Shopping mall
Shopping
Plaza Las Américas is a modern indoor shopping plaza in San Juan, offering a variety of stores and restaurants for visitors to enjoy. With its arched mezzanines and seasonal decor, the mall provides a perfect setting for some retail therapy or to pick up any forgotten items. While it may not offer traditional Puerto Rican souvenirs, it boasts over three hundred stores including chain outlets, the latest fashion trends, American dining options, movie theaters, and unique shops.
Largest mall in the Carribean! Lots of shops and small food vendors (my favorite part) if you're looking for a leisure day of shopping and souvenir buying this is it! I highly recommend wearing comfortable shoes as the mall has 4 levels I believe with food being on the 3rd floor. Remember where you parked as well!
Kiarylane C — Google review
Plaza Las Américas in San Juan is absolutely stunning and such a unique shopping experience. The mall is huge, bright, and beautifully designed — from the tall ceilings with skylights to the palm trees that give it a tropical yet modern feel. Everything is spotless, well-maintained, and welcoming. What makes it even better is the variety you can find here. There are so many stores, from international brands to local Puerto Rican shops, plus a wide selection of restaurants and cafés where you can relax in between shopping. You can easily spend hours walking around without ever feeling cramped, since the spaces are open and airy. The atmosphere feels both elegant and family-friendly. It’s more than just a mall — it’s really a destination where you can shop, dine, and enjoy a comfortable environment. Every time I visit Puerto Rico, Plaza Las Américas is a stop I never want to miss. It’s not just about shopping, it’s about enjoying the beauty and energy of one of the largest malls in the Caribbean.
Nestor C — Google review
The largest mall in the Caribbean. It is filled with local stores as well as large ones known in the US. Be ready to walk as it is large and beautiful. From Thursday to Sunday, you go to the third floor (by the escalators near the three Columbus ship flags) and enjoy local food. There you can enjoy eating pastries, drink some amazing shakes (local fruits) and by local treats, plants, vegetables, etc. Some kiosks only take cash. There’s also a near by store called “Hecho en PR” the sells everything local - coffee, breakfast stuff and liquor.
Marco P — Google review
The largest shopping mall in the Caribbean for a reason. There you can find a large selection of brands, and eateries for all tastes and budgets. They have plenty of free parking around the mall with several entrances and exits. Valet parking is also available at the Cheesecake Factory entrance. They also have a cinema and even a dealership with full auto service inside. Some of my guilty pleasures I can find here are the chocolate covered strawberries, strawberries with a delicious cream, and the candy apples filled with nostalgia. Those take me back to my childhood. The place is ‘Gustitos Y Mas’ @tusgustitosymas which is right across Charlotte Russe if you are wondering. Are you visiting Puerto Rico? Add this shopping mall to one of your stops.
Joel R — Google review
Beautifully designed mall. There is plenty of indoor parking. Lots of place on all floors to have a quick bite or dinner. There are plenty of stores to shop from or get a piercing or tattoo. The stores are so diverse. Also, there are lots of treats to eat chocolate, ice cream, cookies, and / or coffee shops. It's clean, and there are benches to relax while a friend or significant other shops.
Edwin A — Google review
Crazy big mall with SO many stores and food options. We came here for the Bad Bunny experience and stayed to shop and eat.
Maritza G — Google review
Sequimos Aqui exhibit is an amazing experience!! Bad Bunny's presentation and organizational skills are above all others.

Lote 23, located in Santurce, is a vibrant food park and community center that opened in late 2016. It offers a variety of dining options from kiosks and Airstream trailers, serving everything from hearty plates of pernil to light poke bowls and handmade popsicles. The park also hosts events like yoga sessions, film screenings, and artisan markets.
Amazing place with loads of great food and drink options. Fabulous cocktails, good craft beers and tasty food. The Lot I’d full of young, beautiful, trendy people. I had a poke bowl and my companion had ramen, both were delicious. Absolutely go here if you’re in the area

Really friendly service. Lots of food options, plenty of seating, good music, public bathroom, nice art, easy to get to. Love the atmosphere. Saw a roaming hen with two small chicks.

I loved the different choices of food options we could choose from. It was a nice easy walk from the art museum too. The food was delicious

The drinks at Tequila Cantina are delicious and the bartender is super sweet. We came here after trying to go to La Casita Blanca . It was a 2 hour wait there . Mofongo here was great but don’t do Bicteca . The pork was little too salty. If you are a New Yorker (Nuevayol in the house ) go for the drinks and maybe pizza , the locals love their pizza here .

Great options unique flavors and all the trucks were super chill no one was aggressive or fighting for your business the staff was super patient too

This food cart pod reminds me of home in Portland, Oregon. Lots of variety. Great food at La Sobrina and tasty beer from Salitre.

First time coming here, loved it. Awesome for the whole family LOTS OF VARIETY from drink like beer rum mojitos, Mexican food, pizza, soup, burger, ice cream. Definitely recommend it to everyone. Went to Postreo Jaus, PIRA.RUM (Watermelon Mojito), Deep Dish (cheese deep dish & meat lover tavern pizza) today. All were awesome

Very nice touristic place for a beer or a coctail. Even better at night. We ate a Carribean food from the green track . Very delicious but pricey. (16$ with tax). They say that PR is a bit cheaper than the US but the prices here are still expensive. Nice for a drink only.

The Mall of San Juan is a modern, well-lit indoor shopping center that boasts an array of upscale brands and dining options across two floors. Since its opening in 2015, it has become one of the most impressive luxury retail destinations on the island, featuring renowned names like Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Jimmy Choo, and more.
Great place to spend some time if you have a long layover in San Juan. They also offer free luggage storage at the welcome desk which was a great perk. We were able to drop 9ff multiple bags so we could shop and eat easily.

This was a very nice 2 story mall. There are a few restaurants here if you want to eat because there is no food court to my surprise. They also have a large pickles all inside the mall where you can play and compete. Large area in the middle of mall with Starbucks and charging station for phone and laptops.

This mall is not as good as others in Puerto Rico. All they have is high end stores and no food court. The mall is great and has a lot of shops, cool AC and even lots of fee speaking and plenty of restrooms.

Great upscale mall! Lots of luxury stores to choose from. They even have a Krispy Kreme Doughnuts in there! That alone should make you want to go there!!!

I was a little disappointed in this mall. It was kind of small for a mall. They didn't have enough stores, and they didn't even have a food court. Wow! The worst part about this mall was trying to figure out the parking. It's not easy to find the parking areas. There isn't any signage directing you where to go.
Chris C — Google review
Free parking, with plenty of Handicap spots available, around the Mall. Coffee shop, and donut store on ground floor. Restaurants on 2nd and 3rd floors. High end stores, located on 2nd floor. Children's huge play area, on ground floor.
Antonio M — Google review
Tiny. Designer stores & then a couple stores I didn’t recognize. Like 3 restaurants. It was a pretty place to visit for like 30 minutes. In response to the mall of San Juan’s comment back to me, you only have 3 restaurants and two coffee spots. you might have “100” spots open for stores but you definitely don’t have 100 stores operating, you might have half of that (doubtful). But regardless, anyone who visits your mall will see for themselves :) try being nicer to your guests! 3 stars wasn’t bad but now it’s 1 star because I really didn’t appreciate your response 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Santurce, Sur Barra Nikkei is a culinary gem that beautifully intertwines the rich flavors of Peruvian and Japanese cuisines. This innovative restaurant, led by Chef Rafael Ubior Serrati, offers an inviting atmosphere where each dish tells a story of cultural fusion. Diners can expect delightful surprises like zesty Peruvian sauces enhancing delicate sashimi or creative uses of wasabi in traditional Latin fare.
Wow! This place is amazing, the flavors are so nice and different. Edgardo was our server , took the time to explain the menu, 5 star for him. Cocktails are also really good . We will come back.

First off this place meets and exceeds all expectations. Edwin a master at his craft mixed a number of cocktails to perfection. Also was kind enough to suggest apps and entry which were all on point. Surely will return over and over.
Patrick P — Google review
One of the best meals and restaurant experiences of my life. Not only the food, but the service. Our server, Nisyha, was so knowledgeable and passionate about the dishes and our experience it made our dinner all the more enjoyable. Edwin is an incredible mixologist and I highly recommend Espiritu Libra. There is food and then there are dishes created with so much passion and love that the flavors transcend. El Mercado y su Pulpo was an explosion of flavors so perfectly balanced I will be thinking about it for days to come. Post Casa Moreyra was one of the best ceviches I’ve had. The wasabi leche de tigre was so smooth and creamy with just enough spice to enhance the dish. The matcha cheesecake with black sesame and sesame ice cream made me cry. Go hungry, try new dishes, expect to have the time of your life. Gracias por la mejor comida de mi vida!

