We absolutely love this park! Lots of stuff for all ages, with new, well-maintained playground, zip line, climbing walls, sandbox, accessible playplace, and wading pool. Great picnic tables, trash cans, and shady grassy areas for picnics or parties. Close to the river and walking trail. This is our favorite park!
The wife and I stopped here while enjoying the evening after dinner visiting Richland. Great park with lots of paved access for wheelchairs and mobility devices. Easy to get near the water. Even at night it was mostly well lit. Certainly an interesting dichotomy with the fancy river cruise boat docked at one end and the homeless resources van at the others. The restrooms were ROUGH and smelled like cheap weed but the overall park was clean and well maintained. We even banged around on the little precision garden next to the playground and it was nice. Lots of folks playing pickle ball and volleyball and the courts were well lit. Totally worth a stop and the history of this land is cool too with the connection to the Manhattan project. On a side note it was nice to see a publicly accessible AED in the parking lot with lots of lights directing you to it.
In town for Art in the Park. Parking was NUTS, but the park is huge and awesome with tons of cool toys and things to do. Plus hundreds of vendors. Will be back next year. Awesome job Richland Parks and Rec team!!
It's a king-sized park that runs along the river. On a hot day it's a fun place to swim. Huge shade trees, green grass, squirrels, and a paved walkway that runs throughout the park. Picnic tables, benches, and really fun looking kids Playgrounds - and there's a wading pool too.
Howard Amon Park is a very large and versatile park with so much to offer, especially for families with children. The playground area is expansive—kids could spend hours here exploring and playing, which is always a good sign (and might even mean an early bedtime afterward!). There’s even a small rock climbing wall where little ones can start learning to climb in a safe environment. At the moment, the water pool is under construction and won’t reopen until summer 2026, but there’s still plenty to enjoy. The park also has a nice little beach area along the Columbia River, perfect for fishing if that’s your thing, though I personally wouldn’t recommend swimming there. The grounds are beautiful, with wide grassy spaces, lots of trees (great for hanging up a hammock), and plenty of shaded spots to relax. There are also picnic areas available to rent for gatherings and special occasions. Overall, this is one of the most robust and well-rounded parks I’ve ever visited—perfect for families, events, or just enjoying the outdoors.
We love this park! One of the best parks in the USA in my opinion! Love vending here for Art in the Park festival with my business THE WAVY BUNCH! Lots of shade, fun playgrounds, soft grass & great swimming!
I truly enjoyed my time at the park. It was snowing, very cold, deserted, and so beautiful. The world was hushed with snow. The only sounds were the birds chattering on the river. I look forward to seeing the sunrise next time I visit. Do be aware that I spotted a rare venomous tundra squirrel. Don't turn your back to it and show no fear as it can sense such things.
This whole place is beautiful. The wading pool is my son’s absolute favorite. The boat is beautiful. The water is beautiful. The park is nice and clean.

History comes alive here. The secretive nature of The Manhattan Project is told during this tour. Seeing the old technology that was used to create the atom bomb was quite interesting. The fact that you are able look at exhibits at your own pace is incredible. Highly recommend this tour.
A nice visitors center, staff was very accommodating as it was close to closing when I arrived. A great pictorial simmary of the history of Hanford sites. A shame the tours of B Reactor are on hold until refurbishment is scheduled to be completed in 2027.
You'll enjoy yourself here if you enjoy history and science. When I went on this tour, I had two people named Rick and Joe. They did a great job of providing information about reactor B. You'll get on a bus and head out to reactor B. The bus ride is between 30 to 45 minutes. The bus does have A/C and a restroom on board. You'll arrive and be instructed to go inside , and then you'll start your tour. The facility isn't the biggest historical monument I've been too but the information from it really makes up for it. You'll have two informative tours. One is in the control room while the other is in the water area. They last around 30 minutes. Bathrooms here are outside in porter John's. They do provide free water. The temperature inside the facility is warm (80F) . They do have one room with A/C just in case you need to cool down. Snacks inside the building aren't allowed but are welcomed on the bus. Also, taking photos is welcomed as well. If you are asking yourself if you should do this? I would say, "Go ahead and go." The cost is free besides the gas to get to the meet point. The information is overwhelming.
We had the place to ourselves! Day one of the government shutdown but they were open! Wonderful and knowledgeable guide in the welcome center. Don't miss the movie!
Have taken both the B Reactor tour and the Pre-Manhattan Project tour and both were very interesting and informative! The guides have great stories and are knowledgeable. Highly recommend! Bonus we got to see elk!
Extremely fascinating and well done tour, amazing that it's free by the government. Incredible opportunity to witness the B reactor. Insane the amount of effort, time, money, and manpower that went into building one-site to produce a small amount of material
What an amazing experience. My family and I lived every minute. The team there helped our children and gave them a great experience. The junior ranger program was also awesome. My boys were sworn in at the end of the tour after they figured out all the top secret mysteries.
The Reactor B museum at Hanford was very interesting and the docents were very knowledgeable. We really enjoyed the tour and looking at all the artifacts. The videos were very helpful in explaining how the reactor worked. The videos can be seen on YouTube if you want to look at them before you take the tour. Make reservations ahead of time and bring water to drink. 45 minute bus ride to the reactor but the docent's make it interesting.

