Twinlakes Park is one of the best amusement parks in the UK that I’ve ever visited. It offers a fantastic range of attractions suitable for all ages. Highlights include a water park available during the summer months, a well-maintained animal farm with a variety of animals, an impressive birds of prey section, and a wide selection of rides and activities. The park is clean, well-organized, and provides plenty of entertainment for families, children, and adults alike. There are numerous picnic areas throughout the park, making it easy to relax and enjoy a meal outdoors. The staff are also exceptionally friendly and helpful, contributing to an overall positive and welcoming atmosphere. There are also two large indoor play areas and several soft play zones, making it a great destination even in wet weather. Lot of other activities also... Highly recommended for visitors of all ages!
Brilliant family day out, something for everyone here. Enough rides to suit all ages and queues were fairly short. Indoor areas are great with plenty to keep children entertained, perhaps aimed at more younger children but the dark themed slides and play area is great for all along with the rapids ride. Classics like the pirate ship and log flume for all the family to enjoy. Easy to navigate around the park. Free parking available and gift shop at the end. Purchased a family photo which can be taken upon entrance. Highly recommend for families. Great value with family pass which we purchased via offer code at half price. Bargain! 🌟
We are theme park connoisseurs and this park definitely is one of our top five parks in the uk. As we have kids under ten, this park has things to cater perfectly to them. It's a perfect size to be able to cram every ride in. The queues are small and the atmosphere is very nice. There's a large, soft play and separate aerial ropes. And drop slides. There's a farm on top to. Great visiting during halloween, as there is a pick your own.
Great park but definitely more suitable for small children. Our 9 year old wasn’t as enthused and entertained as our 6 year old. Quite a long queue for some of the rides which meant the kids were getting fizzy. Water wasn’t working either whilst we were there so had to use hand gel - provided by the park - this wasn’t the parks fault though. Good choice of food at decent prices and the place itself was kept nice and clean.
Every member of staff were a delight (apart from the woman in the paying booth.... They were kind and considerate and very child friendly! The rides were great as our two are ten and haven't really been on anything like that much. Excitement overload. The indoor slides and lazy river were a godsend as it was bitterly cold. There were some animals in the barn, and we enjoyed feeding them (50p for feed from a self-issue machine). Especially as the llama and goat were trying to eat the feed out of the machine! And the Shetland pony kicking the door to get more food. There were rabbits and meerkats too. The kids enjoyed picking a pumpkin too which was free with the ticket. Who knew choosing a pumpkin would bring so much delight. Thanks Twinlakes it was a blast!
A great day out for kids with plenty of space to burn off energy, from rides to play zones. However, some queues are long, and one day may not be enough to do everything. Staffs were efficient but not very smiley. Still, a fun-packed visit for active families!
It's a good value for money with ONE big but, as long as your child is over 90cm. Otherwise there's virtually no rides they can be allowed on. They would not let you hold them on your lap and go down the water slides in the splash zone either. Animal wise it's quite poor in terms of variety. Nice picnic areas. Decent cafe and indoor playground. Car park is decent size but on the rainy day it's a bit of disaster especially if you have to go through it with a buggy.
Went for the firework display this evening and it didn’t disappoint, far enough away for my little girl not to be scared by them!!! Incredible display and it was nice that everything else was open later to accommodate for the fire work display!!

Dropped into the Belvoir Brewery on our way back from Newcastle for a couple quick pints and a Sunday lunch. Couldn't fault the beer or service and the food was excellent. The ale house itself is a lovely place to sit and relax. Already booked for next week.
Great place, really friendly staff. The taproom is a really great spacious area with loads of interesting brewing related memorabilia!! 😀 Definitely worth checking out! Just go online first as mostly closes at six o'clock. If you have a campervan then they will allow you to park for free overnight like we did! 😃👍
Didn't go on the brewery tour so can't vouch for that but we went for lunch at the weekend and the carvery was excellent. They catered to my Coeliac Wife and Mother In Law very well for the food and the beers I tried were very good!
Reliably open for preordered takeaway draught and bottled beer throughout lockdown. Worth a short trip to collect.
The best beer for miles around and lovely food - the sunday Carvery is not to be missed.
Very welcoming, excellent beer, super clean toilets.
Great beers, nice people, excellent service. Call in and support them!
Fantastic great bear and food, brilliant personal service

Large country park with several playgrounds, soccer fields & open lawns, plus a cafe.

