De las múltiples cascadas de Nueva Zelanda a cada cual más espectacular, si me tengo que quedar con una, claramente diría esta. Impresionante tanto de arriba como desde abajo. A tener en cuenta. Para llegar a la base se llega por una escalera de fácil acceso. Pero para subir la misma, ojo.

Hermoso lugar para conocer! El track baja hasta la base de la cascada y tiene varios balcones donde podes parar y tomar fotos. Está prohibido bañarse. No es muy grande la cascada pero si es un salto bastante alto.

Una cascada fantástica rodeada de un bosque mágico. Si os pilla cerca no dudéis en acercaros.

Alucinante. La playa de Ngaruni se encuentra a unos 35 Km de Hamilton y a 2 minutos del centro de Raglan. Tanto si tienes un buen nivel de surf como si eres principiante, esta playa es perfecta para pasar el día cogiendo olas. La oferta de escuelas para alquilar material o ir con un profesor que te enseñe son abrumadoras. Nosotros alquilamos las tablas con una escuela llamada Raglan Surf y nos costó 30 dolares por 4 horas, precio más que razonable dentro del mundillo. Si no te gusta el surf, la playa sigue siendo aconsejable, las vistas son espectaculares, km de playa de arena negra rodeada de vegetación y acantilados...además es una playa bastante grande en cuanto a la distancia desde la entrada a la orilla (cosa que para mi es bastante importante ya que da una mayor sensación de amplitud). A pesar de que la corriente es bastante fuerte, es una playa segura, hay una gran cantidad de socorristas que no despegan los ojos de los bañistas así que las familias con hijos pueden ir y disfrutar tranquilos mientras los niños se bañan.

Still wanting to do a trip, i discovered this hidden gem in Raglan and reached out to see if any tours were running. As i was driving down from Auckland en route to Rotorua, i could only do one day and no one else had booked as yet. Harry was my contact and stayed in touch the whole time, trying to gather more people for the day so they could run the tour. The time came and it was still just me, but Ben was willing and able to take me out. I paid a bit extra (at my request) for this to happen, but it was worth every cent, and still such good value. Ben was fantastic and couldn't have asked for a better guide. Energetic, confident, interesting and just a great presence to be around. His love and knowledge for the outdoors was infectious and i learned a lot - even got to sample some Kawakawa and Hangehange as we passed through. I jumped off and abseiled down waterfalls, hiked up stream and down stream in rocky and slippery terrain and rock climbed a steep water fall. Ben was a great support any time my confidence wavered, always double checking safety equipment and i left with a great sense of pride for having conquered Raglan Rock. Gorgeous views along the way, perfect weather, and Ben even provided some great restaurant tips for my stop over in Hamilton. Thanks guys for the best day, this was a huge highlight of my visit to NZ. I'm so glad my plans got changed! Hope to see you again in a future venture.
