Overall, it was a great experience and a lot of fun. My girlfriend and I actually enjoyed it so much that we signed up for membership at the observatory, which is very reasonable. I would highly recommend visiting to anyone interested in astronomy, stargazing, space, or simply looking for something enjoyable (and free) to do on a Wednesday night.

The staff members were welcoming, kind and helpful. The camp was going on while I was there, so I also got to see how they operated above just rental equipment. I was impressed with how much fun the kids had. They were making those memories of collecting jellyfish and jumping into the lake that make for a great summer experience. I also liked that they were strict with safety measures. At one point a young boy did not have his life vest securely fastened while on the dock, and immediately the staff stopped and reminded him of the rules. The equipment was good, and the cost was great considering what you get with it. I would absolutely go back. I feel safe and welcomed there.
