They also needed more seasoning. The French fries were really good. The chicken tenders were big and juicy. We also ordered a ham and cheese omelette which was just fine. Overall, if you’re looking for decent options for great prices and cute dog pics, it’s worth a visit.

However the customer service is not that good all the time. It a hit or miss and for the pricing a customer deserves quicker service. The kitchen does well it's the seating process and the time till the first waiter comes over or bring water. I have been a customer for a while and I like the people. It was also described to have pancetta - what was on my plate looked and tasted more like pre-cooked microwaveable bacon that you find in boxes on the shelves. My husband ordered a flat iron steak with chimchuri, described to have caramelized brussel sprouts. The chimchuri sauce was kinda weak (but not entirely bad), but the brussel sprouts were basically boiled in both looks and taste. We were celebrating our anniversary and honestly it was a bit lackluster for the price point. The meal did not want us to return to this for dinner in the future. We were trying to book a place in Warwick and couldn't get reservations so we began to look in the Vernon area. We were staying locally but had very good things about the place we couldn't get in to. We eventually heard from our server that they had apparently just been very busy and emptied out. We were greeted by a hostess who said she would clean a booth for us. He was looking for someone to tell them that they should let us know there would be an hour long wait for food if we planned to stay. The server who told us seemed pretty adamant that she didn't want to make any more money that night. The hostess got us a different server and she assured us it wouldn't be an hour for food. Being a chef of 20 years and seeing a massive dining room with another side for their bar area, it was upsetting to see maybe 4-5 tables in the whole place and nearly everyone in give up mode. We ordered wings as an appetizer so that we could get a little food quicker than they had told us it would be. 10 breaded wing ding style wings in hot sauce we figured wouldn't be that long. It was maybe 20 minutes. Better than an hour. The wings were good. They said the sauce was really hot, it was not, but had good flavor. They make their own ranch and blue cheese. The ranch had an odd addition to it, almost as if it was 80% ranch and 20% Caesar. The blue cheese wasn't blended well enough, huge chunks of cheese, but the liquid portion was nearly flavorless. The actual food we ordered did in fact, take nearly an hour. After seeing their menu online and realizing they were trying to do FAR too much, we figured getting a large main plate item was a poor choice. We further added to that belief when we saw the typical diner style place settings at the tables (some of which had coupons that expired a year ago). We went with the tenderloin tips sandwich and 2 burgers. The tenderloin sandwich was good, would have been better than good but the entire roll was wet with what I would assume was either the butter or oil they used to cook the peppers and onions that come on it. Fries were dusted with flour or cornstarch so they had a bit more crunch than some others, they were also good. Both burgers had good flavor and came on Kaiser rolls (which I like) however both temps were wrong. We were supposed to get a medium rare and a medium. We got a medium well and a well. After waiting an hour and realizing it wasn't going to get much better, we decided to keep them and just count our losses and head for the door. The Millennial Chum and I stopped by here for lunch this past Saturday after building up an appetite ziplining at nearby Mountain Creek. I was kind of impressed that they had literally the most basic avocado toast option possible - literally just avocado on toast. In this day and age, I usually have to navigate around some weird crap (my limit is maybe some feta or pepper flakes, but once you start putting basically an entirely different meal on it, I'm out), so it was refreshing from that perspective. That said, this really should be an avocado mash - per the attached picture, they just chopped up pieces of browning avocado with no seasoning whatsoever, which I could easily make at home. It's extremely rare for me to add seasoning, but as soon as I saw this, I doused it with pepper. A rare instance of this being a little TOO basic. But they have the right idea. Honestly, I didn't like the strawberry pancakes. I thought they tasted artificial and not good at all. I had a few bites that were heavily centered on the strawberries, but the strawberries weren't ripe yet so they weren't juicy/flavorful. For what it's worth though, the Millennial Chum DID like them and hosed most of them down on my behalf, so maybe it's just a personal preference issue. Like a diner, the portions here are gigantic - huge points for that. Even though I was pretty tepid overall on the avocado toast, it's a portion that was arguably twice as large if not more than the serving you'd get at a bougie cafe in Jersey City or something. The sandwich was pretty top notch. Fresh roll, gooey cheese with a nicely cooked egg. The taylor ham was cooked between a flatop and griddle to add perfect lines of blackening (not burnt) to really bring out it's flavor. Most places don't do that and it makes massive difference in flavor. Overall it was very good. It was a bit of a mess to eat but that's because it was piping hot right off the grill.
