Kasai Rinkai Park is a vast waterfront green space in Tokyo, offering stunning views of Tokyo Bay and beyond. The park features five distinct zones, including the Kasai Rinkai Aquarium and Avian Garden Watching Center. Visitors can enjoy lush gardens, a BBQ area, and scenic pathways throughout the park.
There's a ferris wheel, an aquarium and free access to the intertidal area. The walk through the park itself is beautiful and very calming, lined with trees and spotted with park benches. A truly great spot to relax away from the crush of the city because of how large the entire area is. Really worth taking a few hours within Tokyo in.

Kasai Rinkai Park is a very beautiful and spacious park with plenty to do for all ages. It is well connected with its own station, making it easy to access, and also has a huge parking area for those driving. The park features designated barbecue spaces, fishing spots, and long running paths that make it ideal for outdoor activities. There is also an observatory and a large Ferris wheel that give great views of the area. With so much to explore, you can easily spend three to four hours here just walking around and enjoying the natural surroundings.
Umashankar S — Google review
This is an aquarium run by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. Of course, you can just enjoy the incredible fish, but what really stands out are things like the feeding times, instructors immediately answering kids' questions, and even an exhibit showing actual trash found in Tokyo Bay. It's a fantastic place for building awareness about environmental issues and fostering respect for nature.
Futoshi M — Google review
It’s a beautiful park by the Tokyo bay. There are many different functions for different people. I mainly came to watch their designated areas for birds watching. The directions to the area from the entrance were very clear. There were about 5 to 6 areas but there were not many birds in fact. The last place gathered more professional photographers using their telescope lens but variety of birds were limited.
Satsuki H — Google review
Very nice park you can enjoy with your family, you can ride the steel wheel to see Tokyo, also there's birds sanctuary, it's a nice park but my advise is to make this visit to the last as it's not expressing Tokyo

Tokyo Sea Life Park was free to public on 10/10/2025 for its 36th anniversary. Good little getaway from Tokyo!

Spent my final day in Japan to be in nature and did not disappoint. Quiet, calming, family friendly.

Amazing place, the atmosphere was really nice and relaxing. Was not too crowded on a Thursday morning. Spent about 2-3 hours there including lunch and a ferris wheel ride. Would definitely picnic there if I were to visit again.

Aquarium
Nature & Parks
Tokyo Sea Life Park, situated near Tokyo Bay, is a modern aquarium showcasing marine life from around the world. The park's glass dome entrance leads visitors to impressive exhibits featuring sharks, eagle rays, penguins, and a 2,200-ton doughnut-shaped tank housing an enormous shoal of bluefin tuna. The aim is to recreate aquatic environments from across the globe and local areas like Tokyo Bay.
This aquarium is in the nearby of Tokyo, very easy access the train station is at 300 meters. From the terrace we had a fantastic view of the Tokyo's bay. They have a good restaurant and bar. The represent the sea life of the Japanese marine habitat . The staff is very kind and gentle, they also have the attention and patience to answer to all the questions from my children. Please if you have time come to see the nice aquarium, it is also very close to Disneyland Tokyo

Visited during Tokyo Citizens Day which was a mistake since I had to skip a few exhibits, but the variety and displays I did see were lovely! It's a nice place that is absolutely worth the price of the regular ticket because it has cool areas such as a touch tank that even expensive aquariums in Tokyo don't offer. I'll definitely visit again on a quieter day.

