My husband and I go here frequently and absolutely love it. A great salad bar of various toppings and side salads to go with it like broccoli salad and Waldorf for examples. Everything on the main bar just like Grandma cooked from salmon, to Yankee pot roast to turkey and gravy. Lots of sides dishes like sweet potato souffle, corn souffle and mashed potatoes and gravy, just to name a few. For dessert, a wide variety if sweet treats from pies to cakes. The atmosphere is plain down home and lovely. The service is always spot on. They have locations in Riverview, Lakeland and Plant City. We love this place and the price is right. I highly recommend them.

As soon as you arrive at the door there is someone there to greet you immediately and also seat you comfortably 😉, there is the unique air of southern hospitality and also kindness from the servers and waitstaff! The atmosphere is rustic and original that way you know your in line for some great BBQ the way it was meant to be, slow smoked and falling off the bone tender. The side dishes were also great, the have collard greens, green beans, sweet potatoes soufflé and potato salad to name just a few along with desserts. The main entrées are of the slow smoked ribs and chicken, to include beef brisket and pork butter. My favorite were the nachos 😋 which are an appetizer but easily could've been a meal as they were covered in melted cheese and layered with chunks of beef brisket! Also the Southern fried chicken was slow smoked, fried and then drizzled with honey, OMG!! The taste was Phenomenal!! Coming in we were greeted by Stanley who we found out was the owner. Very polite and inviting. From our observation he was familiar with the regulars and involved in the restaurant. Everything was seasoned to please everyone. Enough to give it a great flavor but not too much for those who prefer less. My spouse added a dash of salt and pepper to the grits and I added a bit of hot sauce to my pork. The homefries and biscuit were definitely made from scratch, if not they fooled us, crispy around the edges, soft where it mattered and packed full of flavor. Pork chops were juicy and seasoned well. The steak was fried perfectly golden with a nice white pepper gravy. The grits could have come off a minute or two earlier but it did not ruin anything. My spouse ate almost every bite. We were checked on to make sure everything was to our liking and at the end of our meal we officially met the owner, Stanley. He came to make sure everything was okay and asked for any feedback. A great experience. For these large portions and great service our meal was only $42 before Tip (there is also a slight fee noted at the bottom of the menu for using a card instead of cash). Our only actual complaint was that we didn't have much privacy being placed out in the middle with booths all around and we received a couple straight stares and a few looks from various individuals throughout our meal. We are an interracial gay couple who is completely new to the area and that might be different from what the customers are accustomed to. It definitely looked like maybe a lot of locals. We couldn’t stand in line. We found this place and it did not disappoint. Excellent service with a smile. Comfy table and chair with wonderful AC. We ordered two sopes and Quesabirria tacos. They were both very tasty. We both had Agua frescas to wash down our lunch - Pina(Pineapple) and Horchata. They were so good and big. The restroom is in the back outside around the corner but it is fine and clean. Def a good spot to stop at while in the Plant City Area. Service with a smile and dine in and dine out options.
