Kasai Rinkai Park is a vast waterfront green space in Tokyo, offering stunning views of Tokyo Bay and beyond. The park features five distinct zones, including the Kasai Rinkai Aquarium and Avian Garden Watching Center. Visitors can enjoy lush gardens, a BBQ area, and scenic pathways throughout the park.
There's a ferris wheel, an aquarium and free access to the intertidal area. The walk through the park itself is beautiful and very calming, lined with trees and spotted with park benches. A truly great spot to relax away from the crush of the city because of how large the entire area is. Really worth taking a few hours within Tokyo in.

Kasai Rinkai Park is a very beautiful and spacious park with plenty to do for all ages. It is well connected with its own station, making it easy to access, and also has a huge parking area for those driving. The park features designated barbecue spaces, fishing spots, and long running paths that make it ideal for outdoor activities. There is also an observatory and a large Ferris wheel that give great views of the area. With so much to explore, you can easily spend three to four hours here just walking around and enjoying the natural surroundings.
Umashankar S — Google review
This is an aquarium run by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. Of course, you can just enjoy the incredible fish, but what really stands out are things like the feeding times, instructors immediately answering kids' questions, and even an exhibit showing actual trash found in Tokyo Bay. It's a fantastic place for building awareness about environmental issues and fostering respect for nature.
Futoshi M — Google review
It’s a beautiful park by the Tokyo bay. There are many different functions for different people. I mainly came to watch their designated areas for birds watching. The directions to the area from the entrance were very clear. There were about 5 to 6 areas but there were not many birds in fact. The last place gathered more professional photographers using their telescope lens but variety of birds were limited.
Satsuki H — Google review
Very nice park you can enjoy with your family, you can ride the steel wheel to see Tokyo, also there's birds sanctuary, it's a nice park but my advise is to make this visit to the last as it's not expressing Tokyo

Tokyo Sea Life Park was free to public on 10/10/2025 for its 36th anniversary. Good little getaway from Tokyo!

Spent my final day in Japan to be in nature and did not disappoint. Quiet, calming, family friendly.
Marco L — Google review
Amazing place, the atmosphere was really nice and relaxing. Was not too crowded on a Thursday morning. Spent about 2-3 hours there including lunch and a ferris wheel ride. Would definitely picnic there if I were to visit again.

Aquarium
Nature & Parks
Tokyo Sea Life Park, situated near Tokyo Bay, is a modern aquarium showcasing marine life from around the world. The park's glass dome entrance leads visitors to impressive exhibits featuring sharks, eagle rays, penguins, and a 2,200-ton doughnut-shaped tank housing an enormous shoal of bluefin tuna. The aim is to recreate aquatic environments from across the globe and local areas like Tokyo Bay.
This aquarium is in the nearby of Tokyo, very easy access the train station is at 300 meters. From the terrace we had a fantastic view of the Tokyo's bay. They have a good restaurant and bar. The represent the sea life of the Japanese marine habitat . The staff is very kind and gentle, they also have the attention and patience to answer to all the questions from my children. Please if you have time come to see the nice aquarium, it is also very close to Disneyland Tokyo
Filippo S — Google review
Visited during Tokyo Citizens Day which was a mistake since I had to skip a few exhibits, but the variety and displays I did see were lovely! It's a nice place that is absolutely worth the price of the regular ticket because it has cool areas such as a touch tank that even expensive aquariums in Tokyo don't offer. I'll definitely visit again on a quieter day.
Elspeth E — Google review
Amazing marine life experience! Tokyo Sea Life Park is a fantastic place to explore the ocean world up close. The aquariums are well-designed, clean, and showcase a wide variety of marine creatures, from colorful tropical fish to majestic penguins and seals. The park is family-friendly, educational, and perfect for a relaxing day out. Great for kids, couples, or anyone who loves marine life and photography!
J _ — Google review
just visited Tokyo Sea Life Park, tucked away in the scenic coastal setting of Kasai Rinkai Park in Tokyo. It’s very convenient to reach: from Tokyo Station take the JR Keiyō Line to Kasai-Rinkai-Koen Station, and from there it is only a 5-minute walk to the aquarium entrance. Once inside you’ll be immersed in an incredible marine world: one of the signature exhibits is the vast donut-shaped tank holding hundreds of bluefin tuna, a truly memorable sight. The facility also features one of Japan’s larger penguin habitats and a plethora of species from tropical seas, temperate zones, even arctic waters — over 600 different sea-creatures and many unique habitats. For getting there, if you’re coming by car note that the aquarium has no dedicated parking lot, so it’s highly recommended to use the train, especially on holidays and weekends. After your aquarium visit, you can stroll around the surrounding Kasai Rinkai Park — enjoy fresh sea breeze, views of Tokyo Bay and the large Ferris wheel in the park. Practical tip: allow at least 1–2 hours for the aquarium portion; if you plan to also ride the Ferris wheel or explore the park grounds, budget half a day. Overall, Tokyo Sea Life Park offers a relaxed alternative to busier Tokyo aquariums — ideal for a calm, memorable outing with nature, sea-life and waterfront scenery.”
Rinaldisign — Google review
Overall not that bad, but not good either. Ok for little children but even if there are multiple species, the aquariums are far too little. The sharks and fish seemed bored, they kept circling in their very reduced space. It was really heartbreaking. Penguins are a little bit better treated but they only have a concrete environment. There also are seabirds in cages with no space to fly at all. I wouldn’t recommend to support this kind of captivity. The place was also very overcrowded and loud (public holiday so it makes sense) at the point where it was difficult to see the fish at all. I recommend spending time and money on other attractions as this one didn’t stand out.
Romane M — Google review
It’s a decent aquarium for what you pay for which was 700 yen. It was cool to see all the different fish they have from around the world. The tuna were really cool to see but they are in a really small enclosure for how many tuna there are. Penguins where cute and seem to be chill. Decent place to kill some time after walking around the park.
Frank — Google review
My husband and I took our 10 month old son to this spot last month. It was a week day so it was not crowded at all. He was able to look at all the sea creatures at his own pace. We also went on the ferris wheel and it was so fun. My husband and I definitely had a great time reading all the information beside the fishtanks.
Allie W — Google review
For 700 yen as entry fee, this place deserves more than 5-stars!! The aquarium of fishes and organisms were centered around various parts of the world. I had an enjoyable time reading and identifying the fishes in the tank. Some fishes were so peculiar and the entire experience was so educational for someone with little knowledge about aquatic animals and fish. There is also a Humboldt penguin zone (super cute; though I worried for the poor birds in the summer heat) and a tide pool zone (where you can touch and feel some organisms). Because we entered the aquarium late, we did not have sufficient time to visit the gift shop and fully appreciate the jelly fish zone. Do allocate more than 1 hour here! I hope to be back again one day.

