Bistro
The Imaginarium Bistro, situated at the Metropolitan Cathedral Steps in Mount Pleasant, Liverpool L3 5TQ, is a unique and intriguing establishment. Despite its unusual appearance, this hidden gem offers a warm and inviting atmosphere. The friendly staff make every guest feel welcomed, even accommodating those with young children. Although the menu may appear limited at first glance, everyone can find something to be excited about as the food is of excellent quality.
We held a private party at the gorgeous Imaginarium Roundhouse and it is the perfect venue. Right in the heart of Prescot, bubbling with character and rich history of the theatre company which shares its name, you could spend a whole evening just looking at the pictures alone! Robyn was so helpful during the booking and evening and all the staff went out of there way to make sure we had everything we needed including our own music. We had a buffet which was a tasty curry with selection of other treats and they even catered for all our dietary requirements too. Excellent evening, exactly what we needed and highly recommend. Thank you so much to Robyn and team

Lovely food place in Prescot. Gave 4 stars, only because the menu is quite limited . The food we did have was absolutely delicious, the cocktails where fab! Starters and mains where beautiful. Really cosy quaint place and fantastic service from the whole team that work there. Will definitely return.

Staff were lovely but that's where the positives end I'm afraid. Wasn't aware when we booked a table that we'd be sat in a tent outside but apparently you can ask for a table inside although that didn't appear to be an option when we went. Service was slow, very slow. Starters were ok but pretty bland. Sirloin steak was like a shoe despite asking for it medium rare and the lasagne was pretty uninspiring. Thought about complaining but to be honest just wanted to leave and forget about it. Won't be going back.

Amaaaazing place!! Loved the food, best roast I've had in a restaurant to date, generous portions, great prices, lovely staff, great music and amazing interior. Just love this place.

Started out a lovely day! Ordered starters and let the kids have a play. Kids food come and the nuggets tasted of pepper! Then a few hours later we ordered our mains. 3 specials a burger and a pasta dish. 2 specials, the burger and a pasta dish come out. The pasta dish was a children's portion (which was recifified immediately (amazing) but the last special didn't arrive and no mention of it. We asked about 20 minutes later (when we seen a waitress/waiter) to which we were told oh yes I will check. Come back about 10 minutes later (as the whole table had finished their meals) to advise they had no specials left! So meanwhile everyone had finished their meals, I had no meal and got told what do you want me to do about it by the manager! The manager was absolutely disgraceful, her attitude was unbelievable and she should not have a business if she cannot take accountability for their actions! I then ordered a steak medium (as the manager said I can do this for free) and it come stone cold and more rare than medium. So we took this back to be told by the chef, "i sent this out 10 minutes ago so not my problem!" So I had no meal what so ever as I went passed hungry by then! We put a review on before we left (after we asked for the bill) to be confronted by the manager, the owner and the chef screaming in our faces about the review! We had young kids with us and had been there since 2pm and we had been nothing but understanding to waits etc but to be confronted with such anger was a disgrace! We was told to leave and not pay but just to get out, which we did as our children had gotten upset but the situation! Looking at previous reviews on how others have had a bad time at the restaurant and how management had handled the situation, was our experience! Will not been returning at all. Disgraceful!

Excellent tapas, staff were fantastic. Having free craft anions for the kids is brilliant, as was the afternoon show

Chinese restaurant
Nestled just a short stroll from the Shakespeare North Playhouse, Sing Ping Restaurant is an enchanting destination for anyone seeking a delightful pre-theatre dining experience. This charming eatery specializes in authentic Peking and Cantonese dishes, each crafted with care to deliver genuine flavors of China. The intimate atmosphere combined with warm hospitality makes it an inviting spot for food lovers. With its cozy setting and attentive service, guests can savor delicious meals at their leisure without feeling rushed.
Great food. Great service. Great atmosphere. Only a small restaurant but big in value. Booking recommended. Not wheelchair accessible and no legal on street parking but carparks available within a short walking distance. Highly recommended. Takeaway also available but collection only.

First visit to this little restaurant for us and mixed feelings... the food we tried was good & to the standard we we're hoping for, portions were of a good size & the service was good. Now the minus points - there is little or no atmosphere in this place a lot due to the white ceilings & walls with very bright lighting above more like a canteen or cafe, it's crying out for some ambient lighting & perhaps some background music you can hear. There is very little Chinese themed decoration and it's quite compact inside giving little room to navigate between the tables... Priced slightly less than mr ho's ( 5 mins walk away) but the trade off for me was it didn't have the same feel.

Love sing ping The food is gorgeous and always tasty and very hot The people are gorgeous and the service is ace The best Chinese around Knowsley We live in Huyton, and its ten mins away They do collection also, if u want takeaway The drinks selection is great and nice and cold No rush to get you out Its small so booking is recommended But we will always go back As we love it.

Popped in by chance at 6pm after reading the reviews, small restaurant but all tables but two were taking . So next time I'll book. We ordered Banquet B we changed our main meals to crispy chilli beef and char sui satay , the whole banquet was amazing , will use it's takeaway service also very soon. Service was very fast and smooth, food was fresh and boiling hot couldn't fault it .