We had a wonderful dining experience at Sur Barra Nikkei. The overall ambiance of restaurant, service of the staff, cocktails, outstanding food, were on point. Restrooms were very clean too. A hidden gem in Santurce. We’ll definitely be back.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Everything was amazing. Staff and service was excellent. We were a group of 4 and we had the tasting menu so we got to try a little of everything. Look at the picture I posted of the menu for the dishes. Every dish was unique and awesome. The drinks were different and in a good way. Loved everything about this place and our experience.

Exceptional dining experience with flavors rarely found in Puerto Rico. The menu is creative and full of surprises, complemented by outstanding cocktails. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable, offering helpful recommendations that made the meal even more enjoyable. Highly recommend.

Wow so delicious. I had Lomo Saltado “En Las Conchas Negras”, highly recommended. Naysha did a great job recommending food and drinks. So kind and friendly. She really knew very well the plates. Place was very food as well.

I dined solo at Sur Barraní Nikkei PR, and it was absolutely phenomenal. The food was outstanding — their ceviche is to die for. I sat at the bar and didn’t have a cocktail, but the bartender was incredibly nice and clearly a true craftsman. Watching him make things like vermouth-flavored marshmallows from scratch was so impressive! You can tell everything here is made with care and creativity. The staff were attentive and welcoming, and the whole experience felt special from start to finish. Highly recommend this place — it’s a gem for both food and craft cocktail lovers.

Seafood restaurant
Restaurant
Cayo Caribe is a popular eatery in Puerto Rico known for its creole and seafood dishes. The restaurant offers a variety of flavorful options such as mofongo with lobster, mahi mahi tacos, arroz mamposteao, and chuletas (pork chops), showcasing the best of home-cooked Puerto Rican cuisine. While some visitors appreciate the affordable prices and excellent service, others note that the atmosphere has a sports bar vibe.
This place caught my eye on Instagram and let me say the hype is real ! Friendly atmosphere and the customer service was exceptional to say the least. This gem has the best empanadas I’ve ever tasted hands down ! The beef empanada was dripping with delicious sauce omg it was so good ! I ordered the seafood stew with tostones and it did not disappoint :D So good and fresh was the seafood yummm ! Coming back here for sure my next visit to PR 10/10

After I landed in Puerto Rico it was pouring, so I didn’t had a chance for days to go outside to enjoy anything. I landed in the afternoon & by the time I reached my hotel I can’t wait to try some authentic food ! So from the hotel they recommended this restaurant. It wasn’t that far, most probably could have walked but it was pouring outside lol..! I was very excited to try the Mofongo everyone told me to try while being in Puerto Rico. Obviously meat isn’t halal so I have tried the shrimp one. I gotta say I didn’t like it at all, highly disappointed! It was kinda sad & made me scared for rest of my trip to try Mofongo different place. The thing is everyone will not like everything they will ever try, just because I didn’t like this dish doesn’t mean I will not like anything else. I did like the dessert called Tres Le Che, yum! The price is on the higher side, so it made me little skeptic about rest of my trip. But I was on my first solo trip & simply thing like this will not scared me off ___ Customer service is great, place is big enough, decor is nice. Restroom was good. I stayed here for a while just to see if the rain stops so I can go somewhere near by to enjoy! They volunteered to take some pictures lol, and you know me it made me extra happy lol
Ratna P — Google review
This place was just okay. We ordered pina colada’s and they weren’t good at all. Portions were big but still didn’t seem worth the prices. Monfongo was descent. Highlights of the meal were the ceviche tacos and fish bites This place left a lot to be desired especially based on its popularity and recommendations.
Winnie L — Google review
The service was great, our sever was so attentive. The food was OK but definitely not going back. The portions are good but for the price that u got u need a good kitchen.
Mary R — Google review
OMG! Food at this place is absolutely delicious! Steaks, chicken, fish, tropical dishes, and drinks. I had an amazing time with my family and friends. The service staff made it feel even better, with their promptness and kindness.
Stuart P — Google review
Fish was fresh, but fried at low temperature which makes it to absorb lots of oil, in addition they put too much salt. Plantains were cold, chewy and dark brown which means they weren't fresh. Fish was ordered with rice and beans because all orders come with salad, and it was delivered with 2 salads. When I questioned the server he stated he did the same comment at the kitchen but they told them to take it as served.
Eric D — Google review
Do not recommend the shrimp tacos. They were fried extra hard. Snapper was great. Waiters were quick and efficient handling a large group.
Deona P — Google review
Food was great. I was able to pick my own fresh snapper that was delicious! The picture does not do its justice. My family also enjoyed the food and the services was also great, very friendly staff. We will definitely be visiting again when in PR.

The dining experience at Verace Pizzeria Napoletana was superb, with an assortment of delectable dishes. The veggie croquettes were delightful, and the pasta with eggplant was exceptionally tasty. The large marg pizza left a lasting impression due to its generous size. Moreover, the homemade flan was simply divine. The portions were ample and reasonably priced, making it a fantastic value for money.
Nice restaurant in a hotel. The lobster ban in special menu is delicious. The seafood risotto is amazing. We wanted to try the tiramisu but they ran out of it. We had the lava cake instead and it’s great.
Sherry H — Google review
Steak was chewy, and pasta was very bland and overcooked. Tuna tartar was flavorless. My sister's main dish pasta was smaller than my side pasta. The waiter never checked on us and was on his phone the whole time. The chairs/booths were dirty and food on the floor. No wonder there were 0 people eating there. The $100 meal was not worth it.
Asher R — Google review
This restaurant updated their menu today and was completely different from their original offerings. We tried pasta and NY steak today. The chicken in the pasta is tender but really blend, I personally do not think it goes well with the pasta. The veggies in the pasta are charged for 7 dollars but they only come in TINY pieces - does not worth it. The NY steak is thin but well-executed. Note they charge 2.5 dollars per person for water which is crazy🤯. We like the previous menu WAYYY BETTER.

It’s not terrible, but it’s about mid way as far as the white chicken pizza I got. Can’t burn the beer…would recommend for a close by pizza joint

Christian at the bar was amazing. Great customer service. Great suggestions of food and wine. The Mediterranean salad was fabulous! The codfish croquettes delicious! The codfish and fries was the best ever! The mushroom risotto was pleasant and filling. Great job! To the cooks, the interior decorator and the Five Star Christian!

The food is amazing! Both pizzas we got - the Verace Bianca and the Ortolana - were simply delicious. I loved the crisp, woodfired texture, and the plentiful drizzles of olive oil. However, Verace is certainly designed for a slow dinner. It took a full 30 minutes for each pizza to arrive, so keep that in mind!

Wow, what a great experience. Delicious food, great atmosphere, and wonderful service. This is one of the best restaurants we have visited so far. My favorite is buratta caprese salad. We have been there a couple of times, and every time, we try something new, and everything has been so good and fresh.

- have to pay for water - Paid parking outside $3.50 / hr - Entire leaf of lettuce served in the Cesar salad. Nice plating. The tomato paste is a bit sweet. However, at the 9 dollar price points it’s definitely over priced. 3.5/5 stars - Higher priced pizza is a 12 slice square pizza that is about 12”x24” - Inferno Pizza - Pizza is very soft. Definitely need two hands to eat. It gets a nice toasty crust on the edges from the wood fire oven. All things considered the pizza was tasty but nothing worth going out of your way to pay for parking and come eat pizza unless of your staying in the hotel. Giving the size and quality of the pizza the price point of $29 seems fair. 4/5 stars for the pizza. - As a table of two we only eat half of the large pizza - Wait staff started cleaning up and closing shop at 9:30pm - We didnt order a drink, but we did notice that the bartender was very passionate about shaken drinks and. the way He shook it was entertaining.

With over 100 locations worldwide, it stands as the largest fine-dining steakhouse group globally. Diners can expect not only exceptional quality beef but also a delightful array of sides that enhance the overall dining experience.
I had a fantastic bday dinner at Ruth’s Chris! The service was excellent, and every dish we tried was delicious. My garlic crusted sea bass was out of this world, and I highly recommend starting with the crab cakes as an appetizer—they’re a must! They also have a great selection of wines and drinks. Before dinner, we stopped at the bar for their happy hour specials on selected drinks and enjoyed a cosmopolitan and margarita, both of which were great. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience!

Amazing! I'm not even a huge steak person and the petite filet here was so good. We also loved the bread super fresh. I got a pomegranate martini that was delicious. We got the mashed potatoes and broccoli as our sides to share. Everything was very fresh, tasty, and the servers were really well trained, attentive, friendly, and helpful. We had a great time here and the food was so good.

