We arrived on Wednesday evening 16-10-24 around 18:15. According to the opening hours on Google Maps and on the entrance the castle should have been open - but was not. It was a windy but otherwise beautiful evening, and we were rather disappointed that our plan to see town and beach in the last golden sunbeams came to nothing.

I enjoyed the visit and the funny guy dressed in those times. It doesn't have an elevator to go upstairs . But the rest of the Castillo was very good

This is one of my most favourite beaches! Parking available up the hill. About 15-20min walk down. Dont wear flip flops if you can help it. Waves were very harsh but very enjoyable.

Gorgeous small stones on the beach make it really comfortable just with a towel; no chair needed.

Good food but extremely expensive for not reason!! Eating fresh fish in other restaurants in the area and provide high quality food and bigger portions for same amount of money.

We went to this restaurant wanted to eat the squit, recommended by some friends and internet too, but they haven't stock of the product, little bit dissapointed, nevertheless we decided to stay and ordered, for the starter a mix of little squids, shrimps & mussels, for the two mains, red tuna & Ox beaf and for the dessert a mousse of tangerine. All was amazing, very good products and the dishes very well executed.

Good local beer, quality food, friendly and attentive service, fair prices. Recommend it & would come again.

Sunday lunch of grilled top quality meat on wood burning BBQ and homemade chips. Not cheap at 50€ each with ( good) wine no desert. Missed a 5 star as welcome was average but got better.

The place is fantastic. The food is excellent. We did not book but I think it is wise to in the future. The solomillo was perfect. A starter salad for three and three lots of meat main course wine and coffees just over €100. Brilliant.

Bad manners as well from one of the waiters saying it was full not even looking me in the eye as if he was the Queen of England. Kept the card to call another day to that same number no one answers... Update: so they were kind enough to answer my complaint and ended up increasing the review one star. Message to the owner: you don't need to be super dependent on the phone, just use EL TENEDOR like everyone else and you'll be fine. Oh, and by the way you turned down a nice young couple just because they had a dog. Absolutely incredible. Every time we visit we have the best steaks of our lives, and make sure we book a table every time we visit Carboneras. The quality of the food is outstanding and would highly recommend to anyone thinking of visiting.

Great value menu del dai, which was served promptly. Lovely bottle of Rioja to go with it ( I am surprised at the cost of a bottle of wine in spain though when eating out). This was 16 euro, which is cheaper than some. Good portion and lovely sitting out on the beach front. Staff were very good 👍

A warm welcome to a restaurant in a great location, right next to the beach in Carboneras. The Menu del dia is very nice & comes well presented, warm & tasty. 3-courses of good proportions of food. It was a warm & sunny day when we were there, but the canopies kept the table area cool & comfortable. A very enjoyable meal in a beautiful setting.

This is a sea front restaurant with frontage to the beach and sea, just a pedestrian area before the sand. So therefore wonderfully free of traffic smells or noise. It’s a no frills place with prices that initially look on the high side. But a wonderful choice of seafood and the quality of the ingredients and cooking justify the price tag.

Not the cheapest place, but good. The entree of smoked tuna was delicious, the big plate of fried fish had a lot of variety and was very tasty. We would have liked some sauces with the breads. Entree + Plate (which was enough for 2) + 3 drinks a little under 50 euro

Nothing sophisticated. Good food but nothing to shout about. My fried squid were clearly cooked in old oil and dishes didn't come out at the same time. We were told desserts were homemade, but instead they were frozen. We complained, but there was no interest. Toilets were also beyond filthy.

What a great place to eat overlooking the Mediterranean. The staff were super friendly and very helpful and the food could not be beaten - the turbot was outstanding. All this and very reasonable prices too. I thoroughly recommend this place if you are in Carboneras.

Recently converted from a bar to a fish/sea food focused restaurant. The food is good and very well priced. The fish is local capture - comes directly from the boat. The business is family ran and the staff is very friendly and accommodating.

Fantastic beachside location with nice food. We initially had great service from what I imagine to be the owner, halfway through a younger lad served us. We asked him to erect the umbrella and as he did he knocked over my partner's beer, which went over his food and his clothes. We ordered another beer to replace the lost one, which was brought out some time later. When the bill came we had been charged for the spilt beer...and no apology of the spillage was ever made. It was an enjoyable meal, even fairly humourous given the circumstance but I'm not sure I'd rush back also given the circumstance!

We ordered a certain bottle of wine and they brought is a different one, proceeded to uncork it and explained that it was the same but different label. We tasted it and sent it back because it was nothing like the one we wanted. Eventually the brought the right wine but reserva instead of crianza.
