We had a great time tubing at this adventure park in Frisco! The experience was super fun, and we really enjoyed ourselves. The park is well-organized, and the staff is incredibly friendly and entertaining. I also noticed how much they care for the kids, making sure everyone is safe while having fun. Safety is clearly a priority here, which made the experience even better. I would definitely come back and highly recommend it to everyone!
As an intimate wedding and elopement photographer, I'm always looking for new locations to share with my couples. And let me tell you, the Wedding Ceremony Overlook site at Frisco Adventure Park does not disappoint for your ceremony, especially during fall when the surrounding trees turn vibrant shades of gold. Additionally, the nearby Frisco Day Lodge offers a budget friendly reception space with all of the amenities you'd expect from a luxury venue for those looking to host a dinner after their celebration!
That was so much faster than I thought it would be!! Definitely fun for everyone of all ages. Facilities and grounds were well maintained and pretty, the staff were great too! That was seriously faster than expected though. I don’t even do baby roller coasters and that totally counts as one. Super cheap especially for how much fun and how accessible it is. Highly recommend coming here!!
Went tubing. We'd go again, very fun. $40/ person for 1 hr and we got to slide 6 times. Great activity if you want something passive vs. skiing or snowboarding. Caution: if your butt is touching the bottom of the tube you will feel some of the ridges on the slide and may get a bruise.
This city is a Hidden Gem inside of Colorado it is one of the few locations that no matter where you're at, you have a 365 ° view of the mountains on all sides. Another beautiful aspect of this city is the fact that the center of it is a beautiful Lake and there are lots of outdoor activities to do all year long The city is a hub of activity and it is not far from Denver and is a good rest stop if you want to head to Brackenridge Vale or any of the other ski resorts in the neighborhood
Great experience, first time skiing with a couple of falls but nothing major, Priced at 55$ per adult and 15$ rental for the baby carrier it’s well worth the experience , signing the waiver was not hard at all , and Front staff was very kind and helpful including the staff helping put on the equipment. Trail is about 1 / 1:30 hrs long depending on routes taken. Lots of activities for kids. Highly recommend for family and friends.
Super fun and clean. Kids and doggies had a great time:) plus it’s FREE! Like, you can’t pass that up
As a traveler on vacation (literally drove 17hrs from Texas) this place was highly recommended and has great reviews. The only downfall is that no one told us that we would have to make reservations in order to do anything. (Mine and my husbands fault for not checking) My family of 6 was so disappointed that we were not able to go tubing, skiing, or anything. My four boys did find a brightside and just played in the snow, seeing how that was our first time seeing snow. So from one visitor to another please call and make reservations for your families spot to do activities.

I loved this little museum and was seriously impressed by the quality of the exhibitions. I feel like our visit was an immersive experience and the different cabins provided us with diverse history of a small town in the Rockies. Absolutely incredible that the museum was free and the volunteers/staff were so nice too!
Nice little town with LOTS of shopping and eating. If your passing the area you must stop by for a walk and explore the scenery and shop!
Lovely place to walk around! My kid loved the train and the little exhibits inside the buildings. I enjoyed the wonderfully preserved buildings and history. Love that it's free and in a great location in the cute old downtown Frisco. Highly recommended for a historic picnic stop.
Frisco's gem is a wonderful public park and historic buildings museum. Outstanding exhibits, audio assisted, well researched. A community pavilion for events. The biggest plus is that the Frisco Historic Park and Museum is free. Everyone is welcome. Especially families. Free admission allows everyone accessibility. The park is beautifully landscaped, paved side walks, and disability accessibility. The Town of Frisco, the Park and Museum staff, and volunteers shine as an outstanding example of what a small town can achieve and be proud of. 👏
I’m so glad we stopped at the Frisco Historic Park and Museum during our trip! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and walking from historic building to building was such a unique and fun way to experience the area’s history. They even make it engaging for kids with a passport book to get stamped at each building. We learned a lot about Frisco and its past—highly recommend!
Quaint Historic Town with lots of shops and good places to eat! Beautiful.
Loved the entire village. Great for all ages free for everyone. History of Frisco founders and residents from 1800s until 1940s. Loved it such a nice place to go for locals and out of town folks who want the Colorado pioneer history. Frisco is such a friendly and fun place!!!
This was a really nice museum, especially for being free! There are 9 different buildings you can walk into, which all were historic buildings, and had audio information. We spent about an hour walking around, it was really interesting and educational!

