Princeton University is a world-class institution renowned for academic excellence, cutting-edge research, and a close-knit community. With inspiring faculty, innovative programs, and abundant resources, it cultivates intellectual curiosity and leadership. Princeton empowers students to achieve extraordinary personal and professional growth, making it a truly transformative educational experience.
Princeton University is a private Ivy League university located in Princeton, New Jersey. It was founded in 1746 as the College of New Jersey and is one of the oldest in the U.S. Princeton is ranked among the top universities in the world, and is best known for its rigorous academics, prestigious alumni network, and of course, as its well proclaimed beautiful campus. Princeton offers a broad range of academic programs, with majors ranging from humanities, social sciences, economics, and engineering. Its campus is absolutely beautiful. It consists of various large extensive buildings and structures all throughout the walking area. It is very much common to see students alike and tourists taking photos of such aforementioned structures because of their voluminous space and architecture. Princeton's undergraduate curriculum is based on a liberal arts foundation, requiring students to take courses in a variety of disciplines. As stated on their respective website: 4 years of English 4 years of Mathematics 4 years of one foreign language 2 Years of Laboratory science 2 Years of History Princeton also offers a variety of financial aid programs to help students make college affordable. Not only that, but undergraduates also have the opportunity to conduct independent research, often under the mentorship of Princeton's world-renowned faculty. All in all, Princeton University is a world-class institution that offers students the opportunity to receive a rigorous education and learn from some of the best minds in the world. It is a community where students can grow and thrive, and make lifelong friends from all over the world in an environment where young minds are constantly being challenged and older minds are seeking to serve and teach their years' worth of knowledge. If you are a high school student who is interested in attending Princeton, you should start planning early. Princeton has a very competitive admissions process, and it is important to have strong grades, and extracurricular activities in progress while you still have time. In addition to that, I definitely recommend visiting the campus and talking to current students to learn more about the university, student life, and its unique culture it portrays.
Really beautiful campus. I stopped by here and don't regret anything. I loved walking around and seeing all the different buildings and dorms. It was actually gorgeous. There is a gift shop as well. I recommend !
Gorgeous campus for a peaceful stroll. A few gentle hills and plenty of beauty all around. If you are visiting and want to explore, you cannot go wrong with an aimless meander. Many excellent food and shopping choices in town. Definitely one of the most beautiful American college campuses.
Wonderful campus. Brand new art museum. Free entrance, free guided tours.
It's beautiful!! It's amazing to walk around the campus. It has a very Hogwarts magical vibe. The buildings, the built and everything about this place has a history (the good and the bad). It almost feels like having a connection with that history while you walk through this place.
This is a very old school with charm and beautiful architecture. I just walked through the campus, but it was quite lovely. I cannot attest to the education, but from what the school has posted everywhere, it seemed like a very “where are your papers?” university, which is quite something. I will not doc any stars because of it, but I was not allowed in the university chapel because of it (only students, faculty, or staff allowed)- I know it’s a private school, but I thought these places were supposed to be open to all, like their predecessors in England like Cambridge or Oxford.
Such a beautiful campus. This is a campus that one would love to study, not only for its academic reasons but just being in the atmosphere surrounding the campus. Great old buildings and greenery.

An absolute gem right in the heart of Princeton! The Princeton University Art Museum is free to visit and offers an incredible collection that rivals larger city museums. What really sets it apart, though, is how thoughtfully it engages the community—especially kids! They offer fantastic children’s programs that are both educational and fun, making it a perfect spot for families. Whether you’re an art lover, a parent looking for enriching activities, or just someone exploring Princeton, this museum is a must-visit. With its world-class exhibits, welcoming atmosphere, and easy access from nearby roads and the heart of campus, it’s truly one of the area’s greatest treasures.
I was eager to see the museum in its new footprint for years, and finally had a chance to go a week after it officially reopened. The new space is beautifully curated. Many open spaces to gather, inside and out. Sharing in the enthusiasm of so many other art lovers was electric. Since we didn’t have a lot of time, we prioritized the temporary exhibits and a few specific pieces in the permanent collections that we like to “visit.” The best thing about this museum is that it is free for all, providing access to the arts for everyone in the community.
