easy to get around with a toddler. We went to The Original Turkey and it was so delicious reminds me of Thanksgiving but so much better because the turkey was juicy and tender. The stuffing had so much flavor and the gravy was savory. The stuffing club was to die for. Next was dessert and we decided on Wilts!!!! Chocolate strawberries was so sweet and delicious. Strawberries by themselves were fragrant. Then Muller Chocolate Co. We got a variety of truffles and chocolate covered pretzels. As a tourist I definitely recommend these places but I do say go and look around and try things that you might fancy! There is plenty
Amber H — Google review
Oh my. What an incredible place to get a true taste of Philly. From cheesesteaks and pretzels to baked goods and fresh meats and veggies - there’s something around every corner! Enjoyed a fresh pressed juice, bagels and donuts while we strolled. Bought some local libations home with us. Can’t wait to go try some more spots throughout the market
LeeAnna F — Google review
A must visit! TONS of vendors and delicious food throughout the building. Anything you could want, it’s going to be in here. I loved the neon signs and how much there was throughout. Great deals galore, and everyone was friendly and helpful if you had a question. I wish I had something like this closer to home; I would visit Philly again just to come Back here!
Nick A — Google review
An absolute paradise for food lovers with wide variety of offerings to cater to everyone's taste. From the Philly Cheesesteaka to began options and everything in betweenm between. The crowd is vibrant and rhe nostalgia is beyond this world. The baked goods selection is absolutely heavenly. There is always something to explore or experieeces throughout the expansive store locations.

Our favourite place in Philly! Open everyday from 8am-6pm. If you visit Philly, this is a MUST! Gets very busy on weekends and it’s sometimes difficult to move around because of how narrow some of the aisles are. There are so many food options here, from Vegan food, cookies, doughnuts, delis, cheese and chocolate boutiques. There are washrooms here and some very limited seating.

Dilworth Park is a vibrant urban park located in the heart of Center City, Philadelphia, right in front of the iconic City Hall. The park offers a range of attractions and activities throughout the year. In the warmer months, visitors can enjoy a splash fountain, tree groves, and outdoor dining options. During winter, the park transforms into an ice skating rink for some seasonal fun.
I loved it had multiple SEPTA entrances and exits. Also the park is low key lively and has some decent sitting options out of the sun. Love that you have walkways through the sprinklers and not get very wet to shave off a couple mins on your walk.

This is a really a lovely place to take time out, set in the middle of the bustling city you can just relax in the middle of it all surrounded by beautiful architecture and the amazing orchestra waters which is so innovative, I have never seen anything like this, it's really quite something to watch someone orchestrate the music and the waters, I could have watched for hours, I wasn't brave enough, to have a go but would have loved to, beautiful location. The water feature ended on 3rd October so I'm glad I got to see it but Dilworth park is definitely worth a visit.
Andrew S — Google review
Walked past/through here several times. Seemed nice, lots family and kids there who seemed to be enjoying themselves. Like any big city there were some homeless people around and some sketchy individuals but there was also a subtle police presence to where it never seemed unsafe or I felt uncomfortable. I can't skate but the skating rink looked fun for those that are into that type of thing.

Nice park in the heart of Philly! Not a lot of grass but plenty of seats to relax, eat, work, or just enjoy the vibes. There is a coffee shop but it was closed at the time. They also have good trucks, water fountains, a stage, and an entrance to the subway.

Dilworth Park or Dilworth Plaza located at 15th and JFK Blvd at City Hall. Nice relaxing area. Plenty of seating around. Water sprays on outside. Roller Skating rink. They have Ice Skating in the winter. Live music at lunchtime in the summer. Very open. Starbucks nearby. Transit close. At different times they have beer garden popups.

Center City of Philadelphia. Under the beautiful architecture of city hall, kids are welcomed to play in the sprinklers. The children were ecstatic for the reprieve from the brutal heat.

This is a fantastic place to enjoy together. This place is part of the city's history and they also host events with different themes. They have some public parking very close, however it's very expesive.

JFK Plaza, also known as Love Park, is a bustling urban plaza in Philadelphia that serves as the entrance to the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. The park features a geyser-like fountain and is home to the famous LOVE sculpture by Robert Indiana. Originally constructed in 1965, the park underwent a multimillion-dollar renovation in 2018, restoring the sculpture and fountain while adding green spaces.
One of my favorite public places in Philadelphia to sit and relax and gaze at City Hall and northwest up the Benjamin Franklin Parkway towards Logan Square and the art museum

Nestled in the heart of this vibrant city, this tranquil oasis offers a stunning escape from the hustle and bustle of urban life. Regardless of the season—whether the warmth of summer, the chill of winter, or the blossoming beauty of spring—this destination captivates with its lush greenery, inviting pathways, and serene atmosphere. It's the perfect spot to unwind, reflect, or simply enjoy the surrounding beauty.

Was over this way a few days ago because I was in the area. Got to see the LOVE statue which was really cool to see up close. Great views of the city here and nice place for photos too.

❤️ Love Park (John F. Kennedy Plaza) Love Park—officially named the John F. Kennedy Plaza and designed by Edmund Bacon—sits at the heart of Philadelphia and features Robert Indiana’s iconic LOVE sculpture. The contemporary piece, with its bold typographic design, is a reproduction of the original sculpture housed at the Indianapolis Museum of Art. I’ve always appreciated this sculpture for its character, concept, and playfulness. The precise arrangement of the letters, the unifying geometric forms, and the tilted “O” create a striking graphic presence. Its visual power often makes people think the sculpture is larger than it really is. The installation is beautifully executed. The LOVE sculpture sits atop an open metal base that allows it to feel both elevated and seamlessly integrated into the landscape. At the center of the park, a large fountain with an illuminated jet spray provides a dramatic backdrop—adding both movement and a refreshing atmosphere. The park itself is welcoming, with green lawns, flowerbeds, built-in benches, picnic tables, cafe-style seating and walking paths. It’s a perfect place to pause, relax, and take in the urban energy of Philadelphia. ❤️ LOVE PARK HIGHLIGHTS • Free Admission: Outdoor park, no reservations required • Hours: Open daily, 7 a.m.–10 p.m. • Accessibility: Wheelchair-accessible paths and restrooms • Family & Dog Friendly: Great spot for visitors of all ages • Photo Opportunities: Iconic backdrop for memorable pictures • Location: Across from City Hall and Dilworth Park; near the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Franklin Institute • Seasonal Events: Hosts the annual Christmas Village in November and December, featuring festive lights, gifts, and local vendors

The sign is much smaller than I thought it would be. There is a cute fountain / splash pad set up for the kids to play in the hot summer days. The biggest downfall is there are some very shifty characters over there and a very strong smell of illegal substances. Nobody really bothered anyone so that was good. Cute little quick stop.
Nikitha M — Google review
The famous Robert Indiana statue of Love installed in the city in the bicentennial year of 1976. Probably the most photographed item in Philly. Don’t get Robert Indiana confused with Robert California the former Sabre CEO and latterly Regional manager of Dundee Mifflin in Scranton PA. In February 2025 the LOVE statue was briefly joined by the ‘Hurts’ temporary statue. Go Birds. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅

Love Park truly lives up to its name! The iconic LOVE sculpture is even more stunning in person, and the park’s open layout makes it a perfect spot to relax, take photos, or people-watch. It’s right in the heart of downtown Philly, surrounded by city energy and great food options within walking distance. The fountain adds a peaceful touch, especially on a sunny afternoon. Whether you’re visiting for the photo op or just to take a break, Love Park is definitely worth the stop — simple, beautiful, and full of good vibes. ❤️

The Liberty Bell, last rung in 1846, is a 2,080-pound symbol of freedom with a biblical inscription and a famous crack. It holds great significance as an icon of freedom and independence in America. Located across from Independence Hall on Independence Mall in Philadelphia, the bell offers a perfect view of the historic site. The importance of Independence Hall lies in its role as the location where the Declaration of Independence was signed, making it a crucial part of American history.
Recently visited iconic landmark of Philadelphia Great quick trip. A lot of information in an organized layout. Touched on a the little detail about the bell and it's history, not just the well know information. The staff are all relaxed and knowledgeable to answer any questions and give a little of background information when asked. Close up 360 view of the bell which is great for pictures and videos. You can also see the current bell and the tower that it's in right behind the liberty bell. Nice walking area surrounding to liberty bell museum. If you are in town or leave near by must visit once.

This is something I have always wanted to see, the history is fascinating. I had planned a whole day but there definitely is not enough to keep you busy for the whole day so do research and take in the city, it is unbelievably walkable, easy to navigate and a beautiful city

The birthplace of the United States Constitution, the Liberty Bell at the Independence Historical National Park is a fun way to spend a few hours exploring and learning more about our country’s history. Surrounded by 18th century architect, visitors can still enter the very same buildings where our founding fathers wrote and signed the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution, passed law, and came together as a nation.

Did not know liberty bell symbolizes freedom to so many people. This place provides good history how Liberty bell services a reminder life is what you willing to fight for. The ranger is very knowledgeable even show us how to take a good “daylight “ shot of the crack from the bottom of the backside of the bell.

The Liberty Bell is a significant piece of US history. The fact that they don’t charge to go in is fantastic cues can be quite long but within 10 to 15 minutes you’re in. Really well organised. A must see if you’re in Philadelphia.

This was one of the other items that I was blessed enough to check off my bucket list as well. I learned a lot about the history of the bell, as there is a indoor museum dedicated to it.

The Liberty Bell stands as a witness to America’s journey—from colonization and independence to the abolition movement. Its famous crack has become a timeless symbol of freedom and equality—truly powerful and meaningful. 🫡🔔🇺🇸

I didn't think I would like this museum as much as I did but it was surprisingly good. It's free admission, but there was a significant line to get through security. Once inside it's not that large, but the information and stories provided were excellent. I was amazed at how complete a history they gave, highlighting the contradictions of this symbol of freedom while systematically oppressing women and minorities in this country. It's also why I came in the first place, given how we're currently headed down the same path. It's more of a physical representation of our constant struggle for the fractured freedoms and liberty that we all strive for in America.

Independence National Historical Park is a sprawling 20-block area in the city, housing significant landmarks such as Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. The park has seen a steady increase in visitors, with plans to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence in 2026. Notable projects for this milestone include restoring the First Bank of the United States and the Declaration House, where Thomas Jefferson penned the historic document.
The beginning of our country. To stand where our fore father's stood. Preserving the original buildings is amazing. 90% of the woodwork is original. It is just amazing and well worth to see where our country started. With only a few delagates from our 13 colonies could agree of how our country should be run and we live by it still today. Breath taking.

We had a really wonderful visit. The interpretive ranger staff are so thoughtful and knowledgeable. It is always wild to see this relatively modest place where so many of the roots of our country were planted. I love how we can both acknowledge the complicated humanity of our founders, appreciate the heart of it, and grow to do better. As someone on wheels, I also appreciated the access. The options were mostly obvious, and for the one spot a temporary ramp was needed it was up before I could blink. The whole area is thoughtful and well curated. Be careful though. I came here with my fifth grader who had just finished studying American History - and left with a full set of the foundational documents of our nation. 😳😂 You've been warned. (She has been updating me from the Bill of Rights regularly since then.)

Impressive. Fantastic space with many interesting artifacts and displays. Great combo ticket with the Museum of the American Revolution. Convenient Starbucks in the building. Interesting movie in the round got things off to a good start. Suffrage exhibit was really well done. I think my favorite thing was the room with the life size statues of the signers of the constitution.

Spruce Street Harbor Park is a beloved summer destination in Philadelphia, offering a variety of activities and attractions for all ages. Originally established as a temporary park, it quickly gained popularity among locals and tourists. Situated along the Delaware River waterfront near Penns Landing, the park features gardens, an urban beach, hammocks, a beer garden, food truck outposts from renowned eateries like Franklin Fountain ice cream parlor and Federal Donuts, as well as bocce courts and shuffleboard.
such a cute area downtown away from the hustle and bustle! there were a bunch of food stalls that looked like they likely open in the later evenings! There was a bunch of places right along the water to just sit, grab a drink or some snacks and relax! The hammocks were also really cool!

Very nice riverfront park. Plenty to do in the summer months, from the small outdoor rides, roller skating, food trucks, bars and chairs to sit and watch the world go by. This is a great spot to visit and will be even better when they complete Penns Landing Park upgrade etc

Good park, on Friday’s there’s live band music on summer only free. Good food and drinks and amazing places to take pictures.
TheOnlyOne! — Google review
It was a mid experience. It was 3 food vendors, chickie and petes, a vendor that serves drinks and a vendor that served funnel cake and other snacks. Besides that it wasnt anything going on. Maybe it was a slow day?! The band was pretty bland as well. If you want to just have a quiet place to talk with a friend near the water and get a drink, id recommend this spot for only that. Beware, it's a 30 buck parking fee so yeah. If you're looking to go on a date, I suggest going elsewhere.

Citizens Bank Park is the home of the Philadelphia Phillies, offering a retro-inspired atmosphere and stunning skyline views. Since 2004, passionate fans have flocked to this natural-grass ballpark for exciting games, delicious food, and a vibrant atmosphere. The upper deck sections provide unforgettable views of the Center City skyline, especially at sunset. Visitors can also explore nearby attractions such as the LOVE statue, Cira Green rooftop garden, Moriah Cemetery, Sesame Place, and Fairmount Park.
Beautiful stadium! Great food options, face scan entry, and cold beverages. Atmosphere was fun and exciting. Loved the bull pen location for fan interaction. Lots of parking in the complex which was very handy. Overall, wonderful experience. Our family is already looking forward to another event here.

What a ballpark! This was number nine for me, and it was a real treat! The gates opening early for the small section was a great bonus, and there were plenty of vendors open. The food options, specifically the cheesesteaks were SO GOOD! Lots of local beer throughout and fun activations as well. We had great seats, though a bit tight and close together. The game itself was a loss, but that’s okay. The boards were AMAZING! So bright and lots of good information about the pitcher and batter. Definitely in my top five for sure!

The home of the Phillies. The ballpark is designed well, from the seating to the concessions areas to getting into/out of the park. There are plenty of opportunities to have fun, enjoy a day with family and friends, and to get you excited for baseball. The staff does a great job of people management before, during, and after the game. The ushers make sure the crowd can enjoy the game, and that is no easy feat. They are the unsung heroes of game day by helping to keep the rowdy folks calm and the atmosphere family-friendly. A walk around the park breathes life into the history of the Phillies franchise. Statues of baseball legends, plaques celebrating the team’s accomplishments over the decades, and plenty more photo ops await. A drawback is the parking and traffic. It’s a major city and it’s been around since the colonial era, which means it is both overpacked and oddly designed. It’s not a difficult task to figure out where you are going, but getting there will take time. Especially if the Eagles, Sixers, and/or Flyers are also playing that day. Give yourself ample time to get to Citizens Bank Park and honestly, pack a meal to eat while you wait for the parking lot to clear out. Overall, you’ll have a fun time during your visit to Citizens Bank Park. There are many eateries and shops within walking distance, too. This modern venue does a lot right and leaves the fans happy.

