A family friendly, well maintained walk. The first section of the trek takes you through lovely native bush and you come out at the top of the falls with 2 viewing platforms, you can then walk down the stairs to a mid-way viewing platform and then right to the bottom.

Beautiful place to visit! It’s about a 10-minute walk to the upper lookout, and another 10 minutes (around 250+ steps) to reach the base of the falls. Totally worth the effort the views are stunning from both levels. A great reminder of how incredible nature is and the wonders it creates. Must-visit spot if you’re around Raglan!

Absolutely stunning place to visit! We went to Bridal Veil Falls with family and kids, and it was an unforgettable experience. The walk to the falls is easy and beautifully maintained, surrounded by lush greenery and peaceful nature sounds. The viewing platforms at different levels give breathtaking views of the waterfall — truly picture-perfect! It’s safe and family-friendly, with plenty of spots to stop, rest, and take photos. A must-visit if you’re exploring the Waikato region — nature at its finest!

Beautiful falls. Nice view from bottom. Can be slippery in rainy season. Prefer not to swim. Power of water is unbelievable. Small falls but very attractive. Must visit.

Nice place. Only a 5-10 mins stroll from the car park. There’s 4 different viewpoints, the bottom one is probably the best but it’s 235 steps down and back up again, although not overly strenuous. Waterfall was raging after all the recent rains.

A lovely and easy walk thru the trees to the top of the falls. Moderate fitness if you are taking the steps going to the bottom of the falls. We went 1/2 way to the middle look out. A great view.

This place is quite the gem and one of the highlights when visiting Raglan. A short relaxing walk through the forest followed by an option to view the waterfall from 3 different vantage points. Getting to ground level will be challenging for those with physical limitations as it’s a steep decent and climb back up to the car park. Viewing it from the top is already very majestic. Going to the base of the waterfall is definitely worth the effort if you are up for it. I got a good appreciation of the size and beauty of the waterfall from there. Highly recommended if you are in the area.

The whole experience was excellent. Easy to book on line, and as we were on a caravan site, and our friends were in a cabin they ensured we were quite close together. The shower pressure the best we have experienced in the ablution blocks. Everything was meticulously clean, and staff friendly and helpful. An excellent facility, and a 15min walk to town.

We stayed for only one night in our campervan. All facilities were very well maintained and and kept clean. During our stay we had an unfortunate incident which our van key sanpped in the door of the van. Gillian at reception was more than helpful. She helped call local services who could help and told us not to worry about checking out late. Very helpful staff at this campground! Dan and Anna.

A really great experience. A friend and I only camped for 1x night, but we were impressed with the facilities, location and the friendly staff. Only stink thing was our early start (5am) and the kitchen being locked! No complaints however, so still 5/5 🙂

Location is good and convenient. Toilets are clean as well as their kitchen area. I would definitely recommend to have a small shop inside as they have big camping area and holiday park

Really well run site. Spacious campervan parking, on grass but it held up well to all the rain. Big clean bathrooms, kitchen and laundry. 5 mins hot showers which were good. Even have number plate recognition for getting in and out. Short walk to town across the bridge although this can be dark and wet depending on the time. Recommended

Friendly helpful staff. Clean amenties, showers were very clean, water pressure and temperature bloody awesome. Safe n secure feeling..

Great food, friendly service and perfect for families. A great spot on the outskirts of Raglan with an awesome indoor area with a small play area for the kids and a great outdoor space with a playground. We ordered the vegan gnocchi, beef burger and kids nuggets and chips - affordable and so delicious 😋

Such a cozy and quaint place to eat. Has outdoor seating with a view and it was so nice enjoying our lunch outdoors. I had the steak sandwich with fries...it was very delicious!!

Great spot to have breakfast or lunch during the summer. Food was good, just could of done with a few more chips with the chicken burger. Service was ok. Could do with a little more variety on the lunch menu. Prices ok but a bit high on some items.

Food was great, staff were also friendly . It has three space for sitting. Indoor, patio/deck, and in open on grass. Good ambience, good music. Sometimes the order may get a bit delayed, may be it was one of those days when I was there, rest everything is okay and also it's a pet friendly place and reserve just 700 m from the place .

Beautiful black sand beach. Great shells and beautiful scenery. Nice rocks on the south end that create tidal pools at low tide. We had a great time exploring. Nice changing facilities, toilets, and showers at the car park and also down at the beach.

We visited Ngarunui Beach from Hamilton and it was absolutely worth the trip! There was plenty of parking which made things stress-free, and the beach itself was stunning. The ocean was so refreshing, the atmosphere so peaceful, it was exactly what I needed to unwind and clear my mind. An amazing spot to relax, recharge, and enjoy the beauty of the coast. Definitely recommend!

Amazing beach. You can do surfing and have a quite big car park. Dont stop at the first car park you see and go to the 2nd park. You can do surfing and sea bathing. I saw there is small place where they give surfing lessons with surf board

This is a stunning beach with its black sand and. on the day we visited, its wild surf. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t great so didn’t get to spend as much time as we would have liked looking around.

Ngarunui Beach is a must-visit if you’re near Hamilton. This beautiful, well-maintained beach offers a clean and relaxing environment, perfect for unwinding. It’s also an ideal spot to catch a stunning sunset. In short, a fantastic place to visit!