The permanent collection here is extensive and worth the visit, ence the five stars. However, I'm not impressed by the new building and how the collection is presented. You can spend a couple of hours and be already owerwhlmed by the space. Try the restaurant on the 3rd floor if that is the case. There's no clear flow between the galleries, the architecture here is imposing and a lot of times distracting, too many different textures, everywhere. The precast alone would have been fine.
I went to the grand opening very early this morning (around one am) and it was still lively and bustling with visitors! The actual exhibits were a lot bigger than I expected, though they lacked the museum-typical chronological structure. For example, I spent a solid twenty minutes just looking for a certain exhibit. But, overall, I loved the collections they had, and it was a great experience! 🐈‍⬛🏛️
The newly renovated Princeton University Art Museum is stunning. The space feels open, modern, and thoughtfully designed, with art from around the world displayed in a way that’s both inspiring and easy to explore. From Japanese prints and Roman sculptures to vibrant South Asian and Mesoamerican pieces, every gallery feels fresh and engaging. A world-class museum experience right in Princeton—highly recommended.
There is so much to see and it's done well. They have a restaurant/cafe up on the 3rd floor we did not try it but the atmosphere looked nice. A true gem on campus highly recommend. It was pretty busy for a Friday morning. Bathrooms are clean and place is very accessible.
Beautiful building on a beautiful campus. A hidden jewel that I am continually amazed that so many Mercer’s county residents have never made a visit? Spend a beautiful afternoon with your kids or other loved ones or solo (even better) viewing enjoying taking in a lot of history. Something for everyone where humanity is joined. I am not sure about the logic of the layout but it was easy to get around. Will have to go back for another visit soon and see how different that experience is. Thanks to all the benefactors who made this possible. History is right in front of your nose!
It was a long 5-year wait but the renovations are very nice. The collection is amazing! I was a frequent visitor in the original building and I look forward to visiting often again!

Primary Trust There’s a quiet power in simplicity on stage. Understated storytelling doesn’t shout for your attention, but before you know it, you’re drawn in hooked by the small moments and gentle rhythms that somehow leave the deepest mark. Characters who seem naive or unassuming at first glance often end up the most compelling, especially as they’re nudged by new experiences or stay rooted in what feels safe. That slow, believable evolution is what makes live theater linger long after the curtain falls. That’s exactly what happens in “Primary Trust,” the Pulitzer-winning play now running at Princeton’s McCarter Theatre. The plot centers on a gentle, habit-bound man, played with quiet intensity and unguarded heart by Deshawn Harold Mitchell whose world starts to shift, bit by bit, as life pushes him to open up. Playwright Eboni Booth keeps his journey grounded, layering in fresh challenges and flashes of clarity that let his universe expand just enough to feel real, never forced. The supporting cast is equally impressive. Lilian Oben moves effortlessly between roles, making each character pop with their own energy and soul. Peter Bisgaier brings a lightness that cuts through the tension at just the right moments. And Shane Taylor, as Kenneth’s steadfast imaginary friend, is the anchor he clings to for over two decades until, finally, he steps aside and lets Kenneth find his own way. What sticks with me most is how the production wrestles with memory, loss, and the marks our past leaves on us. There’s an honesty in the way it shows how reaching out even after years of loneliness can rewrite the story we think we’re stuck with. McCarter Theatre has a knack for these kinds of shows: the ones you keep turning over in your mind long after the applause fades. Hats off to the entire cast and crew for a performance that turned an ordinary night into something quietly extraordinary. Bravo.
A good theatre, a beautiful hall, I really liked the audience. They were incredibly warm in their reception of the jazz ensemble « The Hot Sardines ». The staff is very polite and tactful. There is a parking lot nearby, and you can also park on the neighbouring streets.
Very clean, inclusive, kind, and brings lots of high quality diverse shows. Love everyone working from this theatre 🩵🩵🩵
Wonderful theaters to see excellent performances in music, theater, dance and many other types of show. Top quality performers in two great theaters with excellent seating at affordable prices. And in Princeton so fine dining plentiful nearby and walking distamce to Princeton University campus for beautiful walks before or after performances. No need to deal with travel to NYC or Philly, traffic and parking. There is even free theater parking. I am a subscriber for their season tickets. Always something worth seeing on the schedule.