Amazing marine life experience! Tokyo Sea Life Park is a fantastic place to explore the ocean world up close. The aquariums are well-designed, clean, and showcase a wide variety of marine creatures, from colorful tropical fish to majestic penguins and seals. The park is family-friendly, educational, and perfect for a relaxing day out. Great for kids, couples, or anyone who loves marine life and photography!
J _ — Google review
just visited Tokyo Sea Life Park, tucked away in the scenic coastal setting of Kasai Rinkai Park in Tokyo. It’s very convenient to reach: from Tokyo Station take the JR Keiyō Line to Kasai-Rinkai-Koen Station, and from there it is only a 5-minute walk to the aquarium entrance. Once inside you’ll be immersed in an incredible marine world: one of the signature exhibits is the vast donut-shaped tank holding hundreds of bluefin tuna, a truly memorable sight. The facility also features one of Japan’s larger penguin habitats and a plethora of species from tropical seas, temperate zones, even arctic waters — over 600 different sea-creatures and many unique habitats. For getting there, if you’re coming by car note that the aquarium has no dedicated parking lot, so it’s highly recommended to use the train, especially on holidays and weekends. After your aquarium visit, you can stroll around the surrounding Kasai Rinkai Park — enjoy fresh sea breeze, views of Tokyo Bay and the large Ferris wheel in the park. Practical tip: allow at least 1–2 hours for the aquarium portion; if you plan to also ride the Ferris wheel or explore the park grounds, budget half a day. Overall, Tokyo Sea Life Park offers a relaxed alternative to busier Tokyo aquariums — ideal for a calm, memorable outing with nature, sea-life and waterfront scenery.”
Rinaldisign — Google review
Overall not that bad, but not good either. Ok for little children but even if there are multiple species, the aquariums are far too little. The sharks and fish seemed bored, they kept circling in their very reduced space. It was really heartbreaking. Penguins are a little bit better treated but they only have a concrete environment. There also are seabirds in cages with no space to fly at all. I wouldn’t recommend to support this kind of captivity. The place was also very overcrowded and loud (public holiday so it makes sense) at the point where it was difficult to see the fish at all. I recommend spending time and money on other attractions as this one didn’t stand out.
Romane M — Google review
It’s a decent aquarium for what you pay for which was 700 yen. It was cool to see all the different fish they have from around the world. The tuna were really cool to see but they are in a really small enclosure for how many tuna there are. Penguins where cute and seem to be chill. Decent place to kill some time after walking around the park.
Frank — Google review
My husband and I took our 10 month old son to this spot last month. It was a week day so it was not crowded at all. He was able to look at all the sea creatures at his own pace. We also went on the ferris wheel and it was so fun. My husband and I definitely had a great time reading all the information beside the fishtanks.
Allie W — Google review
For 700 yen as entry fee, this place deserves more than 5-stars!! The aquarium of fishes and organisms were centered around various parts of the world. I had an enjoyable time reading and identifying the fishes in the tank. Some fishes were so peculiar and the entire experience was so educational for someone with little knowledge about aquatic animals and fish. There is also a Humboldt penguin zone (super cute; though I worried for the poor birds in the summer heat) and a tide pool zone (where you can touch and feel some organisms). Because we entered the aquarium late, we did not have sufficient time to visit the gift shop and fully appreciate the jelly fish zone. Do allocate more than 1 hour here! I hope to be back again one day.

Theme park
Water & Amusement Parks
Nestled within the enchanting Tokyo Disney Resort, Tokyo DisneySea is a captivating theme park that boasts seven uniquely themed ports of call. Opened in 2001, this sprawling 176-acre wonderland attracts millions of visitors each year, making it one of Japan's most beloved attractions. With its nautical themes and thrilling rides designed for older teens and adults, it's an ideal destination for those seeking adventure.
Had a great time at Tokyo DisneySea! Got there around 8:50AM and managed to get in pretty quickly when the park opened at 9AM. Definitely recommend getting your tickets ahead of time and having the Disney Resort app on your phone for access to maps and wait times. Priority passes can only be purchased after your ticket has been scanned, which is why so many people show up early. These passes go fast, so check for some of the popular rides soon after getting into the park to save yourself some long wait times. If you want to go to both parks, split it up between two days if possible. Also know that there is a good distance between the entrances so taking the monorail is a must if you have to go to both in one day. Tickets to ride the monorail do cost money, so I recommend having cash on hand. I didn't have a Suica card, but that would likely work, too. Of the two parks, DisneySea was my favorite. There are so many details to keep an eye out for. It was absolutely gorgeous, rides were great, and I would love to go again.
Angel E — Google review
Before anything else, I want to say that this was our fourth visit to Tokyo DisneySea. All of our previous visits were absolutely wonderful — the romantic atmosphere, the cool and comfortable weather, the beautiful decorations, and the fun attractions. Even though some rides had very long waiting times, everything still felt worth it. We truly loved the place. However, this visit was the first time we felt deeply disappointed. It seemed like the number of guests was far too high, to the point that we could barely queue for any of the popular rides. Most of the attractions we wanted to experience had waiting times of around 100 minutes or more, and many rides were in the same situation. It felt as if the park was focused mainly on selling as many tickets as possible, without considering whether guests inside the park could actually enjoy the attractions comfortably, or whether the crowd level had become excessive. This issue really affected our experience, and it made us very sad to give such a low rating to a place we truly love. We sincerely hope that these problems will be addressed and improved in the future.
Tony — Google review
They do not sell physical tickets like California or Hong Kong and Shanghai’s does. All tickets are in the form of e-tickets. If you’re looking to get one for keepsake, it’s not happening. The park was very different from Disneyland, so much to do! From rides, to shops to photo opportunities, you can get so much out of it! I’d recommend spending at least 2 days here to be able to comfortably enjoy everything. Else, prepare ample time when you visit. The cast members were kind, approachable even with language barrier and helpful. Plenty of fun and cute souvenirs to buy that are exclusively to DisneySea only. Be sure to visit the store right beside/below Fantasy Springs Hotel inside the park. They have a handful of exclusive merch for the hotel. You don’t have to be a hotel guest to purchase them. The park has different feels during day and night time. If your budget allows, definitely visit either Disneyland and or DisneySea to build unforgettable memories with your friends, family or even yourself! While you’re at it, try some curry popcorn. It was 😗🤌🏼👌🏼!