Absolutely stunning place! The view from the top has to be one of the best scenic landscapes for any beach in NZ IMO. There are multiple carparks here and the walk to the beach goes down via a tarmac rd so the walk back can be a little tiring if one is not used to climbing gradients. There were plenty of surfers here and from what I saw no swimmers, you would have to be skilled to swim safely at this time of year.

Our favourite spot! The most accomodating cafe for all; a true gem! We always feel so welcome and are truly looked after every visit; this mama needs her coffee and only the best is served here. (Thanks Janelle!) My little girl loves to visit all of the staff and we are always met with a smile! Thanks again WYLD, awesome!

This place hits every time. Definitely recommend the create your own breakfast, they jazz it up to a real dish which is nice. All the flavours are always unreal too. Also great staff!

They catered to my dietary requirements with such confidence and kindness. I had the celiac-safe vegan burger, and it was amazing. There are so many gluten-free options, which makes such a big difference when travelling and wanting to feel safe and looked after. Thank you again to the WYLD team — we’ll definitely be back! 🌿✨

Lovely quirky place with very cheerful staff. Unfortunately, our takeaway coffee took almost 20 minutes to arrive and was only just warm when it did. While the relaxed atmosphere is part of the charm, the wait really pushed beyond what felt comfortable.

Hey! Waiting 30 minutes (and having to nudge a staff member) for a takeaway smoothie is actually WYLD 😩 Your smoothies are 10/10 but the service is so poor. I’m not one to do bad reviews but this isn’t the first time this has happened and I want to provide some process feedback so you’re prepared for the summer.

Honestly my expectations weren’t that high. A cafe in the sleepy surf town close to Hamilton at first glance offered a couple of basic bakeries, some with run-of-the-mill take out options and a pub. Stumbling on “The Shack” was a stroke of good luck sent from the Gods. The place has a “small town friendly” vibe, an eclectic menu of premium offering of deliciousness to suit any diet restricted or picky eater. There’s literally everything from Gen Z to Boomer catered for here… and the quality of food to rival any big city top 20 “must try” cafes. It’s a shame the view wasn’t the gorgeous raglan harbour, but then again… it if was, we probably wouldn’t have found it.

Service is amazing, the staff are so friendly and kind. The food is absolutely devine, they change it up frequently and the taste of every meal is like an explosion in your mouth. It’s pretty hard to find a good matcha latte around and these guys are up there with some of the best! Best cafe in Raglan by far 💛

Stopped here to make a plan for the day. The chili egg scramble and oat milk chai were great and hit the spot. Friendly atmosphere, comfortable to read, enjoy the WiFi, and some tasty treats.

What ist there to say?! Atmosphere was 100/10 really pleasant, staff 100/10 and the fried chicken bun at least 1000/10. Can’t wait to try all of the baked goodies!

The lamb was really good, and I liked the simple, modern presentation. The truffle aioli chips were full of flavour, and the chocolate mousse was absolutely delicious. The staff were very friendly, which made the experience even better. I’ll definitely come back next time I’m in Raglan.

A stunning restaurant! The service was impeccable - attentive without being overbearing. The food was exceptional. A smaller menu but packed with flavour and beautifully presented. A great selection of cocktails and other drinks. The decor and vibe was relaxed, cosy and sophisticated. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening here and will be back. Highly, highly recommend.

The staff were very friendly. We ordered the special of the day (made with paua) as recommended, along with pork bites and steaks. Every single dish was exquisite, and I could feel how the chef prepared each one to preserve the natural flavors of the ingredients while enriching them beautifully.

Fabulous dinner, Snapper special and Beef filet. All cooked to perfection. Very good wine selection and a fantastic expresso martini to finish. Service was great and staff were super. Would highly recommend

We celebrated a 75th Birthday at ISO a few nights ago - such a special night - the staff were VERY welcoming and friendly - the food was fantastic especially the Tuna and Oysters !!! The Birthday boy had one of ‘the best’ steaks he has tasted We would highly recommend ISO for that extra special occasion LOVED OUR NIGHT 👏🏻👌🍷🥂

One of the best pizzas in NZ! Simple but authentic choices, excellent dough and generous filling. Good size of pizza too. If we had stayed longer here, we would have returned. Excellent value for money.

This is incredibly overpriced, for two people it was $52 for our selection - which would normally be around $30 at a normal place. The sushi was nice but nothing special, avoid this due to the price unless you are a) starving or b) so rich that you dont care about price. Very overpriced for 7.5/10 sushi.

Ordered salmon sushi roll. It is horribly overpriced and low quality sushi. There is basically no salmon inside This is not salmon sushi it’s salmon flavour sushi !! Be aware!! :((

Nice big pieces compared to what you would usually expect, but also more expensive than you’d expect ($25 for 8 pieces). We went on a Sunday and I think the sushi wasn’t freshly made BUT the service was good..!

Food is average. Staff is friendly. Tables were gross and sticky. The staff must think the back of the restaurant is their storage closet. Lots of cool old surf posters on the walls to look at.

Nice spot for lunch. Sushi options can be a bit limited but the bowls are made quickly and are tasty.