The steaks were some of the best I’ve had in my life… But for $462 including tip and tax for a family of five, I expect a world-class experience. We each had a single drink and only ordered two appetizers. Also, I found a hair on my plate of crab cakes that looked like a pubic hair. You can’t make that up. I handed the hair to a staff member discreetly so as not to ruin the meal for my family. The outdoor landscaping is beautiful. The waiters were very attentive. Ate here 8/7/2024.

Went for happy hour and what a pleasurable experience I had. Drinks and bites were ready within minutes. I had the burger with fries and is a hefty portion of meat well seasoned and cook on right temperature. The fries did not impress me but they were a 3.5 out of 5 for the fries. What made it great was Hector, the bartender/server. He was very attentive and was checking on you without being overwhelming. He gave suggestions and choices for drinks. My first time but it won’t be my last. See you soon Hector.

The food and service was exceptional! This was my first time visiting this establishment although I live close to several in the surrounding cities close to my home. Julio was very professional and offered great choices. I would come back as this was one of my favorite places to eat being in San Juan!

The restaurant was clean and opened on time at exactly 5pm. They followed all covid protocols, allowing only 5 people in at a time in order to temperature check and hand sanitize. The waiter was friendly and attentive, gave us the specials, took our drink orders, and answered all questions. The drinks were made well, the food order was taken and repeated to us to ensure no errors were made. The food came out hot, on time, and at proper internal temperatures for consumption. Everything was delicious! I recommend the lamb chops with a side of greens as they can be filling. The sides are large so depending on your group size one to two orders is enough for the entire table. Dessert was offered but not forced and it too was fabulous. I recommend the creme Brule, again it's large enough for two people. The restroom was clean and tidy. The staff wore masks and kept everything clean. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was due to a leak in the ceiling that was dripping down on my guest during dinner that was brought to the attention of the staff but never really handled throughout the night. It was mentioned to the manager on the way out and he was apologetic which was appreciated. Overall the experience was great and we all had a wonderful time. I recommend for a romantic night out or celebrating a birthday party or anniversary.

Waiter Josue performed his job beyond expectations. Food was presented well and food tasted exceptionally delicious. If you visit Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 I highly recommend you make reservations to dine here.

I recently visited this Ruth’s Chris location, and while the food was great as usual, my experience was overshadowed by an issue with my bill. The service was just okay, but what really shocked me was that my server added an unauthorized extra tip to my card. My original bill was $264.10, which already included a 20% service charge. I informed the server that I would be paying with Apple Pay, and he mentioned that the tip was included. I acknowledged this, as I had already noticed the service charge. However, when I tapped my card, I saw the total was $314.01—something I found odd, but I didn’t question it, assuming it was correct. When I reviewed the receipt back at my hotel, I realized that an additional tip of $49.91 had been added, raising my total from $264.10 to $314.01. My significant other called to address the issue, and Felix, who answered, recognized the mistake and refunded me $53.40. This situation made my experience very poor, as the unauthorized charge felt deceptive. Be cautious and check your receipts carefully if you decide to visit this location.

Day 2

Northeast side of town
For day 2, we recommend exploring the northeast side side of town. Start the day off with Luis Munoz Marin International Airport, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Hacienda Campo Rico. All together, your day would be filled with about 7 hours of non-stop fun.

International airport
Airport
Luis Muñoz Marin International Airport in San Juan is conveniently located near the Pan American Pier, making it a popular choice for cruise passengers. The airport is small and easily navigable, with everything within walking distance. Travelers flying to the United States should allow time for their bags to go through USDA checks at the airport. During COVID times, travelers need to fill out an online form before exiting the airport or spend time filling it out there.
It is one of the cleanest smallest most friendliest airports that you will ever go to! Clean bathrooms. Small stores. Tons of delicious foods duty-free giggity say less love this place. Love Puerto Rico my home away from home!
Wanda L — Google review
Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport is a solid and convenient gateway to Puerto Rico. The terminals are fairly easy to navigate, with clear signage in both Spanish and English. Security lines moved quickly during my visit, and the staff were professional and welcoming. There’s a good variety of dining and shopping options after security, offering everything from local Puerto Rican flavors to familiar brands. One downside: there aren’t any water bottle refilling stations, so plan ahead if you usually travel with a reusable bottle. Also, a heads up for travelers — you cannot bring pork products back to the mainland United States from Puerto Rico, and the airport has agricultural inspections to enforce this. The airport is generally clean and modern, though some areas could use a little refreshing. Transportation into San Juan is simple, with taxis and rideshares easy to find. Overall, it’s a positive experience and a smooth way to start or end your Puerto Rican adventure!

Arriving at Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport was a good experience. The airport was clean, organized, and easy to get around. Signs for baggage claim and transportation were clear. My luggage came out quickly, and the whole process was smooth from landing to exit. A nice first impression of Puerto Rico!!

A very beautiful, not-too-huge airport; you can't get lost. Everything is self-explanatory; you can easily navigate from Terminal A to Terminal C. Car rentals are right across the street, making everything simple and easy to maneuver.
DraMatik G — Google review
They need to fix a lot of things! Starting with the fact that they don't have many places to charge electronics (which should be the case at the entire airport!) The few light switches there are, mostly only like 1 or 2 work and aren't properly covered! TSA PRE CHECK AND CLEAR ARE IN THE SAME LINE AS THE REGULAR LINES! It shouldn't be like this, that's what we pay so much for! The staff is a bit rude, the waiting seats are very uncomfortable! Hard! Lots of work to do, PR.
Robii M — Google review
Easy airport love the vendors they have and the new decoration with all the singers artists looks great 😊
Chico W — Google review
Nice airport with nice staff! The restroom I used was pretty clean. I wish there were more restrooms and more restaurants. No real complaints. The place was clean and simple to figure out especially considering Atlanta is our home airport. The signs leading into the airport for rental return was a little confusing but we figured it out. Make sure you do your USDA inspection before getting in the TSA line or checking bags. Also they do not allow you to check bags more than about 2hrs before your flight (at least our airline didn’t). The airport is busy but small and there aren’t many waiting or sitting areas. I’m not sure if you can go through TSA more than 2hrs before your departure if you don’t have a checked bag but just things to know before hand.

Vivo Beach Club is a vibrant oceanfront destination that offers an outdoor beach club, unique dining and drinking spots, shopping, live music venues, and a full-scale brewery. It's the perfect place for a luxurious day by the pool with beachfront views. The club provides day passes and membership packages along with concerts and delectable culinary experiences. Visitors can enjoy brunch items like omelets, fresh fruit, pastries, sandwiches, and more.
As a destination wedding photographer in Puerto Rico, I had never experienced Vivo Beach Club as a wedding vendor, only as a civilian. Recently I covered the documentation of the wedding decorator and was absolutely blown away by the amenities and facilities. It was absolutely stunning everywhere you looked and would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking to get married in Puerto Rico.

Attended part of the bad bunny vip event and it was nice. They have a small photo backdrop. They sell food and drinks on site. The beach is stunning there. The pool could’ve been cleaner and DJ could’ve been better.

Saw this place online through their website. Cost for a day pass was noted as $40 per person. We planned a visit on our cruise stop. Went to check in after the taxi dropped us off. Was informed the cost was $80 per person. Host apologized and said website was old. Talked to a “manager” and he said there was nothing he could do. His explanation for the website said it was old and was offline (which it is now - probably because of people coming here thinking it was $40). He kept blaming Google AI and was stood fast on nothing he could do even though we were only going to be here for 3 hours (needed to get back to boat). So best call and don’t believe the website.

Excellent place to enjoy the afternoon and evening. Food, drinks and music will keep you coming back. A Raw bar, located on the first floor is a must visit. Many new bilingual employees have been hired. Returned in August. It has totally been upgraded. The second floor can rented out for Weddings and private events. Went two days, 1st day Monique, was my server. She is bilingual and went above and beyond to help me out! A true professional!. Amanda made awesome drinks! Second day, Joan was my server and bartender. She is bilingual and nice a job with the drinks