azing experience at Tokyo DisneySea! The park is beautifully designed with incredible attention to detail, and each themed area feels like stepping into a different world. The shows, rides, and nighttime entertainment were all fantastic. The staff were friendly, helpful, and kept everything running smoothly despite the crowds. Overall, it’s one of the best theme parks I’ve ever visited and absolutely worth the trip. Highly recommended!

Tokyo DisneySea offers an incredible day out, but the true highlight is the nighttime lagoon show and fireworks around 7:30 p.m. As the park darkens, the Mediterranean Harbor transforms into a glowing stage where water, light, and music come together in a spectacular performance. The show features sweeping laser effects that dance across the water and buildings, creating vivid patterns and shimmering colors. Paired with dramatic music and Disney melodies, the atmosphere feels both magical and cinematic. Fireworks are timed precisely with the soundtrack, bursting above the lagoon and reflecting beautifully on the water’s surface, which makes the whole harbor feel like it’s glowing. Viewing spots around Mediterranean Harbor fill up quickly, so it’s worth finding a place at least 30–45 minutes in advance for the best experience. The show can be slightly different depending on the season or special events, which adds a nice element of surprise for repeat visitors. While rides and themed areas at DisneySea are outstanding, this 7:30 p.m. show is what truly ties the day together. It feels like a grand finale that leaves you with that classic Disney sense of wonder and nostalgia as you head toward the park exit.

We visited Tokyo DisneySea last November 27, 2025 and had an amazing time. We took the direct bus from Skytree Town, which took around 30 minutes and was very convenient. It was quite crowded, so some of the popular attractions had wait times of over an hour. We ended up buying Premier Access for Tower of Terror and Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure to make the most of our day. There was light rain in the afternoon and evening, but it didn’t take away from the experience. The absolute highlight was the Believe! Sea of Dreams show at 19:30. The lights, music, and fireworks were spectacular and definitely worth staying for. Overall, it was a fun and memorable visit despite the crowds and rain.
Sherwin B — Google review
It was great. Well, organized and a Little different than Disney in America. How about the special Sando with the truffle mashed potatoes and the Roast Beef? .That was weird. Otherwise, it was a great trip. And the show at 7:30. Call the sea of dreams was extremely moving and had a medley of all songs that I could have asked for in my favorite Disney movies.(I really love tangled.) The train was easy to navigate and it made sense.. Overall, this seems like the more adult Disney side of the resort.
Evan B — Google review
So much fun! All the different worlds were really cool and much cheaper than universal! The fast passes work great once you get into the rhythm of the Disney resort app. 10/10 recommend! Definitely go on a Tuesday or Wednesday if you can. We went on a Wednesday in November and didn’t feel crazy busy at all.

Gyosen Park, located in Edogawa Ward, Tokyo, is home to the charming Edogawa Natural Zoo. This cozy and admission-free zoo may not have large animals, but it offers a delightful variety of smaller creatures such as rabbits, guinea pigs, sheep, and goats. Children can interact with these friendly animals at the petting area during specific sessions.
Very big and scenic place. Good to spend a peaceful day. There are also koi fishes in the pond, they are so beautiful. Also adjoining to the Gyosen park, there is a large playground area. It is free to use and nice place to relax or play.

