Fantastic food and budget friendly. I knew it must be good as full of students! Canteen style and loads of wonderful options. Highly recommend especially if on a budget!
We went mushroom picking in the Priekuļi forests and later decided to stop in Cēsis for a meal. Most cafés in town seemed rather expensive, as if meant only for foreign tourists, and the vegetarian options were quite limited. We chose Bistro Pasēdnīca. It’s easy to find, right in the center. The service is quick, the food is reasonably priced and tasty enough. The only drawback was the coffee – the latte was a bit weak, especially considering the €3 price. Still, it’s a good place if you’re hungry and want something simple.
The workers are very mean - they hurried me and didn’t give me time to choose my order, mind you, it’s was a bit over 08:00am, there was no people there. They also had a big attitude towards me, when other people ordered they were much nicer to them.
Another thing I didn’t like about this place is the price for the food - I paid 5,6€ for 2 pancakes with cottage cheese, I could buy a whole pack of those in the store and even more, the food was quite filling though, but it was also very sweet - I could barely finish the other pancake.

What a great buffet! Affordable prices.
Vegetarian options available. The mushroom sauce was sooo good. The staff is friendly and the service is fast. Great value for money. You can mix and match according to what you'd like to eat (more meat/salads)
