Steve Brownell’s music brought us down on a Friday evening. We had a group of 10 and ordered drinks and dinner. I would understand if the food was spectacular but it was alright. We were greeted by one waitress(Morgan) who brought us waters and menus, and another waitress(Marisa who was supposed to be our actual server) came to take the order. And then we never saw her again, except when the food came out cold. Our order did not come out as ordered, one had no coleslaw, and the bun was stale. The other order’s fries were cold, floppy and covered with so much salt it could’ve sent me to the hospital. When Marisa asked if we needed anything, we asked for ketchup, hot sauce, and a napkin. She never reappeared with any of those things. Instead, we had to ask the other girl, Morgan, who saved the day! But by the time the food was uneatable. We were also missing the sauces that were supposed to come with our food. This place is a JOKE but this is probably the best this island can offer. It’s now a completely different experience, and while I miss the old Island House, the new one has its own charm. We came for Sunday Brunch. Everyone loved their food. Most of our crew had the waffle with fruit and yogurt. Admittedly, there was a teeny condiment sized cup of yogurt, they said everything was good. I had the quiche of the week-bacon and spinach. It came with a generous greens salad as well. It was all delicious. The fresh made orange juice was worth every penny of the $5 for the glass. It was the best orange juice I think I’ve ever had. There is no waitress at all. You have to go up to a counter to order, but theres no clear direction telling you that. Also you have to grab your own silverware, and no one tells you that. They give you a buzzer for when ur food is done, you get your own drink. Food was cold, had gotten breakfast, toast was just bread and butter not toasted at all. Watched multiple customers come in and they also was very confused on what to do... and staff walks past them not offering a bit of help. A $50 breakfast for 2 i expect to have atleast hot food broght to my table. Lol shoulda just hit mcdonalds before coming. This place isnt worth the money!

We sat at the bar next to a couple who had gotten there about a minute before us they were nice and all smiles. After a couple minutes the bartender got drinks for our party but definitely seemed like she didn’t want to. An older group came in and waited several minutes they flagged her down and got their drinks. The couple that was there before us still had not been waited and it was quite obvious that they were being avoided all together, at this point we decided to leave, it seemed like they were this appeared to be a race thing, these were well groomed polite people.
