The Wagga Wagga Botanical Gardens are a fantastic destination for all ages. The beautifully maintained gardens showcase a diverse range of plants, offering a peaceful escape or a scenic spot for a stroll. The free-entry zoo is a treat, especially for families, and the miniature railway adds a touch of charm and fun. Kids love the well-equipped playground, and the picnic areas make it easy to spend a full day here. With so much to explore, it’s a must-visit attraction in Wagga Wagga!
This place was awesome! I was able to see so many interesting things while visiting. Loved it!!
Very well set out gardens.with lots of picnic spots and BBQ, plus a small take away shop at the front. We worth the walk around with all the different areas set out like a native area, desert area, rain forest etc. Set out at least a 1/2 day to see it all. Jenny Divers
Well maintained gardens that's free entry and parking. There's different areas, eg kids playground, rainforest, zoo, cafe etc. There's a model railway but check times as it wasn't operating when i went during the weekday.
A gorgeous free zoo! You can pet the animals and hold the birds and feed the cows. Such a sweet and wonderful day out!
A lovely well-maintained garden. Very peaceful. Plenty of parking is available on-site.
In OK condition. It was disappointing that most plants were not labelled with their names and some gardens were full of weeds. However, there are many wonderful plants there, a zoo,, playgrounds and picnic facilities and a wonderful mini train to ride on on 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month. A great place for families.
Beautiful gardens to sit and enjoy the sun . We didn't see any animals . I think it's too cold for them. At 8 degrees at 1130 am. My whinge for these gardens are. The toilet lights didn't work. If I had a child go in there, it would scare them it was pitch black ⚫️ in the toilets. Luckily, I had my phone for lighting. Big slip up wagga council. It's a safety issue. Great area for kids to play. A nice walk to stretch ypur legs.

Stunning Regional Arts centre and National Glass Space. The various Glass exhibitions were quality works by talented artists. I especially loved the Women exhibition upstairs for Year of the Woman. Hard to believe this contemporary set of buildings is now 40 years old. Thank you Helen for the personalised introduction. ❤️
It's just amazing and definitely worth a visit.
A great and pleasing surprise. In excellent civic complex. Very good gallery. 3 very interesting exhibitions when I visited. Local and regional artists to the fore and a Clarice Beckett exhibition! Fascinating glass art collection..the National collection! Caff good too. Well worth a visit!
Beautiful art peices. The receptionist was hospitable. I enjoyed my time there.
A wonderful display of beautiful glass art pieces. The sleek bright building is the perfect setting. I loved the different techniques used and the variety in styles. Of the 800 art pieces in the collection, about 200 are displayed at a time. The exhibition changes every 3 months or so. I will definitely come back in Feb or March to visit again.
So glad we dropped in and checked out the exhibition on the two floors of of this iconic small gallery housing the National Glass Collection. Some amazing inspiring pieces on display.
Glad we visited the National glass gallery. Very high quality and range of works being exhibited. Definitely make the time to visit if in Wagga Wagga..
This art gallery was absolutely free! When we visited at the ground floor there was an exhibition by Tom Moore and it was fascinating. At the second floor there was some of the museum's collection. Well worth a visit! The lady on duty was very nice and helpful too. :)

Great place to check out if you’re after some things to do in Wagga Wagga. Staff are nice and plenty of parking. I’m surprised the place has ev charging and it’s near a park with bbq facilities so good for picnics and family outings there. There’s a drink tap there and some decent footpaths.
Wonderful experience here. Lots of helpful advice and guidance. Thankyou to the lady there (sorry didn't get your name) who helped me plan out my stay here. Definitely well worth the visit.
Get all the info u need here for help around town. Easy carpark access. Caravans shoild be able to park along the street easily enough. Drinkable Water available here at taps either end of the building.(20m hose) or drums. Souvenier items at good prices too!!! Friendly helpful staff.
Friendly staff. Water is available here however you cannot get a caravan into the parking area unless it is virtually empty. If you have a water bladder or tank in your car, you can fill it from the tap but you’ll need a hose at least 15m long and your own tap fitting. Jerry cans are ok.
Absolutely lovely centre, clean toilets, knowledgeable staff who took time giving me brochures and explaining the local area. Lovely local and Aboriginal made products to buy which would make amazing gifts. Very glad I stopped by!
Like the museum in the back of the chambers and had some old phones ,typewriters etc to view! Little interesting! Some help when we walked in but not much info offered
With a cluster of other services surounding this cluster of buildings, Library, Glass Art gallery, Art centre and other business to this area, it was lacking signage to the Information front door, mainly due to its small exposure to the public. Once inside the front door it was which desk, left or right. The info attendent however, directed us on the Wagga Wagga tourist track and provided us with a bundle of brouchers and maps to help us with our Wagga Wagga stay.
The staff greeted us as soon as we walked in and were really informative regarding our enquiry about cycling in the area .

