We got there without a reservation at lunchtime (around 13:30) and they got us a table right away. The place is beautiful, minimalistic, very bright.
So, this is the best garlic bread I've had in Latvia. Dill sauce was amazing. Plus everything they did with lingonberry was divine. Both blueberry and rhubarb lemonade were 10/10.
They were extremely accommodating when we asked for vegetarian options, so in the end we got the forest flatbread with moose meat on just one side. They even put extra cheese on the side without meat. Amazing flavour, amazing service! Then we got the cheesecake with cranberry to share. Amazing as well.
Incredible experience for the price. Can't recommend this place enough.
Hidden gem in Cesis. Family friendly and absolutely the best restaurant we had in a while. Customer service is great, simple modern design with a small kid house. The food is exceptional with creative presentation and unique flavors. Offer kids menu which is a big plus for parents with kids.
I came on a rainy day for dinner. It was kind of late but they had space. I sat by myself received a menu and then waited. It took a little while before the server showed up. I decided to go with the tomato soup and trout main course. The soup didn't take too long to arrive. The presentation was amazing! The soup was warm and with a beautiful love of creme fresh. It also came with this beautiful and super delicious cracker with things on it that I didn't recognize. The server did tell me, and I believe it was fish, but am not sure. The server came to ask me if I liked it when she grabbed the empty dish. That should always be done while eating, in case something is off. Then I got the trout, also beautiful presentation with fish foam, veggies and a quinoa broccoli mix under the fish. Once again, presentation was beautiful. The trout was cooked to perfection. I didn't like the foam much nor the quinoa mix, I felt they were tasteless and didn't elevate the dish. Veggies were cooked well and had good flavoring. Would have liked a lemon to squeeze on the fish as it was slightly tasteless, there was also no salt or pepper on the table, and the server, nowhere to be seen, until the end of the meal to check for all these things.
Overall it was good, for the price, I expected more flavor and better service. Nonetheless, I would come here again if I were in town.
The atmosphere was top notch, with beautiful decor

That time when with all the literacy I can only say “Wow” 😀 👏 But what exactly builds such a review:
- the service and food is amazing
- attention to details and responsiveness to the « special requests »
- the food is served in a truly beautiful manner
I had a tough challenge as I had to feed my hungry husband while also assisting mom with training her working dog 🐕
We were given an isolated table (away from other guests) and when we asked to have a small cucumber for the puppy - the chef took his pride in preparing her the restaurant dish served to the highest standards 🥰
Amazing. Thank you to the team for our beautiful experience!
The best meal we had in Latvia. The chef is incredibly talented and creates so many unique, creative and incredible flavors. The carrot tart with fermented garlic is incredible. The arctic char flatbread is also not to be missed. The honey cake dessert is outstanding.