Really nice park area, very clean, with multiple play areas, big open field spaces and wooded parts to explore. Impressively little dog poo or signs of graffiti or vandalism. The play areas were impressively pristine. There is a cafe with toilets at one of the car parks. Well worth a visit with children.
A wonderful huge park with lot of things to look at and do. Huge children's play areas, a cafe with loos, sensory garden, baby memorial, animal sculptures , 2 dog agililty courses, many trees, pitches for sports & games, huge lakes for water fowls, great for bike riders and dog walkers.
Melton Country Park is a lovely park, filled with nature and wildlife. There is a nice pond area with ducks, geese and swans, and a bird hide. As well as a short 5 minute footpath-guided forest walk. It's not normally very busy either. There is also a café in the car park, where you can get ice cream, and a kids play area in the forest. I would recommend this park for people who like to have a relaxed walk in the park, and people that like birdwatching. The one let down, is that the bridge that you can cross to get from the pond to the bird hide, is currently closed, and you have to take a long walk around it to get there. Other than that, it is a lovely place for a stroll in the park.
The country park consists of large playing fields, nature reserves, a reservoir tk the North, there's a bird watching area aswell, but make sure to be mindful - relatively tidy and children's playgrounds with a cafe.
This would be 5 stars but there is unfortunately a bridge that is still not repaired after flood damage and this affects beings able to access all routes. Aside from this it is a great county park with many walks at your fingertips for little feet, biking, or walking the dogs. I have pond dipped here with my children, walked the dogs on a different walk many times as there are many to choose from and spent hours with my children here enjoying the woods, play areas and having a picnic.
Fabulous place, really enjoyed our walk with our three dogs....
Great area to take the kids. Has a shop, toilet and playgrounds. Picnic tables around the lake. Great for dog walkers. And excellent for photography. Obviously the above is weather depending.
It was a nice park for a good long walk

Great museum and nice staff. Well worth a visit.
A good visit to Melton Carnegie Museum which is open on Saturdays! They have a cute little exhibition on George Villiers, 1st Duke of Buckingham who was lover to King James VI and I, his Master of Horses, a statesman, and patron of the arts. King James's first acts in power was to cement the Church of England as the official religion of England. He also got the whole Bible translated into English. This translation is known as the King James Bible and is still read today. They also has Stilton hat & a large art work of a melton mowbray pork pie. There is a sweet stuffed two head calf too. It was space week this week at the museum.
Enjoyable museum for the local area, staff were very friendly and helpful. No entrance fee but you can give a donation on the way out and they sell nice gifts.
Small but so well curated. So many local stories told - pork pies, fox hunting traditions, cheese and brewing. Fascinating.
I visited Melton museum for the first time today with my 18month old and was blown away! It’s so much more child friendly (in fact it’s very child orientated) than I expected. It has little activity stations, dress up rail, reading corners and my son absolutely loved it! The atmosphere was lovely and we didn’t feel as though we had to be silent walking round. I’ve already texted my friends recommending it and will definitely visit again!
Best Romano-Britain brooch ever 5/5 recommended
Fabulous little museum in my adopted hometown, showcasing the rich history that makes Melton such a great place to live. Really enjoyed it. A great way to spend an hour or so...
Lovely little museum. Very easily killed an hour in here whilst wandering around the town. Lots of historical bits and bobs and friendly staff to boot