Been to A few ball Parks in my life. Hands down beautiful park. Standing tickets are actually worth it here. Straight views behind the plate. The Authentic Shop is surprisingly well priced. Bought a few peaces of memorabilia. Food’s relatively good. I’ve had some nasty food in ball parks but enjoyed it here. Employees/staff/security are all friendly and helpful.

This baseball park strikes a great balance between classic charm and modern upgrades. The blend of old-school architecture and atmosphere with high-tech features like the massive screen gives it a unique character. The fans bring great energy, and there are plenty of solid food options to choose from. No matter where you sit, the view of the game is excellent. A great place to catch a ballgame!

I had an amazing time at Citizens Bank Park watching the Phillies play under the evening sky—and yes, they won! 🎉⚾ The energy in the stadium was electric, and the weather couldn’t have been better. Cool breeze, golden sunset, and baseball? Perfection. I purchased my tickets through the Phillies app, which made everything super easy. From choosing seats to accessing ballpark info, the app was smooth and intuitive—definitely a must-have if you're heading to the game. My seats were a great deal for the price I paid. There was a pole partially blocking my view, but I knew that going in, and honestly, it didn’t take away from the experience. The staff were friendly and helpful when I needed assistance finding my section, which made settling in a breeze. Overall, Citizens Bank Park gave me a night to remember. Great game, great service, and a stadium that knows how to make fans feel welcome. I’ll absolutely be back!

Pennsylvania Dutch restaurant
Dutch Eating Place is a beloved Pennsylvania Dutch eatery located in the renowned Reading Terminal Market in Philadelphia. This iconic counter serves up traditional homestyle breakfast and lunch options throughout the week, drawing both locals and visitors. The breakfast menu features hearty dishes such as various egg preparations, apple cinnamon French toast, blueberry pancakes, and fresh-squeezed orange juice.
Our food was delicious. My daughter had the chorizo hash and I had the steak and eggs. My sister raved about the cornbread waffle, so I had to try it. It was amazing!

We ordered one apple dumpling and blueberry shortstack (came with 2 pancakes) to share. The apple dumpling with the syrup was too sweet for us. We normally don’t eat sweet breakfasts but we wanted to try it since it’s famous. The pancakes were huge. They were pretty good! We brought it back to our hotel, The Notary which is just a block away! Super convenient!

This place is a dream - probably the best apple dumpling and turkey sandwich I've ever had in my lifetime. The plates are HUGE and well worth it for what you get. I'm planning on going back there before I head back home. I'll be dreaming of it thereafter. Diner vibes in the best way.

Great fast service, high quality ingredients, quality portions and super delicious food. Every other customer that I spoke to beside me, said they frequently return to eat here each week. This place is legendary and for all the right reasons. My order was incredible. I definitely would eat here again and highly recommend that you eat here. The food is amazing!

The Dutch Eating Place in Reading Terminal Market is absolutely fantastic! The food is fresh, hearty, and full of authentic Amish flavor. The pancakes are fluffy, the scrapple is perfectly crisp, and the service is warm and welcoming — you truly feel at home. A must-visit spot every time you’re at Reading Terminal!

Wow this restaurant has consistently outstanding food. We ate here twice on our trip. Once for lunch and once for breakfast. The French toast and home fries were outstanding. My only complaint was that there are no tables to sit at, just the bar. The bar stools are uncomfortable with no back support.

A must-eat at when you visit the Reading Terminal Market because the food is delicious and the service is fast! I had the veggie omelet and whole wheat toast with a side of bacon and it hit the spot! Also, tried a few pieces from my friend's apple cinnamon French Toast and I highly recommend it!

Breakfast sandwich with a blueberry pancake as sub for the bread is always good. The apple dumpling was okay, crust bit plain, with a great core.

Beer garden
Independence Beer Garden is a permanent outdoor beer garden located near the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia. It offers a spacious 22,000-square-foot area with 40 taps of local and domestic beers, cocktails, and an all-American menu created by former Top Chef contestant Travis Masar. The garden features games like cornhole, tabletop Jenga, and ping pong during the day and has projection TV screens for evening entertainment.
What a great place to rest and have a snack and a beer or two. The Yards IBG Grapefruit Pale Ale was delicious. I ordered chips and guacamole. When I asked if some of the menu items were dairy free, the bartender mentioned that they normally sprinkle ranch seasoning on the chips and couldn't confirm if there was dairy in it. She made sure they omitted it from my chips. The service was top notch.

I had a decent experience here. There were some good happy hour deals and vegetarian options on the snack menu. However, I ordered the corn salad and explicitly asked if it came with lettuce and the waitress said yes, lone behold it did not. I also asked for it without meat and it came with it anyway but they were able to fix it. The buffalo cauliflower was really good. The food came quickly and the server was patient with the big group.

Love this place. Always make multiple visits when I come to Philly. Great in every way except…this absolutely inexplicable practice of pricing up their pitchers higher than the glasses per ounce. I can only think they’re trying to pull a fast one since pitchers are so fun to order. Love the place but you guys should cut that out.

Super fun stop conveniently located near Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. There's tons of seating, great food and drink menu, and free games for everyone to enjoy. I tried the soft pretzel bites and they hit the spot - soft and well seasoned. I will be going back soon, and taking friends.

do NOT order the greek salad as an entree. after a very long day walking around, we were hungry. - it was about 1/4 of a cucumber, a couple slices of a small tomato, way too many onions, and the tiniest amount of feta. with 20% tip to server, who was very nice and did a good job, it was $17.92. but more importantly - as my friend said "i feel like i have to now go get dinner somewhere" -because there was no protein, nothing filling at all, basically no food. and the onions were so overbearing; i left almost all of them, but somehow got heartburn. the server was nice, but when i asked "how's the greek salad" she said good, instead of describing it. which would've been a good heads' up. usually on salad menus when it says “cucumber, tomato, onions and feta” it means in addition to lettuce. There was no lettuce to fill us up. i went home and ate afterward.

Happy hour is our favorite there. Good food and good prices. Staff friendly. Perfect spot to see friends and chat.
Carlos M — Google review
Nice place, the service is okay. I didn’t like their lamp pita, it doesn’t taste like lamb at all, it taste like ground beef and it was over cooked, and dry. Fish tacos was good, and pork sandwich was tasty.
Aigo A — Google review
The food was absolutely awful. One of our sandwiches came with a hair in it, the burger buns were soggy and soaked through, and everything tasted either old or just plain bad. It genuinely felt like the food had been sitting out for far too long or was made with expired ingredients. To make matters worse, the prices were shockingly high for the quality (or lack thereof) we received. It’s honestly one of the worst meals I’ve ever had. That said, the atmosphere was lively and our waitress did a good job, but overall, we left disappointed, disgusted, and feeling like we wasted our time and money. Would not recommend.

Restaurant
Morimoto is a sophisticated dining destination that showcases the exhilarating native cuisine of world-renowned Iron Chef Morimoto. The restaurant offers a blend of ancient Japanese tradition and modern culinary techniques, resulting in dishes that reveal hidden layers of flavor. From pristine sashimi to globally influenced creations, Morimoto caters to diverse palates with options ranging from mix-and-match à la carte meals to bespoke omakase experiences.
Everything was wonderful. The food was exquisite. I really enjoyed all of the decor. Service was great as well. Was able to make a reservation online and had no weight when we got there. Truly a hidden jam in the city.
Sarah D — Google review
Came here for a birthday, and we were totally blown away by the omakase experience. All the servers were amazingly friendly and knowledgeable, and the courses were brought out with great timing. We sat at the counter and enjoyed in depth descriptions of our food from the chef himself. The food itself was delicious. Each course felt thoughtful and creative with flavors and textures. The quality of the ingredients really shined. The restaurant has impeccable atmosphere, and you can tell that great care has been put into every detail, from the music to the decor to the lighting to the bathrooms.

Sensational! I tried their tasting menu and top to bottom it was fantastic. The staff guided me through each meal and were super knowledgeable about what went into each dish. The sweet corn crab soup and the olive wagyu were two of the most sublime dishes I've ever had. This is a must try tasting menu!
Preet — Google review
Our entire group had the Omakase. Highlights were the Toro Tartare and the A5 Strip. The A5 was outrageously flavorful, more than any other meat I have had. The only time I had any beef that was comparable was the last time I had the Omakase at this same location. Service was a little slow. Would not have been a problem if we didn't have to get on the road, but I guess that's on us for not addressing it. One of my favorite restaurants.
Michael S — Google review
We had such a great dinner at Morimoto. We started with the hot stone Wagyu — it was incredible. The beef practically melted in your mouth, and cooking it on the hot stone right at our table made it such a fun experience. We also ordered the spicy tuna crispy rice — so good! The tuna was fresh and had just the right amount of heat, perfectly balanced with the crispy rice. My husband had a Japanese beer and my 11-year-old son got a mocktail called the Mandarin Ginger, which he said was really tasty. For our main entrée, we got the crab fried rice with the broth on the side (which we were glad we did, since the broth was pretty spicy). The rice came out piping hot, perfectly seasoned, and packed with generous chunks of king crab. The broth had some imitation crab, and overall, the dish was delicious. We also tried three sushi rolls — shrimp tempura, California, and eel & avocado. The shrimp tempura roll was nice and crispy, though it came with green beans, which we didn’t love. The California roll was honestly one of the best we’ve ever had — made with real crab and plenty of it — and the eel and avocado roll was excellent too. For dessert, we got the fiery flourless chocolate cake. The presentation was amazing — they pour flaming rum over a chocolate dome, which melts to reveal a hidden layer of miso caramel ice cream. Underneath was rich chocolate cake, chocolate mousse, caramelized bananas, and a crunchy graham cracker crust. It was delicious! The restaurant itself is beautiful, with lighting that changes colors throughout the meal. Service was friendly, professional, and attentive. Overall, we had a fantastic experience at Morimoto and would highly recommend it!

This place was exceptional. We got so many things from this place it's hard to keep count. We got quite a bit of champagne which was delicious. We got jalapeno yellow, wagyu beef on the hot stone, tuna tartar, beef tartar, miso soup, sashimi platter and much more. Everything was amazing and the scenery was fantastic. You need to make a reservation very far ahead in advance because this place is popular. Everything was made as it was expected. The service was nice and courteous.

Welcoming hosts, cool atmosphere and interior, great menu with good mocktails and yummy food! Reasonably priced. Had a great time and can’t wait to be back. Recommended for date night, friends night out and maybe solo dining.

South Indian restaurant
Amma's South Indian Cuisine is a popular spot known for its flavorful South Indian dishes. The restaurant offers specialties like mutton curry with spicy onion and tomato gravy, creamy paneer butter masala, and warm parotta. Despite being always packed, the dining room provides a lively atmosphere with South Asian pop and hip-hop music. After adapting to the challenges of the lockdown, Amma's has reopened with enhanced safety protocols and added delivery services.
What a lovely space! Ambience is nice and intimate. Interior is thoughtfully designed and gorgeous. The food was solid overall, though keep in mind the portions lean towards fine dining. The goat shank was flavorful with meat falling off the bone. Lamb chops were yummy, frenched with a tasty sauce. Chicken tikka masala was pretty good. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. Service overall was excellent.
Jen G — Google review
Fisrt visit to Amma's restaurant, since it had so many reviews we thought its going to be great. Casual dinning place, food was good Rawa Dosa, Masala dosa, Idly , chutneys were fresh and tasty. I odered Dum Goat Biryani but it took about almost 25mins plus after asking the manager, while my friends had almost finished the dinner.Biryani was just ok ,had better ones in other places. Service has some seroius issues here , even after bringing the food one by one, they added 20% Gratuity to the bill we were just four people on the table, after all this delayed experience. So after speaking to the manager who handled the situation very well, so kudos to him, he took out the gratuity. So food is good , service needs to be better, food has to comeout at sametime, not one by one.
DJ M — Google review
I rarely leave reviews but was so disappointed by our takeout that I get I needed to. Our two entrees were so greasy and way over priced for the small portion sizes. The dosa was ok but also very greasy. Overall, not an enjoyable takeout meal we didn’t even finish it.
Rebecca M — Google review
This was my first time coming to the new location. It’s inside the old Max Brenner building. The atmosphere is fantastic and the space is utterly stunning. The menu has changed, but it was missing a few favorites: notably the paneer dishes, the gobi manchurian, and the basic form of the thali. This time I had the chaat (it was lacking a bit of flavor), the paneer bhurjee (very good, spicy), and the salt lassi (incredibly, very cooling, tasted great). I would definitely come back, even more so if the menu prices dropped a bit. Overall, I think if the menu adds back those favorites, it will be my #1 indian spot in Philly!
Akshitha V — Google review
I used to go to Amma’s Kitchen when it was on Chestnut Street, and the food was amazing back then. It had real South Indian flavor and a good amount of heat. They’ve moved to a new spot now, and while the place looks great and the staff was friendly, the food was a letdown. I ordered the biryani and chicken curry, and both tasted like they’d been Americanized. The biryani in particular was disappointing. It came out more like mushy rice with chicken — almost like a chicken khichdi — instead of the layered, flavorful biryani they used to make.
Sweta G — Google review
Good food, cheerful staff and warm ambience. Perfect for a quick bite or a date night or get together. The restaurant truly lives upto the name.
Mandakini D — Google review
We had an amazing experience at Amma’s on Monday night. We were seated right away and the service was impeccable. Our water glasses were never left half empty. Our food was served quickly and WOW was it delicious. We were frequent patrons of Amma’s before their move from their location on chestnut st, and dare I say the service and food quality may have improved since! Much more space in the new location and has a great atmosphere. Highly recommend the Dosas and the samosa's. Everyone was so kind and attentive from start to finish, can’t say enough about Amma’s.
Elyse C — Google review
We loved it. We only had Dosa's. It was amazing. Looking forward to trying different dishes. We just moved to Philly from NYC where you have so many Indian restaurants. Finally found one we can go to. Great build out. Nice bar with high tops. Lighting is very well thought of. Spacious seating. Good for big groups. Staff is very attentive and courteous. Owner Satish came and checked whether we were OK. Which is always a nice touch. This is some what fine dining Indian food. Portions are on the smaller size for Indian food. But beautifully crafted and more than enough for one person. If you want your buffet style all you can eat Indian food, you go to Edison or New Brunswick in NJ.

The Philadelphia Museum of Art is a grand and iconic space known for its impressive entry staircase and Renaissance masterpieces. Situated at the end of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, it consists of three buildings, including the Rodin Museum and the Perelman Building. Housing over 240,000 artifacts and artworks, such as sculptures, paintings, armor, and decorative arts from various civilizations around the world. The museum is one of the largest and most visited in the world.
It has a beautiful collection of different ages and cultures. Start from the top floor and, most probably, you will spend there most of your day in the museum. There are unique pieces of European Medieval Art, Asian Art, and American period. It's like swimming in the waves from one culture to another. Another thing which is notable about this museum is that it tries hard to recreate the atmosphere of each period and culture through bringing up of their correspondent architectural authentic elements which fills the rooms with distinctive spirit of each place. It's a definitely nice place to visit for Art & Culture lovers.

This is a must visit when in Philadelphia. Gorgeous museum filled with inspiring artifacts. There are so much to see , and you can get lost inside, since it was our first time here, it took us a while to figure it out how to exit the exhibits. We had a great time inside the museum , spent hours inside the museum enjoyed everything we saw, only wished we had more time to spend here. Tickets pricing are reasonable with military enter for free at certain times. Friendly and attentive staff. Great location. Can arrive on one of the city bus tours as well.

