I went with family who watch the show every evening. We all throroughly enjoyed it. It was a lot more walking than we all thought but there was so much to see. We listed to a chimpanzee talk and you can really tell how much all the staff care about the animals they have. All of the enclosures looked clean and tidy but in a natural monkey sort of way! My only moan is that the map is terrible. I could not figure out the map at all. There were other people who struggled to as they asked me for help! Worth the visit. There were lots of play areas for kids and the big one (I think it's called the orangutan park maybe) looked great. Plenty of space for picnics and for little ones to run around. A great day out.

We were lucky that the weather was so good and the park so quiet. I needn't have worried the place has grown exponentially, the car park was full, but inside it felt comfortably spacious with loads to do for a very excitable pair of monkeys, who grew more and more interested in what they were seeing. You name it there was something for everyone who even has a modicome of interest in the subject. A fab day out had by all, we even saw some real modern tanks driving on the roads outside the museum as its in an active army camp! 5*

The walk itself is beautiful, with picturesque views and peaceful surroundings that make for a very pleasant stroll. This is such an incredible place and well worth the visit! We followed the fairy and gnome trail round and vered off onto some of the other little paths too, and there's so much to explore. The whole area is well maintained and kept and we couldn't fault our experience. The rope bridge was a firm favourite! We also had coffee in the tea rooms (the cakes looked incredible too!) and also ice cream which was good, and even had doggy ice cream. Carpark is small so book ahead. Not sure a place for children to visit. Dogs on leads allowed in the grounds only. The cottage is near Bovington and close to where he sadly died. Wasn't sure what to expect on arrival but not aware there would be a talk prior to going into the cottage. The gentleman who gave the talk was exceptionally knowledgeable and we now know more about Lawrence's life, after around 30 minutes. After this you get to go into the cottage, again, 2 more people giving talks explaining about the rooms and it's contents - Very interesting! There is also an old bike shed to look in which unfortunately no longer houses his bikes. The whole tour takes around an hour. Lawrence had a very colourful life which was sadly cut short. You can also visit his grave which is in a nearby village. Doubt we will visit again but definitely worth the hour if you are interested in historical figures.

It is almost on the Bovington Camp (tank training grounds) and just up the road from the Tank Museum. Being N.T members it was a no brainer. Although we did not expect much from a visit to a cottage, it turned out to be one of the most engaging of visits. The cottage is small and meek but the N.T guides were very good at getting across T.E Lawrence's life in a short talk and a credit to the N.T. Amazingly the furniture, belongings and artifacts are all T.E Lawrence, not period items brought in to fill the space as you can find at some other properties. A lot to take in, and left us wanting to know more about the life and work of this extraordinary man. He died young sadly, and buried in a cemetery not too far away, and worth a quick visit too.

The guide at the entrance was friendly, helpful and gave us lots of information to set the context and engage my kids (aged 9 and 13). We went on a family day trip to Corfe castle on the steam train to Norden (there is also a big car park at Norden next to the museum). Norden station is at the end of the trainline and the museum is conveniently located just behind the station and a 20-30 minute scenic walk away from corfe castle. Definitely recommend as a great addition to a trip to Norden and/or Corfe castle!

Tucked away outside Wareham amidst beautiful countryside. Towering pines screen the access road and the garden. Beautiful wall surrounds the garden on 3 sides. It's split into a multitude of small gardens, rose, meadow,pond, orchard, flower and a vegetable garden. It's not neat and orderly and still a work in progress. But we loved it. Quiet and not too busy. There is a viewing spot for the Osprey nest but booking is essential. The toilets are Eco loos but very clean. It's not the most manicured of gardens, partly because I think it is a work in progress and partly just because of the style, but still lovely in it's way. The tiny coffee shop was very cute and the coffee was nice and the cinnamon and vanilla buns were the best I have had in this country. The walls of the garden are an architectural gem. Beautiful brickwork with tiny ornate details and quirky potting sheds built into them. If you want something very manicured then I would recommend "Holme for Gardens" on the other side of Wareham. But I would still thoroughly recommend a trip to Carey's Secret Garden.