Nestled within the enchanting Tokyo Disney Resort, Tokyo DisneySea is a captivating theme park that boasts seven uniquely themed ports of call. Opened in 2001, this sprawling 176-acre wonderland attracts millions of visitors each year, making it one of Japan's most beloved attractions. With its nautical themes and thrilling rides designed for older teens and adults, it's an ideal destination for those seeking adventure.
Had a great time at Tokyo DisneySea! Got there around 8:50AM and managed to get in pretty quickly when the park opened at 9AM. Definitely recommend getting your tickets ahead of time and having the Disney Resort app on your phone for access to maps and wait times. Priority passes can only be purchased after your ticket has been scanned, which is why so many people show up early. These passes go fast, so check for some of the popular rides soon after getting into the park to save yourself some long wait times. If you want to go to both parks, split it up between two days if possible. Also know that there is a good distance between the entrances so taking the monorail is a must if you have to go to both in one day. Tickets to ride the monorail do cost money, so I recommend having cash on hand. I didn't have a Suica card, but that would likely work, too. Of the two parks, DisneySea was my favorite. There are so many details to keep an eye out for. It was absolutely gorgeous, rides were great, and I would love to go again.
Angel E — Google review
They do not sell physical tickets like California or Hong Kong and Shanghai’s does. All tickets are in the form of e-tickets. If you’re looking to get one for keepsake, it’s not happening. The park was very different from Disneyland, so much to do! From rides, to shops to photo opportunities, you can get so much out of it! I’d recommend spending at least 2 days here to be able to comfortably enjoy everything. Else, prepare ample time when you visit. The cast members were kind, approachable even with language barrier and helpful. Plenty of fun and cute souvenirs to buy that are exclusively to DisneySea only. Be sure to visit the store right beside/below Fantasy Springs Hotel inside the park. They have a handful of exclusive merch for the hotel. You don’t have to be a hotel guest to purchase them. The park has different feels during day and night time. If your budget allows, definitely visit either Disneyland and or DisneySea to build unforgettable memories with your friends, family or even yourself! While you’re at it, try some curry popcorn. It was 😗🤌🏼👌🏼!

azing experience at Tokyo DisneySea! The park is beautifully designed with incredible attention to detail, and each themed area feels like stepping into a different world. The shows, rides, and nighttime entertainment were all fantastic. The staff were friendly, helpful, and kept everything running smoothly despite the crowds. Overall, it’s one of the best theme parks I’ve ever visited and absolutely worth the trip. Highly recommended!
Shao H — Google review
This park is the most visually stunning park we have ever been to! It is massive and breathtaking! The rides are fantastic! This park is very crowded! We decided to wait until 30 minutes after the park opened to arrive, which avoided the massive crowds entering. We also did a vacation package with unlimited priority pass. With the priority pass we were able to do the entire park in one day. Be prepared to wait in lines for food.
Will G — Google review
Im not a hardcore Disney person but grew up experiencing multiple trips to DW and Epcot as a youth and DL and CA adventure as a Cali resident. So I was pleasantly surprised how beautiful and breathtaking this park was! The imagineers did an outstanding job of making such a compact space feel real at the same time otherworldly. That being said…. Hot damn you need a plan or more than one day to ride things here especially because it was busy. We tried buying the ‘fast passes’ aka DPA but the ones we wanted never came up when we needed. We mistakenly waited in line for over an hour for Tower of Terror. Don’t. This was a stupidly SHORT and disappointing ride, not at all like the CA one now Marvel ride. Should have focused on the Frozen and Tangled rides as these are the “new-new” and DS created rides with the latest bells and whistles but of course those never had DPA open and wait times were always 90+mins. Didn’t have a problem with getting food, then again we were not bent of trying specific foods either. Again, if have only 1 day here, you gotta have a solid plan to realistically probably only ride 2-3 specific rides, or for how long you can stomach standing in line or just go where the wind takes you. Being that tickets here are a fraction of USA Disney parks, we didn’t feel bad skipping out to enjoy our hotel and come back for the night shows.
Elizabeth N — Google review
Tokyo DisneySea is beautiful but be ready to line up for a very long time. Went in the middle of the week in beginning of October, and it was packed with people and students. If you’ve never been, research the rides you’d like ahead of time, know if they are opened and where they are located. Bring a small foldable stool if possible. Disney chicken leg and gyoza dog were worth a try!
J H — Google review
It was great. Well, organized and a Little different than Disney in America. How about the special Sando with the truffle mashed potatoes and the Roast Beef? .That was weird. Otherwise, it was a great trip. And the show at 7:30. Call the sea of dreams was extremely moving and had a medley of all songs that I could have asked for in my favorite Disney movies.(I really love tangled.) The train was easy to navigate and it made sense.. Overall, this seems like the more adult Disney side of the resort.
Evan B — Google review
Disney is Disney! Line up was nuts! More than an hour at the very least on the more famous rides. We obviously didn’t pay 20$ to skip because we think it’s not worth it to pay $20 per person with 11 people in the family! Details on everything is perfect though! They kept the high standards and good quality from the buildings, from the tiniest detail to largest and also the staff! They were friendly and respectful to guests! The rides were good! Fireworks. Meh! If you’ve been to Disneyland or world, the fireworks here is probably like 1/4 of what the other parks have. Not worth the stay and stop to watch fireworks. I’d rather just continue with the rides and check out the stores.

