We arrived on Wednesday evening 16-10-24 around 18:15. According to the opening hours on Google Maps and on the entrance the castle should have been open - but was not. It was a windy but otherwise beautiful evening, and we were rather disappointed that our plan to see town and beach in the last golden sunbeams came to nothing.

I enjoyed the visit and the funny guy dressed in those times. It doesn't have an elevator to go upstairs . But the rest of the Castillo was very good

Simple basic beach with nothing special about it. Many stones and not a great deal of sand. Untidy with rubbish in places that must have washed down from the rambla behind. Very popular with fishermen and walkers. The huge unfinished hotel is something to see and wonder why someone decided to build it here. Access would have been restricted by the narrow road and beyond the precipitous coast road from Mojacar making it difficult to get to for the prospective tourists. I think it's worth visiting for a walk but I wouldn't want to spend a day on the beach here.

We had such a good time here. Not full at all during peak season. Easy parking and dogs allowed.

I really liked this beach, clear water, not too busy, free parking but no toilets. One for the naturists too, so the abandoned hotel and it's cranes won't be the only junk you'll see.