I haven't been to the museum since I was in 8th grade. The experience of the museum inside was great. No complaints. But upon entering and purchasing my admission ticket, I had tapped my card. On the screen that faced me, it read "approved". But the lady behind the ticket counter told me it was "declined". I thought that was odd considering my side said it wasn't. And she insisted that it was declined. So I tapped my card several more times and then finally on the 4th time it was approved. I found it weird but continued my visit into the museum. As I was getting ready to leave, I checked my bank statement through my app and right there it said I was charged twice for my admission. 2 charges for $30. So I stopped at the ticket counter on my way out and they denied me any kind of help with returning my money, even though I showed them right there On my phone that they had charged me twice for one admission. They told me basically they can't do anything about it and that my bank statement wasn't proof enough basically. And then told me to contact my bank because it wasn't their problem. I thought it was rude and inconsiderate, when they were the ones who charged me twice and the proof was right in front of them. I walked away and immediately called my bank. Thank God they are amazing and saw what the museum did and were able to stop it as a duplicate charge. I really don't know what their (museum staff) problem was or why they were rude about it as if I was not being truthful. Even though I showed them right there, that they charged me twice. So I would pay attention to your bank statements when purchasing your admission tickets. Other than that, the museum is a beautiful place to visit and the rest of the staff throughout the museum was friendly and extremely helpful and pleasant to deal with. So I will give 4 stars for the rest of my experience. 😊

Climbing up the grand staircase felt like stepping into an ancient Roman temple! ⛪️ The museum’s interior is full of brilliant design details — even the elevator has a striking, unforgettable look. ✨ Behind it, the Phillips Fountain offers a perfect view of City Hall, making it a great photo spot! 📸 You can also find Monet’s Sunflowers here 🌻 — and learn about the meaning behind the Chinese phrase “Five Blessings Arrive at the Door” (五福臨門), symbolizing happiness, longevity, health, virtue, and peace. 🍀

What a great way to spend a day in Philadelphia. Not only is it fun to run up the museum steps and have your picture taken near the Rocky Statue, the entrance to the museum is right there. Large museum with 3 floors and multiple wings filled with various forms of art and plenty of branches throughout to sit and rest. The grand entrance staircase is impressive with the gold statue of the Roman Goddess Diana. All of the exhibits are worth a walk through, some are extremely detailed but others offer only a glimpse into the art on display.

This museum offers art from many periods that are nothing short of exquisite! There are four floors of exhibits. I recommend to start at the third floor and work your way down. There are stairs and elevators for those who are handicapped. The third floor offers armor, European Art from the Medieval period to roughly 1850 as well as Asian Art. Not only are art pieces displayed, but also parts of buildings to showcase the artful architecture of Europe and Asia. The second floor includes contemporary European and American artworks. Paintings, sculptures, and displays make up most of the floor, each demonstrating the variety of creativity the modern mind can produce. The first floor encompasses the special exhibit and American Art up to the early nineteenth century with and emphasis on Pennsylvania art and furniture. The gift shops are also on this floor, featuring exceptional books, prints, magnets, stickers, and other souvenirs one may take home with them. The ground floor includes some African and Asian artwork from a special exhibit of artistic clothing. The security people did not make you feel uncomfortable (in fact, many were welcoming). Overall, this is a museum that one has to check out if they are in the Philadelphia area. Be prepared to spend four hours there at least if you like looking at every single item!

Very likely the best art museum I ever visited around the world, on par or even surpass the MET. Large collection of Monet. You get to see a European cloister, Persian palace, Japanese garden all at one place. The best laid out museum so far

One of the best museums I've experienced in the states! It's very big, nice, clean, and a lot of collections that you might want to see desperately! And they offer 15$ per adult every Friday night with DJ/ music stuff. Although I think the event is not necessary, however, it's very good to see a museum try to attract different areas of people to come in again to appreciate the pure beauty of arts!

The Franklin Institute is a vibrant and family-friendly science museum in Philadelphia, offering numerous interactive exhibits and displays, as well as a planetarium. It is one of the region's most popular science museums with a wide array of kid-friendly exhibitions. Visitors can explore the abundance of museums and historical attractions in Greater Philadelphia, play in the city's expansive parks and playgrounds, and reconnect with animals and nature. Additionally, the institute features an outdoor spot on its fifth floor that offers breathtaking views of the city.
I love this museum. There are sooooo many things to look and very interactive. I spent almost the whole day to visit all the sections and enjoyed very much. There are good shows at different time too. Highly recommend The Sky Tonigh. One of the best ones I ever watched in a museum. The Liquid air show was also fun. Kids would definitely love it. One negative thing is the stuff in the gift shop is pretty expensive, and lots of them don't have a price.

Very cool place. Full of cool things to keep us adults and my daughter intrigued. The Eatery was a nice way to break up the day and grab some food. Parking garage was easy to use too.

Best museum ever! It's so educational! My two favorite exhibits of the museum were the live show and the heart! I was so amazed by the heart exhibit that I went three times! The love shows that the guy did the liquor, and the air was so cool. I learned that nitrogen can exist in three states: liquid, solid, and gas, and the sheep heart dissection was fascinating. I thoroughly enjoy myself in the museum. Please take your kids to it and read all the signs and interact with the exhibit!

The best museums are the ones like Franklin! It is structurally appealing to look at from the outside, and it looks great. The tickets are the usual price for an attraction like this and are discounted for kids. It's one of the most interactive museums I've ever been to. There were so many different exhibits to see and things to do, so I couldn't do it all in a few hours. Would 100% recommend for a rainy day or overall activity to spend with or without kids. I believe the sports section is temporary, but that was my personal favorite!
Lyla F — Google review
Love this place. Very cool for kids and adults. The one downside is the parking ticket situation. If you're a member, you have to bring the parking ticket inside to the customer service desk for validation in order to get the discount. It would be more convenient to self validate at the parking kiosk using your membership card/number. If you forget you ticket you have to go into the parking lot and the all the way back into the building to get it validated. Very inconvenient for big families with lots of small children. If you forget your ticket your out $25. There should be a work around for when members lose their tickets. Also, note, we went on a Wednesday. Lots of school trips. This is helpful if you have small children who might get trampled in the shuffle of big kids.

I grew up with the Franklin Institute—memberships, school field trips, invention camp, even a 50th birthday party. Now, I bring my own kids and share in the same joy of hands-on, engaged learning. We love the iconic walk-through heart and the massive train you can actually board and explore. The museum is packed with interactive exhibits that invite kids (and adults) to hands on tinker, and discover. The rotating special exhibits are always top-notch, and the permanent ones continue to hold their value over time. On our most recent visit, we stumbled into the planetarium—what a treat. The 15–20 minute constellation show was a great new experience, and my kids gave it a big thumbs up. Highly recommend this best in class museum. We’ll keep coming back—forever and ever.

I picked up a Philadelphia City Pass earlier this year, and by August we finally decided to cash it in. Three outings crammed into nine days: because why pace yourself when you can binge museums like they’re a Netflix series? First stop was the Franklin Institute, a place I hadn’t visited since childhood. Back then it felt like a temple of science and wonder. As an adult, it still has its magic, but it’s more of a mixed bag: part awe, part “well, that could certainly use some WD-40.” The day started off smooth. The City Pass check-in was easy, and the whole place never felt oppressively crowded. We could take our time at exhibits without standing in lines or being elbowed aside. And the good stuff was genuinely good: that massive steam locomotive in the collection hall is still jaw-dropping, the revamped optical illusions section is both playful and a little disorienting, and the “Your Brain” exhibit was hands-down the star of the day. It managed to be both engaging and eerie—the neuron model in particular was mesmerizing, glowing webs of activity that looked like they’d been lifted from the Upside Down. The kids were hypnotized; pulling them away from it felt like trying to separate a teenager from Wi-Fi. The iconic walk-through heart is still around, a bit dated but endearing in a “retro science fair” sort of way. Even the cafeteria pulled off a minor miracle with fruit, whole-grain snacks, and prices that didn’t require selling a kidney. The building itself, though, might outshine everything else. Between the soaring dome, the columns, the tucked-away crown molding, and the ceilings painted like quiet treasures, it’s a place where you almost forget you’re there to look at exhibits because the walls themselves are art. But let’s not romanticize it too much. The parking garage was cramped, overpriced, and about as relaxing as driving through a car wash with your windows down. Once inside, the museum’s layout was a mess. Poor signage, confusing hallways—it would’ve been easy to miss entire sections if we weren’t deliberately combing through. And let’s talk about security—or rather, the lack of it. No bag checks, no real staff presence, just the feeling that you could wander around unmonitored forever. Efficient, yes, but also unnerving. And the interactive exhibits? A letdown. Too many broken or outdated to the point of embarrassment. Nothing ruins the energy of discovery like hammering on a button only to watch it sputter out a dim, apologetic light. A lot of these things desperately need tuning, updating, or straight-up replacing. The “special exhibit” was the final insult: some “wonders of the body” deal that cost $20 extra. It looked as thrilling as reading medical pamphlets in a waiting room. I couldn’t help but compare it to when I was a kid and the Institute was showcasing Jurassic Park’s dinosaurs—life-size, in-your-face, unforgettable. Once you’ve seen animatronic T-Rexes roar down at you, a hallway of anatomy posters just doesn’t cut it. So we saved our money. And while I was happy to linger, read, and soak up information, I could see the attention spans of kids wearing thin. For every moment of excitement, there were two where the pace slowed to plaque-reading mode…and not every child is built for that kind of grind. All told, the Franklin Institute is still a worthwhile stop. It has genuine moments of awe, especially in its architecture and a handful of exhibits that really land. But the cracks show: broken equipment, lack of staff, and a general sense of being behind the times. It feels like a place leaning on nostalgia and reputation instead of being fully polished for the present. A few updates, working buttons, and maybe a return to bold, thrilling special exhibits would restore the magic. Until then, it’s a mix of marvels and missed opportunities, equal parts temple of science and cautionary tale in museum maintenance.

Rittenhouse Square is a renowned green space in the heart of Philadelphia, offering picturesque walkways, vibrant flowerbeds, and a tranquil reflecting pool. The square hosts frequent events and markets, making it a lively hub for locals and visitors alike. Surrounding the park is the upscale neighborhood known as 'Rittenhouse,' which boasts an array of high-end shopping outlets, dining establishments, and nightlife venues.
Love this park! Probably one of the nicest parks in the city! Always such a good vibe here! Plenty of benches to relax. You can always find someone playing music nearby. Most are good! Very kid friendly park as well as animal friendly! Shops and restaurants all around. Different times they host Farmers Markets as well as Art Shows around the park. A great mix of all kinds of people here! Just a wonderful park. People feeding the birds and squirrels. Nice park all year round!

My favorite place in center city so far! You can just stroll or run or have a picnic. The perfect spot! I love hanging out here and going to the Tuesday and Saturday farmers market. I come here for a short run sometimes, a perfect spot right in the middle of the city.

Rittenhouse Square is the pretty cool place for a stroll. The beautiful grounds are surrounded by high-end apartments, incredible restaurants, and lively bars, making it the heart of a truly sophisticated Philadelphia neighborhood. Fun area to check out!

Today came to Rittenhouse Square to do a couple laps and then go into a regular walk which I did down south Street which consisted of 30 box from river to Broad Street up and back, the square is a beautiful place to take in the sites of the city and being in a nice green space, is an iconic spot where Eddie Murphy was filmed in the movie trading places. You’ll find. Local artists here vocalists, and people playing instruments. It’s a great place for showcase talent.

This is one of the nicest places to go to relax family, dog friendly, and Saturday October 4th what's a festival farmers markets selling fresh produce, fresh fish meat, Venders selling foods Mediterranean food, African food, Hispanic foods, there were different types of pastries, artwork by local artists. There was live music, and people selling organic products... And this will continue until October 12th. You saw people enjoying the scenery relaxing on the bench reading books people with their babies grandparents with their little children, you saw people with their dogs, people lounging on the grass with friends, some solo reading books and some just taking it all in. Such a lovely nice place to just enjoy nature to enjoy life to take a break from all the stuff that's going on in the world. Play song

🌳 Rittenhouse Square: Where squirrels have better real estate than I do. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Came for the serenity, stayed for the existential crisis. Between the bronze goat statue and the Duck Girl casually flexing her poultry game, I realized I’ve never truly lived. The benches are perfect for contemplating your life choices while watching dogs that probably have trust funds. Bonus for the guy playing saxophone like he’s auditioning for a Nicholas Sparks adaptation. Would recommend—just don’t feed the pigeons unless you want to be elected their mayor.

It's so beautiful here, in the heart of Philadelphia, you have Parc a very elegant French Restaurant, also you have Barclay Prime, you can haveJapenese steaks here or any other kind you desire, but it's very pricey. For me it's good for anniversaries, birthdays or any other special celebration or occasion. Once a year is too many.

Parc Rittenhouse is a premier condominium residence located on the east side of Rittenhouse Square. It offers modern conveniences and amenities, making it an ideal place to live. The ambiance of the place is reminiscent of Paris, with delicious food and great service. Whether you're there for a business meal, birthday celebration, or just to enjoy some pastries, Parc Rittenhouse provides a delightful experience.
ONE OF THE TOP MEALS IN 2025!!! Truly, such an exceptional experience. The food is amazing and fresh. The staff is incredibly attentive and friendly. Moreover, the restaurant is extremely rustic and clean inside. Such a wonderful dinner experience! The shrimp and oysters were amazing. Cannot recommend Parc enough.

We wanted to try lunch. We ordered cheese omlette and mozarella sandwich. As dessert of course crème brule. The bread basket was really yummy. Very crowded we waited some time to get seated. We didn’t get super big meals but ending paying over $50 excluding tip. So pricey. Another things you should know before you go. The parking is really difficult. Maybe better to take uber or bus.

Amazing restaurant. All the food was incredible. I had always wanted to try a croque monsieur, and it did not disappoint. Bread and appetizers were high quality and delicious. The cranberry nut bread was my favorite. Very moist and flavorful. My wife is a connoisseur of fine French Onion soup, and she exclaimed that this was the best she'd ever had. The quiche Lorraine was delightful, fluffy and crusty, very light. Portion size is perfect - you won't leave hungry but you won't need a cart to haul leftovers. Its just right. Desserts are to die for. This is the best creme brulee I've ever had, and the chocolate mousse is the perfect flavor, sweetness and a magical consistency you cant make at home. Service was perfect at well. Our server Samantha is delightful, quick with a knowledgeable recommendation and great conversation. The manager Sawyer visited our table and was clearly invested in the quality of food and performance of his staff. 10/10 highest recommendation. Will be back soon!