Zoo
Outdoor Activities
Edogawa City Nature Zoo, established in 1986, is a small yet charming zoo located within Gyosen Park. While it may not feature large animals like elephants and pandas, it offers a delightful array of smaller creatures such as rabbits, guinea pigs, sheep, and goats that visitors can interact with at the petting area during specific sessions. The zoo is also home to Humboldt penguins, Bennetts wallabies, spider monkeys, red pandas, and giant anteaters.
The zoo is about a 10-minute bus ride away, and I visited during February, when the weather was quite cold. The location is easy to find, and there are signs indicating which animals can be found in each area. While the zoo is not very large and the number of animals is limited, each one is charming and delightful to see. Surrounding the zoo, there is a playground where parents and children can enjoy some outdoor exercise.
GazzY P — Google review
This place is tiny and you could walk through in under an hour, but overall it was pretty chill. It feels very communal and informal because it’s a free zoo you can just walk into, but they have some pretty neat animals despite that. I was just personally underwhelmed because it was so much smaller than I expected, so just know it’s a small place. Still fun though and I’d recommend it if you’re interested/in the area.
Max Y — Google review
It's a free zoo! And most of the animals were quite active despite the rain. I really enjoy walking around the zoo and the surrounding parks. As others mentioned, it was small. We stayed a little more than an hour as we found the animals interesting to watch.
Jamie — Google review
I came here late Jan, on the weekday. The zoo is a small cute place, inside the park. And free. I think it's worth to visit for a chill day
My T — Google review
I give 5 stars to this small zoo which is free for all. The park is lush green with streams of water having many colorful fish… highly recommend to visit if you are staying nearby
Shahzad S — Google review
The zoo is free but it is very very small with narrow/small area for both animals and visitors. Suitable for residents of the surrounding area but not really worth going for tourists.
Yen L — Google review
A pleasant little zoo, free entry, and wonderful staff, if you’re in the area and have a little bit of time to pass it’s definitely worth checking out.
Leo C — Google review
Latest visit Jan 09 2025. Beaucoup winter day. Animals are out in force... Great. Even the red panda was playful. The penguins kept singing. Nice morning. We shall be back. _--------_----- Small but ideal place to initiate kids to the animal world and teach them to respect these creatures. Relaxed atmosphere, families enjoying the outdoor, kids having a great time.

Very big and scenic place. Good to spend a peaceful day. There are also koi fishes in the pond, they are so beautiful. Also adjoining to the Gyosen park, there is a large playground area. It is free to use and nice place to relax or play.

This park was small but it’s very relaxing. It has a pond, a small covered waiting area and lots of trees. There’s also a baseball courts nearby where you can see happy students playing. We actually stayed there for few hours until we headed back to our hotel.

Really beautiful and well-kept Japanese-style garden here, with a large pond with an abundance of beautiful koi fish. I have been here twice now, mod day and in the evening, and I have always seen someone working and cleaning in the garden. This place makes me calm and happy.

I finally returned after more than 5 years. This time I was able to visit the zoo because the last time I went ( pre-pandemic ) it was closed because it was a Monday. The zoo has free admission. Restrooms are available. The animals seem well-cared for. There are penguins, anteaters, wallabies, monkeys and others. It's a popular spot with the locals, it seems.

Heisei Garden is a relatively small but beautiful park in Tokyo, featuring a charming small house by the water and a peaceful atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy watching ducks resting their wings and even spot a fishing pond that can be freely used. The area also boasts a large park, making it an ideal spot for picnics on sunny days. Tokyo Disneyland is a magical extension of the beloved theme park experience, nestled in the vibrant Chiba Prefecture. This enchanting destination offers an array of thrilling rides, captivating live shows, and delightful encounters with costumed characters that bring your favorite Disney stories to life. Visitors can immerse themselves in the whimsical atmosphere while exploring iconic attractions like Cinderella Castle.
What a great park. We personally liked this park more than Disney Sea but still had a great time. There was not as many people here and felt a lot calmer than the other one which is a great switch. It’s super clean, the staff were helpful, and the rides were all unique enough to be fun and enjoyable. The food was also great and had an easy time finding our way around the park. It does get very hot in August, so please be prepared for the heat. We recommend using the fast passes when you arrive. If you are a tourist, they are worth it if you know you won’t come back. But we love Disney! And this park was no exception!
Kyle M — Google review
Our visit to Tokyo Disneyland was absolutely magical from start to finish! The park was beautifully maintained, and every corner was filled with Disney charm. The parades, attractions, and staff hospitality were all top-notch — it truly felt like stepping into a fairytale. What made our experience even more special was our stay at the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel. The hotel was simply fabulous — elegant, spotless, and perfectly themed. The staff were warm, attentive, and always ready to help. Our room had a beautiful view of the park, and the convenience of being just steps away from the entrance made it easy to fully enjoy our day. The breakfast buffet was delicious, with a great mix of Japanese and Western dishes. We also appreciated the little Disney touches everywhere — from the decor to the amenities. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience that exceeded our expectations. We can’t wait to return and make more magical memories! ✨
Allan C — Google review
Tokyo Disneyland was such a fun and magical experience! The park feels super clean, well-organized, and full of classic Disney charm. The parade and shows are amazing—honestly some of the best I’ve seen at any Disney park. My favorite rides were Pooh’s Hunny Hunt (the trackless tech is so smooth and cute), Big Thunder Mountain, and Monsters Inc. Ride & Go Seek. The food is great too—tons of cute themed snacks and unique popcorn flavors. It does get crowded, but the cast members are incredibly kind and efficient, so everything runs smoothly. Overall, it’s a fantastic mix of nostalgia, creativity, and Japanese attention to detail. A must-visit for Disney fans!
Juliano Á — Google review
I absolutely loved visiting Tokyo Disneyland. It was so amazing and very much worth the money. Before going I wasn't so keen because I'm not so in to rides and Disney has connotations of being for kids. Each of the rides was varied and had so much detail in them though. There were some thrill seeker rides but also many calm ones. All the rides I went on were so much fun! Staff were wonderful all throughout my time there too. They were all so happy and upbeat, very friendly, courteous and helpful. Wait times were long for the rides but once on them, I forgot about my wait completely. The atmosphere of the rides as well as the whole park was a very happy one. The park was very crowded but it catered well for it. There were many places to eat located throughout the park. I thought they were reasonably priced. The park was kept very clean too. I would highly recommend visiting Tokyo Disneyland and am keen to come back!
Map R — Google review
For this park with did vacation package with unlimited priority pass and early entry. This also allowed us to schedule a reservation for an early dinner. I highly recommend this option due to the crowds. We were able to do the park in one day. If we did not have these benefits, I would allow 2-3 days to do the entire park. The park is absolutely amazing! The rides, food, service and employees are fantastic.
Will G — Google review
All the reviews I read told me to go SUPER early. We went on a Wednesdat and arrived at a reasonable time ~8:30am and waited ~45min to get into the park. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND buying your park tickets in advance and installing the Tokyo Disney Resort app. Then, make a group on the app and add everyone before entering the park! This will make it easier for you to book everyone using one device for the Disney premier access and priority pass once you get into the park. Had we not used the app to do so, wait times went up to 3+ hours. We waited 1 hour max for all the rides we went on. If you come prepared, you will be able to get the full experience. Otherwise, I'd imagine it'll be a full day of waiting which would ruin the experience.

