wonderful. From the moment of arrival and the kind treatment of the employees to the moment of leaving, everything is neat, clean, and excellent A lovely experience that I will repeat again and again. I wish you were in Stockholm and I could use your good service every day.
Cool place but tends to be way to crowded. Sometimes so that you wonder how many are actually allowed inside at the same time. Ques can be long but move relatively fast. The biggest negative is that they don't allow you to bring your own food. The food they serve is not great but not bad either, but it would be nice to be able to choose between theirs and your own.
I have a 9-year old and a 6-year old. They loved it and went on all the slides except the single rubber ring one (despite seeing some small kids do it, I went on it and thought it was pretty terrifying!). The kids loved the whirlpool at the end of the ground floor pool too. Will definitely be back!
Exciting architecture, really something outstanding. Of course it can become a bit crowded, but obviously this is not the place where you go for a relaxing swim. Water and ambient temperature were fine, personnel friendly and attentive. The one big nuisance is the parking space: It is operated by a shady company which issues instructions only in Swedish, requires you to install an app, register with a lot of personal details and pay by credit card. And while you're going through all of this, they sneak up to your car and give you a 500 SEK fine for 5 minutes! This really spoils the whole experience. 😞
This place has potential, but there are several issues. Not all rides were open and visits are limited to fixed time slots, even though you pay the full price. The promise of cheaper online tickets is misleading, as in reality you pay extra when buying at the counter. The pool designs is questionable, with ''hidden'' steps that make slipping and injuries likely. It’s very slippery overall, so slippers are a must. While it's nicer than some other places, it still feels pretty expensive. Worth if you're staying for the spa.
Absolutely recommend. You have everything your heart desires. From fun slides,to baby pools and a special section apecial for adults with a bar and calm environment. And for the price you get a lot. We had a whole day of fun there.
I have to give an honest review. This place gives the impression that it's some sort of cool adventure waterpark....it is not. It's a swimming pool with a few slides. Some of the "attractions" were shut down (The Double Racer and the Aqua Cinema). The "Wall" in the beginning had so many grips missing it was impossible to actually climb it to be able to enjoy it. They didn't have enough tubes so people were standing around at the bottom waiting. I even saw some adults trying to take tubes from children. The lines are long and they close down certain slides during certain times which makes no sense, which causes even longer lines. They only have TWO VR headsets at a time for the "underwater experience" which is insane considering how many people are there. The VR for the slides is "ok" but its very outdated, it reminded me of when VR first came out not to mention you have to pay to even use the headsets every time you use them! For the price it's SUPER overpriced it's not fair that we were charged full price for a park that wasn't fully functional. The only thing that was actually cool was the Boomerang, altho ride with caution, I slammed my backside and legs on it.
I dont know what justifies the entrance fee. 300 kr during school break. For a pool and some slides.

Cool outdoor museum area and park to walk around. Plenty of buildings to explore with informational plaques in Swedish and English explaining what everything was.
Good place for a walk around into traditional Swedish lifestyle. They've preserved some of the farmer equipment from old times. It has a free entry. There's also a word museum reciting forgotten Swedish words. You can witness live cattle like different types of goats, rabbits, duck, goose and horses.
Vallby Open Air Museum: A Five-Star Journey Through Time! 🕰️🌟💖 Vallby Open Air Museum is an absolute must-visit and easily earns a five-star rating! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Located in Västerås, this sprawling museum (4.4-star rating) offers a unique and immersive look into the cultural history of Västmanland county. Since 1921, the museum has painstakingly rescued and rebuilt over fifty historical buildings, creating a living village that spans from the 1600s to the late 1900s. The experience is brought to life by costumed interpreters who cheerfully share stories and knowledge in both Swedish and English. Visitors rave about the free admission, the beautiful, well-kept grounds, and the diverse range of things to see and do. You can explore period gardens, orchards, and farmlands, and meet native breeds of farm animals like Jämtland goats and Gotland rabbits. Beautiful and peaceful cathedral with stunning brick architecture and rich history. The interior is well-preserved, with detailed wood carvings and a calm, spiritual atmosphere. A must-visit when in Västerås!
This is a very beautiful cathedral, with many altarpieces, both catholics and protestants. Since the cathedral is very old, a lot of ancient familiar exhibits their coats of arms, as patrons and donators of the church. Also Swedish ancient kings have their graves in the church flor.
Such a beautiful church. Don't know why, but they don't seem to be welcoming but maybe that's just me. I'll go back again and try again as it is a nice place
Looks like a nice simple church from the outside, but it's quite beautiful inside. Recommend visiting and enjoying a few moments inside. No entry fee. In the summer, there is a free organ concert at noon on Saturdays.
Beautifully preserved medieval church with countless pieces of art and history on every wall and tucked in every corner. Make sure to look in the treasury in the northwest corner (left side after you enter) for amazing artifacts and to learn about this church's place in the history of the Reformation in Sweden. Staff are very friendly and extremely knowledgeable.
Very relegion otianted place.....so sacred
Vásteras is one of the most old places in Sweden. This church is also one of the oldest buildings. The cathedral building is rich in architecture.Even from outer of the city you can see this church. It is situated near to the centrum. The internal architecture was rich. The place was well maintained. It is believed that this church was constructed in the year 1200s.Still the church was utmost one of the tourist attractions in Vásteras. The choir was very much big.You must definitely go to this church when you visit Vásteras
Västerås Cathedral is a church building in the northern part of the inner city of Västerås. It is the cathedral of the Diocese of Västerås and the parish church of the Västerås Cathedral Parish within the Church of Sweden. The church was founded in the 12th century, but is considered to have been consecrated in 1271 after a major renovation. It was dedicated to the Virgin Mary and John the Baptist. The cathedral received its current form as a five-aisled hall church in the early 16th century, while the spire and outer roof were designed by Nicodemus Tessin the Younger in the 1690s. The whitewashed blinds are particularly noticeable on the west facade. Västerås is mentioned as a bishop's seat in written sources from 1164, with a tradition dating back to the 11th century. The cathedral has since been the main church for the Diocese of Västerås. King Erik XIV, nobles from the Brahe and Sture families, as well as bishops and archbishops, are buried in the church, among others.

