The first time in my life that I have seen a lot of firearms. It is so exciting with a lot of design, a lot of size and a lot of unique things that I like them so much The receptionist Author is so kind and nice that gave me a great mood to get in the museum and have a fantastic time Certainly, I will be back more often with my friends from another states This is a stop we have to visit when you in Fairfax Virginia
Such a great museum, laid out in a timeline of the history of guns, lots of great history on display Easy to get to from the highway Great day trip from Washington DC Check out the battlefields nearby too Drive right through the two buildings and park above the shooting range The museum is on the first floor of the West Tower (on the left)
Super interesting museum. Free entry and there is a lot of gun history info as well as displayed guns. Nice staff came around and talked to us about some of the displays and history of some of the guns. If you're into guns, would totally recommend this place!
Very interesting collection of firearms. There is also a number of displays that walk you through firearms development and technology from the past till now. The museum is free and there was plenty of parking.
This was my first time visiting this museum. And it is a free admission. Very quiet museum. Very organized. A museum made for gun lovers. I thoughtfully recommend it.The staff is friendly
Very interesting museum, have a historical guns the old and modern. Went with kinds, they enjoyed it. It is free to visit.
Good place to visit, plan of 3 to 4 hours to be able to see all of the exhibits. Free to go in, they accept donations.
Museum is free of charge and we went on a Saturday afternoon. There were 2 other families there so parking was great and since there weren’t a lot of people we didn’t feel rushed when looking at the exhibits.

First-time visit to EagleBank Arena to see Disney on Ice. It was a great experience. The George Mason University venue has plenty of seats and parking. The traffic control staff were fantastic, making entry and exit incredibly easy. Such a pleasant experience—I'll definitely be back!
Had a good experience at the Clipse concert earlier this month. Staff were all very friendly, parking was easy, and the layout of the venue was small enough to feel intimate. My only complaint is there were only two stands serving mixed drinks and the lines were 30+ minutes long. Other than that, had a great night!
Beautifully set up and wonderfully organized. Was at EagleBank Arena for my son's graduation. It was amazing to see my son walk. I see many wonderful opportunities this milestone will uncover for this bright and beautiful young man.
Recently went to a concert at Eagle Bank arena and bought tickets that said “obstructed view”. I took a gamble that paid off. These seats were not obstructed view at all and were absolutely amazing seats with a very close view of the talent on stage! This is a smaller venue at a college and wonderful for concerts! Absolutely love this place! I’ve also been here for Disney on Ice and this is a wonderful venue! Photo included so that you can see - this is section 116 (one of the upper rows) and we loved it. * Parking - I would like to say that parking here is an absolute dream compared to most venues in the DC area. If you get there early enough, you can park right in front of the venue (parking lot). But there is ample parking all around the venue and several lots. Parking is included in your concert ticket price which is an Added bonus! The traffic exiting the parking lots after the concert is very orderly and is controlled by police. The area is very safe. Remember this is a college campus at George Mason University. * DINING: There is a shopping center across the street from Eagle Bank Arena - right on Braddock Rd. , that includes several restaurants! You can just park in the Eagle Bank arena venue parking and take a very short walk across the street (go to the crosswalk at Braddock Rd. And just walk across). Grab a bite to eat before the concert at “Oh! George’s Tables & Taphouse” or any of the other restaurants in that shopping center. So convenient and such a good time!
🎟️ Disney on Ice: The Purse Chronicles 👜❄️ Let me tell you about my magical yet mildly traumatic night at EagleBank Arena 😂 The show? ✨ Absolutely incredible. The staff? Kind, professional, and full of Disney spirit. But BABYYYY when I tell you I got all the way to the front of the line just to be told “large purses are not allowed” 😭—I had to turn right back around, dump my essentials into my hands like I was running away from home, and trek ALL the way back to my car. And of course, my car was parked approximately 47 miles away (okay maybe not that far, but my knees said otherwise). By the time I made it back, Elsa had already let it go, Anna had found herself, and half the kingdom of Arendelle had healed emotionally. I missed 30 minutes of the show, y’all! But shoutout to the staff for keeping smiles on their faces and for not judging me as I came back sweating, clutching my lip gloss and keys like survival tools. 💅🏾 Oh—and those souvenir prices?! Let’s just say Mickey must be paying rent in Beverly Hills because… whew. 💸💸 Still 10/10 would go again—just with a Ziploc bag and a prayer next time. 😂❄️
Went here for the Disney on ice. The view from the stage was decent, section 104 row U. I'd recommend a closer section if going for one of these events. It's an older arena with older seats that are extremely tight in proximity. Bathrooms are clean, snacks are available.
Was great. Smaller venue, not a bad seat in the house. We were in the back, top row, could see fine. Staff was all great.
Great venue, but the audio for last night’s performance of Clipse + EARTHGANG was awful. I was on the floor, and I couldn’t understand them most of the time. Other people on the floor were talking to each other, questioning what was said by the DJ and openers. Some guy was yelling, “FIX THE AUDIO,” so it was definitely an issue that a bunch of people were annoyed by. Also, I read from online discussions that people at the seats were experiencing the same issue.

