A good walk a bit steep in places and muddy . A must for walking/wellington boots, plenty of parking and free (yeahy). A lovely little shack in the car park I didn't stop it was very busy which is good 👍🏻. The national trust have done well to encourage wildlife hedges all round here.👏🏻👏🏻
Lovely place. Well maintained throughout. Clean and peaceful. Free car park by Inkies restaurant opposite the main entrance to the falls. The restaurant has a vibrant and lovely atmosphere with outdoor seating area. I didn't have a meal there but the food looked delightful and well presented. Plus, their customers appeared to be happy and satisfied.
Well worth a visit so much to see and enjoy. There are fish in the river. It’s a peaceful enjoyable walk with lots of wildlife to enjoy. Very nice cafe situated the car park. Picturesque place with many different paths to follow. Well worth a visit.
Breath taking views, clear route marked out so easy to explore the waterfalls and woodland. Stunning moments of nature. The dog had a brilliant time as did we!
Beautiful walk, plenty of paths do great in winter without getting too muddy. There is plenty of parking and a little cafe. Great way to spend a few hours.
Beautiful nature reserve with a small river called Fowey slicing it across. There wasn’t much of a waterfall when we were there due to less rain. Peaceful with great path built out for good hiking boots. Quite short perfect for beginners. Surrounded by large trees
So much to enjoy. Whole place is calm and sheltered from the scorching summer sun with little stream flowing by. Hike is clearly signposted and well maintained. Waterfalls are beautiful. Free parking and free toilets are very nice too. Could easily spend a couple hours there.
Great experience in the woods, the marking of the map was very accurate. Can spend easy 1-2 hours to enjoy the fresh air and natured views. Make sure to follow the trail.

What a fantastic day out. Prices were £36 for 2 adults and one child. But this was at the option you could come back anytime throughout the day. The cave was fantastic. All the lights to colour up the cave were amazing. My son loved the whole experience. Great for a rainy day as well
Our visit to Carnglaze Caverns was great. Even without a guided tour, we found plenty to explore and enjoy at our own pace. It doesn't take too long to get round. The caverns are fascinating cool, vast, and beautifully lit to highlight the natural rock formations and the incredible man-made spaces carved out over the years. The Subterranean Lake was especially breathtaking, with its crystal-clear water. I loved seeing the LP cover shown where the photo was taken on the lake. Above ground, the woodland walk is a lovely addition to the visit. The trail is well signposted and has quirky sculptures and little surprises along the way. It’s a great way to enjoy the natural beauty of the area after spending time underground. Obviously there are a lot of steps and uneven ground. Wear good shoes. Everything is well maintained, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and the whole experience felt relaxed and unhurried. Nice little tea shop to relax after your visit.
A lovely place to visit on a hot day. All the staff were very friendly. The caverns were interesting but there wasn't a lot to see. The woodland walk was lovely. All in all it was a mornings visit but for the price £20 for 1 adult and a 15yr old it was good value.
First, the drive up to the caverns once you turn off the main roads was different. You feel like there is no one else on earth, which can be a bit spooky as the woods around you envelope you fully. The caverns tell of recent past mining history, and helps you picture what life would have been like for those who worked in them. The woodland walk was a lovely additional delight. Didn't try the cafe, but it seemed to be busy.
Went to see the Spooky Men's in the evening. Fantastic concert, setting, food and bar. Stayed overnight in our van (£6) and visited the cavern in the morning followed by a very enjoyable woodland walk (keep an eye out for all the fairy folk and piskies). All brilliant and very interesting. Crumpets and coffee definitely worth it for a late brunch! Last but not least.... the staff were awesome 👌 so friendly and helpful.
A great little attraction. The caverns aren't huge but the presentation and the historical signage of the caverns denoting it's historical relevance is really really well done. The gardens are excellent for walking your dog and also recommended. The staff are friendly and the cafe serves excellent cream teas. Really good value by today's standards at £9 each.
Not much to view apart from a small walk in the mineral cave highlight being the water pond. They had few sections closed during my visit. Cafe is good and ample of parking. The trek to find kids stamps was a good one for the kids they loved it.
Absolutely stunning place. Cavern is wonderful and so peaceful with a lake underground. There is a woodland walk, didn't get pictures, to busy looking for stamps. Very beautiful gardens, with a lovely little cafe on site. Free parking. Super friendly staff