Just eaten here and it was fantastic. Food was served within minutes of ordering and was so hot I think satan may have cooked it himself. Really tasty and decent portions. Would definately recommend.

Trust the reviews people, this little Chinese Restaurant is a must very small restaurant with a big menu, but the quality and taste of all the food we had in our Banquet was amazing, the reviews ain’t wrong and that’s coming from someone who seems to find fault in many restaurants 🤣, But seriously it was very hot very tasty and very friendly staff we also changed the main meals for different ones and the food arrived very quick without any waiting considering all the tables were full, well done sing ping 👏 we had a great time ❤️

Pub
Wellington's Wine Club is a popular spot for pre-theatre dining and post-show drinks. The menu features a variety of cheese, charcuterie meats, artisan pizzas, and local chutneys made from ingredients sourced from nearby suppliers. Visitors have praised the quality and preparation of the food, noting that while the presentation could be improved, the meals were excellent with good portion sizes and minimal wait times.
Great pub. Decent food. Good selection of beers. Very friendly staff. Especially Lilly behind the bar. I watched her help an elderly woman struggling to walk up the outside steps, sat the lady down then an hour or so later she walked the lady out of the pub, down the steps into her car. Refreshing to watch a young Lady with excellent customer care.

Beautiful building, very large and perfectly lit. Had some geezer playing a guitar and sports on the tellies. Very nice chilled place when it's not busy! Can get hectic but the staff are still friendly and attentive Last i went for 2 pints and some lemonade but spent over £20! Crazy 😅

I went today with a friend for the Sunday carvery. It was excellent. The meat was beautifully cooked and very tasty. We will definitely be going back for the carvery but are also going to go on curry night!!! Sounds delicious. The live music on Saturday nights is also really good. Fabulous atmosphere

Booked a table for 4pm and when we arrived there was nobody eating so we ordered with trepidation in case the lack of diners was a bad sign. How wrong we were! The quality of the food was excellent and it was all prepared to a good standard. With a little attention to detail in terms of presentation, the wellie would really be a place to rave about. The presentation did not in any way detract from how nice the meals were I might add. Portion size was good and the wait wasn't long at all. For the price, the value for money is very good. We will definitely go back. The two ladies who looked after us were very friendly, helpful and attentive and scored extra service points for asking was everything OK with our food 5 Mins after we started to eat. This is vital to ensure a great customer experience and not enough waiting staff do this,so hats off girls you did a great job. The beers we had were nice and fresh and crisp which means good cellar practices and the shandy was well proportioned. Desserts were lovely although the sauces had bled a little bit in the heat. Heating the brownie for the top of the sundae is a lovely touch as well. All in all, a great meal in a nice clean friendly place at a decent price. Highly recommended. Well done the wellie!

We usually have Sunday roast at The Grapes but they were fully booked so we decided to try The Wellington. The food was tasty enough, and so we were a little baffled as to why there were very few tables occupied. The reason for this became apparent, the service. As we sat down and began to eat and chat over lunch, one of the staff brought out a hand-held hoover and began to hoover food from the floor at the table next to ours, so our conversation ended as we couldn't hear each other. I definitely don't want to hear hoovering when I go out to pay for my Sunday lunch. At no point did the staff member approach us to apologise in advance or after for the interruption, and why on earth could they not use a dust pan and brush? After we finished our main course our plates sat on top of each other at the end of the table for over 15 minutes. I thought this was odd as there were no other occupied tables around us and 3 members of staff were standing nearby talking. Suddenly, right in the middle of our conversation a different staff member yelled as she approached us "Have ya finished then?" 1. It was obvious we had finished as both plates were empty on top of each other at the end of the table. 2. Polite customer service dictates an approach with "Excuse me, let me take these plates for you. Are you ready for you dessert? We had pre-paid at the bar for the 2-course main and dessert, but we waited over 25 minutes and eventually had to ask a third member of staff for our dessert. "Oh, I'll go and find out for ya" - no apology. Then another staff member came over, also barging into our conversation "I've asked in the kitchen for ya, so it should be out soon" - again no apology. At this point I wanted to ask for a refund for my dessert as I wanted to leave but my dinning partner wanted to stay for their dessert. The waiting-on staff at The Wellington need training in customer service and common courtesy. Needless to say, we both agreed that we would not be retuning, and we suspect this has been the experience of past diners as the number of empty tables were testiment to this. Such a shame as the food is tasty and pub is lovely, but the staff made me feel extremely uncomfortable.

Yada is a fantastic venue with exceptional service, delicious food, and a welcoming atmosphere. The staff's friendliness adds to the overall enjoyable experience. The generous portions of tasty food and the amazing decor make it an ideal stop at any time of day. Additionally, its proximity to a free car park adds to its convenience. Visitors have praised the salt and pepper wrap, fries, halloumi bites, and fresh smashed burgers for their excellent taste.
The setting is great, laid back yet high quality. Range of food and drinks are brilliant especially the cold coffees! Food is always high standard and served quickly. Staff are boss especially Danielle who always goes above and beyond.