Kool place. Ice age displays are well organized with lots of examples. Who would think camels roamed here in Washington. Entrance fee includes on site parking. Worth the visit.
I had no idea what to expect when encouraged to visit the REACH Museum. What a delightful blend of geological and geographic information of the Tri-Cities area but also a comprehensive exploration of Hanford and its role in the Manhattan Project. If you aim to visit plan for lots of time if you want to be thorough. There is loads of reading and not too much in the way of interactive experiences. Small children would unlikely be engaged but there are some stories that just need to be told and such is the case here.
Amazing Natural History and WWII and Cold War history museum. Lots of hands-on exhibits for kids or kids at heart, in the Natural History part. I enjoyed the history in the WWII and Cold War side, the housing built for Hanford employees, facts on the building, and the secrecy!
Amazing experience. If you live in Tri-City or visiting, don’t miss the opportunity to visit this museum, I recommend it . 💯
My family rented their back patio as a venue space for an event and it could not have been more perfect. The view of the river is fantastic, the space was shaded, and the museum had all the amenities we needed. But what really stuck out was Katie. From the moment I called her to inquire about the venue up until the moment we departed from the venue she was so incredibly helpful, polite, and professional. I cannot say enough great things about the customer experience I had interacting with her
Visited here with kids between the ages of 8 and 16 passing through on our way to Spokane. It's a nice smallish museum with a lot of local history. There were 2 galleries, one focused on prehistoric fossils and natural history and the other about the history of a local plutonium plant. There was not a lot of hands on things to keep the kids interest so they were finished within about half an hour maybe less. I think adults without kids could spend much longer if you like reading and observing. But with the kids not having more to do, we were out of there within about 40 minutes.
Our company recently had the pleasure of hosting a 2-day event at The REACH Museum. Katie, and the rest of the Staff, were not only kind, but attentive and accommodating to our large group. They assisted in getting our room set to our needs, and even allowed us to set-up on a day that the museum was typically closed to the public. Our guests enjoyed walking around the museum during our meeting breaks and that added something "extra" for our event. We would highly recommend visiting, or hosting your event, at The REACH Museum. We look forward to the opportunity to work with this group again.
Very interesting, especially if one is not aware of the role the surrounding area played in developing the atomic bomb. However, exhibits could have been presented in a more compelling manner.

We visited the tasting room and restaurant on a Saturday evening. It was a fantastic experience. We focused on the white wines which we greatly enjoyed. We had an appetizer (the Brussel Sprouts) that was amazing. We each had an entree and everyone at the table raved about their meal. To port brownie was fantastic. Lanie was our server and took excellent care of us. All this at a very reasonable cost. We highly recommend this experience.
Excellent consistently good wines and delicious food! Great service as well. Definitely the perfect little lunch stop! Great atmosphere as well. We loved our flatbreads and our toasts and spreads!
Love the food and service at this winery. I love that they change up their menus and offer new delicious things every so often. All I can say is go find out for yourself.
Had a very pleasant tasting at this winery. We did their wine and pie pairing. It was fun and tasty. Although busy the staff were attentive and thorough. The winery has a great vibe...friendly and a bit whimsical. We didn't have food...burnt looked very good. Will be back for a meal!
What a lovely place! It was warm and we were able to enjoy the outdoor patio. Appreciated that they had some light food offerings, the pretzel bites are a winner! Being able to choose the wine flight for tasting was a plus. Our server was super friendly, and it all made for a fun outing.
We had an excellent experience at this wine tasting. Our server was so nice an very knowledgeable on the wine list. Good job!
Never have had a bad experience. Great wine, all the way thru the lineup. New menu items to eat. Great service too.
Hollie was amazing! We stopped in today without realizing they were closed. She proceeded to take us to the wine room talk about local wines and give us a taste before we realized they weren't open! She was super helpful and sweet. I purchased 2 bottles from her because she was so helpful. We visited all 3 winery's right there and she was by the far the friendliest and most helpful of them all!