Great wildlife park, with a great variety of animals (see pictures). Went during May half time and it was busy but never felt over crowded. So much to see and can spent 2 hours here with kids. Kids can feed certain animals which is great fun for them.
Wildlife rescue centre with variety of animals & a farm area tucked away in the countryside. Good place to take children or for anyone who likes animals. Some areas wheelchair accessible, but not the entire site. Can buy animal feed in the shop on the way in. Cafe closed currently (possibly plan for refurbishment), but can buy sandwiches, snacks and drinks in the shop. Little woodland walk pleasant. Staff friendly, helpful & enthusiastic about their animals. Good value day out.
Lovely to see the animals which were rescued and older ones. The park was very hilly in places, so you need to be fairly fit and the ground a little uneven, but overall a fantastic place to visit and no time restrictions so you're under no pressure to rush around. Would definitely recommend
Arrived at 3pm and bit of a rush round as close at 4 (was informed by lovely lady at desk). Genuinely is lots to see and nice walk down to see the porcupines and ostrich+zebra. Meerkat , monkeys of various types, birds, reptiles. Enclosures are what you expect from a sanctuary but it's very well worth the visit and feeding the animals is good crack. Also cheap entrance fee considering the upkeep.
Me and my partner went here because we love animals, seemed nice online and reasonably priced so we went for it. We absolutely loved it, you buy food for the animals and you can hand feed them which is amazing, they had baby deer in the deer enclosure which was a highlight for us. There's also a parrot at the front of the zoo that talks to you and he was hilarious I must say. We bought some sandwiches (they were pretty bad to be honest) and it was raining so the lady said there was an indoor enclosure for us to sit and eat which was ideal. You get to feed the goats, small horses, donkeys, deer, and sheep. The meerkat feeding was a bit rubbish, you just buy the pot and throw the contents in, when it said meerkat feeding, I thought you'd at least be in the enclosure with them. So that was slightly disappointing, but feeding the others more than made up for it. There's a cute little gift shop if you want to buy a souvenir too. We're on holiday but would definitely go again, we were there 3 and a half hours with lunch in-between so it's a good afternoon out.
Beautiful location and lovely to hear the family story behind how it all started, great variety of animals which all seemed content and relaxed to be there. Lovely to get so close to some animals, particularly the deer 🦌 We went here last minute and are all so glad we did
Absolutely lovely little sanctuary. For the price we saw a lot more animals than we expected. Love that you can get quite close. Got a fab picture of one of the meerkats and I even saw a sign saying you can feed them at certain times!
Lovely couple of hours spent here. My husband loved the meerkats and I loved the donkey. There are tortoises, guinea pigs, ostriches, deers and plenty more. They give sanctuary and homes to unwanted animals so don't judge them on their conditions.