I stopped by Philadelphia over the weekend and decided to visit this place after seeing how busy it was both in the morning and at night — and the great reviews didn’t lie! The restaurant sits right across from a park, and despite the crowd and size, the staff were incredibly kind and attentive (except for the host — a little smile or warmth would’ve made a much better first impression). Thanks to the generous, delicious breakfast and the genuinely kind service, my day started off perfectly. The gentleman who guided us to our table greeted us with such thoughtful manners, and our server’s hospitality was truly flawless. It’s been a while since I had such a pleasant dining experience, so I happily left a bigger tip than usual. These days, some restaurants can’t even provide decent basic service yet still circle the “extra tip” section on the receipt — but this place was outstanding in every way. The bread basket was amazing — even the complimentary bread was fresh and delicious. The butter was a bit too cold and hard to spread, but the jam that came with it was wonderful. The onion soup we shared was absolutely perfect, and the beet salad was fresh, tangy, and refreshing. The quiche was soft, seasoned well, and had an ideal texture. The only small downside was the coffee, which could have been better. But overall, the bright smile and warm service from our server, along with the team’s attentiveness even during the busy rush, made this a truly delightful breakfast experience. Highly recommend — this place absolutely deserves its great reputation!

The service and food were amazing. Our server Jose was friendly and good care of our party of 5. The bread was outstanding. The cocktails were perfectly prepared but pricey. This is a large restaurant and it is extremely loud when it gets busy.

We enjoyed our food and drinks very much! Solid restaurant that is always busy in Philadelphia. Make sure to make reservations. I have been here for brunch, lunch, dinner, and just late night snacks. Service has always been good. Their bread basket is amazing. You can buy bread to-go at the counter by the (small) bar. Our friends from out of town are always pleased here as well. My favorite is brunch here. But I am glad to take any meal at Parc!!!

I had super high expectations considering the positive reviews, however, I would not recommend this place. The service was subpar, at one point after about 10 minutes of our waiter not stopping at our table, my mom had to get up and get water as both of our glasses were empty. I think we drank it all due to the food being so incredibly salty, I ordered the steak frites and could only eat about half due to the crazy high amount of salt in the food that made it almost inedible. A manager (I presume) stopped at our table after she noticed my mom getting her own water and gave us a free drink (split in half between us) and a free dessert, but the waiter assigned to our table didn’t seem to care that we had to get our own water. He also made me feel incredibly uncomfortable after he commented on my physical appearance and asked me if my lips were chapped because I was “messing with them” which is just such an odd thing to point out. Incredibly disappointing experience and will not be coming back (although the french onion soup was great).

I had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious and well-presented, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, making sure everything went smoothly throughout the meal. Pricing was very reasonable given the quality of the food and service. I would highly recommend this place and look forward to returning soon.

Restaurant
Lacroix Restaurant at The Rittenhouse, located in the upscale Rittenhouse Square, offers an award-winning French dining experience led by Executive Chef Eric Leveillee. The restaurant is known for its global menu and famed chef's table, as well as a tasting menu with kitchen seating. The brunch service features new action-packed stations and time-honored favorites, including carving stations with handcrafted meats and a liquid nitrogen ice cream station.
I visited during restaurant week, and the experience was great. The menu was 3 courses (appetizer, entree, dessert), which were also accompanied by complimentary bread & butter that was delicious. The appetizer course was a great, light start to the meal. We ordered the risotto potatoes (8/10) and the fazzoletti (9/10). We ordered the strip steak (9/10) and lobster (8/10), which were also delicious. Lastly, for the dessert course we ordered the apple crumble (9/10) and the chocolate mousse (7/10). The apple crumble dessert was the most impressive dish - the taste of the Fall/Winter season was brought through in every bite. In addition to the restaurant week courses, we ordered the restaurants wagyu accompaniment ($80 additional total), which was composed of a wagyu tartare (9/10) and 2 amazing pieces of seared wagyu that melted the second you ate them. The service was also spectacular and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Overall, this was one of our favorite food experiences.

Lacroix is a beautiful restaurant located on the second floor of the Rittenhouse hotel. We had drinks and appetizers at Bar 210 within the restaurant one day as well as breakfast one morning in the main dining room during our weekend stay at the property. The food was great, and the service was excellent during both of our visits!

My past few dining experiences at other restaurants in Philadelphia were so grossly substandard. I was so pleased with my dining experience at Lacroix, it reminded me of an era when I could call Philadelphia the 2nd best place in the States 🇺🇲 for good eats. The food was immensely fresh, the presentation was immaculate. Service was precise, and punched well above its weight. The restaurant is beautiful, and while not remodeled, it has retained a timeless look. If you are looking for a sure thing, Lacroix is your destination. Truly outstanding 👏

Wow amazing food. Don’t be fooled by the appetizers or starters being smaller or the desserts are delightful. The main course the steak I had was superb and the Bordeaux was exceptional. $80 for a bottle or $21 a drink reasonable. We had a business dinner with a client. We all were staying at different hotels and we did not have any reservations but they took great care of us. Rittenhouse has several great restaurants. Bon appetit

Review for Brunch only. The selection of food, quality of each dish, service and friendliness of the chef were impeccable. Nothing bad here at all. The meal felt exceptionally relaxed. The servers were attentive without being overbearing (a hard balance which was perfectly executed). The sizes of each dish were perfect for allowing a taste of everything. The staff were proactive in making sure every option was always available. The chef in the kitchen was great explaining it each of the roast dishes available and was very friendly. The quality of the coffee is a good way to judge a brunch, and the coffee was great. An exceptional experience. Note: Review does not apply to afternoon tea (my experience of afternoon tea here over a decade ago was poor, I still have yet to find a place outside of the UK that can provide even an average afternoon tea).

My husband and I are huge fans of Lacroix superb food and exceptional service. However, I was disappointed last Saturday night with the limited menu we were given. In the past, on a Saturday night we were always offered a much different menu, a menu worthy of dinner at Lacroix on a Saturday night. If this is a new trend, when can I expect the wonderful menu I'm accustomed to? Christiane Heggan

We visited Lacroix for our 2023 Thanksgiving dinner and had a fantastic time. It was a buffet format and while the price tag was high, the experience was definitely worth it. The tons of food options were all tasty, including turkey, shrimp, oysters, and more. Also the pork ribs were outstanding. Drinks were not included but the wine we ordered was exceptional. Overall we had a great Thanksgiving meal and would do it again for sure.

What a special meal! We ordered the chef’s tasting menu and it was exquisite. Every dish was artfully presented and tasty. The portions are small but by the end of the night we were full. The best part about the meal was the service. The staff was so polite and attentive, and made you feel special. The sommelier was clearly invested in his craft and it was a pleasure to hear him describe the wine pairings. I got a cocktail and it was also delicious. I think our favorite dish was the dessert, which was a chocolate sphere with a delicious custard and pistachio filling. The restaurant was quiet which was surprising for how good the food and service was. Worth the price!

Vernick Fish is a high-end seafood restaurant located in the Comcast Center, offering a luxurious dining experience with a focus on oysters and fish. The menu features creative dishes such as broiled oysters with salami and provolone, scallops topped with rich brown butter sauce, and spicy-crunchy tuna tartare in lettuce cups. Chef Greg Vernick's expertise shines through in the carefully crafted flavors.
My fiancé and I had such a special experience for our anniversary dinner here. The food was delicious and the service was top notch - our server was so educated on the menu and was able to paint a detailed picture of all the flavors when we had questions about items on the menu. We also ate at the counter in front of the kitchen, and while some diners might not like these seats, it has become our favorite seats in every restaurant we go to. Watching the chefs prepare all the dishes makes for such a fun dining experience and conversation with whomever you’re dining with. So glad that we decided to come here for our anniversary!

Found this restaurant late on a Sunday night after many restaurants were closed at 9pm. It was an expensive find, but well worth it! We walked in without a reservation and we're given two choices. The bar or the Chef's Table. The bar looked very inviting but the hostess recommended the Chef's Table if we wanted a unique experience and didn't mind hearing the cooks chatter. It was an amazing experience for several reasons. First, we were the only customers at the Chef's Table. Second the chef gave us a comp Salmon Crudo that was delightful. Finally our server was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and recommended the Crudo special which was also amazing! I had the crispy jerk sea bream fish and my wife enjoyed her sea bass. I would highly recommend visiting this restaurant while in Center City Philly! The combination of the quality of the food, first class service, and funky atmosphere was truly an enjoyable dining experience! We will be back!

We went there for our anniversary! The place was great, our server was really nice. The ceviche was really delicious, the fish was grilled to perfection, one of the best grilled fish we ever had. The desert was also really good. We loved this place and would definitely be back, recommend it highly, we were happy with everything. 😃

We had an awesome time at Vernick Fish! The food was incredibly flavorful and just the right amount. For the two of us we got one small plate and 2 large plates no room for dessert! The complementary sourdough with honey butter was a pleasant surprise! I LOVE octopus and Vernick’s take was perfect, my favorite part of the meal! Just the right amount of crunch and flavorful, don’t sleep on the verde sauce, I wish I could have taken it home to eat more often! The curried cod was wonderful and the olive flavors with the sea bass was a refreshing and flavorful! We loved the eggplant too! Everything was perfect!!! It’s not cheap, but you certainly get what you pay for, and we loved it for a social night out!

Fantastic restaurant. Decor, service, food. Everything is impeccable. Wonderful raw bar selection with their own unique take on sauces. Appetizers and entrees were refined yet tasty. Steak was done to perfection. Highly recommend. I would definitely come back here to eat again.

Everything here was TOP NOTCH! The servers were all very helpful and knowledgeable, the ambiance was intimate and the decor was gorgeous. We tried a mix of dishes amongst our party of four and everything that hit our table was delicious. It was such high quality and fresh seafood that it made me want to have it all again (and I'm not a seafood person at all)! The drinks from the bar were amazing. The flavors played so well with each other that I would love to return just to have a drink at their bar. It was for sure a night to remember.

My friend and I went to Vernick Fish to celebrate her birthday, and the evening did not disappoint. We were delighted to spot a half-bottle Laurent Perrier champagne on the wine list, the perfect choice and just the right amount for the two of us. We began our meal with four different oysters. My friend prefers briny, I lean toward sweeter, and thanks to our server Cory’s detailed descriptions of each variety, we found options to please us both. The crispy octopus appetizer followed was spot-on. For our entrée, we abandoned our original plan after Cory described the off-menu special - a whole turbot. When the fish arrived, Cory masterfully deboned it tableside and plated it. The turbot was perfectly cooked, crisp outside and meltingly tender inside, complemented by a beurre noisette sauce (if I remembered correctly) and three types of Maldon salt. Dessert was a grilled olive oil cake, accompanied by two glasses of Pierre Ferrand Pineau des Charentes (a much appreciated gesture from Cory), and a scoop of mango sorbet (complimentary) for the birthday girl. The dessert wine was lightly sweet and paired beautifully with the cake, ending our meal on a high note. We sat at the counter, which gave us a front-row view of the chefs at work, a fascinating behind-the-scene experience for anyone curious about the kitchen. Overall, it was a thoroughly enjoyable evening, with excellent food, warm service, and thoughtful touches that make a meal memorable.

I often find fine dining restaurants overpriced and pretentious. This could not be further from the truth at Vernick Fish. Each dish was light, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The highlights of our meal were the red snapper ceviche, and the sea bass. Service was truly exceptional. Our plates were cleared and tables wiped down after every course and our server was always attentive, bringing out food at the perfect time. I can confidently say, Vernick Fish is one of the few establishments worth the hefty price tag. pictured: red snapper ceviche, sardines on toast, sea bass, key lime pie

The Philadelphia Zoo, situated in the heart of Fairmount Park, is a sprawling 42-acre sanctuary for over 1,300 rare and endangered animals. Visitors can explore eco-friendly habitats that offer up-close encounters with creatures ranging from lions to lizards. The zoo also offers a range of attractions and activities such as the Amazon Rainforest Carousel, Lorikeet Encounters, camel safaris, and more. Additionally, the zoo is actively involved in conservation efforts and boasts a world-class breeding program.
We really enjoyed our visit here today. Our primary draw were the 5 topiary sculptures done by Mosaiculture. They were great and look good even now, late into the season. Despite this being the oldest zoo, the enclosures are mostly modern and well kept. Animals have a lot of stimulation and everyone looks healthy and content. The critter tunnels are an amazing inclusion. The galapagos tortoises have 16 new babies! What a joy for the zoo! Good animal variety. Preparation for holuday lights is already beginning. A great family day for all ages. Parking is $19.00.

The Philly Zoo was absolutely amazing! The layout made it easy to explore, and it was so informative at every turn—you could tell how much care and thought went into both the exhibits and the animals themselves. While zoos aren’t always the best places for animals, it’s clear that here they really care about conservation, education, and creating a great environment. The kids had the best time (though we might have had even more fun than them!). We took so many photos, and on top of the animals and exhibits, they had trick-or-treating during our visit, which was such a fun surprise and made the day even more special. Between the beautiful grounds, engaging activities, and the sense that the animals are well cared for, it was a perfect family outing. We’ll definitely be back!

Visited the Philadelphia Zoo over the weekend and had a great experience. There was no wait to enter and the short walk from the parking garage to the main entrance made things super convenient. The zoo is easy to explore and takes about 3 hours to enjoy at a comfortable pace. The zoo map was extremely helpful and made it easy to find our way around. While there was some construction that took away from the atmosphere in a few areas, it didn’t majorly impact the visit. Food options were limited but there were a few food trucks and an ice cream shop that offered some quick and yummy choices. It's a clean, well organized zoo to enjoy with family or friends.

My husband and I went to the Philadelphia Zoo for the first time since we were kids and we had such an amazing time! There was zero wait to get in and since it was a Monday meant less crowds. We were able to leisurely take in all of the exhibits and see the animals up close. The Zoo is SUPER clean! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Since we are members we will definitely be back soon!

Oldest zoo in the US. I was expecting it to be dirty and run down, much like the city surrounding it, but I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't. It was a beautiful sunny day, cool temp in the upper 70s. Perfect day to stroll through the park. The animals were loving it too, as they were active and easily seen. I thought the simulated habitats were done really well. It's interesting how they have suspended walkways for some of the animals to move wherever they want. The zoo is currently constructing a new bear enclosure. There's plenty of docents stationed about to help explain interesting facts about the animals. Membership allows for perks and frequent entries, while daily ticket holders may find discounts. Little children will also enjoy the carousel and the kiddie's train. With online timed entry and tickets payment, the park never feels crowded and easy entrance. I really enjoyed my visit and thought the zoo was exceptionally good.🤗
Gordon S — Google review
The experience was enjoyable, particularly the extensive walking and the delectable food. However, I found the zoos to be rather monotonous, as they all seemed to offer similar attractions. Despite this, I still consider it a worthwhile experience and highly recommend it.
Mark B — Google review
Absolutely love the zoo. The zoo yearly pass makes it so much more reasonable too.. free parking.. can get in and leave without spending a cent. Plus because its free for a year to get the whole family in.. you don't feel like you have to maximize the visit each time.. you can go for a hour or two and only see a portion of the zoo and leave and it's a great day and the kids don't get wiped out or cranky cause you're there too long. Last time we were there, saw hippos walking around out or the water, kids fed the giraffe, saw the tiger pace right on front of us and the lions were right against the glass also saw two of the huge snakes eating rabbits and saw the otters having a blast.. very well designed my only complaint about the animals is that there are no elephants. Especially with a statue at the front of the zoo of an elephant which then makes the kids wanna see the elephants haha. Other than that, they have such a good wide range of animals and sections.
Anthony J — Google review
We went on a Thursday in November, it was chilly but overall a good day at the zoo. We got to see many of the animals, but a few areas were closed, which bummed us out a bit. We also had terrible service from the backyard kitchen staff, including a younger gentleman who made me repeat my order 5 times slowly, refused to help with their soda machine, and the food was cold and not freshly made. We got really great shots of the big cats and orangutans in particular. My two year old left exhausted but was smiling throughout. I'd would highly recommend, just don't go to the backyard kitchen.

