This walkway connects Cronulla Park and it's beach where the lifesavers club is located to Shelly beach and Oaks Park. Beautiful homes and condos lined up the path with excellent view of the sea and the soothing sound of its waves pounding the beach.

This walk is quite similar to the famous Bondi to Coogee walk, but without the constant ups and downs, making it a little more relaxing while still just as breathtaking. Along the way, you’ll pass by some stunning coastal houses that are worth admiring as you stroll. The path also takes you past several beautiful beaches, each perfect for a quick stop or swim. I personally recommend taking a break at Shelly Beach — in my opinion, it’s one of the most beautiful beaches in Sydney, and the atmosphere there is just unbeatable.

I love this walk. Beautiful views and clear pathways. A few options along the way for food, drinks, and restrooms. Plenty of benches around to rest. A few rock pools. Nice and clean. Easy walk and mostly flat. There seems to be plenty of parking on weekdays. The train and busses do connect to the area, making it easily accessible.

Here’s why it’s our new favourite family adventure. From the moment we began at North Cronulla, the wide, smooth promenade made pushing our pram effortless. There are gentle inclines, clear distance markers, and plenty of room to chat side-by-side without worrying about uneven ground. Halfway along, we paused at a patrolled section of sand where lifeguards keep watch in peak season. We dipped our toes while our baby splashed happily in the shallow water—perfect for peace of mind and sandy giggles. With a babe in tow, it helps to have options: we found shaded benches overlooking the surf, public showers to rinse off, and clean restrooms just steps from the sand. It made nappy changes and snack breaks a breeze. My partner and I treated ourselves to takeaway flat whites and açai bowls at a beachfront café. They wrapped everything up neatly so we could sip and stroll—our little one even snuck a bite of banana puree between sips! Further along the walk is a lovely playground nestled among Norfolk pines. We parked the pram, let our baby explore the swings, and enjoyed a picnic on the nearby grass—complete with barbecues and dappled shade. Watching the foamy waves roll in, hearing our baby’s delighted coos, and feeling the salt breeze together—it was the perfect way to reconnect as a family outside the usual routine. Whether you’re with little ones, toddlers, or grown-ups only, the Cronulla Beach Walk delivers: it’s safe, beautiful, and packed with conveniences for families. I can’t say enough good things about this beach! From the moment we arrived, it felt like stepping into a postcard. The sand is unbelievably soft and powdery — the kind that doesn’t burn your feet or cling too much when it’s time to head home. The water is crystal clear with the most stunning shades of turquoise and deep blue, and you can see small fish swimming right near the shore. It’s the kind of place that instantly melts your stress away. The beach is wonderfully clean and well-maintained. There are plenty of trash bins and recycling stations, which made me appreciate how much effort goes into keeping it pristine. The lifeguards are friendly, attentive, and clearly care about everyone’s safety without being intrusive. I also loved that there are plenty of shaded spots under palm trees and umbrellas to take a break from the sun, yet the open stretches of sand give you all the space you need for beach games or simply relaxing. One of the highlights for me was the calm, gentle waves — perfect for swimming, paddleboarding, and even floating around lazily with a drink in hand. If you’re into snorkeling, you’ll love the nearby reef where you can see colorful coral and vibrant marine life just a short swim away. There are also rental shops close by offering kayaks, jet skis, and beach chairs at reasonable prices, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The nearby cafes and beach bars were a pleasant surprise too. The food was fresh and delicious — especially the seafood — and the sunset cocktails were absolutely perfect while watching the sky transform into a watercolor masterpiece. Beautiful yet quiet beach, if you enjoy tranquility it's Def better than other touristy beaches. You can walk all the way to the state park from here.

Beautiful stretch of beach in Cronulla. Excellent and scenic during the late afternoon and evening hours. Perfect location to spend a weekend. Nice calm waters and the waves are medium. The white sands on the beach are very comfortable. Great picnic spot while enjoying a relaxing bath on the beachside. The location is a walking distance of about 15 minutes from Cronulla station. Plenty of visitor amenities including shower area, drinking water available.

Nice and relaxing beachy place. There are lots of beaches around this area and this is the major place. I went there during a weekend so it was a bit crowded but it’s a great place for families and adults. There are 2 rock pools and Cafes and restaurants nearby.

Such a beautiful and stunning beach 🌊🌊🌊 This is a patrolled beach and is SUPER popular and very busy in summer. There are amazing restaurants along North cronulla, public toilets and a huge park area with kids play. The surf club area is under construction at the moment. Too many rocks and they hurt my supple feet. Don't recommend if your precious ones are as beautiful as mine.

Early morning at North Cronulla Beach looks like a day with happy beginning. Sun rise approaching and the scenes looks fantastic with the tide waves storming in. So many locals already out for a walk at 6 to enjoy this beach walk while surfers already surfing with the tide wave. Brilliant!!!

Beautiful colourful beach with long coastal beach walk. Just few steps walk from Cronulla train station. Got many affordable restaurants around. My favourite restaurant around that are is in front of Cronulla train station named Paris Seafood Cafe. I have been to Cronulla twice and both visit I had my brekky and brunch over there. Awesome food, fast service. Near the beach, it has got market, which you can explore if you are a market person. Must visit this colourful and beautiful beach.