The staff were all friendly and it was a beautiful theme park. It is a great place to take your kids but if you are looking for more thrilling rides then you would need to look elsewhere. Food here is more affordable than other theme parks but lines for food vendors can be quite long. If you want a streamline experience at Disney land download the app and pay for fast passes every hour or two when you get into the venue. The app also has a map with all facilities and shows if they are operational too!

Very exciting place always for the kids and family. Very easy to navigate from public transport getting there to inside the theme park. Although queues can be over one hour wait time for most rides. So get in early as possible. The price will always be an expensive place from eating to merchandise. Then again it’s part of the whole experience.

Shunkaen Bonsai Museum is a charming and inviting space that showcases a remarkable collection of bonsai trees in both indoor galleries and serene outdoor gardens with koi ponds. Visitors can immerse themselves in the artistry of bonsai while also enjoying cultural activities such as wearing traditional kimono and participating in tea ceremonies. The museum offers an authentic experience for those interested in Japanese culture, making it a recommended destination for international visitors.
Most stunning collection of bonsai possible in the world. Staff was extremely hospitable sharing lots of information and tea. Got to meet Kobayashi who was very friendly and even signed and gave me a book free of charge. He also signed and stamped my stamp book. Highly recommended and admission was a very fair price of 2000 yen

It is hard to classify the Shunkaen Bonsai Museum as just a museum since it also functions as a school for bonsai enthusiasts/horticulturalists and it operates as a profitable business, but if you love tiny trees, it is well worth a visit!! While the staff is quite busy with their daily tasks, they are quite willing to stop what they are doing to give you a tour of the facility and to answer questions. Well worth visiting!!

Insane bonsais and vibe, really a pearl in Tokyo for bonsai lovers. The place is a bit far away from Tokyo center so it is a commitment to get there :) When you enter it is a secluded and peaceful place with hundreds of bonsais of all types and shapes. They are also big on stone culture. The ticket was 2000y and you can roam free, see the house, chill at the koi pond, see the books. They have huge bonsais with thousands of years and the master is nr 1 in the world and is working on site. There are a couple of people living there and working with the bonsais which makes the place quite alive. I absolutely loved it

Lovely! One of the best places to see Japanese Mastery of bonsai. We took the class and got to know the apprentices and had a signing of books with Master Kunio Kobayashi.

The bonsai trees at Shunkaen are first class. More than 1000 are displayed in a garden setting. Our guide was an experienced 92 year young gentleman who was able to answer all questions as well as serve us green tea. Everyone was kind and helpful. When visiting Tokyo this garden should not be missed.

Nagisa Park is one of the lovely parks in Tokyo, offering a perfect escape from the city's hustle and bustle. It features beautiful gardens, well-maintained grounds, and ample space for picnics and outdoor activities. The park provides various amenities such as playgrounds for baseball and football, pony rides for children, and a toy train that takes visitors around the park. Additionally, it is popular during the Sakura season when cherry blossoms and plum blossoms can be enjoyed.
One of those places that my kids love going to on weekends. You have pony rides from 10am to 11:30 in the morning and in the afternoon as well. You also have a toy train that runs from 11 am and takes you around not just the pony park but to the bbq sites.

Nice garden and well maintained park. A good hangout place with family and children. Best to go by own car or bicycle the station is bit far, you need to take a bus even if you commute by train. Sakura trees 🌸 Good enough space and play zone for children. Rest rooms are well maintained even on weekends during rush hours. A 2 mins horse ride for children, for free of cost.