This park was small but it’s very relaxing. It has a pond, a small covered waiting area and lots of trees. There’s also a baseball courts nearby where you can see happy students playing. We actually stayed there for few hours until we headed back to our hotel.

Really beautiful and well-kept Japanese-style garden here, with a large pond with an abundance of beautiful koi fish. I have been here twice now, mod day and in the evening, and I have always seen someone working and cleaning in the garden. This place makes me calm and happy.

I finally returned after more than 5 years. This time I was able to visit the zoo because the last time I went ( pre-pandemic ) it was closed because it was a Monday. The zoo has free admission. Restrooms are available. The animals seem well-cared for. There are penguins, anteaters, wallabies, monkeys and others. It's a popular spot with the locals, it seems.

Outdoor Activities
Edogawa City Nature Zoo, established in 1986, is a small yet charming zoo located within Gyosen Park. While it may not feature large animals like elephants and pandas, it offers a delightful array of smaller creatures such as rabbits, guinea pigs, sheep, and goats that visitors can interact with at the petting area during specific sessions. The zoo is also home to Humboldt penguins, Bennetts wallabies, spider monkeys, red pandas, and giant anteaters.
The zoo is about a 10-minute bus ride away, and I visited during February, when the weather was quite cold. The location is easy to find, and there are signs indicating which animals can be found in each area. While the zoo is not very large and the number of animals is limited, each one is charming and delightful to see. Surrounding the zoo, there is a playground where parents and children can enjoy some outdoor exercise.
GazzY P — Google review
This place is tiny and you could walk through in under an hour, but overall it was pretty chill. It feels very communal and informal because it’s a free zoo you can just walk into, but they have some pretty neat animals despite that. I was just personally underwhelmed because it was so much smaller than I expected, so just know it’s a small place. Still fun though and I’d recommend it if you’re interested/in the area.
Max Y — Google review
It's a free zoo! And most of the animals were quite active despite the rain. I really enjoy walking around the zoo and the surrounding parks. As others mentioned, it was small. We stayed a little more than an hour as we found the animals interesting to watch.

I came here late Jan, on the weekday. The zoo is a small cute place, inside the park. And free. I think it's worth to visit for a chill day

I give 5 stars to this small zoo which is free for all. The park is lush green with streams of water having many colorful fish… highly recommend to visit if you are staying nearby
Shahzad S — Google review
The zoo is free but it is very very small with narrow/small area for both animals and visitors. Suitable for residents of the surrounding area but not really worth going for tourists.
Yen L — Google review
A pleasant little zoo, free entry, and wonderful staff, if you’re in the area and have a little bit of time to pass it’s definitely worth checking out.

Latest visit Jan 09 2025. Beaucoup winter day. Animals are out in force... Great. Even the red panda was playful. The penguins kept singing. Nice morning. We shall be back. _--------_----- Small but ideal place to initiate kids to the animal world and teach them to respect these creatures. Relaxed atmosphere, families enjoying the outdoor, kids having a great time.

Mexican restaurant
EL TORITO Nishi-Kasai is a vibrant Mexican restaurant located in a district with plenty of dining options. The restaurant offers a variety of dishes including tortillas, fajitas, tacos, and set menus accompanied by margaritas. Visitors to the area can also enjoy family-friendly events such as the Edogawa Goldfish Festival and Edogawa River Fireworks during the summer.
Lots of delicious options even if you don’t eat red meat. Relatively few options if you are a vegetarian, but the cheesy jalapeño bites (I might be forgetting the actual name) were hands-down delicious. The restaurant itself felt like a usual ファミレス. I will definitely visit again!
Utkarsh S — Google review
Imagine a burrito without any beans. That is the reason for the low rating. May be another highly localized Mexican restaurant. I tried the chicken burrito and was very disappointed. It was edible but then the choice of ingredients was very very disappointing. Also the serving size is on the smaller side.
Saurabh — Google review
This Mexican restaurant delivers a strong value proposition if you want bold flavours without operational friction. The space is large enough to absorb weekend traffic while still keeping the energy high. Service moves quickly which helps you get from order to first bite with minimal wait. The food hits the mark across the board and the chicken wings in particular outperform expectations with impressive flavour and texture. Parking is conveniently located right next to the restaurant which removes the usual pre meal hassle. Overall a dependable spot that combines scale, speed and consistently good food in one seamless experience.