The Please Touch Museum is a large, kid-friendly environment designed for children aged 3-12. It offers hands-on attractions and encourages interactive learning without any 'Do Not Touch' signs. The museum promotes arts, sciences, and humanities through educational entertainment. Visitors can explore an impressive collection of toys, a 3D interactive playground based on popular children's books, and art exhibits featuring work from local children. The bottom floor features a pretend grocery store and a maze for kids to explore.
The Please Touch Museum is a fantastic place to spend quality time with your kids. It offers a variety of sensory activities that keep little ones engaged and entertained. Our kids stayed happily occupied throughout the visit. The museum features several themed sections where children can explore and enjoy their favorite activities. The carousel ride was a highlight and added an extra dose of fun. Highly recommended!

We drove from central NJ and parked near the entrance to save the $19 for parking in the designated parking lot. The museum is big and offers a bunch of activities for children. We went with our 18mo who walks and has decent vocabulary. Pros Unlimited Carousel rides all day for an additional $5.45. Our daughter loved that it didn't go to fast or have the obnoxious music these attractions often have. The grocery store is perfection super realistic but absolutely chaotic and shelves get cleared out quickly making it hard to find items to "shop" for. Either way our daughter 18mo enjoyed pushing her full cart around the muesum. Water table - while our daughter was too short, they did offer baby stools to be able to reach into the water and smocks to keep babies dry. She loved the rubber duckies and boats. Cons Price - Children over 12mo pay full price so for two adults and an 18m it was $75 which is steep. Some parents do not watch their kids who can be pushy, cut the lines, or just be unaware of their surroundings. Kids are running around everywhere so it can be very chaotic The museum is ideal for kids 2/2.5 to 4/5 We did not eat food brought our own snacks.

Best part of Philly. My kid and us had the best time and spent 4 hours exploring everything. Absolutely must visit for all parents and definitely visit the souvenir shop. It’s so cute and had the best gifts in very reasonable prices. The place is comfortable and just the right size for a day out. Not filled with meaningless displays like lots of other kid friendly museums. Fantastic experience 10/10. Kudos to the imagination of the creators and the funding committee. The result is brilliant.

I would have to say that at least 30% of exhibits had issues or one sort or another. That said, the carousel was a hit. The rest seemed like it was built and designed in 1980 and hasn't been maintained or updated. My 3 grandchildren had a wonderful time despite it. And the building itself is like a mansion, absolutely beautiful.

We absolutely have a blast each time we go. We always get the passes from our local library and it includes unlimited rides on the carousel. Its well worth the hour and thirty minute trip from New Jersey. Each exhibit is interactive for our toddlers and allows them to use their imagination in normal adult setting.

My daughter had an absolute blast here! There’s so much for kids to do, it’s almost overwhelming in the best way. The place has two full floors of fun. The bottom floor is packed with activities: staff members read books to the kids, there’s a dedicated arts and crafts room, and tons of toys, from giant building blocks to a playhouse with a kitchen, plus a yard complete with a toy lawn mower and a wagon to push around. One of the biggest highlights is their giant play grocery store where kids can load up their carts with pretend food and even scan the items at the register. It’s adorable! They also have a cafeteria. While the menu is a bit limited and prices are on the higher side, it’s about what you’d expect for a place like this. (Pizza, French fries, burgers, snacks, kids menu) The best part came at the end of the day. All the staff gathered the remaining kids and parents for a big parade march from the bottom floor to the top, followed by a dance party for all the kids before everyone headed home. It was such a fun, memorable experience!

Such a wonderful space for young children - and parents! The different play spaces were all engaging and my two toddlers (2 and 3.5) had a blast the whole time. It’s spacious enough that it’s relaxing for parents and isn’t super loud or overwhelming. I wish we lived closer cause we’d go regularly!

This place was GREAT!! My kids loved it. They ran for at least 2 straight hrs. It was nice to see all the different setups they had. I had never seen anything like that before. It was really a great experience that I recommend to everyone.

Middle Eastern restaurant
Saad's Halal Restaurant is a Middle Eastern eatery located in West Philly, known for its diverse and flavorful menu. Originally a food truck, it has evolved into a popular brick-and-mortar establishment since 1996. The restaurant offers a signature cheesesteak packed with bite-sized steak pieces, American halal cheese, and mayonnaise.
I ordered Philly cheese steak and add an extra mushroom and cheese and it was soooo gooood😭♥️100000/10 Turkey hoagie was so good also and very different and generous amounts of food! It was 9/10 Hummus was the most delicious hummus I’ve had ever eaten! 10/10 Onion Rings 10/10 Fries 9/10 Both were very big you can share with your friends or family if you want.

They have a really well-organized ordering setup, which I loved. The Philly cheesesteak was absolutely AMAZING. The beef shawarma platter was a bit of a letdown with some dried, chewy pieces, but the baba ghanoush, rice, and salad were decent, the sauce that comes with it was really nice. Overall, worth visiting for the cheesesteak alone!
Muhammad A — Google review
A nice restaurant, friendly staff, and excellent fresh food. We ordered the Beef Cheesesteak, Chicken Maroosh, and Chicken Wings. They were all excellent. The chicken wings didn't have any special seasoning or flavor by themselves, but were fresh and crispy and went great with hot sauce. Having them with the garlic sauce from the Chicken Maroosh would be even better. The breads do the Cheesesteaks and Maroosh were both hot and crispy, which makes a huge difference. The portion of both sandwiches was also more than enough for one enough. It would be nice if they offered more of a variety ("Zero" calorie drinks, not just diet). Nonetheless, enjoyed the visit as always. I try to stop by here whenever I'm in Philly. Highly recommend.

The store is decorated really tastefully with verses from the Quran posted on the walls, one side of booth seating and one side of table seating. It’s clean and looks well maintained. Unfortunately, I drove a few hours from another state particularly to try the cheesesteak and it was a major disappointment. It’s a lot of oil, onion and beef- I didn’t taste anything else. There was barely any cheese. The mayo was clumped into a few areas, not spread out. It was just a bummer. The chicken sandwich was okay. Nothing to rave about. On top of that- they do not have it listed anywhere that they close in the middle of the day. There’s nothing wrong with giving employees a break, especially since it’s such a busy restaurant, but it wasn’t listed in the store hours so we arrived at the restaurant only to have to wait 30 minutes because they were closed. They are also not subtle at all about tips. Every single table has a sign so it’s clear that they expect something. If you’re in the area and want to grab a bite, it’s fine, but don’t come with high expectations.

This is the Best Philly Cheesesteak in Philadelphia rather the east coast and its Halal. The restaurant is located in a peaceful residential neighborhood. The restaurant is super clean and very well organized. The owner took our order and was very kind to give us best advice based on our preferences. We tried the classic Philly cheesesteak sandwich and it was wonderful. The size is so big that two people shared easily. The fries and onion rings are also really big and one order is enough for three people to share. They take your name when you place an order and once it’s ready they announce it on the speaker for pick up. However the lady brought the food tray to our desk. Another serving cling lady brought us napkins, plastic cutlery, and cups to our table as well. The food was absolutely amazing. The restaurant prefers payments by cash as they have additional 4% charges on card payments. The staff is also very nice. Although predominantly it’s a meat based restaurant there are some vegetarian options available as well. Free street parking is available in the area, a little tough to find during evenings though. The restaurant is fully wheelchair accessible. They also have separate restrooms for men and women at their premises. Highly Recommend this restaurant

Just tried a Philly cheesesteak here for the first time and it did not disappoint! The food was incredibly fresh. You can tell they use quality ingredients. On top of that, the staff were super friendly and made the whole experience even better. Definitely one of those spots that makes you want to come back again soon!

I ordered beef shawarma sandwich and beef Philly steak sandwich. They were ok. No taste of shawarma I am used to. Not WOW. I didn’t like catchup on the steak sandwich. It was crowded, so maybe different food is better. Very clean and well decorated. Good luck with packing. It’s difficult.

⚠️ Be Aware — Saad’s Halal Restaurant Scam Alert! I just picked up my order from *Saad’s Halal Restaurant* — 4 Chicken Maroosh sandwiches for $60 — and noticed something shocking! They’ve started adding an **extra 4% “customer service fee” even for pickup orders**. Yes, you read that right — not dine-in, not delivery — just picking up your own food! Imagine this: if 100 customers spend $50 each, that’s **$200 a day** they’re taking from people for absolutely nothing. I’m sharing this so our community is aware of what’s going on. This is not the right way to treat loyal customers. I’ve attached my receipt as proof — people deserve to know before spending their hard-earned money here.

Restaurant
Jean-Georges Philadelphia is a luxurious fine dining destination located on the 59th floor of the Four Seasons Hotel in Philadelphia. The restaurant offers sweeping views of the city skyline and features a two-story glass-walled dining room designed by renowned architect Norman Foster. Helmed by Michelin-starred chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, it offers carefully curated six-course tasting menus with options from land and sea as well as earth-inspired dishes.
We celebrated our anniversary here and the night was phenomenal from start to finish. The service is fantastic. Not only our waiter Stephen but also all the other staff that help with waters, clearing plates, delivering dishes. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. They all have great suggestions on the menus as well. It’s pricey to eat here but the food, service, and view make it all worth it. If you are looking for somewhere to celebrate something, I highly recommend Jean-George’s! We enjoyed everything we ate - not a single bad bite. My duck was probably the best thing if we had to pick one - my husband ordered the wagyu beef which was also delicious but even he said he wished he had the duck!
Kristen S — Google review
The service was fantastic, our server Yusuf was very professional and attentive. Started off with drinks, pretty good, a little on the sweet side, but the clear ice is a definite plus. Next, the appetizers fell flat, as we ordered the octopus a la plancha and kale salad. The kale salad was fine, but heavy handed on the lemon. Octopus was a little overcooked, so the flavor was mostly char and some sea with the texture of Haribo gummy. The saving grace of the dish was the romesco sauce and the bright red cabbage slaw served on the side. Continuing that theme of good sauces, the sea bass had a nice dill mint butter sauce with perfect potatoes. In addition, the smoked chili ragu on the rigatoni and meatballs was fantastic, the cook on the rigatoni was just right and the sauce had a great body, really elevating the dish. All in all, the ambiance of the venue really sells the place as well as the service. The menu feels a bit dated in style, but that can be expected of a lounge-style bar and restaurant. The price point is high, so it doesn’t seem to be a place I’ll come back to often, but the view alone could sell me a $25 cocktail on a special evening.

Nothing like having a birthday dinner on top of the city. The walk down of the steps out to the open floor is quite pleasing to the eye, also overlooking the city. We started the nite off with 6 plate course we had. Caviar which I had for the first time, I thought it was wonderful, not over powering at all. Very elegant taste to it. With the caviar we had some pasta that had delicious honey nut squash in the middle with a pumpkin seed purée. For the main we had the duck breast and wagyu steak. U only get 2 pieces of each, the duck, oh my that duck. So so good. I’m actually gonna go back myself just to have it again. It’s a nice breast with just the rite amount of fat on it to make it spectacular. The steak was high up there as well, For dessert, we had a passion fruit sorbet flower , a strawberry tart ring that has 10 different types of strawberries and pistachios, On the tart, also I received a little mini cake for my BD. The services was on point and the staff makes sure you fell welcomed. I would definitely be here again, can’t wait. In the end for 2 spent about $500 tip included.

Recently had a date night with my wife at this restaurant and it was an amazing experience. Top notch service as soon as we arrived at the entrance of the Four Seasons. I definitely recommend valet parking (around $45) as it is downtown and parking may be difficult to find. Someone walked us to the elevator and we enjoyed a view of the city on the way to the 60th floor! When the doors opened we were welcomed and enjoyed taking pictures with the beautiful holiday decorations. Had to wait about 20 minutes after our reservation time to be seated but was not disappointed because we had window seats and enjoyed a view of the city while dining. Sam attended to us and was excellent from start to finish! He gave great recommendations, was quick, efficient, and great personality! Food was very good but a bit pricy for the portion size. Overall great experience especially if you want a restaurant that has a beautiful ambiance.

Went here for a birthday dinner. We got a table with a beautiful city view as we had requested. The food was excellently seasoned and cooked. We had the corn truffle agnolotti and the roast romanesco with white bean puree for appetizers. Each mouthful was a delight! We then went on to the roast duck and roast lamp chop for dinner and they were truly sensational. We had the litchi raspberry Bellini and the fennel margarita for drinks. Towards the end of the meal, the staff got us a cute complimentary raspberry chocolate mousse cake for the birthday. Staff was very kind and patient and explained all the dishes and flavors to us in detail. We had the last reservation for the day but we never felt rushed. All in all, would highly recommend.

Recently had dinner with one of my best friends at Jean-Georges Philadelphia, and it was truly an experience. The restaurant is located at the top of the Four Seasons in the Comcast Center, so the views of the city are absolutely stunning, especially during the evening. The space itself has such a beautiful yet intriguing ambiance. Every dish I tried was delicious, but the standout for me was definitely the wagyu. It was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. We both ended the night with espresso martini, which was the perfect night cap. They were made just the way I like them. The service was also flawless. Everyone was attentive, warm, and made the whole evening feel special. All in all, it was the perfect place to celebrate and one of my top dining experiences I’ve had in Philly.

At first, I wasn’t too sure about the food because the portions looked really small, so I thought it might lack flavor. But what an experience! Every single bite was absolutely delicious. Definitely one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to worth every penny. And Stephen, our server, was amazing! The way he talked and explained everything made the experience even better.

Amazing view ! E we went there to celebrate a special day in our life, we picked the 6 course menu and it didn’t disappoint, food was delicious, and we also got a “treat” cart that arrived to our table with so many more chocolates and candies to try, we left dinner with a copy of our menu and a breakfast cake that we enjoyed the next morning. Shot out to our waiter Steven, his service was amazing person and was very attentive, he made sure we enjoyed our meal, and took extra effort to make our evening memorable, thank you Steve!

Adventure Aquarium, located on the Camden Waterfront just minutes from downtown Philadelphia, is a massive aquarium featuring a 3D theater and over 15,000 aquatic animals in two million gallons of water. It boasts unique exhibits including the largest collection of sharks in the Northeast, great hammerhead sharks, hippos, and Little Blue penguins. Visitors can also experience the longest Shark Bridge in the world, a V-shaped rope suspension bridge just inches over Shark Realm.
Very nice aquarium with unique sea animals. The little blue penguins are such a special treat to see and if course are ridiculously cute! They have 3 sea turtles which are so amazing. And absolutely hang with the hippos.. just love them Be sure to go into the shark tank during feeding time! Also the food is delicious with great views of Philly.

