Park
Nature & Parks
Brueton Park, located in Solihull, is a combination of two parks offering a variety of attractions. Visitors can explore formal areas, a lake, woods, a conservation center, play spaces, and tennis courts. The park features scenic walking trails and family-friendly amenities for wildlife watching. It's an ideal place for leisurely strolls or fun family outings.
This park combines modern style and wild nature. It is very well maintained. The morning and evening singing of birds is fascinating. Migratory birds find rest here. I recommend visiting this park and enjoying the rest in nature.

This is a great park which is not far from the town centre of Solihull. There is also a nice big car park too with 3 hours free parking. The park itself leads through to Malvern which carries on around and up towards to the town centre. There’s a lovely lake which has benches by the side to just sit and enjoy the peace and quiet and the wild life too. Generally a lovely area to walk around and unwind whatever time of year. Recommended

Clean park, beautiful views, plenty of walks for the dog. Picnic areas and a pond.

Brueton park is a very peaceful and calm place to sit, relax and enjoy nature with the family. It has a beautiful late and nature reserve to enjoy on a nice afternoon.
Ben D — Google review
A clean park which is big enough to go round a few times to get 10,000 steps in and walk over 3.2 miles. Loved the lake. There is a park with swings, slides etc right at the rear of the park. Lots of car parking as there are different entrances I would highly recommend. There's nice paths for either bikes or walking
Amara B — Google review
Really nice place for a walk. I live a few towns over and had never been. , there's a cafe and a large kids playground which is great. Loads of places to walk, several park areas and a wetland area. Limited toilet facilities and the car park is tiny though. Car parking is free for the 1st 3 hours and they got an attendant wandering around. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely park for a stroll even in the wind and rain.. Gorgeous in the Autumn 🍃

Beautiful and large park with lots of trails. It's actually 2 parks connected as one. The lake was beautiful with a shallow part for wading. The kids loved it.

Small, intimate theatre. Seats are well positioned and the stage is low, which makes it easy to see the performance. Pity I don't live locally or I'd visit more often.

Great theatre, with every seat having a good view apart from the obvious couple of seats front each side. Also has a good range of amateur shows which are always very professionaly produced at a fraction of the price of a touring pro show. The pictures are from last week's amazing amateur production of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat"

Shopping mall
Touchwood Solihull is a large, popular shopping mall in the heart of Solihull. It features high-street stores and restaurants as well as fashion and beauty brands. It's a great place to visit if you're in the area, and its convenient location means you can easily walk to nearby attractions.
Quite a nicely built set-up with many outlets and a decent food court. There's a nice mix of the usual basic high street brands, and a few more upmarket ones. It's an easy walk from the train station, or alternatively a substantial carpark is available. It's always been very busy when I've visited and you can easily end up spending many hours here.

One of the more upend parts of Birmingham. Clean and beautiful. Lovely place. The city centre is a happening place with lots of options for shopping and enjoying different kind of foods. One can find many a leading brands here. Better google whatever you are looking for and you may be surprised to find it here.
Razi R — Google review
Touchwood Birmingham offers an incredible shopping experience with a perfect blend of premium and popular brands, all under one roof. The clean, modern design and well-thought-out layout make it easy to navigate and enjoyable to explore. I noticed how engaging the store displays were and how smoothly the customer journey flowed from entrance to purchase. The atmosphere is vibrant, with plenty of dining options to take a break and observe different shopper behaviors. It’s not just a place to shop, but a great example of how retail spaces can be designed to enhance customer experience. Definitely worth a visit!

Clean, tidy and unusually busy. Quite a few independent shops make a pleasant change from the many ‘cloned’ shopping centres.

Nice surprise ! A compact local shopping Mall in an nice area if Birmingham, with great brands ! Lots of parking lots, at a fair price.

I'd never been before but I would definitely visit again and I signed up to their email updates. They have interesting stuff and it's all reasonably priced. I didn't intend to buy anything but walked out with three things! 😂 The store was clean and the staff were friendly too. Keep up the great work ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Mike L — Google review
We enjoy coming here mainly for the events they put on throughout the year which are often free. There are a good selection of shops and restaurants in and around the shopping centre and parking is not too far away. The shopping centre is not that big but there’s enough for an afternoon/evening out. Also, the local park/playground is within walking distance from here.
Kate P — Google review
Great shopping centre with a brilliant collection of shops, some High Street names like M&S and the ever excellent John Lewis Department store plus a wide variety of eating and drinking opportunities. I visit regularly and would recommend.