Children's museum
Museums
Museo del Niño de Carolina is the only children's museum in Puerto Rico, offering over 100 interactive exhibits covering various subjects from music and art to transportation and physics. The outdoor area features a go-kart track, a donated plane, a mini zoo, and a small ferry for jungle cruises. There are dedicated sections for toddlers as well as older children with activities like talking on shortwave radio and exploring environmental and health exhibits.
Excellent experience and very enjoyable day. Please call before going as they do have a limited schedule and close for holidays specific to Puerto Rico.
Clinton J — Google review
Very reasonably priced and the kids get a cool bus ride from the parking lot to the museum. Lots of fun learning activities for kids of all ages. New options like boat rides for kids over 3 and a safari train. Mini zoo was full of lots of friendly animals. This was our second time going and both of our kids (4yr & 1.6 yr) both loved it. Definitely recommend bringing your kids and refreshments because it does get hot outside.
Mireya — Google review
This is a hands on museum with great interactive play. The kids spent hours running around experiencing the exhibits which were everything from music, science, tech and construction. There was a mini zoo and go carts, you have to ride the go carts!! We had a wonderful time!! I would suggest arriving early in order to get a great experience. We bought tickets to the mini zoo but did not get to go due to time restraints. Parking is about 1 block away but they do have a shuttle. The entrance fee and add-ons are very reasonable. They even provide pricing for special neede kids. My daughter has autism and ADHD this is the BEST place for her. She can touch, she can talk loud, she very much enjoyed herself here!!
Alana ( — Google review
Great place to spend time with the family. The exhibits are self explanatory no Spanish needed. Price is fair. The parking lot is located diagonally across the street and costs $3 (no shade). The go karts were a hit! They ask that you wear glasses and if you don’t have any you can purchase ones for $1. We didn’t get to go through the zoo or playground it was painfully hot out. Unfortunately, The jungle trip was closed. They’re only open Friday through Sunday. We went on a Friday at 11a there were a few school groups some locals and some tourists. Not too busy.
Romina P — Google review
The Museo del Niño de Carolina offers a nice, pleasant experience for families, especially for younger kids looking to explore and roam around. While some of the indoor attractions might feel a little outdated compared to larger museums on mainland US, they genuinely try their best to make it engaging for children. The food options for sale are pretty marginal, but still okay. The gift shop is a bit sad, but if you're set on a souvenir, you might find something. The outdoor area is where the museum truly shines! We noticed a "5D" theater, but it was locked during our visit, so we couldn't experience what it offered. Moving past that, there's a really fun playground area that's great for kids of all ages. Just be aware that it's not shaded at all, so expect it to be scorching hot with nowhere to sit. Given how hot these areas can get, it's very important to arrive prepared with plenty of water and keep a close eye on your kids for any signs of heat exhaustion. The mini zoo area was a delightful surprise! You can even pay to feed the animals, which were all very calm and gentle. There's also a large airplane to explore, but the heat outside kept us from checking it out. Overall, it was a nice museum to take the kids to, offering plenty of little areas for them to explore. We'd definitely go again!
Jeff — Google review
This was the best time the kids had here. They have go karts, mini zoo and tons of hands on activities. One of my girls has autism and ADHD, this was the perfect setting for her. I would suggest getting there early to allow time for the kids to experience it all.
Alana S — Google review
We needed to take a day break from the beach and took the kids here. The place is cool but simple, unlike other kids museums I've seen. They have other areas outside that cost extra, like why charge $2 more to go inside an out of commission airplane for a "tour" that is like 10mins long and there's nothing to it, they show you a couple things on the outside, you go in the back and out the front and that's it. And when it's closing time, they have staff going around kicking everyone out, lol. All in all, it's a cool place to keep the kids busy for a day.
Cesar V — Google review
The museum brings back fond childhood memories as it’s a staple excursion spot for many schools. However, many of the “interactive” attractions were broken or missing pieces, therefore not being fully enjoyable. They won’t return your money if it rains and you’re yet to use the track racing tickets. Their plane walk-through is scheduled bi-hourly (every half an hour) at the front of the museum. Some museum clerks were unaware of some exhibition data when asked; nonetheless, it was still enjoyed by my nephew. (Beware of the prices, which are quite high and there’re hidden fees as well!)

Good place to go for horseback riding. Short lesson on how to guide your horse. Your guide is willing to take your picture during the ride from your own phone. The restaurant is good to eat at. Bottles of water is $2 each. It will be hot on your ride.

We did the ATV tour. It was so much fun, and just long enough! If you want to save a little money, be sure you have a face cover. They do sell them in the waiting area. Our tour guide (I cannot remember her name) gave lots of information and guided everyone safely while giving us the best time. I suggest long pants and, possibly, long sleeves. You may be scratched by some branches. Also, use sunscreen and bug spray! During the break, we ate empanadas and some kind of pork skewers. The bathrooms are surprisingly clean!

John was absolutely amazing. Caring and took his time with us. He took our photos and joked around making the day much better. I appreciate you John. I wish the company with make different booking for beginners because people like me that know how to ride was not scared. People that never rode before was scared to drive which in turn made us go slow and stop soooo many times which becomes aggravating for people who actually want to ride and enjoy the tour.

Ocean Lab Brewing Co is situated within the VIVO Beach Club on Isla Verde Beach in San Juan, Puerto Rico. It offers a stunning setting with picturesque views of the white sand beach and the Atlantic Ocean. The brewery is known for its premium craft beers made with local ingredients such as passion fruit, grapefruit, and blood orange. Additionally, it features a full menu with highly recommended dishes like chicken and longaniza sausage sliders and fried whole snapper fish.
The beer in this place is TOP NOTCH!! The ambiance is perfect. The music they played while I was there was very relaxing. I love reggae and the tunes they played were so awesome. Yaya the bartender was very attentive and polite and always was coming around asking how I was doing and If I needed anything. I left almost at closing time and the manager took time to ask me how was the service and how I liked my evening. A++++++ . If you want good beer, in an awesome setting… come to Ocean Lab Brewing❗️

Great spot to hit up in PR! This burger was absolutely delicious! Do not miss a chance to try their beer. It is fantastic and full of flavor. Can’t go wrong with a good meal, a craft brew, and an ocean view like that.
Alex R — Google review
Ocean Lab is a staple brewery in Puerto Rico. They have a few locations but the beach front spot is their primary and epic location. I have been to hundreds of breweries, none with a location like this. It is part beach club and part brewery/restaurant. They have 20 of their beers on tap including: 2 wheats, NEIPA, a blueberry, an orange, 2 pale ale, red ale, pilsner, lager , 2 stouts, mexican lager, sour, 2 blondes, helles, passion fruit, IPA, and a Imperial IPA. Heir beer is very good. This Ocean location is insane. Gorgeous views, DJ, swim up bar, etc. They have a full bar and restaurant if needed. Public is free to the upstairs bar. The service upstairs was great, they are clearly battle tested. I will definitely stop here again.

Cozy place. Clean. Food in the restaurant is good but the draft beer is flat. I have tried 2 beers, both flat - no gas. Flat pilsner , hmm. Sorry guys but flat pilsner isn’t a beer Haven’t tried bottles, but already lost confidence. Service is pretty good. Polite staff

Delicious steakhouse with great service, strong drinks and a wonderful atmosphere.
Had an amazing dinner at Meat Market in San Juan. We started with the short rib soup, which was rich and flavorful—comfort food taken to another level. The waygu sliders were juicy and delicious, a great appetizer to share. The star of the night was the tomahawk steak—cooked to perfection, tender, and packed with flavor. Great ambiance and attentive service throughout the night. Highly recommend

What an amazing and memorable experience me and my wife had celebrating my wife's birthday and our wedding anniversary. I called an hour after they opened and spoke to an awesome hostess, I believe her name is Cina, if I didn't get her name correct please forgive me. She was able to reserve us a table by the next hour and we were seated in a private area that was perfect for our moment. The ambiance is amazing there. Edgar was the first one to come to our table and was such a gentleman with great service. Then we met Nashi, she was so on point with her menu presentation, and had great energy. We also had the pleasure to meet the Manager Steven who was awesome as well and went the extra mile to make sure we had a great experience as well. All our food was delicious, and now this is definitely one of our go to spots whenever we visit San Juan P.R., or where ever we can find a location. What an amazing staff, every team member we encountered has excellent customer service. Steven thanks again for contacting me and making sure everything went well ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Disappointing Experience Completely Messed Up Our Steaks We came in excited for a nice dinner, but unfortunately had a pretty frustrating experience. All three of our steaks were cooked completely wrong. I ordered medium well and got something much less definitely undercooked. My friend asked for medium rare, and hers came out even more raw than mine. Her husband also asked for medium rare, but his steak came out well done. The server saw our plates and could tell something was off. I decided to just deal with mine, and so did my friend. But her husband, whose steak was clearly the most overcooked, asked for a new one. When they brought the second one out, it was ice cold and basically rare. I’ve attached a photo so you can judge for yourself. It super disappointing. What made it worse was that even though our server was very kind and helpful, the kitchen staff and manager clearly saw the steaks and acted like nothing was wrong. They just came over asking, “Everything’s good now, right?” even while looking at a clearly raw steak. Her husband didn’t bother to argue and just accepted it, but honestly, if I were the manager and saw that, I’d be embarrassed. The least they could’ve done was apologize and admit, “Yeah, that’s definitely not the right temperature.” But nope not a word. Just tried to move on like everything was fine. The only good part of the evening was our server. But overall, the experience was just bad especially at a place that should know how to cook a steak to the right temperature. Sadly, we won’t be coming back