Another Holy Guacamole moment! Mexican food always got my attention in Tokyo. I couldn't resist the lure of El Torito in Tokyo. I had carne and pollo. The Japanese are really good at imitating foreign cuisine. Whenever I eat a tortilla, I feel like a fragile Vietnamese spring roll wrapper. And it is strange for me to listen to Cuban or some salsa dance music instead of mariachi. Maybe any Spanish-language music is fine at Mexican restaurants for the Japanese.LOL.
Mark T — Google review
The food was as usual. Delicous ish but not to die for. The service was what I hated, first of all the restaurant wasn’t even busy and they took a little less than an hour to bring our small amount of food. Then we asked for a tortilla refill and after waiting for so so long, we asked them when it’s coming and they had forgotten and another employee got it for us quite late again. But before all this when we pressed the call button no one came and the next table pressed way later and they came to them and we called again and then they finally came. Honestly it’s not always like this but it’s been a long time since I last visited so I guess they changed.
Parama M — Google review
Stepping back into El Torito Nishi Kasai after half a decade was like opening a time capsule filled with flavors! The Spicy Jalapeno cheese balls were little orbs of fiery pleasure, delivering a heat that built up to just the right crescendo, perfectly paired with the cooling relief of the house dip. The enchiladas and burrito? Let's just say they've been marinating in my memories for years, and they lived up to every single spice-infused recollection. The enchiladas were a soft, tender embrace of corn tortilla and melting cheese, while the burrito was a hearty, flavor-packed fiesta that unfurled with each bite. The sauces weren't just accompaniments; they were the zesty conductors orchestrating a symphony of taste that danced across the palate. Dining at El Torito Nishi Kasai is more than a meal; it's a sensory journey back to a time of joyous culinary discovery. The ambiance hasn't lost its warmth, and the nostalgia envelops you like the comforting blanket of familiar scents and tastes. It's a reminder that some things—like good food and cherished memories—only get better with time. #ElToritoNostalgia #MexicanMagic #FlavorTimeCapsule

A [would come again / 還會再來] · I came for the lunch special and stayed for their all-you-can-drink soup · their fajita dish tastes like a mix of Japanese + Mexican (flavorful but missing a bold kick) · ingredients taste very fresh · chicken was juicy while beef was tasty but not the most tender · 5 fresh tortillas that will fill your stomach up · the cutest robot waiter wears a little sombrero… 10/10 for style points O.O · their vegetable soup was light + comforting (my highest record was 4 bowls) · the vibe inside actually feels like visiting a Mexican restaurant (although some parts were dirty) tldr: their all-you-can-drink soup has a special place in my heart

Very interesting Mexican restaurant in the heart of Nishitokyo. They have amazing menu that changes every few months. They also have vegetarian food options, and they can alter the menu to make it vegetarian. They accept cash, credit card and PayPay. Try their avocado cheese fried balls. Also their jalapeño cream cheese fry is also an interesting take! Must reserve before coming as it gets really crowded in the weekend and holiday evenings. Their cocktails are tasty too!

Conveyor belt sushi restaurant
Sushiro is a popular conveyor belt sushi restaurant in Japan that offers a wide variety of fresh and seasonal options. The menu constantly changes, providing an ever-changing dining experience. Customers enjoy the affordable prices and generous portions, making it great for families. While the sushi may not be exceptional, it's still good quality compared to Japanese restaurants in other countries. The restaurant provides a fun and spacious environment with English menus available, making it suitable for foreigners as well.
It took me two years to finally try Sushiro and I’m so glad I did! I’ve always been hesitant about raw food, so sushi wasn’t something I gravitated toward. But over the past year, I slowly built the courage to give it a shot, and visiting Sushiro felt like a turning point. Every bite was a delight, and the quality truly exceeded my expectations. The standout for me was the basil-topped smoked salmon,so flavorful I kept ordering it again and again. I only wish I had tried sushi sooner. Sushiro is a fantastic entry point for sushi newbies like me! The only negative was the waiting time. It was way too crowded on a weekend. Huge parking lot and free car parking.