The seating in Orchestra is like a smaller version of the Kennedy Center. Every seat has a view of the stage. Smaller kids can see too but I recommend to carry a child seat from a car so kids can see better.
Went on a Saturday night for a jazz concert and had a great time. The campus and building were clean and easily navigable. Every seat in the house is a good one. It was a smaller venue and that was perfect for an intimate feeling. They serve light refreshments and the workers were friendly. Plenty of stalls in the ladies bathroom, but the men's was weirdly small, so there was a long line for them. Would definitely go again.
There was plenty of parking and we enjoyed the walk from Parking Lot K near the little pond. The traffic guards were helpful and we saw a deer! The theater is very big but I don’t love how high up some of the seats are because it’s difficult to see. All the ushers were so helpful. The show we saw was meant to be dark and so every time someone opened the side doors it was distracting when light came in. There are huge windows so they couldn’t prevent the light, which means the halls can also get really warm.
Nice, medium-sized venue, where one has a decent view from every seat. We weren't able to take pics or videos, although a couple people broke the rules. I feel they should've been escorted out, forfeiting their right to the remaining of the performance. After the Incredible Christmas show with 'Take 6', I grabbed other flyers for upcoming shows.
I have been here a number of times with similar results. Bathrooms are small and there's almost always a wait. There is only one long line for drinks - at intermission, this is not a good policy. The saving grace of this place is the Fairfax Symphony, a very fine orchestra with a truly masterful conductor, Christopher Zimmerman. Too bad the hall is so poorly run.
Who couldn’t like going to University if they went to George Mason. It ticks more than all the boxes!!! So many opportunities. I could of sit there for hours listening to the beautiful music that these amazingly talented people were playing 👏🏼
Renee Fleming was great. However, I was not able to enjoy her performance in the way I would have liked. The elderly couple sitting next to us kept taking out their cell phones and making noise putting away their binoculars and unzipping and zipping a purse. The couple behind us would not stop talking and whispering. There's nothing worse than ignorant people with money. I am disappointed!
Enjoyed a Christmas performance at the George Mason University Center for the Arts. Easy access parking for free with just a little walk beside the pond or paid parking right next to the Art Center. Prices AR really good especially if there's performances you can bring children with. Traffic was minimum.

Once a school building, Fairfax Museum and Visitor Center is a good resource hub to visit and learn about the history of Fairfax and current community events. It has good exhibits and information. Staff are super friendly. Parking is easy in the museum’s lot. Through a visit to the museum, we learned about the difference between Fairfax City and Fairfax County, and other places/things to check out. They also have interesting souvenirs of affordable prices. Community members and non-first-time visitors may check back from time to time for events and happenings.
I live in Fairfax City and I am so happy the museum began a "Museum Explorers" program for children. I have taken my sons to 3 of the classes so far and they are all excellent! Every class has a certain theme that has to do with something in the museum. Sean and Cami do such an amazing job and I cant wait to see what the next program will be!
A museum with rich resources of Fairfax history. It is located in the center of Fairfax City with attractive landscaping. The building was originally a Fairfax elementary school (1873) - one of “must-visit” historic places in Fairfax City.
There was a lot of history packed into a very small facility. It's very clean and worth a quick visit. The playground in the park behind the museum is a plus when visiting with little ones.
Small, cozy, and a lot of essential information. Learned something I did not know or see at schools.
Very neat historical building. It is worth making a trip to visit.
The WWII Quilt Exhibit includes a few war posters (installed until October 2019) and is worth a visit. The Fairfax County History in the 2nd floor gallery is very well put together with a nice collection of artifacts, photographs, and maps. I enjoyed the cases featuring native sons. The museum is free and you can get a nice overview in 30 minutes or less.
Great way to learn the fascinating history of Fairfax County, VA.