Beautiful for kayaking. Check out Wagga Bidgee Canoe Club right next door. Great barbequing areas, fantastic play area for kids (and big kids!) but river can be very fast flowing and lots of snags, so stay close to the beach.
Wagga Wagga is not a seaside town so I’m surprised when I heard there’s a beach. Located along the Murrumbidgee River, it is a sandy section which is really a beach😂👍. It’s nice to see a beach with a flowing river - a nice place for beach picnic (if only it’s not so cold in June).
Wagga Beach is a beautiful place to have a family picnic. There are onsite BBQs & kids play areas for all ages. Beautiful shadey trees & grass areas all around. Recommended
Best river beach ever, lots of sand to play and sit on, (carries with river levels) plus beautiful lush green grass as a bonus... Has barbeques picnic tables, toilets and kiosk in season, great walking track alongside the river going both directions, Has an amazing kids playground, even this ol' chook (70) couldn't resist the flying fox, if the kids can't be entertained here for hours I'd be trading them in.. A must visit when you are in Wagga....
Great park for the kids to run around and play, plenty of variety in equipment for all ages. Plenty of equipment and it's fenced in.
Amazing park right by the river bank. It's got so many different play areas for all ages. Very good dog walking trail too.
A lovely beach on the banks of the Murrumbidgee River. The water is shallow. Excellent picnic and BBQ area. Plenty of parking is available on-site.
I walked 🚶‍♀️ around here last weekend it's a lovely place for picnics, kids to play in the couple of playgrounds, exercise station, a couple of toilets 🚻, bbq areas, plenty of benches to sit on and relax, kiosk, food vans, stage/amphitheatre, water refill station, plenty of shade trees 🌳, car 🚗 spaces and sculptures which are a part of the river walk 🚶‍♂️ trail

Beautiful and serene place. There are fitness equipments and facility where you can do a boating eventhough I didn't find anything to rent at the place.
Lovely spot to walk, run, bike ride. Also can bring boat down and do water sports. Lots of wild life to spot. Pretty parklands around lake. Saturday mornings 9 - 1, markets by the lake.
Lovely and peaceful environment around the lake. Walking and cycling can be done around the lake. Best place to enjoy environment in Wagga.
Nice spot for a walk, 1hr 20mins / 8700 steps to do a full lap. Well maintained public facilities, parks, toilets, bbqs and play equipment surrounding the lake.
It is a great location for activities, or just relaxing by the water. There are a lot of things to do around the lake; walking track, Apex park, fitness stations, golf, fishing, and more. The lake is shallow and the water murky, but you can still enjoy sailing, kayaking, paddle boarding and you will often see water skiers racing around.
Great place for a walk or ride around the lake. Such a shame about the algae problem it has, hopefully that issue will be corrected I miss seeing all the water activity (boats, paddle boarding and canoeing etc)
We rode around the whole lake. Was a good afternoon with my children and dog. There is a decent playground for the kids to enjoy near the boat ramp and gym stations along the asphalt walking track (which isn't ideal to skate/scooter on). There is a fairy garden in amoungst the trees at the far end between playground and club. Worth a walk or bike ride. Note: lake is smelly due to blue green algae
I was there on Friday 10/06/2022, I liked it, but was a very very cold windy day. It rained twice coming off the hills to the North of the lake. Very good lake to land a small float plan on if you have the skills to fly as a pilot.

Well-maintained historic building with displays. Staff were friendly and helpful. Free entry.
Historical Council site with small galleries and exhibitions. Free entry.
Small but perfectly formed. The two exhibitions on when I visited were very well selected and laid out to make best use of the limited space.
Very well organised and displayed .The story line nd illustrations bought the book to life .Marea Bright our local star celebrated her life in print please visit .The afternoon tea served was 2nd to none Thankyou to all involved to present this event .
It’s a very small exhibition but the staff were very friendly and they did put a lot of interesting pieces in this particular exhibition.
Nice small local museum. There are 2 sites to the museum, we saw both. They took about 2 hours to see each. Interesting facts on offer. A warm and interesting place to be on a cold winter day. Both museums were free entry. I am jealous that I do not have a museum in my local area.
A very interesting museum, featuring ww1 history and there also was a lot of farm machinery outside, even an old telephone booth. My husband and I really enjoyed this exhibition very much. Free admission.