Sushi was good, not GREAT. However, the prices were great. For 2 adults and 1 children, we spent roughly $30 and we certainly ate a ton of Sushi. I don't have any real complaints ( the place is on the 2nd floor, walk-up only. So be careful if you bring a stroller ! )

Abara Daikon is a must-visit dining spot in Japan. The food is described as phenomenal, with exquisite and savory dishes such as Garlic Pork sticks, bacon-wrapped asparagus and boiled egg, fried chicken, chicken meatball sticks, and chicken noodle soup. The staff is praised for their helpfulness to non-Japanese speakers by providing an English menu and assistance in ordering. Visitors are encouraged to stop by for a delightful meal and friendly service.

Phenomenal food, don't miss this place!!! We've been in Japan for almost 2 weeks now, have tried lots of different dishes and delicacies, and this meal is tied for the best we've had so far. Every mouthful was exquisite and savored. We ordered a selection of food which included: Garlic Pork sticks, asparagus wrapped in bacon, boiled egg wrapped in bacon, fried chicken, chicken meatballs sticks and the chicken noodle soup. Everything was 5 Star in quality and taste. However, if I was to reorder I'd remove the chicken meatballs. As a bonus, the restaurant's staff were warm, welcoming and appeared to be having a genuinely good time. Tip 1: Get the following... Boiled egg wrapped in bacon, enjoy it, but leave some of the Japanese mayonnaise on the bottom of your plate. Then take the fried chicken pieces and run them in the mayo/bacon juice.

This is a retro/traditional restaurant with some out-door seating. The furniture is Western but Japanese in execution (low to the ground by American standards) with bells on the tables. Bang once for the check. Use Yen. There is a hostess, she will seat you and bring the Establishment's English menu. Order as a group. You can count to five in Japanese. So one and one make one. But two means two. Get the picture. If two (or more) comes on one plate you serve yourselves onto the little plates/bowls and then eat it. Their specialties are fire and enthusiasm--served with beer. Pan blackened ofal tastes much better than it sounds and I'm sure it has a nice Japanese name. The sashimi was to die for. All of it served on hand-thrown, Zen-compliant pottery.

This place should be avoided if you are a tourist. Menu in English has different prices then menu in Japanese, waitress didn't remember our order and we were getting all the time dishes that we didn't ask for and finally when we got a grilled pork that we ordered it was not good at all. We were very disappointed with food and service.

Chinese restaurant next to Kasai station. Good Chinese food and was happy to find back some good pork sour sauce and soups. Gyoza are also pretty good.

Everything was very salty. Fried rice and spicy beef were not edible due to the high salt content. Would not recommend.

(Translated by Google) I visited for lunch on my first visit. I arrived around 11:35 on a Saturday. It's located in a quiet area close to Kasai Station. The restaurant is clean and has a calm atmosphere. I was shown to a table on the second floor. While enjoying beer and shochu, I ordered chicken with soy sauce, stir-fried water spinach, two types of dumplings, stir-fried chicken with cashew nuts, and stir-fried celery. Every dish was carefully seasoned and delicious. The stir-fried chicken with cashew nuts was a bit surprising, as it had a sweet and sour sauce, but it had its own unique flavor. I was also very satisfied with the wonton and half fried rice lunch I had to finish off my meal. The restaurant is well-balanced overall, making it a relaxing place to enjoy a meal. I would definitely like to visit again.

(Translated by Google) The interior of the restaurant was calm and relaxing, like something you'd find in Yokohama Chinatown. I wanted ramen, gyoza, and rice, so I ordered some extra rice. It was delicious. However, I can't help but wonder if there are any more flavors that surpass my imagination. The interior was also clean, so it would be a nice place to take people.

Very nice soba noodle,we try two flavor salt and soy. I would prefer salted because that wouldn’t be too salty. And the braised pork belly is amazing. Highly recommend.

I visited the other day after a long absence. The taste was very simple and tasty as same as in the past. It is soup and noodle which does not get tired even if you eat it everyday.

Famous Ramen shop in Kasai ! The taste is quite delicious ! It’s that as thick as normal ramen in Tokyo ! This one is a lot lighter ! And they also sell spam Musubi ! Price is normal and the location is quite close to Kasai station !