The park offers a variety of outdoor activities such as walking trails, football fields, tennis courts, and children's playgrounds. It features diverse wildlife habitats including woodlands, meadows, ponds, and wetlands.
Massive park full of paths to walk with your friends or pets. A lake and a decent playground for kids. Definitely recommend it for relaxing in the weekend.
Thanos T — Google review
Beautiful and Peaceful Park We always visit this park as it is spacious and well-maintained it is. There's plenty of open green space, which makes it perfect for a relaxed stroll with your children and dogs. The playground is a hit with kids – clean, safe, and full of fun equipment. One of the highlights is definitely the lake. It’s home to swans, ducks, and a variety of birds, making it a peaceful spot for birdwatching or just sitting by the water. The walking paths around the lake are ideal for anyone who enjoys a scenic walk – and it’s very dog-friendly, too! I saw several happy pups walking with their owners and even a few enjoying a splash near the shore.
Anna C — Google review
Elmdon Park is a fantastic place to visit, especially if you’re a dog walker or just enjoy being outdoors. There’s so much open land to explore, making it perfect for long, relaxing walks. One of the highlights is the lake – the walk along it is particularly beautiful during sunset, with gorgeous reflections across the water. The park is well looked after and feels very peaceful, making it a great spot to unwind. A little tip for visitors: be mindful around the swans, as they can sometimes be aggressive, so it’s best to keep a safe distance. Overall, a lovely local park worth visiting.

Elmdon Park is a hidden gem, and I'm so glad I discovered it! I'll definitely be back for another relaxing morning stroll. Perfect for nature lovers and those seeking a peaceful retreat from the city. Don't miss the beautiful pond and walking trails!
Santhoshkumar R — Google review
Amazing place! I deem this to be the park to find most wildlife in Birmingham I found herons egrets a rabbit a woodpecker mice tadpoles tiny frogs big frogs a fox and even a crayfish? And in the good weather seasons I take a walk here every evening! I even feed ducks and found adorable baby ducks coots moorhens and swans! This place used to have geese but now I don't know where they are.. But that's ok... there are also berries that grow here they're pretty sweet! And apples! But.. the apples never seem to ripe.
Meer Y — Google review
Staying with friends in Solihull I was looking for a place for a walk and was introduced to Elmdon Park. This place is huge with loads of paths and trails. There’s a play area for the kids, a large pond or 2, football area and when you climb the hill there’s good views over the area. You could easily make up a 5 km walk. This park leads on to other open areas for an even bigger walk. Dog and kid friendly.

Lovely park, full of nature and some upgrades taken place over last year. Unfortunately some information points have been vandalised reading “white lives matter”.

Museum
Nature & Parks
Blakesley Hall Museum is a well-preserved Tudor house in Birmingham, dating back to 1590. It offers visitors a glimpse into the city's agricultural past with its classic Tudor architecture and original fixtures. The museum is located in the suburb of Yardley and features picturesque gardens that provide a tranquil escape.
We visited as a family for the first lot of Tudor Christmas Tours and we weren't disappointed! Plenty of things to see and really immerse yourself in what life was like in Tudor times, and afterwards, for both the landowners and for the people working and living there. Our tour guide was wonderful, really knowledgeable, and our daughter loved it too. We'll be back in the summer to see the gardens in full bloom!
James F — Google review
Really interesting visit - super knowledgeable guide spent quality time with myself and my husband to explain some of the history and then we were able to take whatever time we needed to look around. Office team were also really helpful as we signed up for a museum pass - looking forward to exploring other places across Birmingham and will go back for another visit to Blakesley Hall when the weather is a bit warmer!
Ali T — Google review
If you like historical buildings, this is a good one. 1590s build, with additional work over the centuries. Great guide, knowledgeable and interesting, delivered with a bit of humour as well. Overall the staff were lovely, the grounds immaculate and the house well presented and interesting.
TRXnMe — Google review
This place is a hidden gem. Takes you back to the good old days. Last time I came here was in primary school. A good 20 years ago. The blakesley has been maintained very well. The courtyard is free to roam and take some picturesque photos. Some many apple trees, white flowers and yellow flowers. To into Blakesley there is a £8 charge for adults and £4 (I think) for children. They also have a small shop for which you can purchase merchandises and small gifts. There's also free parking on site.
Adil R — Google review
Had a lovely afternoon out for Apple day on October 3rd. They had lots of things for the kids to do and and a craft fair was on in the hall, it was brilliant. The hall itself is wonderful and there are guides there that can answer any questions you have. The building was built in 1590 but Is impeccably maintained. There's a little family room upstairs with toys and games and stuff. The stairs are quite steep and might be a challenge for some people. The site isn't massive but there's a nice cafe and a small garden to walk around. I think we will definitely go back in the future.
Art M — Google review
Beautiful house in a beautiful setting. The guides are extremely knowledgeable and are fantastic with children. The hall itself is kept very well and laid out as it would have been back then, with some exhibits kept in immaculate glass housing. There is also a café and shop which are fairly well priced and you are able to bring your own food and sit in the gardens when the weather is good. Also highly recommend getting some of the lavender goods which is grown on site.
NapZ — Google review
Beautiful gardens and an amazing house to look at. We didn't go inside as it was around £18 for a family ticket and we were a little short of cash this month!! I'd definitely go inside when I'm flush though as we looked through the windows and it looked awesome inside.