Great options for rentals! The staff is very helpful by phone and their online booking services are convenient! I have done the kayaks a handful of times and some kind of water activity here is a must when visiting Frisco!
Went with my family on a boat tour around the lake. Was a fairly easy check in, parking was easy but we got there early, could see how the lot would fill up fast. Boat tour around the lake was fun, some decent views.
We rented a large pontoon boat from Frisco Bay. Marina and Charles was our captain. Did a three hour tour around the lake. The pontoon boat was in excellent condition. It looked fairly new. There was also a table for the food/drinks that we brought. Our captain was excellent. He took us around the lake. Towards the end of our trip a rain/wind storm popped up and he safely got us to the marina to wait it out and then we finished our tour. Very pleased with the experience and would do it again. Beautiful landscape views from the boat. The office staff was helpful when I made the reservation and everything worked out just great.
Beautiful bay marina on Dillon reservoir, surrounded by incredible mountains and outstanding views. Right on the north end of the town of Frisco, with a lot of recreational activities there and nearby. Mainly biking and boating of all types. There's a nice restaurant on the beach as well. We only canoed but they have a lot for rent, from canoes, kayaks, paddleboards and even pontoon boats for rent. There's a beautiful beach and even a restaurant. The trails that go around the lake are great for biking and hiking and have campgrounds on the other side of the bay. Really the only downside I will say is, like some places in the small towns, it kind of seemed like the staff and locals can be a little annoyed by out of towners but that probably depends on how crowded it is at certain times of the year.
First of all let me say how greatful I am that we have such an amazing place to come to and get on the water. It’s gorgeous scenery with. 360° Mountain Views. The prices in the other hand have increased significantly. I mean yes you can bring your paddleboard and blow it up but that’s terribly inconvenient. Second, sometimes the teenagers running the little paddle shop play loud EDM music. This is a family environment. I could understand some country, reggae, or Jimmy Buffet. Something everyone could enjoy listening to. But the teenage EDM concerts need to go. Also, it would be great if there were a few more tables with the tents. There’s plenty of space and I know this place has the cash to spare. Other than that, it’s an amazing place.
We took the fishing boat, it was amazing. The marina staff was very kind and helpful. It's dog friendly and our dogs had a great time on the boat.
Great beach and place to relax. Have a cold brew float at the mobile coffee shop!
We love this place. Easy access to Lake Dillon and you can make a day out of it on the water or town.

Great little ~1mile hike up to a lake. Great for kids, those from lower altitude, or those just short on time. The hike up through the aspen trees is great and crosses a couple of streams. Fall is especially awesome for this short hike. If you're feeling froggy, there are a bunch of additional routes/loops you can add after the lake to extreme your day. Ie, head over to Masontown (2.5 miles total), to Breck (8 miles), up bag some elevation and hike up Mt Royal. Have fun, leash your dog, and uphill has the right-of-way.
Absolutely one of our favorite spots. The hike is pretty short to this small lake. Moose frequent the area so beware.
Great hiking trails in the area, good for my. Biking too.
I could have sat at this breathtaking lake for hours. Perfect place to bring a picnic and relax.
Nice little lake with mellow trails.
Beautiful little lake. Perfect hike for young kids, as it's very easy.
Small lake, busy area. Trail not too difficult, but easy to take a wrong fork on the way - a bit of a maze.
Great place to get out and observe the leaves changing color and take in one of the things that make Colorado great!

John is a expert with glass blowing!!!! He let me step in and help him! I helped him make a multi-colored vase! I had looked up and found him online! He has a display full of about 75-100 different pieces of beautiful art he has made. You can book a class and make Christmas ornaments, cups, vases and pieces of art with enough time! I have worked with metal and fully enjoyed myself helping him. My wife also enjoyed it and also lent a hand doing some of the work! It was one of the highlights of our anniversary/vacation trip!!!!
What an incredible experience! Our glass blowing class with John and Andrea was absolutely unforgettable. Both were fantastic teachers, so knowledgeable, kind, and patient. John has a real gift for instruction by identifying each person’s strengths and assigning tasks that play to them, which made the whole experience feel personalized and empowering. The class was very hands-on from start to finish, and we had a blast learning how to use the tools and techniques involved. We each got to make a gorgeous piece and felt like true artists by the end! I had such a great time that I’m already planning to bring my family back for another class. Highly recommend this for anyone looking for a fun, creative, and engaging adventure.
An unforgettable experience! My husband and I took a glassblowing class with John for a date night in Silverthorne, and it was truly one of the most unique and meaningful experiences we’ve ever had. John is not only incredibly talented at his craft but also patient, kind, and deeply passionate about teaching. He made us feel comfortable every step of the way, explaining the process with such care and enthusiasm that we walked away feeling inspired and amazed. Watching him work was like witnessing art in motion — his craftsmanship is remarkable, and his love for what he does shines through every piece. We left with beautiful glasses creations and even more appreciation for the art form. If you’re ever in the area, do yourself a favor and take this class — it’s creative, calming, and unforgettable. Thank you, John, for sharing your gift and making our evening so special! 🙏🏽✨
The glass blowing class was an amazing in depth and hands on experience! We learned so much and were blown away by all the things we got to see and try. John, Andrea, and Joe were welcoming, kind, knowledgeable, and passionate about glassblowing. I would highly recommend this class and am so appreciative of everything they did to make this such an incredible experience. We absolutely love what we made in the class and had a blast!
John was an AMAZING teacher, we had the best day getting to learn, admire, and practice all things glass blowing. The value for the hands on class is PHENOMENAL, you should absolutely do it. If we ever come back, we are going to do another class! We are going to treasure our wine glasses for years to come!
We had an amazing class with John! He is an amazing artist and teacher! He was so patient and informative in guiding us. The class was hands on from the very start and he really let us make the class our own. I cannot recommend it enough!
My dad and I visited John over the summer and spent a weekend renting his studio space. He assisted us in creating five unique, beautiful pieces that I designed myself. We had a great experience and took home the best kind of souvenirs! The Gatherhouse has a wide variety of colorful glass work on sale including large and small vases, light fixtures, and ornaments. He even involves the audience when working demonstrations. John is passionate about glass blowing and a true expert of his craft.
Our family recently had an incredible experience at this glass studio. From start to finish, it was truly hands-on and so rewarding. John, the craftsman, is not only immensely skilled but also a patient and engaging teacher. He made the process fun and educational for all of us, guiding us through each step with such expertise. We came away with beautiful glass pieces and a deeper appreciation for the art of glassblowing. If you're looking for a unique, interactive experience, I can't recommend this place highly enough. It's a must-try!

Q&A about Frisco

You would want to have crampons as an option. I always take mine in the winter. I’m not sure where you could rent near Frisco but REI does rentals in Denver.