Super knowledgeable staff and absolutely fantastic place to visit, membership fees are reasonable and allow for unlimited visits throughout the year, easily paying for itself within two trips! Exhibits are impressive, well kept, but visibility does get overwhelmed during busier times (I’m looking at YOU, hippo tank during feeding times!) Food served here isn’t the best but is super quick cafeteria style service that I’d imagine is best for to satisfy a fussy kid, otherwise and runs on the higher end of prices, quality wasn’t the best I’ve ever had but wasn’t bad either - definitely just standard but the staff running the food area DEFINITELY works hard! Parking is a little complicated here, it’s not uncommon to have to park in the local lot that isn’t managed by the aquarium and runs higher in price as a result without being eligible for the parking discount provided by membership discounts.

My partner and I have went here together on three separate occasions, twice during special events. Once was the Animal Crossing event, and most recently, the Fintastic Pumpkin Glow one! Took a lot of great pictures, the decor was super fun all throughout the place. The aquarium is well kept with knowledgeable and passionate people who keep it alive. It gets busy, super busy. It is best to reserve before you go, regardless of what time of the week. The ticket lines can be long. Their kids area, Kaleidoscope Cove, has been completely revamped. It is stunning, lots of color and ways to keep busy hands.. busy! We spotted a sensory friendly booth as well and with how hectic things can be, I am very glad to see there is some designated space. Food is overpriced, admittedly, but we learned this trip around that the best way to go is to pack your own lunch and snacks. There is a water refill station so bringing a bottle could be helpful. Overall, incredible visit every time and beautiful to see all the different critters.

I brought my son to the Adventure Aquarium in Camden, NJ, and we had an amazing time. The place was clean, organized, and full of exciting exhibits. My son absolutely loved the hippos, that was his favorite part of the whole trip. He also enjoyed the sharks, stingrays, and the giant turtle. The staff was friendly and great with kids, which made the visit even better. It’s a perfect spot for a fun family outing, and I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for something enjoyable to do with their children. My son gave it 2 toma, toma!

My family & I came here on a Saturday for a great experience. The aquarium is very nice, clean, & it has a lot of exhibits. The aquarium isn't as big as I heard so once it fills up with people, walking around becomes challenging. The shark tunnel & shark bridge were both awesome. Highly recommend.
Kris M — Google review
I feel really on the fence about this aquarium. My kid absolutely loves it here and the exhibits are great. But the aquarium is a money trap. For one, the ticket prices are high, like $41/pp if you aren't a memmber. You also have to pay $10 for parking. Then you get in the place and it's just flooded with stuff to buy. You can't leave this place without passing through the gift shop AND their cafeteria. Not too mention the place is littered with vending machines for dipping dots, Skittles, soda, souvenir pennies, souvenir fake gold coins, and claw games. There are portrait cartoonists and face painters stationed right in the main intersection of the first floor exhibits. The face paint was like $20. Yikes. Even the virtual reality headset experience is extra $$$. Not to mention all the random snack stands at every turn. Even at the outside penguin exhibit there was an ice cream stand. I'm lucky if we can escape this place without spending more than $200/day for my family of three.

I went to adventure aquarium with my partner for the shark and ray encounter to celebrate my birthday. It was absolutely phenomenal! I would recommend this to anyone who is fascinated by marine life and is comfortable swimming. They fit you in a wet suit and bring you behind the scenes to observe sharks and feed stingrays. You learn about the animals you’ll see from the marine biologist. Everyone was very friendly, and the experience was so worth it. Just be aware that you do need to purchase aquarium tickets for each person in addition to paying $150+/person for the encounter, this was miscommunicated to us on the phone when booking. Other than that, everything was fabulous and I would do it again! They offer other encounters with various animals too.

Kids had a blast! I learned about pirate history. Snacks were abundant and not terribly overpriced. I've traveled to aquariums up and down the northeast as the kids have grown. I was surprised that one of my favorites was so close to home. Its definitely worth the trip. For the dads: the sandwich shop next door is top-notch.

Elfreth's Alley Museum is a picturesque cobblestone street in Philadelphia, known as the oldest continuously inhabited road in America. It maintains the authentic look and feel of an 18th-century street, with colonial-style homes that have been preserved and restored to reflect the period it was built in 1702. As a National Historic Landmark, it offers visitors a glimpse into early American history and architecture.
You can walk these historic street any time of the year but for their fete day you could tour parts of homes, the small alleys were open/unlocked. There was pasty to purchase. There was music and people dressed up like the 1700-1800, a tarot card reader in a home, tour guides all over to talk to. It was amazing, I have always admired this street so going to the fete was a bonus for me.

This is a pretty street to wonder down. Its small and some of the houses are in better condition than others. Is it worth the trip? Probably but i wasn't wowed. It will take you about a minute to walk down and the your done apart form walking back the other way.

Absolutely loved walking down this street! It’s so charming with the old brick houses, colorful shutters, cobblestone path, and all the flowers in front of the windows. It really feels like you stepped back in time but in the best way. There’s also a little museum right on the street that’s only $3 to enter, and it’s such a nice way to learn a bit of history while you’re here. Totally worth the stop! It’s quiet, pretty, and such a nice spot just to stroll, take pictures, or sit for a bit. Honestly one of my favorite little finds in Philly—definitely worth checking out if you’re nearby.
Rana S — Google review
The alley opens at 10 am. Daytime after 10 am gets busier. You may arrive early to catch photo ops but keep in mind that the beautiful charming houses are occupied by residents. There was a makers market on a Nov Saturday when we visited but on Sunday morning around 9:50, the whole alley was available for photography 📸.. Many professional photographers arrive there at around 10 am to avoid crowd.

Meh. Property owners exploiting their one claim to fame. It’s pretty. But nothing to write home about. If you live in one of the original 13 colonies, you most likely have a historic area with homes. So it might be something that you’ve seen before. Personally, I think that Frederick, Maryland, downtown is much prettier!
The A — Google review
The museum tells the history of “one of the oldest continuously inhabited residential streets in the United States” according to their website. The street is charming, if overpriced, and ironically began as a working class neighborhood. My biggest complaint are the ugly buildings constructed next door to the alley during the late 1970s. If you enjoy taking walks to see things, this is a decent stop.
Abigail E — Google review
Historically, Elfreth’s Alley is one of the oldest continuing residential block in the nation. The cobblestone street and the 18th century architecture of the buildings adds a wonderful and antiquated feeling to this experience. However, the alley is open to local small business vendors on Saturdays making it a popular, but crowded, destination for visitors. If personal space is an issue, then consider exploring the architect and the Alley on a non-Saturday.

I had a bit of a unique experience because I visited during the Chinese lantern festival. It looked like the square was still open during the day for free when we drove by, but we paid for the festival, and my girlfriend and I both think it was 100% worth it! The lanterns were amazing, and we entered awestruck! The lanterns were huge, and some of them were even interactive! It took a while to walk around, see everything, and try to view all of the lanterns moving! We also paid for mini golf, which was fun, and we love to play, but I'd recommend just getting the pass for the festival and seeing how incredible the lanterns look. Each display also had a sign with a short explanation of the importance of the animals in Chinese culture. My favorite part was the massive lanterns in the fountain and how it had a mini water show with music and many moving parts. It was about $28 per person, but worth every dollar!

Nice park. While we were there, the Chinese Lantern Festival was going on. What an amazing activity. It was spectacular during the day. I can only imagine how awesome it would be at night with it lit up! There are so many interactive displays that only work at night. I think it would have been fun but we only had one day in Philly. They do it every summer, so will be sure to plan for it next time we are there.

We spent a little time here with our pup. It was really hot, but we enjoyed wandering and looking at the lanterns (daytime). I can imagine how beautiful it is at night! We wanted to play mini golf, but our son was getting tired. It's a beautiful, clean space.

I went to the Chinese lantern festival, overall it was fine. Not especially exciting as it’s really just to walk around and look at various animal shapes, the beginning had the most traditional lanterns. Though the performances weee fantastic, kudos to the hard work of the performers, it was a joy to see. I would’ve given 3 stars, but took off a star for security confiscating my pepper spray and lying about me getting it back at the end of the night. Now my stuff is stolen or trashed when I simply could’ve brought it back to the car if they were being truthful.

Fantastic art walk in the middle of South Street. We had a great time just strolling around and enjoying the mosaics. It doesn’t take more than an hour to see everything - we added on to the experience by going to see other mosaics in the area. The variety and diversity of the embedded artwork is really enjoyable. An art space made from mosaics of tiles, glass bottles, mirrors, and even bicycle wheels ✨ Every wall feels like an extension of the artist’s soul — full of freedom, imagination, and creativity. It’s truly a paradise for photography lovers! 📷💫

It took the artist over 40 years to complete this piece and it leaves you wondering if there’s anything else like this. The vast amount of pieces and artistic graphics that were collected and shaped together over the years is simply astounding. It’s definitely a great way to explore art and share with the family. Pets are also allowed!

Artsy and glassy. What more could you want? This art exhibit fits Philly so well. The art is amazing. Definitely recommend going through the outside part twice as you’ll miss things the first time. Was smaller than I thought but lots to see. Don’t miss the inside part where there’s more art and some history too. Gift shop is cute. Get tickets ahead of time so you don’t have to wait in a line or deal with that.

Gorgeous studio! Once we toured, I found his work EVERYWHERE on South Street! What incredible mind(s). Thank you for such a lovely tour! *side note* (Would not recommend for extremely young children if you are uncomfortable speaking to them about nudity and genitalia)

The artist spent 30 years in developing this location. His creativity shows. There is an interesting outdoor patio in two levels. As well as an indoor section. We took our 10 and 8 year grandchildren. They enjoyed the visit.

Wow! Worth a visit! This quote in the mosaic sums it up “I built the sanctuary to be inhabited by my ideas and my fantasies.” Everything mosaic with many atypical features throughout. Multilevel and very interesting. The scavenger hunt was fun for a while and very challenging. I recommend because it’s unlike anything you’ve ever seen. You could spend hours looking at all the detailed elements.

Pizza restaurant
Sandwich shop
Angelo's Pizzeria is a no-frills eatery in South Philly that offers a range of classic and inventive sandwiches, fried snacks, and breakfast choices. While famous for its exceptional cheesesteak, which is considered one of the best in the city, getting your hands on one requires patience due to their phone-only ordering system. However, their thin-crust pizzas and Italian hoagies are also highly praised.
Hands down my #1 favorite Philly Cheesesteak throughout the entire city of Philadelphia. The Cheesesteaks at Angelo's are on another level. The rolls are amazing from Sarcone's Bakery a few doors down, which is generations of perfection. It takes years to get the flavor that they have cooked onto those flat grills. The way everything perfectly blends together, the meat, the cheese, & the fried onions, then they top it all off with that perfect Sarcone's seeded roll. Also their Nonna's Pie "Grandma's Pizza", is absolutely mouth watering. That pizza has the best crust you will ever taste in your entire life. So simple, so fresh, so flavorful, then served in that monumental Angelo's pizza box piping hot & ready for you to indulge in flavor heaven. Thank you as always to all the staff at Angelo's & Sarcone's for creating such delicious perfection honoring our great city of Philadelphia.

Don’t just get the cheesesteaks, the pizza is well worth it. It’s clear these guys know how to make dough. The crust was crispy, nice crumb, no flop, very good chew from the rise, and good flavor from the ferment. Sauce was solid, good quality cheese. Reminded me of a solid New Haven style crust. Slightly dry, but still good. The only major downside was the undercarriage - way too much flour going in the oven, burned and left a slightly bitter flavor. Definitely worth a visit.

I had done a bit of research looking for the best cheesesteak in Philly. I have never been to the city and I have never had an authentic cheesesteak. I finally settled on this spot and my buddy suggested this same place before I even mentioned it. I walked directly there from the 30th street train station ( same from NYC) and was able to order pretty much right away. It was busy as all get out but things moved quickly. Thankfully it wasn’t when there a line out the door around the corner. I got the classic cheesesteak with cooper cheese and onions. The wait was only a little more than 10 minutes. The bagged deliciousness was dense. I opened it outside and started to explore heaven. It was messy but not awfully messy in a bad way. I didn’t even have one single napkin but be wary of that. The cheese was plenty and tasty without being overpowering. The chopped beef was tender and juicy and easy to chew/swallow. The roll had semolina seeds and added a nice texture and flavor as well. I ate the WHOLE thing in one shot. It’s filling with just 1/2 and saving the rest for a snack but I just couldn’t do that. I had one soda with it and the total was $21. I gave $25 and left it at that. It is cash only but most of these establishments are so that was no surprise. Is it a little pricey, sure but these specialty spots in cities usually are. No big deal. 10/10 and I would visit again in the future.

OK, I’ve been dying to try an Angelo’s cheesesteak. I picked up on a Wednesday around 4 o’clock. I called for a pick up and it was done in about 20 minutes. I ordered cheesesteak with onions and Cooper sharp as well as a grandma pizza and an upside down pizza. These three items are their most popular. First for the cheesesteak. It was all it was cracked up to be. Especially the roll! Angelos makes their own rolls and of course the roll makes the cheesesteak. Great cheese to steak ratio as well. I give it a perfect 10! First of the two pizzas I’ll talk about is the grandma. Thin crust Sicilian with cheese on top. Second pizza the upside down is sauce on the top and a thicker crust. Also Sicilian. I’m usually a thin crust person but the thicker crust upside down pizza I enjoyed more because the crust was cooked to perfection. Even though it was a thicker crust, it was quite airy. The thin crust grandma was very good, but needed to be cooked a little bit more. I would definitely recommend all three items. Price for all three $72. Angelos only accepts cash. No seating take out only.

My husband and I were in the area and stopping here was a must. There was a line already when we got there ten minutes before they opened but the wait was well worth it and I was pleasantly surprised how fast we got our food considering. Was well worth the wait. The food was amazing, we got The Pops, a cheesesteak, and a cheese pizza to try a little bit of everything and we were not disappointed. The one very tiny thing I would change is how crispy the bread is, but that's if I search for something I would like to be different. Well done.

As a Philadelphia local, I know a great cheesesteak when I taste one—and Angelo’s certainly delivers. I visited on a Friday morning to avoid the usual rush. Although there was a short line outside, most patrons were simply waiting for their orders, and I received mine within ten minutes. The sandwich was exceptional. The house-baked roll, topped with poppy seeds, offered a delicate crunch on the outside while maintaining a soft, freshly baked texture within. The steak was both flavorful and generously portioned, creating a perfectly balanced bite from start to finish. Angelo’s continues to uphold its reputation as one of the best cheesesteak spots in the city.
Noel A — Google review
Got here on a Wednesday around 1pm. There were about 8 people ahead of us. The order line moves fairly quickly. We waited 10-15 mins to get our food. I'm from SoCal... our best Philly cheese steak cannot even compete with Angelo's. The BREAD, the FLAVOR; everything about this cheeses steak... omg. Why didn't I order an extra one for later?
Connee S — Google review
The pizza looks better than it looks. There’s no flavor and, in an attempt to have a good undercarriage, they sacrifice lightness. It’s my 4th favorite pizza in Philly and I’ve only been to 4 places. The cheesesteak is excellent. The service is awful. The attitude can be charming, in the right hands. This isn’t that. I feel bad for the neighbors.