Lovely place to stay) we stayed the weekend Friday-Sunday and was such a lovely campsite, there is a lovely cafe located on site near the tent pitches, bathroom is good for women’s has got warm showers and the toilets. Lovely views and overall really enjoyed! You can walk the whole lake which is lovely too see all the views! Defo recommend it’s great for dogs also! Lots to do a little Park too just near the cafe for children! Thanks for having us we will be back! ❤️
TOTAL SCAM!!!! DO NOT BOTHER GOING HERE. Parked at cafe which is only place you can and got a ticket because you pay for every second from driving under the barrier in, to driving under it again out. Cost me £60 for 13minutes because i bought a 2hr ticket and rest of time was finding a space, paying/unloading etc and reloading/sorting sat nav... go somewhere where you get better value for money, this is just a rip off
Excellent day out for a walk around the lake. At 3.2miles (5km) it's a good distance to get out there and enjoy the beautiful country side, see the farm animals around and blow away those cobwebs. The path around the lake is well paved so excellent for those with a pushchair, wheelchair, bike or other wheels. The visitor centre has a great range of lunch foods, with helpful and friendly staff. Well recommended!
Beware of the ANPR parking. Get 1 digit of your number plate wrong and you'll get a £100 fine from a Birmingham based car park company.
Did the 2.9 mile round the lake walk. Good paths. Took about an hour and a quarter. Car park £2.50 for 2 hours. Toilets on site. Cafe was closed when we finished about 4.45. Enjoyed it.
Visited this place a couple of times and for what it is, it's lovely. A play area for the children, a cafe with yummy food (including vegan burritos) and even a doggy play area where the dogs can be let off lead. An easy enough walk for children as the entire circular walk is flat and just over 3 miles. Even at a snails pace, should take no more than 90 minutes.
Beautiful place with very reasonably priced food and coffee. The sign says the walk around is 2 miles (3.5k) but that is an error. Google says its 3.6 miles and my partners new garmin watch says its 3 miles. In any case its a lovely easy walk on a gravel path with lovely views. Dog friendly.
Cafe under new management. Very friendly staff with vegan ice cream and vegan scones with tea or coffee. Very pleasant and beauiful spot. Good family walk around lake all flat ground(3.3 miles)for walking around lake or Cycling. Play area for children by cafe, is good for little ones and some seating area and 3 toilets available 😊

The beautiful and scenic Looe Valley line winds it's way from platform 3 at Liskeard along curves, river banks, sleepy stations and a reversal at Coombe junction. At Liskeard there is the old ticket office and museum with various artifacts of the line and it's history, it's free to visit before or after your trip down the valley. Looe is a pretty seaside town with lots of history, quirky shops, pubs and cafes and of course gets busy in the summer months.
The picturesque Looe Valley Line runs between Liskeard and Looe, where the railway follows the East Looe River valley for much of the way and runs right alongside the estuary. We had been meaning to travel the GWR route for some time and were not disappointed when we finally managed to. The dedicated platform for the community line at Liskeard is almost like an annex to the main station, which is around the corner 150 yards up the road. Handy parking is adjacent. The scenic journey takes around 30 minutes in each direction and the return fare was a very reasonable £5.50. There are a number of request-only halts along the way. Recommended.

Remote grouping of 3 ancient stone circles of Neolithic or Bronze Age origin on Bodmin Moor.

These beautiful moorlands offer stunning mountain views, especially on a clear day. If you’re lucky, you might spot horses grazing freely and even see young foals playfully running around — a truly charming sight! The area also features ancient monuments that add a historical touch to the landscape. There are two parking areas available, both free and with plenty of space, making it convenient for visitors.
Plenty of space in the free car park, even on a Saturday afternoon when we visited. Glorious! Wander at will, sharing the moor with sheep and ponies. You're fine in well-tread tennies/trainers for the uneven ground and dodging all sizes of 💩 We took our time - well over an hour - many pix. Welcome to Bodmin Moor!
Absolutely fantastic! Definitely a must do. And just a short walk up to the Cheesewring, do two birds one stone.
Loved this place on Bodmin Moor. Very interesting reading about the Circles. Great to take a nice long walk and soak up the atmosphere especially with the mine chimneys nearby.
Stunning landscape and surrounded by sheep and cows which makes these circles feel lived in, loved and welcoming. Try walking around and touching the stones asking them permission to enter each circle. Stand and wait for an answer. See if you sway in a certain direction for yes or no. What happens if you set an intention to connect to the land, circles and ancient ancestors and sit for a while, or sing and dance together? Why not take a journal, sit with a stone and see what unfolds. Try it with another and another... I take my crystals and connect time and time again. It's fun and fantastically Wyrd. Come join me...
Fabulous place of outstanding beauty to explore, acres of moor to discover, horses running free, and a sureal feeling around the ancient stone circle, easily missed if you dont venture far from the car park, a quick google explore will guide you there.
Worth the walk, worth visiting our Neolithic history
Fantastic stone circles. Easy access just off the road. Don't miss the pipers stones while you're here (i did)
