Hansen’s Ice Cream Parlour and Café

Me and my boyfriend, visiting from India, stopped by Hansons Ice Cream Parlour & Cafe during our trip, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. We started with the Affogato (hope I spelled that right!), a scoop of vanilla ice cream with espresso, and it was honestly the best I’ve ever had. The combination was rich, smooth, and absolutely lit up our morning. My boyfriend had the English breakfast, and I went for the smoked salmon with eggs. While the dishes looked good, the plating felt a bit clumsy and could use some finesse. Unfortunately, the salmon didn’t sit well with me, though it was cooked properly, it made me quite nauseous and I was close to throwing up. The eggs were also too watery and bland. I ended up ordering a croissant, which was fresh and decent, it saved the morning for me! The real highlight, though, was the ambience. The café is set up beautifully, with a lovely garden and a spacious, cozy vibe. The staff were amazing, very friendly, attentive, and quick to clear tables, making sure we were comfortable throughout. Despite the food not being perfect for me, the experience was still a good one, thanks to the great service and setting. Would recommend a visit, especially for their ice cream and hospitality!