Glastonbury is a great party! Now 4 days long in a celebration of the history of music. Some of the best tribute acts in the world turn up and strut thier stuff. Where wide can you see ABBA, Guns n Roses, Queen and Michael Jackson all on the same bill?? The food choices are amazing... if course the Pie and Mash is the best! Just need some sunshine.
What a hidden gem of a festival. Arrived on the Thursday having pre booked camping + to be greeted by very friendly and helpful staff and security shown to our allocated camping plot ( 5m x 4m) in the well lit camping area nearest the security entrance to the main arena. Camping plus gives you posh flushing toilets no portable cubicles with running water ( there was a slight problem with them the first night but the team had them sorted early the following morning) the toilets were kept well stocked and maintained all weekend made the camping experience all that more enjoyable The showers ( included in the camping + upgrade or £5 a shower cash only) were in the field next to camping + again they were spotless and well maintained with lovely hot water that was on a tap not one of those push buttons that cut the water off mid way through rinsing your hair. There is the " not a greasy spoon cafe" next to the showers serving breakfast and lunch that was very nice and good quality food The festival main arena is quite large with a big top stage closest to the entrance and the main stage is at the other end of arena. Good choice of food in the catering village and a selection of clothing and general festival stuff spread around either side of the main stage. Plenty of drinking water points and cover from the sun if needed There is a fun fair and ferris wheel on site but didn't use them so can't comment on prices The beer tent was well staffed and stocked with plenty of variety of drinks and never really had a long wait in a queue the whole weekend the staff were very friendly and remembered you and your order. Beer tent operates a token only system tokens are £1 each and the drinks I had were 5 tokens for non alcoholic doombar and 6 tokens for the very very nice and delicious raspberry ripple cider The selection of bands was great some were very very good ( young Elton was my favourite) others left a little to be desired but that's the fun of a tribute festival Some of the best fancy dress outfits I have seen were on display over the weekend and the Gordon Ramsey impersonator caught many people by surprise as wandered around the arena passing comment on people I returned from the bar one time to find the host Not Michel evis sat chatting with my wife asking her if she was OK and if she was having a good time Now for the crowning achievement of the weekend the porta loos in the main arena were kept spotless all weekend the guys from Lincs Loos were constantly on hand servicing the loos as soon as one became available they went in checking them cleaning them and guiding guests to the next available loo. Outstanding effort by them that many other festivals should learn from All in all we had an amazing time and are looking forward to the tickets for next year to be announced so we can book
I’ve taken a group of teens for the last two years - it feels totally safe to let them wander and enjoy themselves- it’s a family friendly festival and their first experience of live music. Something for everyone - highest quality tributes of any event of this type that I’ve visited and a great place to meet up with friends and have fun. ❤️🎉❤️ 🎉
Great festival. Very well organized. Great bands, and sound set up is fantastic. The festival is extremely friendly and the one bonus, almost no idiots compared to usual festivals. Loads of space for camping. Toilets and showers clean, and are regularly cleaned throughout the weekend. The one downside is the price of food, very very expensive and gas cookers not allowed, so if you want to avoid paying extortionate food prices you probably need to think outside the box. Overall great festival though and suitable for all ages. Highly recommend. Keep it up Glastonbudget
Having lived with anxiety all my life I never had the opportunity to go to a festival THEN ALONG CAME THE BUDGET ! Amazing top quality music. Very safe environment. Great prices REALLY BRINGS PEOPLE TOGETHER!
Running for over twenty years, Glastonbudget has provided a more wallet friendly version of the huge Glastonbury festival. They host a number of stages to for shows by some of the best tribute acts in the World. All genres of music are catered for from the 1970s right up to modern day music. Lots of acts specifically committed to keeping alive the music of deceased artists such as Freddie Mercury, David Bowie, Tina Turner, Amy Winehouse, Nirvana and Linkin Park to name just a few. We attended the 2025 festival had a great time, plenty to do and see. Maximum capacity of around d 20,000 so not overcrowded either. We had the best time and are looking forward to returning again in the future. Note: Alanish Morrisette tribute Alanish were flawless!
Glastonbudget festival is such a fantastic, family friendly and enjoyable festival. We haven't missed many since it started in 2005, and as soon as tickets are available, we book for the next year. Keep smiling. 🙂
Traveled from the state to see Glastonbudget 2025. What a great experience. Looking forward to going again.
