Totally lives up to it's Great Reputation!!! I took my Little Shih Tzu, Bella, out for dinner with me, and a friend came to join us. Location was a bit ‘out of the way’ but pleasantly quiet and relaxing considering all the street noise. 
We were welcomed with open arms and warm hospitality. And despite how busy the restaurant was on that particular night (thank goodness I had reservations) we were accommodated in every aspect of our dining experience! Beverages were delivered along with a plate of piping hot ‘bruschetta’ with fresh toppings - more than enough for two! 
Caesar Salad arrived, and while tasty, was far too wet and overdressed for my liking. My friend enjoyed the Lasagna - Outrageously Delicious in Every Respect!!! 
A delectable taste treat for all your senses making your taste-buds sing and dance!!! I took great delight in the ‘merofish’ in white wine - superbly cooked, texture was perfect, and seasoned throughout, accompanied by an array of perfectly cooked fresh vegetables - al dente! 
No need for additional seasoning on anything. Portion sizes were far more than adequate … ample would be a better description. I Highly Recommend A Dining Experience at Ottimo Restaurant!

You’ll go 20-30 minutes before the servers realize you’re still there. Their special events on weekends are notoriously understaffed. Happy hour is 3-9 where you will have your choice of a select few drinks. You’ll need the time with how infrequent the service is. They are also constantly out of menu items. They’ll only have 1 of the 4 dessert options or be out of Coke, Sprite etc. If you’ve got some sort of deal coupon to be here then so be it. Otherwise, find somewhere else to go. There are tons of terrific restaurants in Sosúa that will do a far better job in both service and food quality. A frustrating experience through and through.