Tokyo Disney Resort is conveniently located near the famous Meiji Shrine and Yoyogi Park, where visitors can enjoy picnics on the vast lawns, especially during cherry blossom season. Tokyo DisneySea features its own original characters, including the beloved Duffy bear and his friends, with exclusive merchandise available at various shops throughout the park.
This was my first Disney experience, and it was so enjoyable! I'm not a super fan by any means but from an amusement park overall it is highly organized. Every employee is cheerful with a smile and energy that is infectious. And there was not a single bad or lame ride. Everything is so well executed. The food is not great, but that is easy to forget once you walk around and continue having fun. The jungle Cruise and Cinderella were my favorite, and the parades are so well done they are awesome not to be missed! Pro tip: get in early to take advantage of all the passes and cut down on wait times!

A magical experience for all ages! Tokyo Disneyland is pure magic from the moment you enter. The rides are fun and well-maintained, the parades and shows are spectacular, and the park is beautifully themed down to every detail. Staff are friendly and helpful, making the experience even more enjoyable. Perfect for families, friends, or solo visitors who want to feel the Disney magic. Don’t forget to try the themed snacks and take lots of photos!

Such a magical place. My husband normally hates rides but even he ended up going on most of them! There’s a great mix of gentle train/boat rides and fun thrills like Splash Mountain with its multiple drops. The parades were fantastic, especially the evening ones all lit up. We were also pleasantly surprised by the food prices. Considering it’s a huge tourist attraction, the food was reasonably priced and there were plenty of tasty options. The evening fireworks as the park closed were the perfect ending — a magical finale to an unforgettable day. Tokyo Disneyland is simply a must-visit! 🎆✨

Imagine a beautiful painting of an elegant mansion fit for a royal family. That's what this place feels like. The staff are super helpful. We booked with a vacation package, and booked an additional day. Unfortunately we had to switch rooms because the vacation package was under my wife's name, and the extra booking was under mine. Even though we shared the same Surname, it's considered different and couldn't combine it. Anyway, the rooms are beautiful, and very spacious. Tons of amenities and freebies, my kids took all the slippers and toothbrushes. And right out the courtyard is non other than the entrance to Disneyland Tokyo. It's an awesome hotel, but very expensive. I give this hotel a wooooo!
Edward N — Google review
It was magical. I expected it to be a replica of Disneyland in Anaheim, but its rrally more a version of that park. Whole there are a lot of familiar elements, it is also very unique. The castle is Cinderella's and not Sleeping Beauty's, and they have a second castle, Beauty and The Beast's. This was the most magical ride! The haunted mansion was the same inside (but it's all spoken in Japanese), but the exterior is a red brick facade. It is well worth a day in your itinerary (and it's much less expensive than Disney in the States).
Teresa S — Google review
The vacation package was expensive, but it allowed us to do both parks in 2 days with the priority pass, early entry and food reservation benefits. The resort was beautiful and well maintained. The service was excellent. We really enjoyed our stay here!

Disney Tokyo is truly one of if not the best Disney I went to, only because of Disney Sea. The Disneyland park is really similar to what we have in Paris, except maybe for a couple attractions but Disney Sea is really something else entirely ! The lands are massive and the decorations are beautiful, tons of references to Disney characters and locations, it was magical 🤩 We had a hitel package that comes with fast passes for selected attractions and it was necessary as some had more than 2 hours of line and some 3 hours !! But because of those 3 passes, we could enjoy those without even 3 minutes of waiting, it is definitely worth it if you plan on going. Plenty of vegan options in the restaurant so that's great, the app is also quite nice even if it can be buggy at times. A must see if you like Disney and you're in Tokyo for more than a week.
Burabetsu — Google review
I was so looking forward to my first ever visit to Disneyland. It was overwhelming and people LOVED to push you around and push you and your child who was in a pram without even caring. The amount of people that were in the park was unreal. 20 minutes into opening and some attractions had 100 minute wait times already. It was hard to navigate at times with the amount of people and the fact that people were already lined up for the parade that was happening at 12:30pm. Finding food was easy but then you'd have to contend with crowds of 30 deep or 45-60+ minute wait times. I was able to find some honey popcorn that was less than exciting and then to find allergen food that was only available at 3 locations meant I couldn't just get food easily. I waited in line for 45 minutes to get some odd tasting sausages but also the BEST chocolate macaroon I've ever eaten!! What was going for it; the Toon Town area while busy with people didn't have huge waits for the areas for kids to play and get some energy out. The macaroon - I will think about this a lot. The staff were always really helpful and friendly and so happy to try and accommodate what they could. The Monsters Inc ride was also great and a good bit of fun. The baby areas were ready to use and also made having a baby there and needing to change or feed them less daunting. These aren't on the map but are able to be found in corners of some worlds. Experiencing the Christmas side of Disney was also very special. Also try to set up to order food through OneDisney to order food ahead of time!! If my phone could receive text messages to verify payment methods I would've been all over this! My biggest recommendation is that if you're planning to do Universal and Disneyland. Do Universal last cause you will not leave disappointed or overwhelmed. The fireworks were also suspended at the beginning of the day and then they were put back on for 8:30pm for 5 minutes.

The Tokyo Metro Museum, located beneath the Tozai line's railway tracks, offers an immersive experience into the history and technology of Tokyo's subway system. Visitors can explore interactive exhibits featuring actual trains like the Ginza line's 1,000 series wagon and the Marunouchi line's historic 300 series. The museum aims to educate people about the underground system through participatory experiences for all ages.
We went here on a weekday (two adults in our 30s and 60s). I was a little worried it might be noisy because it attracts a lot of children, but it was perfectly fine, and there were plenty of other adults there without children. The displays were interesting and most had English descriptions. I think it’s an excellent value for the ticket price. Our favorite part was the driving simulator. At first, we weren’t going to participate because the sign said the instruction would be given in Japanese, but while we were doing another activity nearby, one of the staff came over and invited us to try it. It turns out that the staff running the simulation were real retired train drivers! They were all really nice, and the one who helps us with the simulation did the basic instruction in English for us. I think the rule about needing Japanese probably depends on the staff who is working, and whether they are comfortable using some English or not. The museum itself is fun, but the best part for us was definitely the kindness and enthusiasm of the staff 😄 There are clean toilets inside, as well as facilities for children (nursing room, changing table, etc).