Mediocre service for the “Quality of restaurant “ that is supposed to be . It is a loud atmosphere to be considered High end dining. Drinks took about 10-15mins to arrive at the table. Food was order around 8: 07 pm or so. Food took arrive to our table at 9:02 pm . We asked our server if he could check on our food , but he seemed to be bothered when we asked him. For food we order crab cakes and a classic cesar to star. Crab cakes were okay a bit dry and greasy. Salad was blend . Croutons were saggy , lettuce was bitter and dressing was blend no taste. For main course we order a chicken bbq, salmon , a 75$ steak , mashed potatoes and lobster Mac and cheese. Steak worst of all. It was supposed to be 16 oz (they charge by the oz) but it was mostly Fat. Rip off. On top it was cold! The mashed potatoes had no flavor and Mac and cheese was salty. Chicken and salmon were actually good. When food arrive all plates were hot , but food was just warm. We mentioned our concerns to a person that check in with us at the table (assuming it was the manager). He offered to change the steak, but we did not wanted to wait another hour for our food. As a previous experienced server in a high end restaurant, I would of remove at least the salad and or apps to compensate for the wait time. I did not wanted to complain so we try to let it go. To “compensate “They brought Prosecco to our table that nobody drank because it was not good either and 1 person was not drinking alcohol. We were a party of four and no where in the menu it mentioned about gratuity being included. However at the end the server included himself a 20% gratuity. On the original bill gratuity was not included. I was still going to leave 20% of gratuity , (which I did) thinking that there was no gratuity included. It was until my friend decline gratuity on the card because she was going to leave cash that he mentioned that he had already included himself gratuity with out our consent. Overall it was a horrible experience for what the bill was. I don’t mind the price , but when you get such a horrible experience it feels like a rip off

The barbecue restaurant Bebo's BBQ is located right by the airport, making it convenient for hungry travellers. The food was all delicious, with rice, fries, pork, chicken and fried plantains all being favourites. There was only one thing that wasn't to everyone's taste - the salsa could have been a bit spicier. Nevertheless, the operation was efficient and the food arrived fast.
Took a quick girls trip to PR and Bebo’s was our first stop!! The food was sooooo good!! 10/10!! The line was long and I see why because it was absolutely worth the wait! The chicken was so juicy and flavorful! Ugh I wish I could have it right now! And my Passionfruit juices were so good and freshly made!

The food was very good. The rice was a little hard, but everything else was so good. The lady we had who served us, had such an attitude. The ribs fell off the bone. I would definitely recommend ordering food there.

Bebo’s BBQ is hands down one of the best spots to eat in Puerto Rico, and it has become our very first stop every time we arrive. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and served in generous portions. The BBQ meats are perfectly cooked, smoky, and juicy, and the sides taste just like home-cooked comfort food. What I love most about this place is the atmosphere—it’s casual, laid-back, and you really feel the local vibe as soon as you walk in. The staff is quick and friendly, even when it gets busy, and the service never disappoints. Whether you’re just landing at the airport or heading out, Bebo’s is the perfect place to kick off your trip with authentic Puerto Rican flavors. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the island—this is a must!

Landed in PR for a layover and headed right to BEBO’s .The chicken was absolutely delicious — tender, juicy, and so flavorful that the meat practically fell off the bone. The yuca was perfectly cooked and seasoned with just the right amount of onions, giving it a rich, savory taste. The rice was soft, fluffy, and perfectly balanced the meal. Every bite came together beautifully — comforting, hearty, and full of flavor . Always check it before we leave .🇵🇷🇵🇷

Although the like is usually long it is for good reason! Food is amazing and insanely well priced compared to most places on the island but it doesn’t affect the food quality! Very close to the airport and would recommend it to everyone that comes to San Juan or Carolina! The half chicken and fried rice was amazing but make sure to try everything on the menu, the tostones were also some of the best I’ve had!

Shopping
Plaza Carolina is a spacious two-story indoor mall located about 15 minutes east of San Juan. It features a mix of local shops and well-known chain stores like Clarks, Forever 21, and T.J. The mall boasts a beautiful atrium with a large fountain, creating a pleasant atmosphere for shoppers. Visitors appreciate the variety of stores catering to different budgets and the overall cleanliness and organization.
Carolina, PR Easy to get to off the main highway. We went because we were looking for Pandora and the GPS said that that’s where it was inside the mall. They have a food court upstairs and a cinema, and I noticed a JCPenney. I’m sure they have many other stores, but it was almost closing time and we specifically went there for Pandora.

Great outlet mall. Has a large selection of premium outlet stores. Lots of walking but you’ll enjoy many of the stores.
Denise D — Google review
I like the geeky store selection in this mall . Specially store number 3 & Green Vape
Alexis N — Google review
It's a pretty large outlet mall. With plenty of variety stores. From geek and pop culture collectibles. To big box retailers. There's something for everyone here. Tho I have to say, they need to beef up security a bit. As a group of teens left an actual stink bomb on the fountain. Causing the whole central and food court area, to be extremely nauseating smelly. Luckily the staff took care of it quickly. But they really need to put a stricter policy on young people under 18. Also they need to expand the foodcourt. As when my family of 4 tried to eat, during lunch hour. Most of the chairs were taken. And when we finally got to sit down. There was another family circling our table. Harrasing us to leave. When we haven't even spent 5 minutes eating. It was not a pleasant eating experience. Those 2 bad occurrences aside. We did have an incredibly good time. Checking out every store. We found things, we didn't think we would find. And it was awesome. To list out some places to visit: Store no.3, which is a crane game arcade. Great place for kids and adults. Really recommend this place. Otaku Shop, one the big collectibles chain stores in puerto rico. Sonisu, a Sanrio/hello kitty retail store. Curiosities, A mix of collectibles from japan and china. It sells a ton of chinese brand lego sets. Like pantasy blocks and LOZ. And they are all sold at retail. Aliss, it's a general department store. But it also has a lot of hasbro and other collectibles There's also a box lunch, hot topic, tj max, burlington and much much more. Also I really recommend you stop by the coffee bar, right next to the tj max as you enter the mall. It's really incredible!

It's been awhile since I have been in plaza Catalina so to see the changes and the improvements of the mall was a pleasant surprise. Even the food court was far more suitable to eat at. Even with the covid-19 conditions in place, we were still able to sit down and eat a nice meal and shop at the stores we needed to shop at.

Beach
El Alambique Beach, located in the Isla Verde area near San Juan, is a popular destination for sunbathing and swimming. The beach offers soft golden sands and inviting turquoise waters, with nearby palm trees providing ample shade for visitors. It is known for its vibrant atmosphere, attracting both locals and tourists.
We made a quick run to the beach before our flight home to Boston. This was a great location for a quick swim, only 7 minutes from the airport. Parking is tricky, as it’s only side street options. Be patient and you’ll find a spot. Avoid yellow and red painted curbing as that is no parking zones. There are umbrellas and chairs available to rent if you plan to stay longer. The undertow is very strong here, and there are nets in place to prevent people from being pulled out to sea! The beach is very popular, so be prepared for congestion. Great first or last stop when staying in Puerto Rico. Beach nap rating: 3 out of 10.

Fell in love with the clear water and the sand was so soft! Only down side is that it doesn’t have changing area. But other than that we loved it here so much.

Beautiful and very clean beach. Very quiet. Better taking an Uber as parking is hard to find. It caters to the hotels and rentals. Jetski rentals, beach chair and umbrella rentals available. local vendors will sell refreshments and deliver food. Food truck is available towards the east end of the beach.
Angel G — Google review
I love coming here for a beach day. However, there is no parking close to the beach. Good luck trying to find street parking. The closest public parking to this place is behind Walgreens, and it will be at least a 10-minute walk. Beach umbrellas ($10 each) and chairs ($4 each) are for rent until 6 p.m.

Real nice rooftop restaurant and bar. Bartender loves his craft... ask about the drink with the smoked pineapple! Plates are small but they satisfied my hunger... I had a salad and added salmon... awesome Salmon, almost the best I ever had!

It's a prime spot for water sports enthusiasts, offering activities like jet skiing, parasailing, and surfing. So beautiful and peaceful here! Sandy beaches with turquoise water that's super warm. Great place to go tanning or swimming. Lots of local vendors and hotels oh the beach that are convenient.

One of the best and cleanest beaches in Puerto Rico! The water is crystal clear, the sand is soft, and the beach is always well-maintained. Perfect for swimming, walking along the shore, or just relaxing under the sun. It’s also close to restaurants, hotels, and shops, making it very convenient. A must-visit if you’re in the San Juan/Carolina area! 🌊☀️🌴
Nestor C — Google review
In the winter the beach was not crowded despite being encircled with resorts. The water was a beautiful turquoise color. There were chairs and umbrella rentals available. We got coconut milk, a pineapple drink, and grilled chicken from a food stand there on the beach. A lovely place even with rain clouds passing by.

