In fact there are 3 beaches here, separated by a small promontory, which creates the Chia beach region. Though popular with locals and tourists alike, these white sand, crystal clear waters beaches are a jewel in the area. It is common for the locals to spend all day here, especially on Sundays. They usually bring their meal, but you don't need to as the beaches are well equipped with facilities like bars, food outlets at very reasonable prices (I've seen Panini with chicken cutlet for €6 and beer for €3), and hot showers for 50 cents. I paid €5 for all day parking, which is a good price and also a short walk from the beach.