Was a falconry day which the kids enjoyed. Me my partner our eldest (5 years old) did the house tour. The guide was fantastic and kept involving our son to keep him engaged. Would definitely recommend it if you have an interest in the history of England / Birmingham

Under the expert guidance of Chef Maz Rahman, this elegant eatery offers a modern twist on traditional Indian cuisine, featuring beautifully crafted dishes that are both innovative and visually stunning. The restaurant boasts an inviting atmosphere with intimate seating options and a stylish main dining area that enhances the overall experience.
We were seated in a quiet, intimate room on the main floor, but the upstairs main dining room was beautiful, also. Our dinner was delicious with generous portions. The staff were gracious and attentive. The prices were quite reasonable. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and will take friends with us next time.

We went here for date night! Beautiful interior and a lovely atmosphere. My goats cheese pizza was gorgeous and so flavoursome. One of the biggest pizzas I’d ever had! Unfortunately, my boyfriend’s steak was overcooked. He did wait to inform the waiter but no one came to check on us to see if everything was okay. We appreciate the restaurant was very busy that evening and we would like to come back again soon.

amazing place!! we’ve been here many times and the food has consistently been beautiful!! service from Dan has also been amazing every single time we’ve had him and he’s made birthdays, Christmas and even just a quick meal out very special. Visited carluccio for a Friday lunch. We haven't been here for a few years and as surprisingly we both had a Friday off together I looked for a Solihull restaurant that would suit our needs and was reminded of carluccio. It was a lovely autumn day and although they have a lovely outside dining area we chose to eat inside. We were greeted warmly and professionally by Ethan and were seated straight away. I was sat on the bench seat but being small I couldn't rest my back so we adjusted the table towards me so I could (perhaps some cushions could help here either set out or the waiter asking if a cushion is needed. Little touches make the difference sometimes). Ethan was discrete and left us to peruse the menu before taking our order. We had the bread basket and olives to start. The bread was varied and lush and one of the things I always judge an Italian on is their choice of olive oil which carluccio have just right, it had just the right aftertaste of pepper which I like. For a Friday lunch the place was bustling and throughout our meal people came and went so a great atmosphere. For the mains I had the mushroom risotto with added chicken and was pleased to receive a portion size that suited my lunchtime appetite. It was delicious. The other half treated himself to a steak and fries with a pepper sauce. I was surprised that on the menu they only have one cut of steak, however it was cooked as he asked for it. The only problem was the quality of the meat. He said the fat on the outside was chewy/gristley and when I looked I could see that the steak had not been trimmed of sinew. Perhaps a chat with their butcher and for the chef to check would help this situation. What a shame cause the other half was looking forward to his steak treat, however the fries were a redeeming feature and I had to taste a few to confirm both they and the sauce were spot on😁. Overall a lovely afternoon of chat, good food, great service and atmosphere. We'll be back soon.
Louise R — Google review
The only main vegan option is tomato pasta which was disappointing. Unimaginative and expensive for what it was. I went with friends but would personally go elsewhere if I had the choice. Service was good and the general restaurant is nice.
Luke M — Google review