I see a lot of shows at McCarter every year, and I really love how they’re not afraid to take creative risks with their work! Even though I haven’t enjoyed every single play or musical, I truly appreciate the effort and artistry that go into each production. I also love that McCarter includes dance performances--the company does a wonderful job blending different creative elements and keeping their programming fresh and exciting! 🐈‍⬛🎭
I went here to see Heather Headley tonight. Word to the wise... get there early if you're looking to park close. They have probably 10 spots right in front. So I was told you can park on the street or their parking deck 4 mins away. Nice place inside. The seats are a little low. May be uncomfortable if you're tall. Princeton train station is about 2 blocks away, walking distance. Nice area near Princeton University.
Very well designed seat layout in relation to stage visibility. Good acoustics. Comfortable seats, roomy enough. Parking is a little bit of walk but it is a beautiful walk also.
The perfect ‘small’ theatre. Not a bad seat in the house. Great acoustics. Service, staff, parking etc all excellent.

Try good day outing option in and around Princeton. Healthy does of green landscapes, farm animals, play area, pony rides, and wine tasting available. This place offers something for kids and adults alike. All in all a great family activity option in spring and summer.
Kids and adults can enjoy the varied play areas and animals, like chickens, goats, and wild birds. There is a woodland trail that has three diverging paths for the nature-lovers. It's cashless, so be sure to have a card ready for any purchases, including pumpkin painting and the farm shop. What an absolutely great farm. Apple cider and apple cider donuts are fantastic!! The pies and wines are great. There are events almost all year long, based on everything from peaches to strawberries to sunflowers. The events include extras like a bubble show that the kids will really enjoy, special foods and wines, face painting, and other activities. Their autumn festivities are fun, varied, and have lots of room. Walk through the fields or pick a pumpkin for Halloween. Enjoy seasonal pick-your-own fruits, or stop by their general store for pre-packaged goods.
The tour was good if you go in a group like a field trip. You get a guided tour, but I saw others that they had one kid with them (mostly dad's) and they seemed to be on their own. Everything was good
Apple cider and apple cider donuts are fantastic!! The pies and wines are great. Their autumn festivites are fun, varied, and have lots of room. It's cashless, so be sure to have a card ready for any purchases, including pumpkin painting and the farm shops.
Very pleasant orchard. Visited over memorial day weekend. Had live music, puck your own asparagus, farm stands with house made wine tasting flights and other eats. $7 for 6 apple cider donuts.
What a beautiful place. We were there for my son proposing to his girlfriend. The weather was great and we had a very nice time there. They did a great job with parking us and the variety of items you could purchase very immense!!! The entrance fee was pricey but a very nice venue!
In May, I saw this farm in an Instagram reel for strawberry picking, but I didn’t get around to stopping by for strawberry picking, so I came for apple picking instead The fall festival was fun, though admission to the Terhune Orchards is expensive, but it is nice going to if you have the money to splurge and good company to go with
Had an awesome time at this apple orchard. It’s a great spot for families and honestly just a solid place to spend the day. Everyone there was friendly and welcoming, and the whole setup was clean, organized, and easy to get around. You can tell they take pride in the place and actually care about people having a good experience. The apple picking was fun and the food was way better than expected. Fresh pies, warm cider, and plenty of options for both kids and adults. The beverages were great too, especially the cider and local stuff you don’t find everywhere. It’s the kind of place you could make a yearly tradition. Good food, good people, and a laid back atmosphere that just makes you want to stay a while. Definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for something fun and relaxing to do with the family.

One of the best public libraries I have been to! Third floor is for kids and young adults. The second floor has a lot of quiet spaces and the entire library has tons of amenities. You do not have to have a library ID to use the facilities but strongly recommend you get one if you live in the area. Clean and well organized. Check out the bullet for community events!
This library is a true pleasure for book lovers and those looking for a productive workspace. The spacious and beautiful environment creates a pleasant atmosphere, and the numerous computers make it an excellent place for studying and working. There are also conference rooms available for meetings or group study sessions. Cleanliness is top-notch – the restrooms are always well-maintained and pleasant. The staff is very friendly and always ready to help. An added bonus is the café on the first floor, where you can grab a snack or enjoy a coffee during a break. The only major downside is parking. Finding a spot can be challenging, but if you have a library card, you supposedly get 2 hours of free parking, which is very convenient. However, to obtain a library card, you must be a resident of the area. Overall, this library is a fantastic place for work, study, and reading, as long as you don’t mind the parking challenges.