Fantastic mall with a wide selection of shops including Bath & Body Works, Hot Topic, Spencer's, Victoria's Secret, Journey, Macy's and Dick's Sporting Goods. The mall offers a variety of food and drink options and other service-related shops. There is plenty of free parking spots in large lots surrounding the building.
A good collection of chain stores as well as mom & pop stores. Great interior spaces, they have retained many of the malls original features and art.
Had a nice quick meal at Lazy Dog in the mall. Wonderful bar tender, thank you Jordan, for taking excellent care of me. I ate at the bad which on this might had plenty of seating, while there were lines for a table seat. When you go, say hello to Jordan and treat him we$$, he works hard.
This is a well maintained, clean, functional mall. I visited the area for a conference (stated in the Marriott acres the street from the mall), and I had two opportunities to walk over and visit the mall. Overall, I was impressed. The map was a great place to walk, I felt completely safe, it was clean and well-maintained, and it had a variety of stores and shops. I can't speak to the quality of the shops, or their cost, as I only used the mask for a 20-minute evening walk, but I did like the mall overall.
Been coming here all my life! Hope it stays around. Definitely plays a big roll in the community.
An elegant mall in a nice neighbourhood with an expansive parking area. This mall features variety of stores including Macys and JC Penny. It also features a decent variety of restaurants. I was surprised that the mall was not that crowded, I belive it needs more high-end retail departments such as Nordstrom or Sacks Fifth Avenue to make shopping diverser and the ambiance more vibrant.
I've been coming to this mall for many years. It houses many of the OG spots (Macy's, H&M, Cinnabon, Sephora, Sushi On, etc.) as well as newer spots (Donutchew, Merlo, etc.). Starbucks has relocated outside the mall. There are so many food options available ranging from quick pickups to dine-in. The mall is always decorated beautifully during the holidays, which was always when I came here historically. Luckily this mall has a lot of stores still standing, or newer stores. We usually try to visit the mall as soon as it opens on a weekday, so it won't be as busy. There are the usual mall-walkers, but seems to fill up closer to lunchtime. There is plenty of uncovered and covered (parking garage) available around the mall.
The mall is quite spacious with lots of vendors. Its a good place for family. It has many places for children to play and a santa special during Christmas season (the children will definitely love to take some photos there) There’s several food places with quite a range of food you can try.

We always love our time here! They always have fun experiments and activities for the kids to do. We love it all, the foam blocks, the animals, the experiment bar, the wind tunnel.
We visited the Children’s Science Center at Fair Oaks Mall while traveling from Florida, and I honestly wish we lived closer—we’d be here every weekend! My 2-year-old daughter had the time of her life exploring, playing, and learning through all the hands-on exhibits. Every staff member we met was incredibly kind, patient, and genuinely passionate about making the experience magical for kids. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed and supported. The space is super clean, engaging, and thoughtfully designed for curious little minds. It’s rare to find a place where science is made so fun, accessible, and joyful for young children. Thank you to the entire team for creating such a special environment. It’s an absolute gem!
Great experience for my kids who love science. They get to learn about a lot of stuff and do experiments. The staff is amazing and the annual membership is affordable. It's always clean and never too crowded, since they accept only a certain number of guests a day. It’s conveniently located in the Fairfax Oak mall where you can do a lot and eat and shop. If only the museum was a little bit bigger and had more experiments and more learning experiences, it would be perfect!
Bravo, Children’s Science Center Lab at Fairfax Mall. Truly, bravo. It takes a special level of audacity to run a children’s play center that forgets the “children” part entirely. Selling out your entire facility to a private party without posting any notice online? Genius move. Really. Why inform families when you can let them drive miles, fight for parking, hype up their kids — only to slam the door in their faces? The look on those kids’ devastated faces as they realized they were being turned away? I hope that’s worth the extra dollars from your private event. Because clearly, honesty, transparency, and basic decency didn’t make it onto your business model. And the best part? Your staff acted like this was completely normal. Apparently, expecting a public calendar or a simple online update is too much to ask from an establishment that markets itself to families. But hey — why respect the time, money, and feelings of regular visitors when private parties pay better, right? You’ve mastered one thing: showing parents exactly where they stand in your priorities — nowhere. For a place built for kids, your disregard for them today was astonishing. If revenue is the only language you speak, then let me be clear: this kind of behavior drives families away faster than any private event can fill your pockets. Do better — or at least stop pretending you’re a family-friendly establishment.
I have visited the Children's Science Center Lab only once. I think that the term "science center" is a little misleading. It's a storefront in the mall. It has some limited interactive exhibits like what you would expect from a science center, but honestly the rest of the space was uninspired. There is a really cool concept called the Experiment Bar that I loved in theory, but the experiments were like something you could do from a STEM kit you can get at Michaels and the staff don't seem very knowledgeable about science concepts (at least not compared to other science centers we have visited). All in all, it killed about an hour but was a pricey experience for what it was.
This place is pretty expensive but it’s a good alternative to taking your kids to one of those indoor play places which are also pretty expensive. Here at least you get the STEM educational experience out of it. However, this place charges for adults which is annoying. We ended up just getting a membership. It pays for itself if you are going to visit more than twice in a year. It’s a bit small but they have plenty of activities to entertain the kids for an hour. We have a 4 yo and a 2 yo. The 4 yo gets much more out of it but that’s okay. The experiment bar is fun to do hands-on science experiments but I wish they would change them up a bit more often. Same with some of the activities in the back room like the hover craft building activity. They love seeing and petting the live snakes!
A great place to have a membership at! We (6yo boy) have been members for the past year and it's great to be able to not just drop in HERE whenever it's open, but also being able to get in free or deep disounts to other science labs and museums throughout the country! The staff is always friendly and helpful and there are a good amount of longstanding exhibits and labs, but also there seem to be new things added regularly.
Exceptional staff!! Everyone here was so kind and so nice with children. They did a great job and we’re so great with my 3 year old. Honestly this place is probably better suited for years 5 and up but nevertheless they did a great job. They way they spoke to my daughter specifically showed that they cared about making science cool so they get five stars from me.