Ice cream shop

The Franklin Fountain is a charming ice cream parlor and soda fountain in Philadelphia, owned by two bow-tie-wearing brothers who are passionate about old-school ice cream parlors. Since its opening in 2004, the shop has aimed to provide an experience filled with nostalgia and forgotten American flavors. The menu offers a variety of whimsical and classic ice cream flavors, sundaes, splits, milkshakes, and other delightful treats.
Food- 5/5 Service- 4/5 Ambiance- 4/5 Drinks- 5/5 (milkshakes) Value- 3/5 A Sweet Step Back in Time at Franklin Fountain Franklin Fountain in Old City Philadelphia is more than just an ice cream shop – it's a delightful dip into history with a side of truly delicious, hand-crafted ice cream. From the moment you step inside, you're transported by the charmingly old-fashioned decor, packed with historical artifacts that add a unique flavor to the experience. The ice cream itself is the star of the show. With a good array of flavor options, it's clear that care and quality go into each batch. The "hand-crafted" description isn't just a label; the rich and satisfying taste speaks for itself. Be prepared for a bit of a wait! On our visit, there was a line of about 15 people ahead of us, and it continued to grow behind us. This popularity speaks to the quality of their offerings, but it's something to keep in mind if you're on a tight schedule. While the ice cream was undeniably good and the historical ambiance added to the enjoyment, I wouldn't necessarily make a special trip just for Franklin Fountain. However, if you find yourself exploring the historical wonders of Old City, a stop here for a sweet treat is an absolute must. It's a lovely way to cap off a day of sightseeing and indulge in a taste of the past. Overall: Delicious, hand-crafted ice cream in a uniquely historical setting. Worth the wait if you're in the area!

Ice cream - 5/5 Service - 4/5 Atmosphere- 4/5 I really loved the ice cream BUT like much or the reviews said the experience was a bit over-hyped. There is no indoor seating and it is difficult to actually interact and watch the bow-tied server concoct your concoctions. I would recommend going if you are in the area but it probably isn’t worth going out of your way just for the ice cream. There are plenty of other high-end artisanal ice cream shops in Philly. It’s cute and kitsch and the serving are huge but it isn’t a must visit while in town.

This was my first time there . I loved the retro decor and flair. They have a great ice cream selection you can also get soda water or floats. My selection was a scoop from f coconut on a sugar waffle cone. It was delicious!!!! I would definitely recommend this place.

Been to Franklin Fountain a couple times. Its classic. But quite expensive. Definitely a special occasion type of place. Large variety of flavors. Very small shop but its beautiful inside. My go to is the matcha green tea and strawberry. Someone else in my party got root beer float and ice cream sundae. Were all great.

The ice cream was ok, thought it would be something amazing being they have such a long history there. Not much space in this corner lot. There are only a few customers that are allowed inside at one time and ifs the summer you have the close the door behind you to keep the AC from escaping. Your ice cream is served in a take out box. There is no seating inside, only outside seating.

The price is insane! I paid about $17 for a two scoop plus a waffle cone. The waffle cone alone was $5! I will say, The waffle cone was the best part of this trip. These cones are thick and tasty. The ice cream was ok. The ice cream was too soft and was melting faster than one could lick. The pumpkin flavor had a great pumpkin spice taste but the aftertaste wasn’t pleasant. The chocolate fudge brownie was rich in chocolate and brownie. The portions are large so prepare yourself if you get two scoops.

If you look at the reviews for this place and the photos online you’re thinking you’re about to have the best experience and ice cream sunday or banana split of your life. Not the case. Rather your wooed by the ambience and old-fashioned atmosphere, the signs for the homemade whipped cream, house made sodas etc….and then you get your order. My “banana split for my baby” didn’t have one singular slice of banana in it, not one spanish peanut, was drowning in store-bought whipped cream and had two cherries on it (which were not listed as a part of it on the menu). My husband’s hot fudge Sunday was below average and overall we spent $32 😱 on two items. Wish the product lived up to the overall cool vibe of the place. I loved the phone (that still works) and all the old school knickknacks. Maybe next time we’ll stick with a waffle cone and flavored ice cream.

First time here. The drinks were good, amaretto sour with a froth, and a espresso martini. The waitress stated that the salad appetizer was enough for the whole table of four. It wasn't even enough for 2. I had the mussels, they were a bit fishy tasting for everyone. I also had the Atlantic cod, which was seasoned just right. The crab dish in a shell was tasty, it had little yellow edible flowers in it. My friends loved the pork chop dish, and the pasta. Desserts were good, I had the pretzel crusted cannoli with chocolate mouse, friends had the goat milk ice cream with a berry sauce. They were all fresh and light. I would return for dessert and drinks. It's a little pricey for the portions, but that's what you get when you have awards

This place was a surprise in so many ways. My daughter and I love going out to a good meal, I visit from Baltimore, she lives in Philly. Perhaps we just elevated our selection with Fork! Our server was delightful, and helpful. The team is lovely: I like that we saw and talked to our server when we needed to and the other team members checked on us, without being invasive—we felt cared for. It’s impressive that Fork has been here for 26 years and looks so fresh, tidy, and architecturally interesting. The booth we sat in with glass seperately is clever and I felt like I stepped back into Philly’s long history. Thank you, for a lovely evening

We had a disappointing brunch experience here (10/11/2025). First issue — the only bartender was also our server, and he was too busy with drink orders to give us attentive service. Aside from taking our order, he never checked in, and it was difficult to flag him down when we needed something. At one point, another server had to step in to help. Second issue — my husband’s steak and eggs came out rare when he ordered medium. It’s unclear whether the bartender entered it incorrectly or the kitchen made a mistake, but since the steak was sliced and visibly rare, it never should’ve been served that way if the order was entered correctly. Third issue — when the kitchen “fixed” it, they reheated the steak slices and brought them back on the same plate, where the scrambled eggs and potatoes were now lukewarm. For a restaurant of this caliber, the entire dish should’ve been remade. Reheating food that’s already been served and putting it back on the same plate is a food safety risk, which is especially disappointing for a restaurant that boasts of being a James Beard Foundation award winner. Fourth issue — our bartender/server never mentioned the issue to the manager. He delivered the check without an apology or any acknowledgement of what went wrong. I ended up requesting to speak to a manager, and the manager was clearly surprised about everything that happened. To his credit, the manager apologized profusely and comped our entire meal, even though the only menu item I wanted comped was the steak and eggs. I appreciate how the manager handled it and made things right, but I’m honestly surprised a restaurant with this reputation had so many basic service and food handling issues. —- Below is the response I originally got from Fork on 10/17. I’m not sure why management edited their response weeks later: Response to my Fork review: Hi Wen, Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed review of your recent brunch experience on 10/11. We sincerely apologize for the disappointing visit and want you to know that your concerns are being taken very seriously. First and foremost, we regret that your service fell short due to our bartender being stretched too thin. While we aim to provide attentive, seamless service no matter the staffing situation, we clearly missed the mark here, and that’s not the standard we hold ourselves to. We’re also very sorry about the mishandled steak order and how it was addressed. You're absolutely right that a steak ordered medium should never be served rare, and reheating a plated dish, rather than remaking it fresh, is unacceptable—both from a quality and food safety standpoint. Your feedback has prompted a thorough review of our kitchen and service protocols to ensure this doesn't happen again. Regarding the lack of communication between your server and our management team—we completely agree that your concerns should have been acknowledged and escalated sooner. We're glad to hear our manager was able to step in and take corrective action, but that should have happened proactively, not after your request. We deeply appreciate your recognition of how the manager handled the situation, and we're equally grateful that you gave us the opportunity to address the issue while you were still here. Please know we are taking this feedback to heart and making internal adjustments to prevent similar experiences in the future. If you're open to giving us another chance, we’d love the opportunity to provide the kind of experience you rightfully expected.

One of the best meals I have had in Philly. Tried Fork for the first time after having it on my list to visit for years now and from the service to the food & drinks, everything was great. Dim sum restaurant
Dim Sum Garden is a popular Chinese restaurant located in Chinatown that has gained legendary status since its opening in 2013. The chef, Shizhou Da, brings over 30 years of experience to the table and offers a menu filled with flavor-packed dishes. The restaurant is known for its range of dumplings, classic rice and noodle meals, and Shanghai-styled treats such as shao mai and marinated duck noodle soup.
Really clean new place! The dumplings were spot on authentic! Juicy, tasty, and just all around delicious! We orders 6 items. The Char Siu bao came out first, not pictured. This was the only thing we did not enjoy fully. The filling was good. However you can tell the bao was reheated as parts of it were dried out. Only downside is they only take cash. Which I think is under handed IMO. But they do provide you an ATM. Just know there are not signs that tells you it’s cash only nor do they tell you when you sit down or order. You find out when you find out. In our case we had to ask since we saw the ATM.

Cash only! Dinner was great. I would have liked the Shanghai rice to be fried a little harder. But that would be my preference. It was good. The crab rangoon was large and full. The pork buns are soft and fluffy. It was a great experience because of Mindy's attention to us.

TLDR: Avoid, I would not recommend to my enemy unless I really hated them. 🤢 Potential health violation? Dirty dishes replaced with “fresh” dirty dishes. (the new place setting had dried pieces of leftover food from the previous use) 💀 Sticky! Everything was sticky, grime sticky, not dumpling sauce sticky. The bottom of dish plates, the individual plates, the bowl, the spoon 💰Cash-only restaurant that charges tax (pick one, you know?) ————————— We had tried this restaurant as a late night option at 9pm. Our one server was a gem—which is why I gave a 2 star instead of a 1 star. Other than that, the sheer cleanliness (or lack thereof) ruined the whole food experience—I was too grossed using the sticky utensils and plates let alone think about how “clean” the kitchen where the food is made is. 😷 decent food: - shanghai soup dumplings (heavy hand with the sauce) 3/5 - crispy garlic lettuce — crunchy! 4/5 - salt and pepper wings — salty! good fry 3.5/5 Other food (1/5) - shrimp dumplings had thick wrapper that was too chewy and felt frozen - fish sour soup lacked flavor and spice - garlic bean sprouts looked old and wilted, there was a layer of white film on top and the sauce was a little too thick and corn-starchy

This place has always been a favorite of mine, but the renovated location two doors down is down adds an amazing atmosphere and upscale ambience to the always fantastic food. On top of that, Ryan provides a level of service that is unmatched. I moved away years ago, and every time I come back to town I bring whoever I’m with to get pork soup dumplings. A favorite experience of mine, and I never leave hungry. Every time I leave, I can’t wait to come back. Love this place, don’t miss out!

We got a table right away on Sunday afternoon before it got too busy. The service was very fast. We order a pork soup dumpling and it was delicious. Then we had a salty duck and white rice. Duck comes with small pieces of bone in it. So be careful. Dried nodules with beef was very good also. Only cash. Place was packed. I’d go back next time.

Updated review: Dim Sum Garden still has great food but the quality of service has definitely gone down 😢 At the old restaurant, the service was definitely better, maybe because it was smaller 🤷‍♂️ Whenever we went to the old location, it would be a guarantee that the service would be great. At the new location it’s a hit or miss and too often they’ll forget an item we ordered or sometimes they’ll forget to make our drinks. However, they do a good job at correcting these orders so that’s nice to see. Aside from all this, the food is still delicious. I would definitely recommend the shrimp dumplings or the pork soup dumplings. PS. Attached photos are the nasty bathrooms 🤢 in the dim sum garden fashion they will never change lol

Shopping
Philadelphia Mills, previously known as Franklin Mills, is a vast shopping complex located in Northeast Philadelphia. With over 150 stores including popular brands like Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH and Forever 21, this mall offers a wide range of options for bargain hunters. In addition to the numerous value brand stores, visitors can also enjoy food courts, a movie theater, and seven theme restaurants.
A large and beautiful mall on the inside, but unfortunately, like many massive shopping centers, it feels almost deserted. There are so few visitors that it’s hard to imagine how the stores manage to stay open. As you walk through, you see closed shops and vacant spaces scattered throughout. It’s not surprising—many of the stores likely don’t see the point of staying in a place that gets so little foot traffic.

I’m not sure why folks are lying in the reviews but me and my daughter came to this mall on Sept 10. I was so excited to get to show her the mall I grew up going too now that she’s a young adult. I was saddened to see that it’s severely deserted. There was a handful of stores thriving in there and all of the rest completely closed down. Such a hug beautiful mall but even the foot traffic was non existent. We ended up going to KOP Mall the next day and enjoying some good shopping. KOP Mall is still booming.

Have been coming here for years and always enjoyed the plethora and variety of stores. Planned a trip weeks ago with a friend and we went down yesterday. There were DOZENS of vacated (empty) stores. A couple of stores were closed (stocked without employees) on a Saturday @ 2pm - prime shopping time! Most of the restaurants in the food courts were also vacated. Not a good sign for the Simon group. We are in the beginning of the holiday season…the shops should be full and bustling with shoppers. I fear this is the sign of the end. While I was disappointed, my 3 favorite stores were still there; it wasn’t a complete loss. But, I don’t think I’ll be making a special trip to come here in the future; it’s an hour’s drive each way. Sad…another sign of the times and consequence of web-shopping!

Massive shopping mall on i95. Plenty of parking and good selection of shops. Plenty of restaurants around the mall but not enough inside the mall. The mall seems to be on the quite side and past it's glory days with too many shops closed. On the other hand prices were fairly good and bargain hunters may like it.

It's a vast Mall. Clean with quite a few stores. I would not call it an outlet mall. It does have a variety of stores both well known like Nautica, Marshall, Home Goods, Sketcher & unknown like Turn 7, VIP to name a few. Good price point. It does quite a few vacancies. But was not crowded. There was not much selections in food. Also not many places to sit along the long walk through the Mall. Outside not much to appealing to the eye. But there is plenty of places to park. Worth a visit!

Nice place to walk around, however, so many shops have left like Nike and Forever 21 to name a few. The other major stores like Walmart n Burlington must've gotten robbed too many times that it's a process to just enter stores. If you don't like crowds and enjoy walking around, this is a great place as it's mostly dead in here, which can be nice if you like the peacefulness like I do

Neshaminy Mall, a sprawling one-million-square-foot indoor shopping center, first opened its doors in 1968. The mall is thoughtfully designed to incorporate natural elements such as a picturesque fountain with a cascading waterfall and indigenous plants and trees from the surrounding area. Visitors can explore an array of retail outlets offering apparel, home goods, and footwear, as well as diverse dining options and even catch a movie at the on-site theater.
For an open dead mall it’s fantastic! Plenty time to just sit with your own thoughts. They did such a good job with the feel of Spatial anomaly that it reigns supreme.

This has got to be one of the saddest malls that I've ever been to. It was a summer weekday and there were probably 50 people walking through the mall. Half of the stores are closed and I honestly don't know how the food court affords to have vendors. I know malls are outdated but wow, so sad to see that era end. Everything was clean and employees nice.

This is very sad. Growing up we went to this mall a lot and it was a great local mall. Now it's really on life support... Most of the spaces are empty and even more telling of the issues in the mall the people working there almost seem to not expect customers... It's very sad to see honestly and I hope they find a way to breath new life into this mall.

