This was my second Tweed's visit, my first time was nearly a year ago. What an institution Both times I've eaten here, I've gotten the $18 bison burger cooked medium with steak fries and a Shirley Temple for lunch. The meat is so juicy, and the fries are perfectly crisp. It continues to blow my mind that there's a bison farm just outside downtown! My waitress went above and beyond, and said my meal was on the house! I WAS NOT EXPECTING THAT! That made my day! Kudos to the staff, they're super friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend this awesome eatery if you're visiting downtown....maybe visit the Railroad Museum too while you're at it when we're open on weekends between April and December ;)

I was really disappointed with my experience here. The service was frustrating,I had to ask for drink refills three separate times before anyone followed through. The restaurant itself feels extremely outdated; it looks like it hasn’t been upgraded since the 1970s. There’s also a strong musty, old-basement smell that makes the whole environment uncomfortable. The food was bland and definitely didn’t match the prices they’re charging. For the quality, atmosphere, and service, it’s simply overpriced. My wife ate her entire meal which NEVER happens, and I left still feeling hungry which also never happens when we eat out. I never have room for desert and my wife always leaves with something to take home but this was the exception. First time for everything I guess. Bill came to $70 for the 2 of us which is not really that bad, just wish the portions were a little bigger. They have a big patio area out back that will surely pack out when the season starts.

With an amount of attitude that was not what I expect in hospitality, she said we do not do reservations you are on a waitlist. Do after being in the restaurant for close to an hour with a reservation I still was not seated. My elderly parents could no.longer stand. The hostess never gave us updates even though we were literally standing in the hallway she passed through multiple times. They never as much as offered a glass of water. I called Pulcinella in Wading River and they were able to seat us. We went there and were treated exactly how I expect to be treated by a restaurant and their staff.

They don’t give us an approximate wait time or seem apologetic whatsoever. We assume the wait would be only a few minutes, but instead we waited a whole HOUR. The entire time the staff completely ignored us, didn’t check up on us, and gave us dirty looks. So incredibly disrespectful. We didn’t get seated until 9 PM - their closing time. They did not apologize a single time for making us wait and the worst part was the FOOD WAS NOT WORTH THE WAIT. It was so incredibly MID. I would never ever go here again nor would I recommend it to anyone. They genuinely do not respect their customers or their customers time and experience.

I love that Lolly griddles up the bacon when ordered instead of having a stack of precooked bacon sitting on the griddle from hours before. I was in mood for a nice juicy burger so the single smash burger was a no brainer, I also wanted to try a non alcoholic beer and yay: they had a Pilsner! As a Taurus I also could not resist as dessert do I got a veey delicious almond treat but forgot the name. Lol. I did not get to use restroom as it was occupied and my time was limited, the men behind the counter were super nice and seemed efficient, I love that you can see the cooking action from the bar and they also had a tv which I love insulting in as I don’t watch much otherwise. So as I'm picking it up the girl said I have to charge you for peppers even though everything was already paid for. Like really?!