The culinary journey at this restaurant is nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment you take your first bite, you're enveloped in a symphony of flavors that captivate the senses. Let's start with the salted chicken – tender pieces of chicken marinated in a delicate blend of spices and salt, resulting in a dish that is both succulent and flavorful. Each bite reveals layers of complexity, with the seasoning perfectly complementing the natural sweetness of the chicken. Next up is the seafood rice, a dish that transports you to the shores of distant seas with its bounty of fresh seafood. Succulent shrimp, tender squid, and plump mussels mingle with fragrant rice, creating a harmonious fusion of land and sea. Every spoonful is a delight, with the flavors of the ocean dancing on your palate. And then there's the confit duck, a masterpiece of culinary craftsmanship. The duck is slow-cooked to perfection, resulting in meat that is meltingly tender and imbued with rich, savory flavors. The skin is rendered to a crispy perfection, providing the perfect contrast to the luscious meat beneath. But it's not just the individual dishes that shine; it's the meticulous attention to detail that elevates the dining experience to new heights. Each ingredient is carefully sourced and expertly prepared, ensuring that every dish is a masterpiece in its own right. With prices ranging from £9-10 per dish, this restaurant offers exceptional value without compromising on quality. And with the added incentive of a 50% discount on your next visit when you keep your receipt, there's even more reason to indulge in this culinary delight.
YUEN — Google review
We got the pasta, it was okay but really bland. Not worth the price. Even the tea with ‘sweet treats’ was mid - the sweet treats were 3 bites.
Ayesha H — Google review
On friday I had the pleasure of dining at Carluccio's restaurant. I ordered pasta while my friend chose pizza—both dishes were absolutely delicious. What truly made the experience exceptional, however, was the outstanding service from Silvia. She was warm, attentive, and genuinely made us feel welcome throughout the meal. Wonderful food and top-notch service—thanks to Silvia for making our visit so memorable!"

Managed to easily get a table for an early evening meal, seated with space next to us which is pretty good for a Wagamama! Nice atmosphere inside until busier rush later on in our visit, can feel a little cramped but that’s this style of dining. Server was a little odd, I understand that you have to be friendly and chatty with customers but, the tone and wording just did not seem to comprehend like, the interactions were just not what I’d want from a server each time, no kind of grasp of social cues. Anyway… The food was great and didn’t have to wait too long for any of it. Struggled to pay as the wrong table number had been written for us, and the signal is absolutely terrible in there! But overall enjoyed our time there.

It has been at least 10 years not stepping in Wagamama. We gave it a try today and not a bad experience, I must say. The reception was very welcomed he led us to a table and offered high chairs for my little one. He advised us who would be coming to take orders, and we have been given times to look at the menu for drinks and food. Reene also explained what a kids combo was when I asked. We had downloaded the wagamama Apps club member and will get a free edamame (steamed soy beans). We had chicken katsu rice (curry sauce on top of battered chicken above a big pile of rice), roasted pork belly marinated in Korean BBQ with noodle soup (Ramen). The chicken katsu portion is worth the money, and the ramen broth is absolutely delicious . Ramen soup broth is tasty with a little spicy kick. Four slices of pork belly mixed in half lean meat and half melted fat is absolutely devined. Crunchy seaweeds, half spring egg also good in the whole combination. The reason I voted 4 stars on food quality is the noodles lacking of character. Ramen is meant to have its own elasticity and with a little bite. This bowl ramen has lost that kind of spirit but is too soft, broken, and doesn't need to chew just down while I prefer the bity ramen. Mini katsu rice was plateful and yummy and it was perfect to end with the vanilla ice cream. All in all, we loved it ,the ambiance, environment, and friendly service. Thank you, we will be back.

I went into Wagamama Solihull this evening and I came across a very lovely young man his name was Josh , I am absolutely wowed by him , I went in unsure what to order he discussed the menu to meet my dietary needs , he explained everything to me and I was very pleased with what I ordered . More than anything I was pleased with his helpfulness. I work in retail & I’m in leadership , he is every employers dream !! While I was waiting for my order , although it was a take out he got me seated and offered me water or green tea which I was absolutely amazed by . He deserves a raise and I believe Josh should be cloned . Thank you so much Josh I will be returning soon with my family 🩷