The Tokyo Metro Museum is a fantastic destination for train enthusiasts and families alike! The exhibits are incredibly detailed and interactive, making it both educational and fun for all ages. I was especially impressed by the life-size train models and simulators that let you experience being a driver—it felt so realistic! The museum does a great job of showcasing the history and technology behind Tokyo’s iconic subway system. Staff members were friendly and helpful, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. Whether you’re a railfan or just curious about how the metro works, this museum is well worth a visit. Highly recommend setting aside a few hours to explore everything it has to offer!

The Tokyo Metro Museum is an underrated gem and a fantastic value at just ¥220. There’s a surprising amount to see and do for the price, tons of interesting information that never feels overwhelming, along with interactive exhibits and old trains you can actually step inside. Some even let you play around with the controls, which is a blast. One of the highlights is the train simulator. It’s in Japanese only, so it might be a bit tricky if you don’t speak the language, but when I visited, an attendant kindly guided me through it, and it was a really fun experience. If you’re still in train nerd mode after that, check out the rest area with gacha machines. all train themed and then pop into the small gift shop. It’s mostly geared toward kids but still has a few fun items for adults too.
Joel D — Google review
A little out of the way, but really amazing museum for train fans. It's smaller than the rail museum in Omiya, but a little easier to get to, and much less crowded (even on a weekday). There are tons of exhibits on the history, how subways are constructed, interactive exhibits for kids, etc.
Grant M — Google review
Brilliant day out. The best bit was the metro simulator. Loved driving the train. So pleased we didn't have kids with us.... we would have had to share. It is worthwhile waiting to see the miniature train set working. The times are on a board by the display.
Linda R — Google review
Plenty fun for a low price! There’s even a metro simulator experience where you pretend you’re the driver responsible to get people to work / home on time in a retired metro / subway carriage. Great value and worth seeing. It does also have some English translations on some exhibits too. Not to be confused with the railway museum, which are about trains (such as the Shinkansen and some JR lines with the pretend to be a driver experience outdoors). This is the Metro (Ginza line for example in an indoor simulated experience).
D. L — Google review
If you're thinking of someplace to bring your younger children but don't want to spend too much, come here. Adult tickets cost 220yen and child tickets at only 100yen. They get to learn about the trains in Japan and may even try the simulation.
Nursharina R — Google review
I love museums like this one. The TM showed an integral aspect of Japan living. The train system is the best I've ever traveled on, and it was wonderful to learn about its founder and its development through the decades. It was also a look into Japan's modern history, technological advancement, and environmental sustainability. The museum is great for kids and adults with many interactive displays. Some of the audio presentations are only in Japanese, so it's a good place to get some listening practice. It was not crowded and seems a little off the beaten path for most tourists. However, it is very easy to get to by train (what type of Metro Museum would it be if it wasn't?). It is a great attraction if you want to avoid the large crowds of tourists and learn more about Japan's modern history.

Situated in the Tokiwadaira neighborhood, it provides an insight into the architectural elegance of the Edo period and was once home to the Tojo clan. The traditional Japanese garden creates a serene atmosphere, making it an ideal place to contemplate samurai family life while enjoying the soothing sound of the waterfall.
What a quiet and peaceful place. I went during the week and there was barely anyone. The tour inside the house is quick but has plenty of informations and descriptions to read, both in Japanese and English. It features a kids' park with model dinosaurs and a water play area that's larger than the usual wading pools, complete with a waterfall-like section. While it can get crowded in the summer and may be daunting for some parents due to its design, children really enjoy it. The park also offers play items suitable for toddlers and infants.
A little hidden away but a really nice water play area for the kids and picnic place as well. Bigger than the usual wading pools and they have a waterfall sort of area. To be honest it’s a bit dangerous for the faint-hearted parents (the circular globe configuration looks pretty dangerous) and the water is deeper and it gets crowded in the summer but the kids really enjoy it.

Nakagawa Funabansho Museum is a local museum situated along the Old Nakagawa River, just a short walk from Higashi-Ojima Station. The main attraction is a realistic reproduction of the Nakagawa Bansho, an essential part of Edo's water transportation system during the Edo period. Visitors can explore dioramas, sound, and lighting that bring this historical checkpoint to life.
(Translated by Google) This is a museum on the Nakagawa Boat Guard Station and the local history of Koto Ward. The exhibition rooms are on the 3rd and 2nd floors. The 3rd floor has small special exhibition corners on "Nakagawa Boat Guard Station," "Edo Japanese Fishing Rods and Fishing Culture," and "Water Transport around Edo." The boat guard station was a government office that inspected ships (entering guns, excluding women, etc.) and collected taxes. One of the highlights of the museum is a diorama that recreates part of the Nakagawa Boat Guard Station. The 2nd floor has special exhibition corners in addition to "Local History" and "Showa History." In addition to a reproduction of a living room from the 1950s and 60s and actual Showa era folk tools on display, the museum introduces the local industries of Koto Ward and their changes. There is also a separate Fukagawa Edo Museum in Koto Ward, but while the Fukagawa Museum focuses on the Edo period, this museum focuses on water transport in the Edo period and Koto Ward since the Meiji period. Although there are some similarities to local history museums in other municipalities, I think it is a worthwhile facility as it gives a sense of regional characteristics such as water transportation and the atmosphere of the downtown area. My low rating goes by fact that there is very limited information in English. I totally understand that we are in Japan and this is a local museum but was with much disappointment that I could only observe the images and read some of the passages with my husband’s help. Very interesting set up and explanation of the Koto merchant area and how traders used to trade using rivers to transport their goods. There was a workshop about Yokai and my daughter had a great time there drawing and searching Yokais. It’s a topic that she loves and my husband and I try to support her. Along with the workshop there was a game about Yokais in several parts of the museum. She had enormous fun, so thank you very much for that. There is a real size reproduction of the building that used to be the Nakagawa Waterway Station, a place where the furares used to check the goods and boats going up and down and this replica is very well done, you can hear the birds and the sky will change according to the time of the day. You can see the photos other visitors posted. The staff were amazing with me and my questions. There isn’t a locker but the reception staff offered to keep our bags. Extremely clean and well maintained. Very cheap - ¥200 per adult person and ¥50 for elementary school children Outside there’s also a good set up near the River, with a coffee shop and leisure area. I would like to see the next exhibitions so I will keep my eyes on the website.

