He was fairly impressive (at a distance). The hike to Hidden Falls is moderate to moderately hard (everything is relative). The hike to continue to Inspiration Point was more difficult due to the steepness only. The trails are wide and well-maintained with lots of small direction signs. The hike to Hidden Falls was beautiful. Continuing on to Inspiration Point was more meh to me. Jenny Lake is big and you can see it all from the point.

Even when we drove around 6AM, the parking lot was already packed. If you come later, you’ll likely end up parking very far from the river, which makes the experience less enjoyable. It was difficult to get a good shot because of the crowd, everyone was trying to set up for the same view. You are so close to tons of hiking and other sites. Another positive are the people that work here. Every person we interacted with was wonderful. We loved the coffee cart area in the main lodge. Great coffee. Friendly staff. The diner was the same. Friendly people and the food was great. The brownie dessert is something I will dream about for the foreseeable future. The activities desk has a great company they work with for a scenic raft tour. Enjoyed that immensely. Now for the negatives….The Mural room will get its own review as it was lacking. Very lacking. Our waitress was the only thing that saved that meal. The hotel rooms are not the most clean and are in need of a major update. Our most expensive night was over $800. That definitely was NOT an $800 a night room. The tub was on a slow drain. I’m sure they would have come to fix it but we just dealt with it as we were busy and back late every day. Just everything needed a good scrubbing. I always check for bed bugs in hotel rooms and I took an extra amount of checking time with this one. It was fine, but I’ve never done such a thorough investigation because it just looked like a place I’d find them. Again, I did not find them our room did not have them. Just want to be clear. Overall, I give them 3 stars and really their staff and location (see photo) are the only reason it’s not 2. If you’re going to charge high-end hotel/lodge prices you should have rooms that reflect that.

The Pioneer Grill was terribly overpriced and very disappointing. Our room with a view cost us over $700.00 for one night. It's a small room with cheap siding on the walls. We've stayed at many $100/night rooms that are much nicer. Again disappointing. There is only one elevator and it was filthy with a sticky floor. It too needs upgrading.... and cleaned. The place is packed so there is no incentive to fix it up. The view is absolutely stunning! We will go back for the views but we will eat and stay somewhere else other than the Jackson Lake Lodge!

Campground was clean. Saw lots of wild life including Bear and Elk. Check in to the site was next to non existent compared to other national parks we have stayed in. Sites were pretty close to each other, didn't use the showers but they looked ok, $5 for 12 minutes. The laundry room wasn't great, around $5 as well. Restaurant by the lodge looked good but didn't end up eating there, general store had wood and ice and some basic food items. It was super quiet at night. Good if you are looking for a chill place to hike.

The campground is managed by the nearby Signal Mountain Lodge. The campground does NOT offer shower or laundry facilities but these facilities can be found ~15 mins away. It was very convenient to stay in the park and be close to the hiking areas. Our site was directly on the water and was a no-generator zone. (There is also a car camping zone that allows generators). The bathroom facilities had muddy floors from the rain but were extremely clean other than that and had running water and soap. The gentleman that checked us in was nice and respectful. There are bear boxes provided or you can keep your food in the car. The sites were reasonably sized but very close together, there is a lot of trees for privacy though! There are also a lot of bear-proof dumpsters. Did not encounter any wildlife other than ground squirrels and ducks on the lake. I recommend staying here. The only downside is that the site was expensive. It was 50$ after taxes and fees, where a comparable site in Yellowstone was 20$. I guess that is what you pay for running water. This site did have 2-3 bars of cellular service through Verizon continuously throughout our time there.

Make sure you have an offline copy of the trail because there is no signal the last part might of the hike might be confusing. Note that the water are extremely cold, it definitely wasn't the smart decision to try and swim. Last but not least, make sure to go down slowly, the way is really steep and when we did this hike a couple of people had to be rescued by a helicopter because they twisted their ankle.

Last mile of trail was still snow covered. I'd suggest yak tracks for this as the snow is slippery and slushy. Otherwise a very strenuous but beautiful day hike. I'd definitely do it again, but next time I think I'd get a backcountry permit and split it up into 2 days, just for the photography. Saw no bears, but did see 4 Bull Moose and a lot of marmots and Pikas. Temp difference was about 30 - 40 degrees from the boat dock to Lake Solitude, but because of the difficult hike, we didn't have to add any layers. We did take a layer off on the way down.