Ancient remains area & burial ground from Late Iron Age with 1 of Sweden's largest burial mounds.
Slide 1 of 8
The largest gravemound in Sweden with additional smaller mounds and stone ship graves, also a beautiful rune stone. The area is well kept with several information plaque s. A large free parking space close by. A good choice for a visit among ancient grave sites.
Anundshög is a monumental burial mound dating back to the Iron Age (~500–700 CE) located in Västerås, Sweden. It stands 9 meters tall and 64 meters wide—believed to be the resting place of a powerful chieftain or king.
Anundshög (also Anundshögen and Anunds hög) is a tumulus near Västerås in Västmanland, the largest in Sweden. It has a diameter of 60 metres (200 ft) and is about 9 metres (30 ft) high. Assessments of the era of the mound vary between the Bronze Age and the late Iron Age. A fireplace under it has been dated by radiocarbon dating to sometime between AD 210 and 540. Some historians have associated the mound with the legendary King Anund, while others regard this as speculative. It is purported also that the name is taken from the large runestone at the site, (Vs 13) the central stone in a row of 15 alongside the mound, re-erected in the 1960s and apparently marking out the route of the Eriksgata. At the foot of the mound are 2 large stone ships placed end to end, 51 metres (167 ft) and 54 metres (177 ft) long. The site was a thing-place and the ship settings may be associated with this function.
Neat area to walk around with informational plaques in Swedish and English. Awesome view of the stones from the top of the mound.
One more place out of my list. The place deserves a bit more love but overall it was really amazing being there.
Always a good stop off with the kids for exploring the mounds, some play and a snack. There is a well stocked play area and the open grass spaces and picnic tables allow for keeping an eye on the kids while having a sit down. The mounds themselves are great and the view from the top of the biggest mound is recommended. This place is not weather dependent and I think equally fantastic in winter as in summer (although somewhat more limited in activities) keep an eye out for events such as valborg.
beautiful archaeological site (burial mounds), just outside Vasteras.

A fantastic adventure. They give a 20min tour (safari) where you can see up close or pat the animals and feed some of them. Afterwards you can have a picknick at the park as well. Good for a day trip.
Nice, but small zoo, features nordic animals and farm animals. Small zoo for the children and featuring also for example lemurs, snakes and other. Restaurant is quite OK and there is a large playing ground for the children. Worth to visit but a long drive from Stockholm
We LOVE this place! All the staff is extremely pleasant and knowledgeable! If you have a kid they won’t want to leave. Highly recommend this place. We’ll be going back again soon. You need to go check this place out!! Keep up the good work all! Aloha 🤙
Impressive Rise of the Dinosaurs show with amazing display of snakes, lizard, buzzard and scary dinosaurs. Beautiful zoo with other animals outside including pony rides, horses, camels, wild boars and reindeer. Brunch available also!
What I like about this place is that they have so big space for animals to wander around. Also their waffles are handmade and tasty!
Perfect small zoo for a family visit with a lot activities for both kids and adults.
VERY family friendly! It is a zoo, BUT, it's also like a family zoo. It sounds weird, but it's perfect! There is a schedule so something happens every hour, your kids will love it. Our 4-yo did. Spent the entire day there! Food is affordable and suits everyone.
Nice place to stop by. Would've liked a larger indoor park this time of year.

Ok this place is fun for the whole family... Young and elderly It is famous for the Ice ... After enjoying the forge making wall hooks iron age style , they have a old working forge and you gen get involved .... Special thanks to Vivian , she is a great artist and a host
The place is nice, I was there on weekend (Saturday) around 4pm and unfortunately the ice cream shop was closed. Can anyone please mention days and timings for ice cream shop?
Nice place. Tasty food, a bit pricey. No alcohol served.
Quirky and different place, lots of old ships and reconstructions of viking-age ships. Not sure how true to history the ships are (thinking of the largest one, the cogg). Unfortunately the information signs are bleached by the sun and are hard to read. They do their own ice cream, Very tasty but also pricey. The staff might have had a bad day when we were there - seemed annoyed to have guests they had to serve. Not a single smile, just a bad attitude. I guess it would be possible to swim from the pier, but this isn't the place you go for a swim. They do rent out cayaks and have fun activities like archery for a fee.
Delicious home made ice cream!
A great place for family and friends. 1) Free car parking 2)No entry free 3) You can freely go inside the sailing ship 4) Wonderful scenary 5) You can very well spent minimum 1 hour 6) You can walk inside woods nearby 7) Very tasty icecream shop available (One scoup cone icecream for 45 SEK) 8) Wondeful lake view 9) Bring food and you get enough place to have it Visited on 22 May 2022(Sunday) with wife and kid.
Incredible ships and it gives a whole new experience to see them floating in the water. Friendly staff that love to talk about their ships and work. Very friendly and playful dog by the smith as well.
Not so much to do, ship was cool.