(Translated by Google) I visited while taking a walk. Admission fee was ¥200 for adults. When I visited, there was an event featuring Edo Rakugo, Kodan, and Kamigata Rakugo. It seems like they hold various events on a regular basis. The exhibition begins with the details of the duties of a ship guard station, followed by an exhibition on the traditional craft of fishing rods. You can learn a lot if you take a close look at the exhibits about Showa era life and ancient agricultural products of Koto Ward. This is a very fascinating museum where you can learn about how Edo's shipping industry, centered on the Onagi River, began and developed, and what was transported where and how. It is a great facility that makes it clear that Edo was a huge city supported by rivers, canals, and shipping. Please do visit. It was a nice walk 😆 I was guided to the 3rd floor and told to look in order, and when I got on the elevator and the doors opened, there I was...! It was a very interesting inside. The special exhibitions held on the second floor (Meiji Travel and Money Exhibition and Showa Era Lifestyle Exhibition) were very interesting, and I think I spent the longest time there! An explanatory text that you can read while sitting on a bench and straining your eyes. It was kind to my tired feet ☺️ There are few people and there are no foreigners at all, so you can spend a relaxing and quiet time. The windows in the observation room were very clean and I could see the outside clearly. The second floor also features a wealth of exhibits on life in the Showa era, Fukagawa's nori seaweed farming, and local industries and lifestyles, providing a sense of nostalgia and discovery at the same time. The staff and volunteers' explanations are easy to understand, and they patiently answer questions, so even those unfamiliar with history will find themselves drawn in. The museum also features a variety of special exhibitions, covering topics such as disaster prevention, Eiichi Shibusawa, and Japanese fishing rods, so you'll always learn something new no matter how many times you visit. Admission is only 200 yen, but the quality and quantity of the exhibits are impressive, making it an excellent value for money. It's a hidden gem, rarely crowded, and offers a relaxing experience. It was relocated to the Nakagawa mouth at the eastern end in 1661 during the first year of the Kanbun era (the first year of the Kanbun era) during the early Edo period. The Onagi River was the first canal excavated by Tokugawa Ieyasu, and served as a waterway connecting Edo with the waterways throughout the Kanto region. Ships ⛴ entering and leaving Edo from this canal were required to have their cargo inspected at Nakagawa Bansho. The Nakagawa Bansho is the checkpoint depicted in "The Entrance to Edo from the Waterway," and a diorama of what the guardhouse looked like at the time can be seen in the permanent exhibition room on the third floor. The staff explained that ships traveling from the Pacific coast to Edo via the Boso Peninsula route would be affected by ocean waves (and could capsize), so they headed inland from Choshi and traveled via the Tone River. The Nakagawa Funabansho Museum is about a 5-minute walk from the Oshima Exit of Higashi-Ojima Station on the Toei Shinjuku Line. Open from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM (last entry at 4:30 PM). Closed Mondays (if Monday is a national holiday or a substitute holiday, the museum is closed the following day) and December 29th to January 3rd. Please note that there may be temporary closures, so it's best to check in advance. Admission fees are ¥200 for adults (high school students and above) and ¥50 for elementary and junior high school students. However, if you purchase a "Combined Admission Ticket" (¥500 for adults (including high school students), ¥100 for elementary and junior high school students), which allows you to enter each of Koto Ward's three historical and cultural facilities—the Fukagawa Edo Museum, the Basho Memorial Museum, and the Nakagawa Funabansho Museum—once per visit, you save ¥300 for adults and it's valid for one year from the first use date! ❗️ So, you don't have to visit all three museums in one day!❗️ Also, there was a small shop and a place to stroll and take a break called Kawanoeki (River Station) on the nearby riverside!❗️ (Original) 【 2020/09/21(月㊗️)拝観 】 中川船番所は、小名木川(おなぎがわ)西端の隅田川口に設けられていた深川番所が、江戸初期の寛文(かんぶん)元年(1661)、東端の中川口に移転したものです。

Nishi-Kasai Station, located in the suburbs of Tokyo, is a convenient transportation hub with good access to various areas in the city via the Tokyo Metro Tozai Line. Additionally, there are plenty of shops and even an Indian food scene nearby due to a significant Indian population in the area.
Suburban sunlight glints on river bridges; rows of trees lead to parks where kites and laughter fill the air. Nishi-Kasai feels like exhalation — Tokyo’s fast beat turning human again, touched by sea wind. Tourist Tip: Quiet, safe neighborhood; visit the nearby Parks and Edogawa Natural Zoo.

While it may appear bare in winter, the sight transforms into a magnificent display of cherry blossoms in spring.
A riverbank promenade with cherry trees. I went on a cold January day . In the dead of winter when the trees are bare. It must be a magnificent sight in spring when the cherry blossoms are in bloom ! There seems to be a sports event of some kind. A lot of runners are present in the park.

Nice promenade between the Arakawa river bank and the residential complex. Most likely known for the grand Sakura cherry blossoms during the spring seasons. The location is probably one of the most accessible sakura viewing spots in whole Tokyo; people can get there by car, public transportation, bicycle, or walking. It’s close from Higashi Ojima station, while there are many parking lots. Relatively spacious and easy to walk or bicycle around, compared to other major places.

