Cluster of traditional wooden houses repurposed as a stylish shopping area, with bars & restaurants.

Some lovely old houses in an historic part of Irkutz and well worth a nice walk.
Pretty lame. It's an outdoor shopping mall with zero atmosphere. The Babr statue is the only thing worth seeing as it is the symbol of Irkutsk.
The best place to get acquainted with traditional Siberian wood architecture. Great variety of different restaurants - from Italian to Japanese.
Good place to find something to eat or drink.. very good restoration of the building but if you walk around the city you can find better places with the same quality and lower prices.
Definitely the restaurant street, some of the best restaurants are all located on or next to this street. The street has a shopping mall at the opposite end to the entry statue entrance. We found it a nice experience walking and then eating along this street.
Looks bit artificial, but anyway it is worth to have a walk here. Good place for coffee or some food.
Very original concept of tourist area with mix of cultural and food outlets.
Very nice area to visit. Near many bars and restaurants

Everyone who visits Irkutz must go to thissymbol and landmark in Irkutsk. The statue represents a mythical creature that is part tiger and part beaver, which originated from a historical mix-up in the city’s coat of arms. The term “babr” was an old local word for a Siberian tiger, but due to a misunderstanding, it was depicted with beaver-like features1
Statue is nice. Many people come to take photos with it.
The statue of the Irkutsk coat of arms: a Babr, a type of ancient steppe tiger, a " bloodthirsty, strong and ferocious creature" representing the power, uniqueness and richness of the area. This is also the start of 130 District, with many modern shops, bars and restaurants.
If you arrive in Irkutsk, do not give up walking to this place, the experience, the atmosphere and the restaurants in the area are something special that will keep you spending a few hours here. It is recommended to arrive here at noon, or in the evening. And do not forget to do 'like' if I contributed to you.
It is the symbol of the Irkutsk city. So you need to see it.
Nice place. Center of irkutsk city.
It's a soul of Irkutsk. The place to meet with friends. The place where begin the square with restaurants and bars. It's a legend animal (probably extinted). He has a zebbeline in the mouth.
Babr is an ancient local name for a tiger. In 1686, Irkutsk received the status of a city and at the same time it was honored with a stamp and coat of arms.

Good place to see daily clothes and the way of life of the past in Russia.
Siberian history and champagne Went there for a tour for Siberian history on exiles and their wives. Wasn't really too interested. When the performers were singing opera, I wasn't too interested too, then they popped the champagne and we found that many people on our tour were quite old and didn't want to drink it. So the few younger people on the tour all had a few refreshing glasses! Yippee.
Very nice. Great Atmosphere and service. Friendly staffs.
Half hour need. Boutique museum.
This museum ist just about fashion of the Dekabrists time and about the noble Volkonskiy family. Absolutly no information about the Dekabrist movement, their ideas and goals, no political information at all. So if you want to know about the banned nobles in Sibiria and the privileged life and the good things they did for the region, it might be a good museum. But a comparison to the banned poorer people and any political information are missing. There is also hardly anything in English, as in most Russian museums. But even in Russian, the explanations are very old fashioned, as far as I could understand them. This is history as it was thought in the 1st half of last century.
Informative museum on the living of one of the first Decabrists. The house itself has an interesting history.
Organized, beautiful exposition and with explanations in English about his and his family history.

Amazing Theatre & the Manager was amazing! Treated me like True Comrade & spoke fluent English.
I came to experience watching a local Russian play. It was a great experience even though I didn’t understand a single word spoken. The whole play lasted about 2hrs, so if you don’t understand Russian , only try this if you have the patience to sit for the whole duration.
A must-go if you are in town. The talent of the cast and technical team is amazing.
(Translated by Google) History of the Drama Theater. Okhlopkova begins in the 18th century. Irkutsk became the third provincial city in Russia and the first in Siberia to have a secular theater. The first performance was played in 1787. This date is considered to be the year of foundation. Then the troupe was recruited by the wife of a local college adviser, Maria Troepolskaya. She also became the first actress and director. If we talk about the theater building itself, it is worth noting that its appearance has not changed at all for more than 120 years, but the area has expanded. In 1997, a large-scale reconstruction of the theater took place. An extension was also made to it, exceeding the area of the main building. This made it possible to open not only the main stage, but also chamber and experimental stages in the Drama Theatre. In 1999, the renovated building opened to visitors. During renovations in 2017, theater specialists discovered that there had once been a fireplace in the blue hall. Therefore, a similar fireplace was ordered from one of the factories in St. Petersburg and delivered to Irkutsk. Now it decorates the main hall of the Drama Theater as before.
(Translated by Google) Our beloved theater!!! And it has remained our favorite since 1967. Having arrived from Nerchinsk to study, after the 10th grade and seeing this PALACE, the desire to be at a performance became one of my main dreams! And one day I was in the palace! !! I don’t remember what the performance was because I only looked around and was simply numb from this grandeur and labyrinths. We were sitting somewhere at the very top, the actors were almost invisible. They clapped loudly and for some reason for a long time (our palms were burning for a long time afterwards) and returned home in silence, apparently shaving lest they lose what they “caught” in the theater. So many years have passed, but this first impression is still fresh in my memory. I love and admire you immensely! For your skill, dedication and culture! Low bow to you!

Really beautiful external and internal. The Sobor Bogoyavlensky, also known as the Cathedral of the Epiphany is situated near the Angara River and is one of the oldest stone buildings in Siberia, dating back to the mid-18th century. It features a unique blend of Byzantine, Baroque, and Classical architectural styles with rich internation frescoes and icons, creating a visually captivating experience. Combine this with a walk along the Angara River.
Beautiful church with great paintings! Souvenir shop is excellent!
Magnificent church looks like big from the outside but you have no idea how beautiful it is in the inside it's just incredible. There is no word to describe the beauty of the painted wall (very modern) , of the painting , and all of the objects are perfectly in their theme, the ensemble is just amazing !
A beautiful church, both inside and outside. Fortunately this building also was not destroyed in the Soviet era as it was used as a bakery and grain store. The ornate inside needs time to appreciate the details and the magnificent frescoes.
Beautiful inside & outside
Nice Cathedral 😍
Great cathedral. Paintings here are really nice. Photography not allowed inside the church.
This church building is very special
