Superb gardens easily accessible by road or boat. Beautiful features, architectural specimens and an abundance of colour throughout. A good couple of hours plus a lovely cafe on site

Giardini Botanici di Villa Taranto is a beautiful and well-maintained garden by Lake Maggiore. The huge variety of plants, well-marked paths, and stunning views make walking here a real pleasure. You can easily spend several hours enjoying it. The only downside is the rather high prices at the café and entrance. Despite that, it's definitely worth a visit.

Stunning gardens - some of the best maintained gardens in Italy. Came on a sunny afternoon and managed to avoid the crowds. The staff let us in before the palace and gardens closed… so we were some of the last in and got to enjoy it at our own pace. Great for beautiful photographs! And if you’re into gardening - there’s much for you to enjoy here too. Cost us about £20 to see all the gardens and the palace and I’d say it was worth it.

Gorgeous gardens with a wide variety of flowers, plants and trees and architectural features. Easy to follow signage for a self-guided tour. Definitely worth a walk through if you’re in the area.

Gorgeous garden with beautiful flowers and a nice view. Gets crowded quickly during the day, but we arrived before 10 and it was almost empty. They allow dogs inside which is super nice. Make sure to walk in order of the numbers to avoid walking up the steep serpentines.

If you're in the area then don't miss. Amazing collection of trees and shrubs. Awesome views across Intra into tha Alps.

It’s a stunningly beautiful area close to Lake Como. Personally, I like Lago Maggiore better than Como. It’s less pretentious and there’s great little town accessible by boat.

Lovely lake with some beautiful islands which you can visit easily. Plenty of places to have a meal or beverages, but parking is always difficult to find.

This bar in fact divides The Suna Beach in two and has its best part. I would recommend it if you seek a "sandy" place. Bar prices are ok, the staff is nice. My coffee Americano was too watery. A huge minus of this place is a lot of glass pieces spread across the water line. Regardless of the reason - be it the boats, tourists or consequences of having the bar there, this makes it not that kids friendly.

We had dinner here for one night. Everything was extremely delicious. There were not many vegetarian options, but it was possible to order a dish without meat, so that was great. The view is amazing, it’s a very nice place. Although, in the evening there is quite loud music from the bar downstairs, which kind of disturbs the cozy atmosphere, but that is my only complaint. Definitely recommendable!

Love this place. Visited couple of times and always stayed in the pool area. Very relaxing atmosphere. There are showers with cold and also with hot water, toilets etc. A bar with drinks and food. We had lunch there and the staff is nice and quick.

Pretty spot. Nice place to cool off on a hot day. Not too crowded mid-week. Very family friendly.

Suna Beach is great! The water is nice, the staff are helpful, there's a restaurant right there. Only thing is it's a little expensive to rent chairs :)

Perfetto! The drinks were made to perfection and the view is great. We had a cold cuts board and it was nice. The owners are super friendly and you don’t want to miss visiting this place when in the neighborhood

Nice villa to visit as the views to the lake are amazing! The food is a bit pricey for Italy style but is worth it as the villa is some sort of film scenario. Enjoy it!

Really beautiful place to visit when in Verbania. Garden is lovely and you can enjoy in a nice view of the lake Maggiore. There is also a nice bar nearby in which you can enjoy affordable refreshments and coffees

The exhibition exceeded my expectations

A charming gallery with famous sculptures from local artist and beautiful paintings of local scenes. The current Due Veronese sul Lago Maggiore, and the accompanying story are worth the admission alone. All of the explanations and labels are in both Italian and English. The staff are also very helpful and speak English! A charming courtyard cafe (and toilets) make this a fabulous place to visit.

Very much worth a visit. Pretty collection of Local 19th century paintings- and much more sculptures (but that i m not so fond of) and a very cosy snd stylish terrace with cafe outside. We had a coffee and a cake. Lovely experience! Have enjoyed the art very much

One of the best museums I've ever been. Almost no visitors, exceptional paintings and sculptures. Modern building with a nice staff. Hidden cultural gem of Lake Maggiore. Highly recommend to everyone!

Fantastic museum. The entire groundfloor with the art of Paolo Troubetzkoy is breathtaking, also thanks to how well it is curated.

A really interesting gallery with variety, the sculptures and tour of them are fantastic as well as available in English amongst other languages. The building itself is worth the visit and has a lot of local history.

A wonderful and unique collection of plasters and bronzed plaster sculptures by the internationally acclaimed local artist Troubetzkoy. An authentic gorgeous collection located in the enchanting village of Pallanza. A must visit!

A fine copy of Rome's Il Gesu. A classic example of mature baroque basilica based closely on the baroque archetype of Il Gesu. A single-nave basilica with a series of rectangular side chapels, and an elliptical cupola above the transept. Beautiful marble throughout the church is worth noting.