Isla Verde Beach offers a pleasant experience with small waves and an impressively long shoreline, perfect for relaxing walks. Free bathrooms and showers add convenience, while paid parking and gazebos are available for those seeking extra comfort. Lifeguards are on duty, providing an added sense of safety. The beach tends to be calmer near the water park area, making it ideal for families or those seeking tranquility. One unique feature is its proximity to the airport, where you can enjoy the sight of planes taking off—a fun touch to the atmosphere
Alex R — Google review
Nice walk down the whole of Isle Verse beach! Rested under a palm, check for ripe coconuts! Local bar called Lifeguards is good for a quick bite or bathroom break.

Is the little hard to find a parking but after that you're in Paradise
Zeus K — Google review
Relaxing, clean, beautiful beach. Restaurants and bars all a short stroll away. Coconut drinks and snacks sold in the sand. Waverunners for rent. And lounges. A guy wraps a rope around the palm trees then shimmies his way to the top, dropping coconuts to the sand below. Then he lips off the top with his machete, inserts a straw, and sells them for $5 apiece. We spend hours here.

It was terrible. Everyone was rude. Our food was bad. They threw out our receipt, even though we wanted them they got are orders wrong. We tried ordering, took forever.

Be advised they do not follow the hours posted, and open in the morning at random times. The service us slow, the staff are unfriendly, and orders frequently have items missing. In my opinion this location is the is the worst fast food restaurant I have ever been to.
Taylor P — Google review
The food tastes ok but they have lower the portions of their burgers fillings (e.g. tomatoes, etc) A little disappointing. You can see the pic. A month ago in Arecibo's Wendy's the tomato was cut so thin, kind of a prosciutto ham thin. Ridiculous.
Carlos N — Google review
Wrong food, inexperienced cashier and the food is cold. Store dirty, worse Wendy's in the island
Jeffrey B — Google review
Incredibly awful service. While we were there, they took much longer than you’d expect from a fast food place. The three individuals in front of us all had their orders incorrect. Ours as well. And these were very simple two-three item orders. The stations were completely out of napkins and utensils as well.
Chris R — Google review
Very slow service. You have to be aware of what they serve you because they do not put the corresponding portions. There is not much empathy with the customer. Parking is impossible.

8 PM and they have only two tables not blocked off that people are allowed to sit at. Too bad there’s three different groups of customers. And no nothing was wrong with the rest of the lobby just blocked off and told I couldn’t sit there.

Pizza restaurant
Isla Verde, Puerto Rico is home to Pizza City, a 24/7 restaurant with a rich history. Visitors can enjoy a variety of well-known dishes and drinks, including the famous mofongo and delicious pizza. The restaurant offers great food at reasonable prices and excellent service from friendly waitstaff. Customers have praised the tasty Skirt Steak Mofongo and flavorful pizza options. With its inviting atmosphere and enjoyable music, Pizza City provides a delightful dining experience for families and travelers alike.
It was AMAZING 💯🇵🇷❣️🙏🏽made us feel at home. Food OUTSTANDING👏🏾true island flavor. Unbelievable PIZZA 🍕 we have NOT had better😎. God’s grace we will return.Ate all three meals on one day or another😎 at Pizza City!
Martha D — Google review
Dining at Pizza City was a frustrating experience from start to finish. The language barrier made it hard to communicate clearly with the staff, which led to some confusion when ordering. While I understand that language differences can happen, it would have helped if there were more effort to bridge that gap to improve the overall experience. The food was really greasy, which made it feel heavy and unappetizing. The steak was especially disappointing—it wasn’t a proper cut of meat but rather pressed-down beef, almost like a minced meat patty. It lacked the texture and flavor you’d expect from a steak. The excess grease only made the dish feel more uncomfortable and less enjoyable. To top it off, after finishing my meal, it took forever for anyone to come over to take my payment. Waiting around to pay when the restaurant wasn’t busy felt unnecessary and frustrating. Final Thoughts: The combination of greasy food, poor food quality, language challenges, and slow service makes it hard to recommend Pizza City. Unless they address these issues, it's a place I wouldn't return to anytime soon.
Nicholas P — Google review
This was definitely the island dive bar experience I've been taking about. Up until this point I want sure I was going to find one. It's open air on the corner. 100% for the birds ha ha. The drinks were cold. The pizza was okay. The bathrooms were crazy enough that they are definitely going to be told in stories for the rest of my life. Keep the expectations low and the chill vibes high.

Sirena Oceanfront Restaurant, located at Isla Verde Beach Resort, offers a full-service dinner menu from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm. The restaurant provides a serene dining experience with its open-air setting and air-conditioned indoor area right on the sands of Isla Verde beach. Visitors rave about the breathtaking ocean views during sunset and the attentive service provided by the staff.
This place was absolutely a gem. Parking in the garage wasn’t bad at all. Once you enter there is a casino to your right, enjoyed a few games. There is a bar in the center. Once you get to the restaurant outside it’s lovely. I came after lunch around 3p there was no wait and plenty of seating. My waiter was awesome he said I could walk the beach look around and wait for my food to arrive. He was very helpful with every question I asked of him.Afterwards I relaxed on the beach and left just before it got dark.
Takierra E — Google review
Our experience at this family-friendly restaurant was mixed, and the beautiful view was a definite highlight. The service, however, was quite slow and the servers we encountered had an unkind attitude, as we were served after tables seated after us. Despite this, I still left a 19% tip because I care for hospitality workers. On the positive side, the menu offered good seafood and international options. Our Cava wasn't initially at the right temperature, though they did rectify this with proper wine service and provided ice and water. The Paella for two was just okay; the rice was a bit overcooked and unfortunately lacked socarrat. The kids' chicken and fries were satisfactory.
Martha W — Google review
Gorgeous view. Unappealing menu. Really expensive for one of us to eat. And what started biting us as soon as the sun went down? Right on the beach. We got the seat that is framed by the sunset. Asked for a drink recommendation. 1 good 1 bad. The calamari has some sauce on it that meant I could NOT eat it. The rest of the menu didn't look like anything I wanted to eat. Keep in mind it had been 24 hours since I ate anything. No basic or simple choices. "Guess I will pass". Lee liked her pasta, but ate about 3 bites. She said she would take it to go. Which translates into it will end up in the trash in 20 minutes. Tried a second drink and the server forgot it. When I reminded him... It was really watered down as it had been sitting at the bar. UGG. Ohh well... Will find somewhere else to eat for the rest of the stay.
Chris N — Google review
You cannot get better than the outdoor seating at this place. Right on the beach, does not get better. Ropa Vieja Montaditos- this appetizer was the way to go. Delicious pulled pork. 4/5 Ribeye- this was pretty good. Honestly though I’d probably go with the seafood. 3/5

I loved this place , the aesthetic, the food, the view. Only downfall was that the food took a very long time to arrive and there was barely anyone the day I went . Another thing is that it was a bit confusing trying to figure out where the restaurant was at. You need to pay the hotel parking lot & enter the hotel and at the end of it is the restaurant outside. Definitely recommend this place for special occasions and for the photos !

Guests rave about the exceptional service that enhances their experience, ensuring every need is met with warmth and professionalism.
Quaint little family run 15 room hotel, right off the beach and perfect location for a nice get away. Amazing view of the ocean, steps away from the beach and less than a 10 minute walk to some of the best restaurants we’ve been to. The owner is super nice, the housekeepers ask if you want housekeeping everyday and are really friendly. Amazing place to stay if you know what you’re here for and love to explore not sit in your room all day. This isn’t for people who only want a resort style hotel where you can stay on property all day which is what makes it even better. This is no ritz Carlton and not for people who think it should be. Don’t waste yourself a bad time and a bad review on this beautiful place because you don’t know what you want. 10/10 would stay here over and over again

the poor reviews really don’t make sense to me. This place was beautiful and the rooms were completely clean in my opinion. There are restaurants extremely close by, less than a 10 minute walk. I was given water and snacks any time I asked. There’s plenty of complimentary sunscreen and things of that nature as well. I’m thankful this hotel even took me so last minute. Will be staying again.

We had a flight cancellation, landing us in San Juan for an evening. This place was perfect for us- the rooms are certainly no frills but have everything you need! Love the courtyard with beautiful plants. Our dinner last night was exceptional and the cocktails were delicious with natural ingredients with a beautiful ocean view. I love this spot!

