The week leading up to the party, there was another viewing and the staff worked around my work schedule and stayed late, moved tables, humoured me and ensured I was happy. When the evening came, the room looked beautiful, the food was gorgeous and the drinks were flowing. Nothing was too much trouble. All my guests raved about the food and the atmosphere. It was relaxed, but special, really an evening to remember and I thoroughly enjoyed myself without having to orchestrate a thing on the night. The pints were brought over, I nearly spat it back out, I believe it still had line cleaner in it, it tasted very medicinal which is a cause for concern. We alerted the waitress straight away and she was expecting there to be a problem, she said the barrel had been changed and it hadn't been run through. We asked for 2 more, but requested them from downstairs as there was no way I was drinking anymore from that pump. I spoke to one of the managers at the door — I believe his name was Alex — and explained what had happened. Despite it being clearly busy, he immediately got to work. He asked us to wait in the bar for a few minutes, and within 10 minutes we were seated! Our server, Zara, was absolutely wonderful — so friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, and the drinks were honestly some of the best I’ve ever had on a brunch (and I’ve done quite a few!). What could have been a total disaster turned into a fantastic evening thanks to Alex and Zara. They completely saved my birthday, and I’m so grateful for how well we were looked after. Booked this for a group of 6 girls one Saturday and every single one loved it! On arrival you are shown to your table where your pre ordered drinks are waiting for you. You could choose a bottle of prosecco or 4 bottled beers per person. Everyone had opted for Prosecco. They also had a jug of orange in case you wanted to make mimosas along with a jug of water and plenty of spare glasses. Very well thought out! This is also where your unlimited pizza is served, this is pretty decent pizza too (choice of 3)! You are given half an hour to sit and enjoy this and make a start on your drinks. Once your half hour is up, you are moved to your own area to start your games of darts. Your drinks and pizza are moved with you so you don't feel rushed one bit. You get half an hour to work your way through the various games of darts which were a lot of fun! Your final half hour, you are moved back to the bar area to finish your drinks which we seemed to have quite a lot left so stayed for way longer but ! nobody was being kicked out. It's really nice to go for a brunch where you're not just knocking drinks back to get your money's worth and bog standard food.