Awesome experience here at Goose Ridge. Went early, before noon. Handful of people there, very relaxing and comfortable environment. Did the mix wine tasting. All good wines, and a nice selection. Charcuterie board was great! Ladies were very friendly and helpful too. They'll start you with a complimentary pour. When you're done with that they'll bring out the first wine and start the tasting. As you finish each one they'll go down the list. They have a spirits tasting as well. Outdoor seating and areas to walk but it's cold during this time. Quite a bit of seating inside which is nice. Lots of goodies available to purchase too!
Very nice setting in the vineyard. Indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor had a nice fire pit. Love that you can make reservations online which were encouraged on the weekend. Went for the wine tasting with another couple but found out they had cider tastings so did that instead. They were all very good and reasonably priced. Ended up taking a growler home which was also decently priced. Had the warm bread and risotto ball appetizer (can’t remember name) as well as the chocolate cake for dessert. All were good, the chocolate cake was not very sweet but still very good. Blackberry jam for warm bread was amazing. Wish there were more options but I see they rotate their menus. Will definitely come back.
I paid Goose Ridge a visit with some girl friends & had a great time. We all got the cider flight, which was well worth it & priced very reasonably. We also tried the raspberry brûlée cheesecake & it was rich & decadent. I’d definitely pay them another visit. The ambiance was wonderful..inside had a big fireplace, but they also have outdoor seating with a fire pit. It’s also kid friendly! Overall, I’d recommend visiting them!
Such a beautiful winery! It's a shame that I was here on a hot August day, when I couldn't fully enjoy the outdoor part, because the tasting room is definitely on a beautiful piece of property that is perfect for hanging out, provided the weather is nice. I tried both the white wine and cider flights, and they also have spirits to sample if you're feeling adventurous. I like that they offer options so wine isn't all they have. My only suggestion is to expand on the food menu, because while I love hummus, I'd like to have more meatless options of what I can eat with my drinks. The staff was super hospitable nonetheless, and I felt well taken care of here. As a visitor to the area they made me feel right at home. Would definitely return on a cooler day.
I've been doing events as a vendor with Goose Ridge Winery for a year now, and they are amazing! The staff is friendly, and welcoming to everyone! Their events they have are BIG and always brings lots of people! If you need a venue for any event you have, this is the place to have it! The view, the atmosphere, the drinks, the people, everything is amazing! I'd give it more than 5 Stars if I could! Thanks Goose Ridge Winery Family for making my experience with you amazing!
Been here twice now with a friend who also happens to be a member. Both times for an event being held there. (Musical and party event) - Drinks and food are great. Haven't had a bad thing on the menu yet. - Staff is wonderful, and just all around fun. - Great cozy atmosphere. - Grounds are absolutely lovely. Look forward to going back again soon.
Beautiful vineyard with lots of seating options, the small plates menu has a good variety, and the staff are kind and friendly! I always enjoy my time here!
We recently hosted our client appreciation event at Goose Ridge Estate Winery, and it couldn’t have gone better! The venue was beautiful, the atmosphere was perfect, and our guests had such a wonderful time. A special thank you to Shyann, who was fantastic to work with throughout the entire planning process. She was organized, attentive, and made sure every detail was taken care of, which allowed us to truly enjoy the evening. Highly recommend Goose Ridge and their team for any special event!

Hike the mountains you have, not the ones you wish to have. Badger wouldn't be a five-star hike in the Cascades, but it's the best we have in the Tri-Cities. The trails are in excellent shape throughout the year. I wish the powers that be would resurrect some of the historical paths that are steeper. It would be easy to have a trail about 50% steeper than the Canyon Trail. People never cut switchbacks if the trail is steep enough.
Many trails available to hike and bike. (Photos taken on 9/12/2025 w/ smoke in the distance due to small local fires)
Great hike but no shade. Take water and sunscreen. It is a large hill with some wild flowers and birds.
Best hiking in the Tri Cities. Well used trails, nicely maintained, beautiful views. I hike multiple times each week and love being able to get out in nature so close to home.
Thanks so much to volunteer trail crew members who spend their time making our hiking trails safer and more accessible. Great job, trails are on good shape as us. 😁 Great view, nice people
Great trails, good views. It's not like you can get in the cascades, but it's in our own backyard!
The new trail is great! The stairs can be tough for some people & the new trail allows you to bypass them!
Amazing scenery, along with a nice hiking experience. A great introductory hike with varied difficulty depending on the trail.