Great service from the staff, they couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. Our party of three all enjoyed our meals, mine being the salt and pepper chicken burger which was excellent. Portion sizes are sensible and all reasonably priced. Good selection of drinks including Irn-Bru on tap (What's not to love). The place has a nice atmosphere and was busy even on a Thursday evening at 17:00 which is always a good sign ! Car park handy near by only a short walk away. Highly recommend and would definitely re-visit :)

We visited Yada earlier today for the first time and it definitely won't be the last! The restaurant itself is very clean, with an efficient layout and cool design. We sat at an end booth which was equally clean and tidy and had everything you need, such as menus and condiments, etc. The lady who took our order was so warm and friendly and even took the time to talk to our young son and daughter and it made their day to be included like that. The order was put through swiftly and efficiently. The food arrived shortly after via another lady who was also very friendly and efficient and she made sure we had everything we ordered, including cutlery, etc. The food was just wow, it's honestly some of the best we've had and the portion sizes were generous, especially for the kids meals. Our order consisted of a BBQ Burger, Salt and Pepper Chicken Burger (this deserves a shout out on its own), Salt and Pepper Fries, Sweet Potato Fries, Kids Beef Burger Meal, Kids Chicken Strips Meal and two milkshakes, one was vanilla and the other was Bueno. There wasn't a thing any of us didn't like, it was honestly that good. All in all it was a great experience at Yada from the moment we walked in and once we left, all we could talk about was when we'll be going back. Fantastic place, keep up the good work, we'll be back!

Me my daughter, granddaughter and her cousin visited Yada last week we got a few of the loaded chips kids burgers , nuggets and shared a 1/4 pounder and chicken burger between me and my daughter . Wasn't too fussed on the beef burger( daughter liked it though ) everyone loved the chips we all liked the nuggets . But the crowning glory was the CHICKEN BURGER oh my word , it was better than SEX . My daughter said she liked it more than KFC and that is really saying something . So , all in all I will be going back even if it's to get a chicken burger as a takeaway. To be eaten in a darkened room on its own with some northern soul🤣🤣❤️❤️

Outstanding service, food and venue. The friendliness of the staff made our visit so enjoyable. The food was delicious and the portions very generous. The decor was amazing, this is an ideal stop off anytime of day, it’s also just around the corner from a “free to use” car park.

Fez Prescot is a delightful dining destination that truly enhances your culinary experience, especially before a theatre outing. Nestled in the heart of Prescot, this charming eatery offers an array of seasonal cocktails and authentic Italian dishes that set the perfect tone for an evening out. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it feel like a hidden gem compared to some of Liverpool's more upscale venues.
Great restaurant! Visited on a Saturday night as a date night. Had a couple of starters and Pizza. Food was lovely, the arancini arrived without mushroom at first but the waiter took it back and the chef apologised and provided a new item, no quibbles which is exactly why you’re asked if everything is okay with your meal. Very impressed

Lovely experience at Fez last night. We dropped in on the oof chance as we had been for a drink and were hungry. Lovely reception, attentive, great environment and excellent Italian food. We had King Prawn and Arancini, with Pizza and Carbonara to follow. Very reasonable £55 with a glass of wine each. It’s a great addition to Prescot

Best roast dinner EVER!!! We have just returned from Fez with a belly full of what i can only describe as the most delicious, flavoursome roast dinner. I can say hands down its the best restaurant for a roast dinner i have ever had, and i have had a lot!! Not only is the food hot, colourful and full of beautiful tasty ingredients it also has great customer service and very friendly staff that comes with an art decor interior. The chef has mitchelin style qualities which is evidenced through his style of presentation and flavours. I already can't wait to go back again. Thanks to all the staff especially the chef!

Fez, Prescott – A Hidden Gem That Outshines Liverpool’s High-End Dining Tucked away in Prescott, Fez delivers the sort of dining experience that would make some of Liverpool’s most exclusive restaurants blush. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm and unpretentious, but the food is anything but ordinary. The prawn starter was nothing short of exceptional – perfectly cooked, juicy, and bursting with flavour. The seasoning was spot-on, letting the natural sweetness of the prawns shine, while a subtle hint of spice gave each bite a gentle kick. It was one of those starters you wish you’d ordered as a main. Then came the mushroom risotto, which can so easily be heavy or bland in less capable hands – but here, it was a masterclass. Creamy, deeply savoury, and layered with rich earthy notes, the rice had just the right bite. Each spoonful was pure comfort, yet refined enough to hold its own against anything you’d find in Liverpool’s top-tier venues. What really sets Fez apart is how it manages to combine outstanding cooking with genuine hospitality – no pretension, just quality. If this place were in the heart of Liverpool, you’d be paying double, and it would still be worth every penny.

Had a roast dinner on the Sunday. The portion size was more than reasonable, and each part of the roast was delicious. The beef was cooked to perfection and the red wine gravy was delicious. I rarely right Google reviews but the food was that good i needed to.

Delicious food. This is a restaurant that knows how to deliver great customer service. We had a great pizza meal on Friday, and returned for a wonderful Sunday lunch on Sunday. The wait can be a while but it’s worth it, and the staff are great. Don’t miss this place !!
