Big open area very chill and cool if you're next to the ground popping fountains, happiness everywhere kids running around, and right next to beautiful nature and big trees as well as next to stores and buildings 🌻
A very large market square with shops and restaurants around the sides, we visited on Thursday and there was a good number of stalls in one corner of the space selling apparel
Lovely square of with the fountains. Easy to sit and watch. The flower displays are lovely.
Very large place with a vibrant atmosphere
The largest market square in Germany, very nice, underground parking available for a not so decent fee. Kinderplatz is also available, quite modern and well equipped.
Beautiful small town surrounded by Black Forest (dense pine trees forest). This is one of the place which most of European senior citizens will come for their vacation. Almost all building, old and new, have beautiful facade and decorated with beautiful blooming flowers. Have variety of shops selling good products. For moslems, there are several halal restaurants and cafes established by Turks and Indian moslems.
A beautiful square with shops and cafes surrounding it. There is no fee to go here. There are fountains which go off and on, great for a hot day to run in and out of if you dare! A great place to wander the time away
Every of Europe's city possess squares / platz.... for the citizens to gather and celebrate.... Marktplatz Freudenstad is one among them.... Decorated with spectacular floral gardens enhance it's beauty. The square is surrounded by numerous restaurants supplying the local taste.... and of course a church open all the time for the public for personal prayers...without which no European towns exist.

Indoor & outdoor swimming pools in leisure complex with sauna area, massage service & restaurant.

Really very very nice swimming pool with very big swimming pool for swimmers and 3 small pools for kids. Also nice wellness center with many small pools with salt or cold water or hot watter.👍
Great for the kids and good for adults some really cool features especially in spa area it is a little pricey and have to pay extra for the spa area but is enjoyable although cost limits regular visits for us as a family
Never seen so many people in my life!!! People with 2 years old baby's in the sauna (not even sure it's safe/healthy!), the "Gotten" are crowded (people stay for ages while there is other people waiting) and to top it, groups playing with balls in the pool... I mean, I can understand it may be a good option for families on a rainy day but then it's FAR from relaxing... We paid a 3 hour entrance and stayed less than 90 minutes...
Very fun, American friendly. Great for the kids
Small and old saunabereich. All other areas are overcrowded and look like a kindergarten.
Excellent indoor swimming pool, with a separate area for children's play and swim. Also a separate diving pool with 1m, 3m and 5m towers, as well as an interesting climbing wall up to 5m tall with a water jump. In addition, there are 2 fantastic speed slides. For an extra fee, there are also hot baths and sauna. Overall, great 2-3 hours of active fun with children.
I have been coming here for the last 35 years. Great sports complex with excellent indoor and outdoor swimming facilities. Sauna, wellness area, steam grotto and water slides. There is a restaurant attached that can be utilized both from the pool side and the outside. Food is good, prices are higher than in other restaurants, but nothing unusual for a location like this. There is special pricing available for students and some other groups. Families can get a discount too. You can go for free on your birthday and under 3 year olds are free too. Parking is free. Great fun! I will be back!
This place is amazing. There is a restaurant you can order from at the pool. You can drink a beer next to the pool and eat curry wurst! Kids are not free and you pay by the hour. It helps if you speak German, but everyone is very nice. Most people do speak English. The food is awesome, basically everything is good, and they do have regional dishes from that area. There are multiple pools and two water slides! Very fun! Make sure to pay extra for the vitality area! There are several mini gratis with pools at different temperatures including very hot to ice water. It has a steam room and a large pool with different jets and bubblers. You have to experienced to believe it! Awesome!

(Translated by Google) Freudenstadt's market square boasts a beautiful town church—the Evangelische Stadtkirche, located at Marktplatz 35. Built in the early 1600s, it boasts a unique, sharp-angled design, a rarity. Inside, there are period features, such as an old pulpit, a Gothic cross, and a baptismal font. The church is actively used, hosting services, concerts, and various events. There's parking in front of the church, and parking is often free in the evenings and on weekends. If you're in Freudenstadt, I highly recommend stopping by and seeing this interesting and historic church.

Fantastic view of the Black Forest. It’s usually not crowded. To reach this place, you can park your car near Kniebishütte (parkplatz Mückenloch) and walk for ten minutes to this viewpoint. Highly recommended!
Nice little stop to make while exploring the Black Forest. Plan on 30 minutes to an hour to enjoy this area and.walk around the trails a bit. Platform view is a beautiful scenic view of the valley below.
Really nice forest walks, well defined paths and a decent car park with no charge! Our visit coincidentally happened when renovation work was undertaken so we didn't experience the full opportunity. However the region is very wonderful nonetheless.
It was a great place to visit off the beaten track in the black forest. It's worth the trip through the small villages and walking tracks in the forest to get there.
Very easy walk from the free parking, only maybe 5-7 minutes. Nice view on even a cloudy or foggy day. Large and stable platform.
What a view across the Black Forest! Well worth the detour and 500-metre walk along the forest path good directions for wheelchair- and pushchair-friendly access
Empty till 10 am, this become nicely crowded around noon. Start a quick 10 minute descent down to the local lake here and enjoy the forest.
Great view of the Black Forest & only a short walk from the car park :)

Such a fun place the kids didn’t want to leave! A bit of a smaller museum, but very interactive. The staff was nice and the guy at the counter spoke English very well. We were given notes to translate the information for each station and a number of the activities also had English instructions attached. It was really a good time! Would recommend and will probably go back again in the future.
Lovely revamped market square with parking in side streets. good quality eating places on perimeters of square. Water features to interact with on both sides. Nice feel to town, clean well located with black forest. We enjoyed a whole rest day here.
It’s always great to ply around with physics. A good place to educate yourself and your kids. The expositions are a bit old and the whole building would highly benefit from a make over. Still enjoyed it.
Worth a visit if you have children. Otherwise the museum is resident in a run down building. To bad that this sort of education sets on such poor settings. Otherwise the few hands on scientific experiences are much fun for kids. One star for the jar and additional three for what's in it. I wouldn't cross the seas to come here, but if you are here this place probably belongs on your to do list.
Fun museum to visit with small children. Lots of experiments to try. Bit smaller than expected but good for 1h to 1h30. Free parking at the backside of the museum ! It opens 11h00.
It's a small but well organized experience lab for children but for grown-ups as well. Especially during a rainy day you can spent a lot of time there.
This was brilliant and, although much was aimed at kids, we thoroughly enjoyed the interactive exhibits and learned a bit. A highlight of our tour of northern Europe.
Excellent museum Very interesting But very noisy because there were a lot of kids Staff very nice

Steak house
Restaurant
Rustic space offering Swabian dishes like spaetzle, plus steak cooked at the table on a hot stone.

The food is excellent. The restaurant is a little bit small but the dishes and the atmosphere were extraordinary.
Spectacular food, great service. Good prices. Stay for dessert--the homemade Windbeutel are especially good!
Very good service! Very Patience with the tourists and kids
I really enjoyed my time here. The food was delicious, the staff was super kind and the menu had enough options, but not so many that you get confused. Perfect restaurant in my opinion
A very cozy and interesting restaurant. Very friendly waitresses. I ordered a Rump-steak in a stone. The brought me a steak in a stone heated at 350 C and I grilled my steak and veggies giving a very particular and delicious taste. 👍highly recommend
Phenomenal food. Wonderful regional specialties and excellent steaks. Don't leave without trying the Windbeutel for dessert!
Massive, juicy and tasty 🤤 steaks.. medium rare was on point and so were to Saute potatoes🥔.. my new go to place for a steak.
Steaks are good but there should be something more on the side dishes. And service was too slow.