So so sea view and this is it. No front desk which is not very convenient if you need something. The bar area most of the time is closed. Bar area at least can function for more hours, also need a little bit tlc to make it cozy. Ugly plastic chairs and ugly bar. No vending machine, nothing. Breakfast is included in the price but pathetic, exactly the same sweet mini burger rolls every single day and nothing else. I have never seen such a boring food in any other hotel around the world Rooms are dated, everything is very old, high humidity inside rooms due to the old windows. There is beach nearby but this beach is very dirty. Limited parking bays, if you park on the street you get ticket.
Stoyan N — Google review
Cute little hotel just a few steps from the beach. Clean, spacious room. Welcoming open air common spaces with waves splashing against the sea wall. Breakfast is minimal, but it is free. Workers are friendly and welcoming. Has the feel of a friendly Airbnb rather than a chain hotel. Would definitely stay here again.

What a great place to stay, right on the water, with beaches on either side of this place. The staff was so friendly and helpful. I just love it and will plan to return. Clean rooms with daily housekeeping. Nice little breakfast with delicious Puerto Rican coffee and great views. The courtyard is awesome with beautiful orchids and plants. The restaurant and bar is now open on weekends. They have very good food and the best Mojitos I've ever tasted ever!! Their little dog Coco is a delight and so friendly!
Nancy P — Google review
My wife and I had an amazing stay here. This small, safe, intimate hotel is in the most geographically perfect place in all of San Juan. What you can’t see from the map is that the two beaches on either side of this hotel are very different; one being very busy and one being somewhat remote and quiet. The staff at La Plata feel like a group of friends or a community that welcome you in and take care of you during your stay. They’re friendly, helpful, personable, and my inability to speak Spanish was never an issue. The value of this place cannot be overstated. Our room was half the cost of the rooms at the other larger resorts in the area and yet I could stand feet from the ocean on a beautiful concrete balcony in my pajamas. La Plata felt like a sanctuary making our stay in this busy area of PR very comfortable. It’s bittersweet to give this place a five star review as I really don’t think I will be able to afford it next time I come through as what we got for the money we paid seemed laughably disproportionate to the larger hotels in the area. I cannot recommend staying here enough.

If you pay the extra $3 you can see the special exhibits they also have going on. Plus, they have the beautiful botinical garden in the back of the building with a great walking path to see everything. They also have sculptures too.

There were a lot of people in line for the Bad Bunny exhibition but we only visited the museum itself and there was no wait. The museum was amazing. It made me and friend learned so much about Puerto Rican history and culture. I recommend spending 1.5 hour+ there to really get a close look into the stories behind the artworks. As Taiwanese, we resonated so much with the history of Puerto Rico as both countries had gone through so much due to colonization yet preserved our cultures through resilience and pride❤️

What a wonderful place to learn about Puerto Rican art and history. Staff are super friendly and knowledgable (especially Jose who was incredible!) and you can spend hours there exploring and learning. And don’t forget the beautiful garden!

I really recommend this for art lovers. This is an excellent exhibition with very interesting artists. It also has a library, a park with statues, activity rooms and more. See some photos I attach.

Beautiful museum. It is very nice to learn more about Puerto Rican culture through this museum. The outside was very nice and relaxing too.

After our flight was delayed we had some time to kill and thank goodness. We would have missed this gem. So much good stuff and a pleasant stroll through the park as well.

Perfect location if you want to be near the beach, even though you’re not directly on it and walking distance to many great restaurants! We truly enjoyed our stay here, but it was really because of the front desk. Francis, Francisco, and Emmanuel (manager), truly made our experience so much better by just being kind and helpful! When we return, we will probably stay here again mainly because we just loved the staff at the front desk. We interacted with Francis the most and anytime we needed anything (Suggestions on nearby restaurants or things to do being our first time there, to a request for housekeeping) She made sure it was taken care of! Thank you again for a great experience!

Where do I start! Stayed here for my 1 year anniversary and thank God I’m an optimist person because this stay would have ruined our vacation. Upon arrival we find a huge yellow stain on the bedding and a dirty shower. Calling the front desk..forget it. They don’t answer 98% of the time. After finally getting someone, room service came to our PENTHOUSE 3 hours later and handed my husband a sheet set for HIM to change the stained sheets. Absolutely not!!! I called and complained to the manager and then they sent someone to our room to change the bedding. Next, a rain storm occurred during the night and in the morning we discovered a huge water puddle on the floor by the window. BTW, if you look pass all the construction, the view of the water is incredible. The ceilings have visibly aged water damage, the walls literally had pencil markings circling various imperfections identified on the wall. The pool was micro sized and filled most of the time with families of kids and the hot tub was sandy. The shower gel ran out on day two and then the adhesive holding the bottle against the wall fell off the shower wall. The upholstery for the sofa, sofa pillows and kitchen chairs were visibly stained and disgusting!! I don’t think they ever deep cleaned. The ironing board…stained and disgusting, the iron…. nasty, towels….stained! Overall we won’t be returning. This was not what you would expect or accept for a penthouse stay.

This hotel should be embarrassed to call itself part of the Hilton family. Had to change rooms the first because the bed was broken, no soap in the shower, and the super thin outdated sliding door to the balcony let in all the noise. Staff was courteous to switch us, but Second room was two queen sized beds, one is completely broken and the other has one available sleeping spot. Doesn’t make for a very romantic get a way for me and my husband. Housekeeping staff is LOUD!!!! in the hallways. Maintenance of rooms (saws, drills, hammers) made resting on the afternoon difficult. Honestly when I laid down on the floor this morning it was more comfortable than the beds. Stained furniture, this hotel 100% needs a refresh. Also, if one tower of your hotel is garbage, and the other is nice and renovated, please tell people on the website. I would have paid extra to be in a nicer room. Will never come back, unfortunately have a reservation until Saturday morning or I would go somewhere else.

I stayed at the Condado Palm Inn from 9/25-9/28. When we arrived the front desk was amazing. They checked us into the room as soon as possible. Throughout the stay there seem to be some disconnect though. Housekeeping came super early and they were asked to come back. They never did so the the room was never refreshed and we had to go downstairs for water. Despite the front desk staff being nice the service was not up to par. Location and view from the room did make it more comfortable .

My friends and I stayed for weekend which was a great experience. The staff were easy to talk to about things around the town. It’s near a lot of restaurants and beach, walkable but traffic is bad coming out and in as they change one of the rodes to a one way. Beds were clean and view was okay, they have a pool and jacuzzi 24/7 plus gym which is nice.
V — Google review
We were disappointed in our stay. The bedding in the room had a terrible stinch, like collard greens. The covers smelled so bad as if they hadn't been changed in weeks and you could see the mildew. We just slept without the covers. We did let the front desk know but honestly her response was nonchalant. We were told at checkin we would get 2 buffets free due to our status. We went to breakfast and ate and then was told it was only cold options and they tried to charge us $11 pp. They did remove it. However they should have been clear at the host station. The Chocolate Cafe next door was a great treat. The location is great but that's about it! Definitely would not return.

The good: Great location if you are looking for nightlife. The attached restaurant was good as well. The staff were all polite. The view from my room was awesome. The beach was one block away. The not so good: The noise from the street bellow is really bad. I was on the 8th floor and the horns, cars, music, and yelling at the street prevented me from sleeping. I sent in for laundry and if youbdrop it off before 9am, you get it back by 7pm. They did not have my closed washes. I did not want pressed, just washed and thrown back in the bag and brought to my room. I did not receive my laundry and had to spend my night washing what I had worn that day. I go it at 5pm the following day all ironed and a charge for $50 for 2 pants, 3shirts and 2 pair of socks. I needed the clothes that day so a complete waste of money.

Had a wonderful stay with my family. Service was off the park. Rooms were clean, location was perfect. 24 hour pharmacy right in front, plenty of restaurants around opened until late. 2 min walk from the beach. La Placita is a 10 min walk from the hotel but Uber is very affordable and quick during non peak hours. 24 hour pool and Jacuzzi! Shot out to our host Antonio Torres, greeted us with a smile, made us feel at home during our stay and provided amazing feedback and recommendations. Can’t wait for our next trip, will definitely be staying here again.

Bebo's Café is a popular no-frills restaurant located near the DoubleTree on the border of Condado and Santurce. It's always bustling with locals and visitors who come to feast on delicious comida criolla at affordable prices in a family-friendly atmosphere. The extensive menu offers a variety of dishes, from garlic mofongo to grilled skirt steak, seafood-stuffed mofongo, barbecued ribs, and more.
This place was good enough we went back 3 times in a week partially due to it being close by and affordable. The place is constantly packed. The only thing I didn't like there was the seafood monfongo. The cod fish balls were interesting. The empenada good. The yellow rice was good 2 of 3x and it had been sitting to long. The roasted pork and roasted turkey was good. The sweat tea is amazing

We enjoyed our food! The calamari is missing because it was eaten quickly. Be prepared to wait, but it is worth the wait. We arrived at 6p and within 30 minutes of our arrival they were full and busy! Subtracted one star for the saltiness of the fried pork.

