Another amazing French Cathedral in yet another beautiful setting being Dol De Bretagne itself . I thoroughly enjoyed my day visiting . This particular Cathedral is dedicated to one Saint Samson . Outside you will see the Maen Vag a stone trough which is a replica of the one Samson is said to have sailed across the channel in . Now that is cool . The unfinished tower at the front is said to have been damaged by the Devil himself when he hurled the Bretagne Menhir at the building !!! (Between you and me funds to build it ran out ) I prefer the first tale myself . In the center of the town you will be directed by a statue of Samson I believe pointing you in the direction of truth and light and this marvellous building .
A stunning cathedral that breathes the story of history and of Saint Samson, the founder of Brittany. We were lucky—during our visit, a local musician was playing the bagpipes, making the experience not only visually impressive but also musically unforgettable. The only downside was that we hadn’t planned the visit in advance, so we didn’t manage to find Saint Samson’s tomb. Maybe next time…
The architecture outside and inside is breathtaking. A solid marble boat stands outside. Marvellous water cascade runs parallel to the steps
Interestingly different. Not the most beautiful cathedral but it had fortifications and a lot of character
Wow, must visit this cathedral when in Bretagne. Stunning even though there is some renovations work going on the outside. Glad we made the stop and took the chance to explore and understand the stained glass windows, architecture and some of the relics from various saints and ages.
Very interesting information. The hike starts at the tourist office and has information along the way. All the posters are in English as well as French and explain a lot about the history of the village and its buildings. The cathedral itself is one of the highlights, it functioned both as a cathedral as well as part of the ramparts, which made it quite unique.
Such a beautiful cathedral, one of the oldest in the country. Well worth a visit
Beautiful a must see place to anyone who visits the town.

Beautiful, peaceful place to visit. Visitors trickled in and stayed only a short time. Picnic benches available. Very limited parking on the side of the road but wasn't a problem for us. Visited early. In awe with the time the stone was placed there. So hard to comprehend. Left with many questions!
Small area, but amazing to see. Not much places to park, you need to park on the side of the road.
The biggest menhir in Bretagne, standing 10 m tall. The only stone there. If you're into this sort of things then it's worth a visit. Parking on the verge of the road, a few picnic tables there too.
Accessible by car only and no parking space on the spot. Wouldn't say it's worth the detour but it's nice to see.
Nice place, car parking along the road. Nice quick stop, good place for a picknick.
If you like big rocks, this rocks, and is the biggest.
An amazing Menhir that sits in the middle of nowhere and actually looks like a whale on close inspection
Massive standing stone - 4 to 5,000 yrs old - give your blessings and have a picnic

Great concept and well worth a visit simply to see the scale models of European cathedrals.
Small museum about architecture and a temporary exhibition about Solomon ROSSINE during summer Holliday.
A really interesting and informative tourist attraction. We went with our three year old and to be honest, he got a little bored so I would recommend this place for children of 5 years and above.
Very interesting. See how a cathedral is built and maintained and visit the cathedral afterwards... Great combination!
Lovely little village
Amazing to learn how these vast buildings were erected without mechanization.
A sense of peace and wonder

Great experience although all in French. Incredible knowledge of both moule farming & sea creatures. Worth wearing wellies!!
What a fabulous trip, really enjoyed it. Even though its all in French you still get the gist of everything going on, the children loved it & you get to see looks of different sea creatures.
Amazing experience! Loved the idea💡, very friendly people ! It is great to see the sea 🌊 in a different angle, very good to learn, kids loved it! (And they rent boots!)
Excellent trip, would def recommend. Need prior booking to avoid disappointment. Trip starts at the beach at the designated time of the day depending on the tide. The tractor takes you to the low tide area in the middle of the sea and you get down without shoes in muddy waters. Part of the fun. (In summer) else you get boots. Once down you explore the farming and lovely lady explains about the history in French. I had Google translator and could see it translate live and got most of the part without issues. Saw lot of fish and my six year old son loved it. He now wants to take fishing as his job! Trip back after an hour or two with a coLd apple juice to finish. Overall def a great experience.
Excellent excursion.
Great trip - unusual experience
Really good fun, kids loved it. Be prepared to get your feet wet to enjoy it fully. If your French is a little rusty do ask for the English transcription before the 'train' leaves. Also book in advance as it's usually full in summer and depends on the tides.
It's as crazy as it sounds - you sit on a (covered) cart and get hauled by a tractor out into the bay, stopping at a fish trap and mussel beds. What's not to like? Bear in mind that the commentary is in French. But it's a fine trip even if you're struggling to understand.

