You do need to visit this place! You can visit for free and there is a toilet at the car park uphill (Maybe car par 1) . Also, they have a car park downhill (2) near the beach but no toilet! Amazing historical and panorama view!
Very interesting site, quite a large area and very pretty scenery
Very impressed! This place is open every day but on Tuesdays and free of charge! They have excellent facilities (toilet, water fountains), guides who are in different points ready to answer your historical questions, an amazing free app with an audio guide whose narrator is a merchant who arrives to the town some days after Aristotle died... The views are stunning, the ruins have enough information and there are benches to rest, trees providing shade. Some areas aren't great for people with reduced mobility though but with strong helpers you can visit almost of all it even on wheels.
Steeped in history, this significant archaeological site, with strong indications for the tomb of Aristotle, offers an incredibly enriching experience. It's free to enter and you can explore Ancient Stageira city through well-maintained walking paths over the hill, guided by helpful signs with explanations. Recently, they've even added information to a special mobile app that enhances your discovery as you walk, though you'll also find friendly staff on hand. For summer visits, avoid peak temperatures and be sure to wear comfortable shoes and sun protection (hat, sunscreen), and take water with you. The view from the site is amazing, and while there are wonderful beaches nearby, be aware they can get quite crowded.
Great place for walking and sute seeing, before all educational.
Free entrance. Toilet at entrance, signs, guides all over the place. Nice view.
Beautiful place for walk and very nice view on sea and coast...
Free entry. Toilet at the entrance. Pedestrian paths with explanatory boards. Interesting for walking and sightseeing. Nice view. It's worth a visit.

Nice small waterfall. With some efforts one can get closest to it and take a bath ! Crystal clear water ! Small salmons around can be noticed. Getting there by car: road not the best, but possible. Best to use 4 weel drive.
Don't worry about the other reviews saying they broke their car or had difficulty on the dirt road. It seems they have recently started building a new trail for the waterfalls and have improved the road as well. We had absolutely no issue with a regular car, there is plenty of room to pass oncoming traffic and we saw both a fiat panda and a (very low) Porsche at the parking lot so it's very doable. No worries with the navigation as well. If coming from the direction of Olympiada, just follow the google maps directions and you'll be fine. Waterfall is worth it, bring your swimsuit and a towel - very refreshing for a bath. If you have the time, the village of Varvara closeby is beautiful and also very worth a visit
About 3 km of dirt road from main road. Not too bad, but not for every car. From main parking, there is short walk. The place is fantastic, there are wooden bridges and stairs so you can arrive safely. Beautiful waterfall, definitely worth time visiting.
A refreshing experience recommended for mid day hours when the sun is too hot for the beach. Short trip in the woods on clear paths, cold waters with small fishes and crabs. Children will love it. Very nice forest smell and birds sounds. Do not miss.
The last bit of 2.3km dirt road before the waterfall is easy to drive with a normal car. At the end of the road, there is parking for about six cars and more smaller parking spots further away. It is a lovely waterfall that was flowing strong when we were there. On a Sunday, it can get quite busy as there was a large tourist bus with about 40 people and also about 10 individual cars. The bus left again at about noon.
Very nice atmosphere, cleanliness and surrounding nature. The "hike" is not too long and hard, but prepare some sunscreen, sunglasses and hats. Try to go in times during the work week so you avoid the groups of people usually there - not problematic per se but it gets easily crowded at the waterfall itself due to limited towel and sitting space around all the massive rocks. The water is crystal clear and relatively cold and refreshing. If you're going by car, make sure it is high enough from the ground because there are a lot of rocks on the way. ALWAYS take the route to Olympiada - do not try to follow the "shorter" route that Google or Waze suggests, because you will end up in the quarry...
For people living in southern Europe regions these waterfalls, only present during the colder and rainy seasons, might be an astonishing, amazing sight. I imagine how they would freak out during a hike through some random mountain forest in the Alps. For us, having our home in this mountain region of mid-Europe the Varvara are regular nice waterfalls, nothing special, no definite must-see, but nice anyway. We spotted some fresh-water crabs in the area and could watch them for a while. There is the possibility of hiking further, we saw some trails through the woods. The very bumpy dirt road to reach the site was the most spectacular thing during this trip, it was sort of a fun adventure for us in particular, but other people will not find this so funny. The road is possible to master with a regular non-SUV rental car but you need to be careful and a bit skilled. There is not too much space for cars but one could also park to the side of the road.
Amazing place, and the road is okay. It is accessible with any car, we came with Corsa and didn't have any problems. I wrote this review just because there are plenty of people saying here you need a 4-wheel drive, you don't need it, so just relax, drive slowly and you will be good. Also, there were people saying that the walking path is not safe.... It's more than safe and they did a great job building it, easily accessible.
