Just such a lovely place to stay, in summer it will be so cool as it is mainly under the earth and in winter there is a cosy fireplace. Can sleep 10, but it was €32 for two people, so very reasonable. Fully functioning kitchen, two bathrooms, washing machine, outdoor bbq, great wifi and tv. Good location, short walk to heart of town & very clean. The host was super welcoming!
Another unexpected stop. In the top of the town there is this small village where a few people still live in the Caves. The museum is very very interesting and is possible to visit a few houses where people still live. There is also a mirador. This is one of those places which can only be enjoyed in reality and its magic can't be captured in a picture.
Small but informative and well done with very informative staff. Worth the ticket price.
Quite cool how they build the homes into the mountains... no need for air conditioning... constant 20 degrees all year round
A great way to see what life would have been like in a cave house in times gone bye. The guide was very pleasant and informative, we were the first visitors of the day so she let us open the wooden door to the cave house with a very big key, after initially explaining everything about cave life she then spent time with us answering any questions we had before we continued on to the film show which explained all about how the caves are constructed. We then had lots of time to wander around all the rooms at our leisure which was fantastic . A place you must visit if you are in Guadix .
If you are at Granada. Should take a day trip to visit this beautiful small white village .
Interesting community of cave dwellers, visitors are able to look around at least two homes. Great views from the mirador.
Fabulous place to see the original cave homes

Surprising. Interesting cathedral with a mix of Roman and Baroque architecture. The bell tower is worth the hike, but be sure you are up for it: narrow stairs low ceilings. Be prepared.
Great visit with helpful staff Michelle spoke Spanish and English. Up the steps of 100 or more to the bell tower. Super view of the bells and view across the city.
The Cathedral of Guadix is truly amazing and it will cost you 5 euros, but worth it! The views from the top bell towers are spectacular and you can see the main road that leads in and out of town. The Alacazaba de Guadix is not far from here and a view of it can also be seen from the top of the bell towers. I highly recommend visiting along with walking around to see the troglodyte caves that are still in use.
Outrageous! €7 entry just for the cathedral – everything else like the tower and the entire surrounding area was closed. No info at the entrance, no warning when buying the ticket, just take the money and that's it. To me, this is nothing but a tourist scam. I genuinely feel ripped off.
Very solid and monumental structure with amazing architectural details. Must be seen to admire those times technologies and people who made it!
It was absolutely amazing
A really cool Gaudy inspired church built from 1915 to 1946, it's pink color is really beautiful and it's like a small Sagrada Familia
Amazing place inside and out. Located right in the heart of Guadix it's hard to miss. Standing right next to it you feel so insignificant and humble.

Lovely beautiful place. Recommend to take the little tourist bus to the caves. It's a must! And at the end of the tour you get a little glass of wine with bread and local olive oil!
Guadix is a town in the province of Granada that occupies part of an elevated plateau among the northern foothills of the Sierra Nevada. When I visited the town I thought it a rather quirky sort of place. I had driven there from Almería and as I approached the town it appeared to be set amidst a lunar landscape. The town centre is conventional enough. The Cathedral with its Baroque tower looked impressive from the outside but inside I felt that it was rather dark and gloomy. It stands in the Plaza de Constitución and this area of the town, the Barrio de Santiago, has many fine buildings. There are two other districts in Guadix - the Barrio de Santa Ana and the Barrio de la Cuevas. The Barrio de Santa Ana is the old Moorish quarter that consists of a network of narrow alleyways with whitewashed house, decked out with floral arrangements. However, the most famous feature of the town is the cave dwellings in the Barrio de la Cuevas where around half the population live. When I visited the area, I thought that I was in a scene from 'The Lord of the Rings'! It was just like 'The Shire' - with little white chimneys poking out of the ground! The caves are not primitive dwellings, however but are a solution to the fierce heat of the Andalucian summer. The interior of the cave houses are cool in summer and warm in winter and have all the necessities of modern living - it is quite strange seeing television aerials on the little hillocks!

Cave house complex. Lovely but completely off the wall. Loved it.
If you have ever wanted to stay in a Spanish cave dwelling in the middle of nowhere, this is for you. The "Arabic Bath" is very nice. Beware of all the insects, they bite while you sleep.
Facilities where spot on and the bedroom was nice and cool 24-7 to sleep in 👍
Great Hamman...fantastic treatments available.
(Translated by Google) One of the best experiences. The cave was spotless. The service was incredible. Very close to Guadix. You can hike, stroll through the villages, or stay at the resort by the pool or in your own cave. There's no noise at all. A peaceful getaway. (Original) Una de las mejores experiencias. (Translated by Google) We booked a weekend stay through Booking. Our goal was to relax and enjoy nature. This place met all our expectations. The small hammam, despite being small, did its job, and the massage was incredible! It's a peaceful place yet close to places like the End of the World viewpoint and various hiking trails. José at the front desk is attentive, friendly, and professional, and he tells you places to visit, activities to do, and anything else you might need. A place I would definitely stay again! One thing I would object to, though, is that I would have liked a welcome gift, such as a bottle of water, some coffee capsules, or even some seasonal fruit, since the place doesn't have a bar/café.
(Translated by Google) What can I say? This is our second time here, and it continues to surprise us with how good it is and how comfortable it is. This year we went with Iker, my 4-year-old, and he fell in love with the place and the cave. He's already telling me when we'll be back... Everything is perfect, the service, very clean, and everything very well maintained. The Arab baths are absolutely gorgeous. In short, it's fantastic, and we'll definitely be back. It's a shame it's a bit far from where we're coming from.

The only drawback is that the living room and sofa are not very comfortable. (Translated by Google) Exceptional temple built in the period of the third Kingdom of Granada, the Christian, in the Granada Mudejar style, with Gothic elements, an exceptional Renaissance doorway, magnificent Mudejar armor and a four-sphere Renaissance vault made of wood over the head. Little remains of the rich original works of art, since in the civil war intolerant groups destroyed them or stole them if they were made of precious metals. Today it boasts some good modern altarpieces built in collaboration with the faithful. It is definitely worth a visit.