Hands DOWN one of the best libraries in NJ! I’ve experienced many other libraries in NJ & different states, but this one by far is still at the top of my list! I use to bring my kids here over 6 years ago & it’s still just as amazing, but with new technology, opportunities etc… A couple fun features I love & learned about…Free parking within 30 minutes, self validated parking for library card holders for 2 hours, cute library merch, self checkout kiosks, a library store featuring donated books of many genres, CD’s, DVD’s, starting at just $1 & up, charging outlets ALL over the library, lovely outdoor sitting area on the 3rd floor, also a cool teen section, lots of comfortable seating on every floor, the cafe is still going strong, offering many food/drink options, assistive listening technology, tons of pamphlets for community & library programming, lastly the children’s section is a wonderland of imagination & learning fun, they even have these mini shopping carts for lil people shopping! Last but not least, the staff is just as pleasant & positive as ever! This list isn’t half of what the library offers. But like I wrote above, It’s HANDS DOWN the Best NJ Library..can’t wait to visit again!
This is where I like to tuck in when the cafes and streets are bustling with students or tourists. Three floors (although the third floor is currently closed for cleaning-week of Oct 6th, 2025) of books and workspace. Stairs and elevators to get you access of the building. Bathrooms and water stations on each floor. Main entrance has a small cafe as well (please note the cage doesn’t have electric plugs at its tables for working space). You can reserve conference rooms but must sign up in advance. $20/hr. Library cards have perks like free 30min blocks I believe but you need to be a resident of the county and show proof of. I felt a little out of place taking calls for work but no complaints from anyone nearby. People seem to really spread out here. It’s a beautiful library and well organized and very clean (side note- it also gets a ton of natural light which is lovely midday)
Beautiful library with kind and helpful staff. Mrs. Friberg helped my son take his summer class test. With support from both his professor at UT Austin and Mrs. Friberg, everything went smoothly and stress-free for him. Thanks a million!
The Princeton Public Library is a wonderful place to read, learn, and gather. It has a wide selection of books, movies, and other materials, as well as a variety of programs and events for all ages. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the library is always clean and well-maintained. Parking is metered. You get library card without charge if you are student at Princeton , live in Princeton or are a teacher. For others it is subscription based.
Very neat and clean, well organized library. It is spread over two floors with a special section for children. The best part is that the library is open seven days a week. Plenty of reading space with chess and puzzle tables, scanners, computers, printers and digital search stations placed all over the library. It is open to the public but books can be issued only by members.
Aumma on the second floor is a great asset to the Princeton Library. She was very helpful, knowledgeable, and made my library visit so much easier today. Five-star service with a smile! Thank you!

This chapel is simply stunning, beautifully built and maintained over the years. You need to visit it to appreciate it. Entry is free, though you need to maintain decorum and follow rules. Part of broader Princeton university campus, this chapel adds to the charm. The place holds historic and logic significance.
Has a lot of cool stuff and sounds. I love the organ sounds! They have a lot to them. This is a really good chapel!
Very friendly people here and the church is beautiful. I'm not religious at all but I still like going to the music events and relaxing. Highly reccomend.
Sacred and solemn—it gives you an almost unbelievable feeling. Highly recommended for a visit.
Great building Gothic style They added to that with low light and music in there
Amazing campus where the old world meets the new.
As one of the largest collegiate chapels in the world the Princeton University Chapel certainly lives up to its heritage. Grand, striking and inviting. My friend and I stop by for a visit and to our great surprise the Oregon player was practicing which was really nice. We had a chance to sit in and admire the architecture.
A beautiful, architecturally exceptional, humbling, solemn and enveloping space… even for someone who isn’t religious. The stained glass is glorious. At a certain time each day the sun shines directly through the windows and the grand sandstone walls on the opposite side become joyously illuminated (see one of the photos I posted here). Every detail inside and out was thoughtfully designed and executed by craftspeople, inspired by European architecture. A docent shared that the pinecones sculpted into the exterior are a nod to the Pine family who helped pay the $2.5 million for its construction. This is a treasure surrounded by other architectural treasures you want to see!