I've finally found a place in Bretagne that serves a delightful pint of Guiness. Friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit, and I'll be back for more!
Beautiful location and friendly helpful staff. We had the platter for €18 of meats and cheeses. It was ok. Prob a bit disappointing as neither the meats and cheeses were particularly special. The worst of it was it was served with sliced bread toasted on just one side. Why? Surely a baguette in France???! Oh the toilet was pretty with stone walls and very clean. The coffee was good too. My advice - come for a drink and enjoy the atmosphere.
Stopped briefly whilst passing through town. Enjoyed a refreshing orangina and a charcuterie plate. Absolutely hit the the snack spot ! Friendly staff and well priced.
Very useful bar/ cafe in Dol with sensible prices and a wide range of beers. Good service.
Was recommended here to watch the euros, great atmosphere and friendly English speaking staff, the toast and meat nibbles looked nice what others were ordering
Good place to chill out and enjoy a coffee, pettite cafe creme 2.50 euros.Toiletometer...8/10.
The bartender with the moustaches should change job, he is rude as if he was doing you a favor.
It's a very nice town centre bar in an excellent location where you can sit outside in the sun. Wide selection of beers - there seemed to be an emphasis on local breweries. Not really an eating place, but you can get a snack to go with your beer or coffee.

Bowling alley

We were stopping at Les Ormes down the road and saw this place whilst visiting the supermarket. Had a great time. Pleasant welcome. Really quiet at 5:30pm on Thursday. 2 games played for 4 adults including shoe hire for everyone was €40 which we thought was very reasonable. Lots of pool tables and two snooker tables as well as electronic darts boards and a few other gaming machines. Interior is well presented, though the cartoons on the walls alongside the bowling alley were a little odd in subject matter! Overall really enjoyable.
Very expensive and chaotic. 90 euros for renting two allies for just one hour... and the pricing list is very vague!!
The bowling is okay but the food is mediocre and took way too long. We were with 5 hungry kids.
They could serve as a school model for rudeness.
Perfect place to enjoy in a grup
(Translated by Google) Of course we were parked where we shouldn't be but we weren't planning to stay just long enough for laundry and lunch. To the attention of this gentleman who yelled at us from his window, your parking lot is not closed and it was outside your opening hours If you want motorists to stay out of YOUR parking lot, close it! Asking us to leave could have been done simply without insulting us, I pity the staff who work for you Sir, In view of all the opinions you are very aggressive which I can confirm. In addition, we had just spoken to one of your employees who allowed us to finish our meal even though we wanted to leave. Is this irritation or is it normal to have so many spelling mistakes? Moreover, it is madam and not sir.
(Translated by Google) One star, because you can't give it a zero. Parked for barely 15 minutes on a Sunday to feed my daughter in the company's open parking lot, a moment of peace and quiet ruined by a lunatic who came out of the building and asked us to leave, as if we were squatting in the empty lot. Contemptuous behavior, not a shred of common sense or humanity. Apparently, this is company policy, given the dozens of similar reviews. If you're looking for a welcoming place, move on: here, arrogance is clearly a company value. Put up barriers if you're not happy.
(Translated by Google) Place that deserves a little renovation. The pins fall before we even shoot. Some pins are not even set. The welcome is not very pleasant, and sometimes even borderline (cold, unjustified informality). (Original) Endroit qui mériterait un petit coup de neuf. Les quilles tombent avant même que l'on ai tiré. Certaines quilles ne sont même pas posees. L'accueil n'est pas très agréable, et parfois même limite (froid, tutoiement injustifié).