We visited this local casual spot here in Puerto Rico and enjoyed another delicious meal. The place was packed, which gave it a lively atmosphere. Our server was just okay at first, but after a while she warmed up and service improved. I ordered the shrimp mofongo—it was good, though not quite as flavorful as the one I had yesterday. The empanadas were tasty, and I appreciated that the oil used was fresh and clean, without any leftover flavors from other foods. Overall, it was a good experience and worth the visit.
Jenny C — Google review
The food here is delicious and the prices were great. The service was just okay but I gave them the benefit of the doubt because it was overly crowded when we went. I got over it once I tasted that delicious food. I had the crab and lobster empanadas as a appetizer and it was so tasty. I tried the stuffed Avocado and it was amazing and the portions were huge. The beans and rice were delicious.

I had Casuela de mariscos with tostones and had to ask for an additional arroz mamposteado it was delicious. Food is really good, portion matches price. Their "sason" is unique and the service we got from Edward was good, his genuine kindness made us feel welcomed.
Emely D — Google review
The service was nice and pleasant and after all the great reviews on social media I had to check this place out. The soup was flavored nicely it was just room temperature. I’m not sure if that’s how you’re supposed to serve it. The chicken by far was awful. Fried way too long and sucked out all the juices from it and was bone dry. Just a chalky taste. My tacos were ok. Nothing amazing but they could have been better. A lot better. I’m sad that I didn’t get the amazing flavors everyone on social media had. A lot of better places around the area in my opinion.

I came here at the recommendations of many people and honestly it was a decent suggestion. They were busy when I got there at 5pm on Mother’s Day (Sunday) and we had to wait in a line. I was eventually seated at a table by the window and was looking over my virtual menu for quite some time when the owner (?) came by and asked if I was by myself. I said yes so he asked me to get up for a second while he moved my table and took some of the chairs. No big deal…they are busy. Another 10ish minutes go by, I see a lot of tables around me getting served and I was getting a little disappointed by this time bc I thought maybe I was being overlooked. Finally after about 10-15m later from being at, a very sweet waitress greeted me and asked if I wanted to drink something. I declined and asked for recommendations on 1 appetizer, 1 entree and then dessert. I got the coquetas de pollo (6/10), monfongo with the garlic chicken (monfongo was kind of dry 4.5/10. Chicken was decent but could have used more of the gravy stuff 6/10) and a side of yellow rice with beans mixed into it (8/10). Everything was good. I wouldn’t say the best and I felt like it was lacking a little bit of flavor 🤷🏻‍♀️. The star of the show was their tres leche cake. I WISH I would have ordered 2!! It had a dense and moist cake with the 3 milks soaked in it and a whipped creamy brulee style topping and had a hint of coconut. It was 11/10!! Also, keep in mind the parking is crazy and I believe $15 so if you are traveling, highly suggest an uber as the area is very busy and populated
Emily C — Google review
My girl friends and I arrived to the restaurant walked in and saw how busy it was. From that moment I knew the food had to be really good. There’s a long line once you get inside that starts from the back of the restaurant and may even start out side the back door. That’s how good the food is. People are willing to wait half hour need be to get a table. I ordered the Aguacate relleno de crab. It was delicious, I will say I wish it was a little warmer when it arrived to the table. It was cooked in a red sauce which I didn’t mind, just assumed it was just the crab meat alone. Each one of us ordered an Aguacate relleno with different proteins. They were all delicious. As an appetizer we ordered tostones relleno, add a little hot sauce and thank me later. For desert the Flan de Coco it was amazing.

Italian restaurant
Seccarelli is a great Italian restaurant that offers fantastic food and service. It's perfect for a special occasion, and the prices are very reasonable. The atmosphere is relaxed and charming, and the wine selection is excellent.
We had the pleasure of dining at Seccarelli in San Juan on Christmas Eve, and it was an unforgettable experience. Despite our very last-minute reservation request, the hostess graciously accommodated my wife, son, and me without a hint of irritation. Her warm and welcoming attitude set the tone for the evening. The service throughout our visit was impeccable—attentive, friendly, and professional. And the food? Absolutely amazing! I recommend the tagliatelle with truffles. Every dish was crafted with care and bursting with flavor. My wife and I couldn’t stop talking about how much we enjoyed everything. Seccarelli truly made our Christmas Eve celebration special. We’re so grateful for their hospitality and the wonderful memories they helped create. If you’re in San Juan, don’t miss the chance to experience this gem. Seccarelli, the Vercher family thanks you for making our special occasion even more special.
John V — Google review
We went for lunch at Seccarelli today and it was just OK. We ordered a Martini and a Aperol Spritz for drinks and they took 15 min. to bring them, eventhough the place was empty. We ordered two appetizers: a swordfish carppacio and a goat cheese with pesto, toast and arugula salad. The carppacio was very good, uber fresh and the flavors were excellent. The goat cheese with pesto was also very good. The balance of flavors and acidity was to die for, extremely well prepared dish. For main dishes we ordered: the pasta special with swordfish, cucumber with butter and white wine sauce, spaghetti a la amatriciana and a spaghetti alolio. The pasta with swordfish was the best one, the sauce was well balanced and it complemented the fish nicely. Unfortunately, the pasta a la amatriciana had too much sauce and lacked flavor, and overall the presentation of the dish was not the best. The pasta alolio had good garlicly flavor but lacked the heat of the crushed red peppers, and it was butter base instead of oil base which changed the flavor of the dish. For dessert we ordered a tangerine flavored crème brûlée which was fenomenal. The flavors were refreshing on the palate and smooth and creamy in texture. We also ordered a apple struddle with mascarpone ice cream. The ice cream was the best part of that plate, the taste of the apple struddle was underwhelming. Lastly, we ordered an irish coffee which was fenomenal and a great way to end our meal. Overall, I would recommed this restaurant for people looking for a quiet or romantic dinner, but at this price point, I would have expected the pasta to be sublime but unfortunately it was a great dissapointment.

Best Italian place to eat in Puerto Rico. Best Service, cozy ambiance, excellent cocktail menu and they also have a Sommelier. You need to get Tagliolini al Tartufo (best flavor ever). Fishes have excellent quality, if is not fresh they’ll not serve it. They cook with love. Please, dress formal. They have their own olive oil imported from Italy (same location as the chef’s grew up) and also you can buy it! They also have a pizza menu and you can order to go. I can’t believe everything is so perfect, they don’t missed. Also, they have a hidden menu everyday, they’ll offer everything they have. Mostly the restaurant is very busy, so make your reservation with time. The manager Estefania, the sweetest person ever and makes sure you leave the place with harmony and happiness.

Family restaurant
Acapulco Taquería Mexicana is a casual eatery with an open kitchen where you can watch the preparation of their signature al pastor pork. The restaurant prides itself on serving authentic Mexican cuisine, eschewing Tex-Mex fare in favor of dishes like al pastor and lengua tacos, cochinita sopes, and more. Despite its unassuming location behind a pawn shop, this spot is known for some of the best Mexican food in Puerto Rico.
Wow, everything is very tasty and delicious, from drink to tacos and bowls to desserts. My favorite food was Quesabirria, it’s somehow like a large taco that comes with shredded beef which is perfectly marinated and cooked, it is absolutely one the best food I’ve ever had; it was so delicious that I came back again 2 days later. Staff are really friendly and the environment is pleasant too. I loved everything about this restaurant.

Casual sit down taqueria, friendly team. Open air upstairs seating. The tacos took about 15-20 minutes to come, sort of a longer wait. I really enjoyed the steak taco on the left. Carnitas was very salty but the salsas complemented them well. Corn tortillas were good too.

The food was simple yet amazing. Each bite was delicious. Every taco ordered was a hit. Drinks were so refreshing and tasty. I truly recomend this little spot with great and quick service. The only hicup is parking, and the fact that it being a small establishment you might have to wait a few to be seated. But if you dondecide to go you will not regret the experience.

Great taco place. Great service . Great coctails. And most important dog friendly! We had a delicious lunch and we will definitely come back. One star down because the churro machine broke, and we weren't able to have desserts.

My family and I came in to enjoy a nice meal around lunchtime — couldn’t have been better! My family and I are vegetarians, so finding authentic food that meets our restrictions is often difficult. Acapulco Taquería gave us a great meal during our visit. The food was fresh, the service was welcoming, and the atmosphere felt incredibly warm. Our favorite dishes had to be the guacamole, burritos, bowls, quesadillas, and churros. Each item was fresh and very flavorful, definitely recommend for anyone looking for a great meal!
Niharika — Google review
The food in this place is outstanding. It is one of the best places to eat tacos in the area. The Guacamole was very tasty. Margaritas were good but pricey, they didn't even serve it in the traditional margarita glass. The place got 2 floors, the second tends to be more crowded. Service was average, luckily we didn’t see the girl with red hair of the previous bad reviews. Parking on street, credit cards accepted.
