Costa Teguise

Costa Teguise is a resort on the east coast of the Spanish island of Lanzarote. It’s known for its sandy beaches, like Playa de Las Cucharas, a water sports hub. Lanzarote Aquarium has many marine species, plus an underwater tunnel and touch pools. Restaurants and shops line the lively Pueblo Marinero square, partly designed by local artist César Manrique. West of town, Aquapark has water slides, pools and zip lines.

Well with the entry price of €10. Wasn't really familiar with the work of Manrique, as it's my first time in Lanzarote. This was a great introduction. Once you've been you start to notice his influence all over the islands! Must have been a beautiful house and had been sympathetically converted for the Foundation's purposes, without losing any of its former impact.
This place is absolutely stunning, we just kept saying wow wow wow when we visited. Such a special and interesting piece of architecture, would really recommend to visit. The gardens are also magnificent. Plan to spend about 1 hour. Easy free parking. They also have a small coffee shop with some snacks. We bought the combined ticket, you can visit the other house within 15 days of your visit here. The 10 eur tickets is definitely worth the price (17 eur for the combined ticket).
Makes for an interesting visit, getting a chance to look at how the artist lived here before he moved to his new mansion in Haría. The house is very spacious and looks very relaxing. However, with 10€ entrance charge (for non-residents) it's a little overpriced.
The ticket is 10€/person. You see one of the iconic person on the island. You kinda see his house, and what he did (from arhitecture to paintings). Good place to have a look if you are interested in that kind of things.
Had a lovely walk into the Cesar Manrique Foundation this morning, his first house. Very interesting site where you can learn the history of Cesar and how he contributed to the island!
This is a very interesting place to learn about César Manrique, his life and what he did to protect Lanzarote. We visited as part of a larger tour around César Manriques life, which is very interesting.
This place is an absolute must see, full of history and a delight to walk around, just WOW!!
Fantastic place to visit, a 70s throwback house in lava bubbles! Some amazing artwork too.

✨ Review: Lanzarote Aquarium ✨ I recently visited the Lanzarote Aquarium with my daughter, Bethany, and it was an experience to remember. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm and welcoming, even capturing photos for us to view later as a keepsake. The aquarium itself was truly impressive – home to everything from sharks and stingrays to pufferfish, eels, sea turtles, and countless exotic species. The highlight for us was walking through the tunnel as sharks swam gracefully overhead – a magical moment we’ll never forget. The entire visit was both exciting and educational, and I can’t recommend it highly enough for families, couples, or anyone looking to enjoy the beauty of marine life up close. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ highly recommend
Surprised to see some of the low reviews. This is a lovely aquarium, we took our 1 yr old 10 and 12 yr old and all loved it. As some of the other reviews say, make sure you take your time, from walking through the front door to leaving it was about 2 hours. We took our time looking in each tank, there are always a few creatures hiding so if you spend a minute or two at the smaller tanks you will spot more than just a quick glance. There are things for the kids to climb on to look into the tanks and it has a nice underwater theme throughout. The walk through tunnel has a couple of sharks and a turtle. The big tank had a load of fish in, big rays and lemon some smaller sharks. If you want to go to an aquarium to see a great white, giant squid and spend all day there, then this is not the place.
Lovely little aquarium. And quite warm when you get down out of lift, if you do not like confined space probably not appropriate for those who don't, we went in october so can't imagine what it would be like during summer months. it took us about 15-20 minutes to see everything.
Great way to spend an hour or two on a rainy or cloudy day in Costa Teguise. Clean throughout, animals look well looked after. Knowledgeable staff who clearly care for the animals. Is a sanctuary for local sealife as well as a tourist attraction. Enjoyed a talk from a member of staff at the end too. Fair value for the price.
Great place to visit. Good attraction, interesting, clean, friendly helpful staff and good wheelchair access. The aquarium do a lot of conservation work helping injured animals etc. So spend some money! Its for a really good cause
Wonderful day out for the whole family. The staff were really friendly and full of interesting facts about the fish, which made the visit even better. Our 4-year-old was absolutely fascinated — which is no mean feat! Couldn’t recommend it enough for families visiting Lanzarote.
A lovely place to visit, a relaxing environment to watch the fish and other sealife. The staff were helpful and informative about the different species. Lots to see, I really enjoyed the octopus, turtle and the Ocean tank.
We really enjoyed our visit to the aquarium. We were lucky enough to go on a Monday which is a feeding day. It was great seeing the turtle, sharks, rays etc being fed. The staff were very informative and friendly. A fun place for adults and children alike.

