If you're anywhere near Lancaster County, do yourself a favor and carve out some time to visit the Bird-in-Hand Farmers Market. This well-sized Amish market is packed with both delicious food and unique goods. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by an abundance of enticing food options—everything from fresh smoothies and shakes to handmade candies, soft pretzels, and an impressive variety of baked goods. We're talking pies, breads, cookies, cakes—you name it. And what’s great is that many of these treats are offered by multiple vendors, so you can sample and compare. Beyond the sweets, there are plenty of savory delights too. We found stalls with fresh fruits and vegetables, rich and creamy cheeses, and butchers offering everything from deli meats to fresh cuts and a huge selection of jerkies. One highlight was a store featuring an extensive variety of nut butters—perfect for sampling and discovering something new. But it’s not just a food lover’s paradise. The market also features a wide range of non-food items including beautiful quilts, handmade clothing, hats, bags, wooden signs, toys, tools, and more. It truly feels like you can find a bit of everything here. While we didn’t get to explore the downstairs Farmers Market Gift Shop on this trip, it appeared to have larger handcrafted furniture and rockers—likely made with the high level of craftsmanship the Amish are known for. In short, Bird-in-Hand Farmers Market is a warm, welcoming place with something for everyone. I only wish we had more time to explore the whole market. We'll definitely be back!

This show is great for all ages, interactive with the audience, and excites the imagination! The staff are always friendly and helpful and we enjoy going to repeat and new shows every year! We HIGHLY recommend going to see magician legend, Merlin award winner, Brett Myers and his family and friends as you sit back and watch in amazement. 🪄🤩

Fun place. Wine downstairs with tastings. Most of the wine tends to be sweet. Upstairs a small area with Distillery Goods, rum, and the like. Larger area upstairs is a brewery, can do tastings and flights, both wine and beer, usually 8 beers or ciders on tap. I did a beer flight come a very enjoyable. Also a few packaged snacks, pretzels, wheat thins, cheese. Price wise quite reasonable.

One of my favorite places to get apples, fresh produce, pre-made sandwiches and deli cheese and meats. Also their baked goods are amazing! The staff there are great and they offer a significant discount to locals in Lancaster County.

Saw the Magic Lantern show. This model magic lantern is only 1 of 90 in existence in the world. It was precursor to motion pictures. If you like history or unique activities, take this show in.

My husband and I stopped in our last day in the area, and we had a blast. It was like walking back in time, some many things reminding us our childhood. Remembering things our Grandma's used to have, and so upset with ourselves because we didn't stop in here when we first arrived, because you could certainly spend the day. We were also very fortunate to be able to meet Esther O'Hara, she is a local artist with beautiful work. This is definitely a local gem and beats out all of the shops of mass produced over priced novelty items. Can't wait until we can go back. 5🌟 all day.
