I’ve been visiting this restaurant for 8 years, almost every single day during the summer, and I supported them with 5-star reviews for eight years. That’s why their recent behaviour on social media was not only disappointing, but genuinely disrespectful. I was the one who followed them first — my interest was sincere, friendly, and supportive.
I followed their profile first as a loyal guest. They later requested to follow me back — and then decided to remove me entirely, even though I was following them. For clarity: them unliking my content is their choice, and that’s perfectly fine. But removing me from their followers list — even though I was the one who followed them first — is something entirely different.
The only possible reason seems to be my fitness/dance lifestyle content, which is completely harmless, fully appropriate, and has absolutely nothing to do with their restaurant or their guests. But apparently, they believe they can “curate” who is worthy of following their account.
To be clear — That kind of selective, judgmental behaviour from a business is unprofessional and honestly quite embarrassing.
Meanwhile, the menu hasn’t changed in 8 years. No updates. No creativity. Pizzas are too small. So next year we will eat Pizza just a few steps away from Konoba Jaz. For the same price you get a normally large and not some small-middle one.
The waiters are always kind and hardworking.
Even the waiters, who know how often I visit and how respectfully we communicate, probably wouldn’t expect that I would be the one removed from their followers list after eight years of loyalty.
This review comes from someone who supported this place 8 years. That sequence of actions is passive-aggressive, immature, and far from professional.
After this "experience", I’ll simply choose a different restaurant next season 🤷♀️
There is no valid explanation for this kind of behaviour, and the excuse “it was accidental” is something I absolutely do not accept.
I discovered it the moment I simply wanted to check whether they’re open during the winter.
This could have been done by someone older, or just as easily by someone younger who is insecure, conservative, or simply unprepared to manage social media professionally.
Someone else might call this a small thing, but it didn’t feel small to me — it felt disrespectful, and it made me feel bad.
May their next season be as carefully curated as their followers list.