Crystal clear water, lots of colorful fish. Great place for snorkeling with kids, no waves. Water was a bit cold. You can pay for sunbeds and umbrella if needed. Small but beautiful beach.
Lovely horseshoe-shaped little beach for paddling or swimming, with the perfect blend of sand and rocks. Well worth a visit if you are in Costa Teguise.
It's a beautiful little beach in a cove – you've got toilets and it's pretty accessible. There are lots of fish to see and space to set up for the day if you want. Met some great people here too. We've been back multiple times already to enjoy the sun, sea, and sand.
El Jablillo beach is located in Costa Teguise, in the east of Lanzarote. It has beautiful and crystal-clear water through which one can observe fishes swimming around. It is perfect for the whole family, and I highly recommend visiting this beach if you are nearby!
The pictures I took don’t do it justice. Best beach in the area by far. Mixed crowd, from younger to older to couples to families. We absolutely loved it. Make sure to explore this gem.
Lovely little beach. Take some bread and a snorkel loads of fish to see.
Great little gem of a beach, perfect for snorkeling/scuba diving, there is hundreds of fish here. Clear blue waters. Few sunbeds and umbrellas, toilets near by and not far away to get some refreshments.
It’s a beautiful beach with volcanic rock formations that create a natural environment suitable for sun-bathing. Clean water, white sand. You may sea fish and other sea creatures on the rocks. The only downside is there is no public toilet apart from in the restaurant nearby. Unless I missed something however that’s unlikely. So one star less.

Beautiful, clean beach with wonderful sand. Easy to get in and out of water, lots of services nearby. Shame the beach showers aren't working (out of season?) and there are a few annoying towel sellers etc etc around...
I hate to leave a review on what is specifically a beach, and a really nice beach at that. However the whole beach front area and restaurants are very tired and over "british-fied" if that makes sense. Think like a run down blackpool, where each restaurant could do with a lick of paint. Quite a few vacant buildings as well. It's sad and I'm sure 10-15 years ago this would have been a much nicer area to walk around. Also, big big problem for me, the lack of public toilets! Walked for ages without seeing one!
Beautiful beach with golden sand and clear waters. Great for swimming, sunbathing, and especially windsurfing when the breeze picks up. Plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby, so it’s easy to spend the whole day here. Relaxed atmosphere and well-kept – highly recommend!
Playa de las Cucharas is a beautiful and sandy beach in Costa Teguise. It has beautiful white sand and the water is crystal clear, and ideal for all the family. It's dotted with breakwaters of volcanic rocks which allows spectacular photos to be taken on the beach!
Beautiful beach, lots of Little Rock pools with little creatures to find. Close to shops and bars. Very easy to spend the day away here on the soft sand.
Lovely beach, clean with nice water. Overall a pretty safe place. Would swim here again.
Beautiful beach. Very calm and crystal clear waters.
Great beach! Nice size and life guards are about to monitor everyone’s safety. Didn’t need to pay for a bed or umbrella as was able to put towels on the sand and we coped just fine!

Mountain peak

This is the extinct volcano that overlooks Costa Teguise. There are fantastic views of the south side of Lanzarote from the top which are well worth the effort of getting up there. It's quite a walk from the road over some rough ground though and there are a lot of loose stones underfoot on the steep winding paths up to the summit. Pick a cooler day, wear some decent shoes and take water with you.
(Translated by Google) The car went over hill and dale and the parking space was more improvised than planned. At the foot of the mountain we strolled around with 2 families and enjoyed the sunset. There was a lot to discover and you could enjoy the unique landscape!
(Translated by Google) We tried to reach the top/crater rim, but unfortunately it was too difficult due to the wind, the steep path and the loose stones. Nice view and hard work. (Original) We hebben geprobeerd de top/kraterrand te bereiken, maar helaas te moeilijk door de wind, het steile pad en de losliggende stenen. Wel mooi uitzicht en hard gewerkt.