As Malls go, this one is trending down. Years ago this was always crowded. It had variety of stores with well known anchor stores. Sadly return visit, food court is bare, down to a Oriental and Pizza vendor. Considerable amount of vacancies. Only anchor store Boscov and Barnes & Noble. It's one level great open space for indoor walking. Outside the Mall can find restaurants, which seems to be trending. Aross the street Target and Home Depot. Check out Horizon area several fast food eateries, Walmart and Lowes. Reinventing the Mall(s) is a challenge. But there is plenty around the Mall to do.
Elquis E — Google review
No longer a mall! Boscovs, Barns and Noble, and the movie theater are the only reasons anyone goes here. I love Boscovs! They have great sales, household items, jewelry, and clothing for all. It's one of the last remaining department types of stores that you shop at.

Went to AMC Neshaminy 24 Theaters. Very disappointing. The place has gone down It used to be my go to. The seats were dirty made out of a carpet material like & uncomfortable. They also do not recline. The Mall is like a ghost town. There's barely three stores barely surviving. There's no places to buy food. Honestly was no staff because there is no stores. This used to be a great Mall. SMH! 🙂‍↔️ Sad

I went here for the first time to go to Claire’s for my baby’s first ear piercing and I would say this is a very nice mall. It’s very clean, organized, big (many stores of course), has friendly people, and etc….
Shae P — Google review
Sadly, this is a mall that once was great. Today, the main attractions are AMC 24, Barnes and Noble and Boscovs. Not sure if it will revitalize going forward.

The Cherry Hill Mall is a regional shopping destination with over 140 stores and restaurants. It has a mix of high-end and affordable retailers, making it a popular choice for shoppers in the Philadelphia area. The mall is located just eight miles from Center City, Philadelphia.
Solid spot for shopping-over a hundred stores like Nordstrom, Zara, and Lululemon, plus great food options like The Capital Grille. It's clean, central, and got that classic mall vibe.
Greg T — Google review
While the Cherry Hill Mall doesn't offer a particularly wide selection of stores, and the atmosphere seems a bit "heartless," the mall does have its advantages: There are no parking problems, and it's not overcrowded, so you can shop in peace. It's definitely suitable for a relaxed, stress-free shopping trip.
Baho O — Google review
No complaints about the actual mall itself, except that scam of a kiosk called Pinstraight. I was approached and I literally said no 5 times. i did not want to be touched but the girl Anna did not wanna let me leave. And gave me a whole bs on how it doesn’t use heat. I could not walk away because she literally harassed me into letting her touch my hair when I said I did NOT like people touching my hair and that I didn’t even straighten my hair to begin with. Well she straighten a strand of my hair anyway and guess what? It uses heat because I saw smoke and she said to me “see that steam, its not because its hot but its how it works” like girl didn’t even spray a heat protectant knowing damn well every straightener USES heat. She claims to be a hair dresser but doesn’t know how products work. When I said no to buying, she wouldn’t let me go, when I explained I didn't have money she asked how much I had, then proceeded to ask me what I had in cash. She tried to get me to buy it for $100 even though it was technically worth “390” because its what it said on the box. I explained its still a no because guess what? I knew it was a scam. My first experience at this mall and that ruined it entirely. i will never go back due to how uncomfortable and violated I felt. I would have gone to security but at that point I just wanted to leave. Other than that awfulness the mall was quite pretty and if that kiosk is gone than I’ll be back for sure.

Good evening Google Family. I have not visited this mall since I was a teenager. A lot has changed, however Cherry HIll Mall does not have a lot of stores that I patronize. J.C Penney, Macy, Nordstrom are all stores that I do not shop from. Nordstrom is notoriously too high as well as Macy's, not as high as Nordstrom, but they are still high. JC Penney does not have any attractions for me. As far as I am concerned, Cherry Hill Mall is a joke. They have shops just nothing that I am interested in. Nothing attracted my eye or attention. The rest room was clean. The parking lot is big since it is a mall. Plenty of parking plus handicapped spaces. I looked for a handbag since my bag from TJ Maxx came apart, the zipper no longer works. I did not see anything that I liked, just TOO HIGH PRICES!!! I quickly left and I am on my way to Burlington, which is in my pricing budget. Not a good experience to say the least. Have a good night, workout, be healthy, fit and Fabulous!!!!

It's the holiday season! The mall is packed with last minute shoppers. But the holiday atmosphere is warm and cozy. Loved Apple Store and the welcoming and helpful store assistants. As soon as we stepped in just to look, we were greeted by Andrew and then we got whatever our questions answered. Then Justin helped us solve some problems. Thumbs up for you guys! 👍👍 Hot Topic is my daughter's favorite store. And Food Court is the place we would grab a quick meal or drink. There are stores big or small that will fill your needs.
Angela Z — Google review
Most of the time, I only shop in Macy's. Its been over 10 years that I ever walk through the entire mall, and I was fascinated with all the new stores thats there! The holiday season is approaching, so I will definitely be back very soon.

**Google Review for Cherry Hill Mall - Employee Adam Morolda** ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I just had to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for an incredible employee at Cherry Hill Mall, Adam Morolda. My daughters and I were visiting the mall for the first time, and while we were having a great time, an unfortunate incident occurred that could have turned our day sour—but thanks to Adam, it ended on a high note! As we approached the escalator, I noticed a little girl looking frightened. I encouraged her to step in front of the escalator, while I was holding my 3-year-old's hand. In an unexpected moment, she tugged on my hand as I stepped onto the escalator, causing me to lose my balance. In an effort to protect her, I instinctively pulled her back, but my phone, which I was holding in my other hand, slipped from my grasp and fell into the water fountain about 10-12 feet down! Naturally, we all panicked. My sister alerted me to look for my phone in the water. When we got safely to the bottom of the escalator, I made sure my girls were settled on a bench before seeking help. That’s when I met Adam. I approached him and explained the situation. While a security guard was present, she unfortunately didn’t seem willing to assist, only stating that she couldn’t help without even asking about the specifics of where my phone landed. However, Adam didn’t give up! He immediately went under the escalator and, to my astonishment, was able to locate my phone right in the middle of the fountain. He first tried to jump down, and when that didn’t seem like a viable option, he quickly found a long stick and, with great care, managed to reach my phone and lift it out of the water! I couldn’t believe it—my phone came out with not even a small scratch on it, thanks to its water-resistant design! In a moment of stress and chaos, Adam truly acted as a Good Samaritan. His willingness to help and his determination to retrieve my phone made all the difference. I’m currently typing this review from my phone now, and I cannot thank him enough for his kindness and quick action. Kudos to Adam for being an outstanding employee and a genuine hero! Thank you, Cherry Hill Mall, for having such fantastic staff!

The Betsy Ross House, located in Philadelphia, is a historic landmark that was the residence of Betsy Ross from 1752 to 1836. It is believed that she designed and sewed the first American flag here in 1776. The house features a front part built in the Pennsylvania colonial style around 1740, with additional sections added later.
The Betsy Ross House is such a great stop in Philly! It’s small but full of history, and you really get a feel for what life was like in the 1700s. The tour is affordable, easy to follow, and the staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. A must-visit if you want to connect with America’s history up close.
Rana S — Google review
A lovely historical building in the old part of Philadelphia. However, for how small the house is I thought the entry fee was quite expensive considering other historical landmarks around Philadelphia are free.
Carlos U — Google review
This is the possible former residence of the woman anecdotally credited with designing the first standardized flag of the United States by adding five-pointed stars to the flag. The house is currently operated by Historic Philadelphia, Inc. which offers self-guided and audio guided tours of the property. I did not go on a tour during my visit but did enjoy the restored façade and Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission sign located outside the house. This is a popular place for bus tours and school groups, making this stop always busy, especially with rude tourists. This house is not on the National Register of Historic Places, and what may have been the actual Ross House was torn down to give more space for this property.
Abigail E — Google review
Persistence. Betsy Ross may not have fought in the war, or signed the constitution but she was still a true and loyal patriot! This nice little museum is very well set up but not too big. Set in Betsy's former home you can see life in the 18th century and learn more of her famous story. I think my favorite thing was having a real person acting as Betsy Ross to answer any questions you have.

Restaurant
Sonny's Famous Steaks is a no-frills cheesesteak shop located on Market Street in Old City Philadelphia. It's part of the cluster of cheesesteak options claiming to be the best in the city and catering to travelers. According to GQ Magazine, Sonny's has won multiple awards, including Best Cheesesteak in Philadelphia.
Only in Philly for one night and had to get the cheesesteak. Got it on a gluten free baguette. Cashier was courteous and helpful. Service was quick. Mine came piping hot as it was the first to come out in a slew of orders. It was delicious. With 18% tip it came to $25. Hit the spot though. The GF bun was decent so I can only imagine what it’s like on real bread.

We were looking for the best Philly Cheesesteak while in Philadelphia. I finally determined it is impossible. After consuming 3, they were so different from each other, I am not sure how you determine which is best or original etc.. However, I did really like this one. I got it with onions and Cooper Cheese. I thought the meat could have been seasoned just a little more, and include a little more cheese. I did eat the entire sandwich which was a first. The fries were also perfectly done. Price was very fair.

Narrow restaurant with limited seating inside. Line moved quickly and the smell of grilled meat and onions made us hungry. Ordered Sonny’s loaded cheesesteak with onions mushrooms and peppers with onion rings and fries. The sandwich was stuffed with meat and the provolone was gooey. Excellent sandwich and the rings were thick and crispy My wife got the gluten free bun and it was excellent. Highly recommended. We took our sandwiches to a nearby park to eat lunch. My daughter shared her pictures with me for this post

Great spot for a cheesesteak that’s close to independence hall and liberty bell. What I enjoyed - great atmosphere, great location, great service and friendly staff, steak cooked well done, great rolls, reasonable price. What may need work - due to steak being well done (which I like) it made the cheesesteak quite dry. I recommend more cheese to help with that (we prefer Cooper Sharp). Overall happy with our experience and food. Will be back again but will order extra cheese.

I think Sonny's is famous because they tell everyone it is ! When you're running an old established and apparently iconic fast food store, it would be good if it was looked after and well managed. It didn't help having the strong smell of 'weed' outside and a few stoned guys milling around. Adrian, seemed to begrudgingly take my order with the absolute bare minimum of conversation, total lack of assistance and plenty of apathy! It wasn't busy, however, the store had full bins, stacked empty bread trays in the corner and dirty tables, the place did not give a hygienic appearance with its retro look ! The 'famous' cheese steak sandwich was nothing special although it did taste fresh. Overall, a disappointing experience not to be repeated in my opinion and I would not take children there !!
Bin B — Google review
Healthiest cheesesteak I've ever eaten. First cheesesteak experience in philly. Did not disappoint. The meat was very lean, not fat, and very tasty. Right amount of cheese. Really cool experience!
David W — Google review
Sonny’s is a great cheese steak. It just isn’t as good as some others I had. I can’t give it 5 stars because others are better. If you’re in the area and this is closer go here it’s great. If in Philly and wanting to try several cheese steaks don’t miss this one…

Spanish restaurant
Amada Philadelphia is the flagship restaurant of chef-restaurateur Jose Garces, offering a modern twist on traditional Spanish tapas. The menu features over 50 small plates, including crab-stuffed peppers and flatbread with artichoke and black truffle. Ingredients are carefully sourced from northern Spain, with an emphasis on exquisite cheeses. The restaurant's large front room exudes a lively atmosphere, while the second dining room offers a quieter setting.
Incredible food and great experience. Options for all especially if you want something small or big. Alex was very helpful in choosing dishes and recommended a delicious vegetable Paella. We also had the chorizo and potatoes bravas which were perfect. Alex was very kind and gave us a cheese dish on him! All was delicious and service was amazing and Alex killed it.

Stopped in here for happy hour to check it out (my gf had been raving about it for a long time). I wasn’t disappointed at all! All of the small plates I tried were absolutely incredible. The service was fast even though they were quite busy. Finally, the sangria (both offerings) were nothing short of amazing. Thank you!
Alexander W — Google review
Amada is Chef Garces' iconic first restaurant. When searching for a romantic dinner location during our weekend away in Philadelphia, we searched no further than Amada. Entering the rustic industrial space one is immediately nestled in a warm and sexy ambiance. This tapas style restaurant offers a plethora of delicious bites expertly prepared and complemented by vast wine and cocktail selections . We chose The Estrella and Pain & Glory cocktails to start. The Estrella is a vodka based drink mixed with St. Germain, lemon, blueberry and finished with club soda. The P&G is a habanero tequila based drink blended with agave, lime and fresh apples. Both were a wonderful pairing with our tapas selections. We began with Gambas al Ajillo and the Bruselas Catalana. The shrimp were plump, perfectly cooked and steeped in a rich and flavorful garlic sauce that offered a slight hint of smoky heat. The Brussels were like none I have ever tried and probably the best I've ever had, and I am a frequent Brussels eater! They are enveloped in a Valdeon fondue then sprinkled with pine nuts and tart green apple. A marriage of flavors absolutely made in heaven! Last we culminated our meal with the Entrecote, a thinly sliced Wagyu Skirt Steak served with a bright and herbaceous chimichurri and a petite Salmon filet served with a Saffron Vinaigrette. The steak was beautifully marbled and the preparation highlighted the natural rich flavor of the meat. The salmon skin was seared to perfection and the filet was moist, juicy and seasoned to perfection. Overall, Amada is a MUST when in the Philly area. Chef Garces' first concept is truly first rate!! You will not be disappointed!!

Got to finally check out Amada for Brunch. Was pleasantly surprised. Jenn who greeted us gave great recommendations. By far one of the best Espresso Martinis I have had in the city. Food packs flavor and great value. Try the Bacon Wrap Dates!

What a fantastic experience! I booked Amada for Mother’s Day brunch to celebrate my wife’s first Mother’s Day, and we couldn’t have been happier. I reserved a table online and we were seated promptly upon arrival. Our server was incredibly friendly, attentive, and especially kind and helpful with our son. We started with the bread basket—highlighted by the standout olive oil cake—and enjoyed a variety of tapas. The Ensalada Verde was probably our favorite, though the croquettes were also delicious. For our mains, we had the Revulto and Crab Benedict, both packed with flavor. We couldn’t resist ordering the sangria pancakes for a sweet finish—absolutely worth it! Everything from the food to the ambience made for a truly memorable and special Mother’s Day celebration. IG: journey_man16

My husband and I had the most wonderful dinner date at this tapas restaurant. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, cozy, and romantic—perfect for a night out together. The staff was welcoming and attentive, striking the right balance between giving us space to enjoy our evening and being available whenever we needed something. The food was absolutely outstanding. Each small plate was beautifully presented and full of flavor. We ordered the chef’s selection and was pleased with every bite. We especially loved the calamari, wagyu steak and the fried pimientos which were cooked to perfection and paired so well with the wine we ordered. Sharing the different dishes made the meal feel interactive and fun, and every bite was a new highlight. What really stood out was how smoothly everything flowed, even though the restaurant was busy. The service was friendly, efficient, and made us feel like valued guests. It’s rare to find a place that combines delicious food, great service, and a romantic vibe all in one, but this restaurant delivered on every level. We left already talking about when we’ll come back. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable date night spot!

I have so many memories from this lovely place. I have been going several times a week while I lived in Philly. The chef Jose Garces did an awesome job with the menu of Spanish Tappas. I have great memories savoring the patatas bravas. The shrimp with garlic and the manchego cheese green salad. So many amazing dishes to count. I don’t know if they changed the menu post covid but this has been one of my top favorites