There was a humongous grassy field and because it was a weekend multitude of people gathered with their friends or family to enjoy a picnic or sports activity. Going around then it’s the riverbed. And it’s the walking path where Sakura formed on top. People taking walks jogging or cycling. Also there’s more trails close to the Arakawa river. It’s a huge park where everyone could enjoy themselves in such a nice weather.

The Edogawa-ku Folk Museum is situated on the 3rd floor of Green Palace, serving as a resource center to delve into the history of Edogawa Ward. Despite its appearance resembling an apartment building, it functions as the ward's community center. Visitors can gain insights into Edogawa's agriculture, fishing industry, and waterways free of charge. It presents a great opportunity for families to engage in historical learning during summer vacations.

The location is difficult to find, and there are no prominent signs posted at the entrance, so I don't think you'll have a chance to visit unless you do some research online beforehand. It feels like a mini-museum that compactly summarizes the history and culture of Edogawa Ward. Admission is free. When I visited, a special exhibition was being held about Japanese umbrellas, which were once a specialty of Koiwa. In addition, there were exhibits about the ward's agriculture, which is now rare, and the fishing industry along the Tokyo Bay coast (beka boats, etc.), which I found interesting. Recently, the number of new residents has increased, and I think there are more people who don't even know what the area was like in the Showa era. Since this is such a great exhibit, I think it would be good to provide a little more information so that more people can see it. I was impressed by the careful investigation of the house in the exhibition. I was also really interested in the historical materials for the menu of the celebratory meal. I recognize that the food on special occasions is steeped in the traditional culture of the region, but in the records for several days, there is a mysterious food called "■kan" that seems to be impossible to read. has appeared many times. I believe that the fact that we cannot understand something that was probably a fairly popular food at the time shows us the fragility of history and culture. I like the concise explanations on the red explanatory panels for each theme in the permanent exhibition. Even if you skip the detailed captions, you can clearly understand the purpose of the exhibition if you read this much. Even though it was free, I felt that the quality was very good. Akebono-yu is an Onsen with natural hot spring, with indoor and open-air pools. The facility has a sauna and a cafe. Located close to the Funabori Station of Toei Shinjuku line, this long-standing public bathhouse was opened in 1773 during the Edo period!!! Not many people notice the existence of such an Onsen on the roadside while walking.

The sauna can be used for an additional 400 yen in exchange for a shoe cabinet key, sauna key, and bath towel set. There is a changing room on the 1st floor, a washing area and a bath on the 1st and 2nd floors, and a sauna with dry and steam facilities on the 2nd floor. The sauna is heated to 85 degrees Celsius, has a gas stove, and has a two-tier L-shaped structure that can seat up to 15 people. The temperature of the water bath is about 20℃. The bath on the second floor has a vibra and sitting bath. The steam sauna is for 3 people and hot steam is injected for an hour. The bath on the first floor has a jet bath, an electric bath, and an open-air bath. It was a compact two-story building, but it was a fairly well-equipped facility. It's true that it's showing its age in some places, but it's been well maintained and the sauna is in pretty good condition. We are saddened by the closure. Once inside, there's a large space to change out of shoes. You purchase a bath ticket from the ticket machine and hand it over at the front desk. Here you'll receive a QR code for the Sento Pilgrimage. And as the Edogawa Ward Stamp Rari 2024 campaign started today, I received a stamp. The card was given to me by the guide at Funabori Tower Hall, which I had just visited. The changing room is spacious. I was glad to see a drink vending machine in the changing room. The lockers were 100 yen returnable. The bathrooms appear to be divided into the first and second floors. Neither had shampoo or body soap, so I used the soap I brought with me. The first floor is a fairly narrow L-shaped floor with few washing areas. There was an electric bath, a jet bath, and more. The hot water tub was so large that it felt like the corridor was the bathtub itself. Going through there was the open-air bath. I was pleasantly surprised that the open-air bath was larger than I expected. The baths on the first floor had relatively lukewarm water. The second floor has a dry sauna and a steam sauna, but you can't access them without a special key. There is also a large indoor space for a cold bath, a sitting bath, and an open-air bath. The public baths were large and deserted. The milk bath, with its round tub where the water circulates, was lukewarm, but the other baths were hot. The public baths on this floor were relatively empty. But I was happy that there was hot water as well. There also seemed to be a restaurant next to the front desk. This place has everything you need, so I'd like to come again. (Translated by Google) When I lived in Itabashi, Tokyo, I would always go to Kasai Rinkai Park on the right bank of the Arakawa Cycling Road and take a break here. In the past, there used to be some cold food at the shop, but gradually food-related items have disappeared. Recently, the entrances and exits near vending machines are sometimes closed, making it inconvenient. Not only can you take in the sea view, but you can also constantly watch the landings at Haneda Airport. On the way back, if you return to Kasai Bridge, you can ride on the left bank of the Arakawa Cycling Road in Arakawa Nakasu under the Shuto Expressway Chuo Loop Line and return to Akabane or Kawaguchi. The left bank is more comfortable than the right bank. However, there are baseball boys on the riverbed baseball field, so you need to be careful ahead. Before taking a break at this place, you can buy a burger set at McDonald's in front of the station and eat it here for a good meal break. Now that I have moved to Saitama Prefecture, I am enjoying going back and forth to Kasai Rinkai Park on the Edogawa Cycling Road instead of Arakawa. If you have time, go on the right bank and return on the left bank. Return to Hojuhanabashi. Kasai Rinkai Park is crowded with families on holidays, so I try to wear a cycling jersey with a pretty flashy character on it when I go to the Kasai Rinkai Park pier so I can stand out. If you find it, it's probably me. The night photo was taken when I rode the Arakawa cycling road over 140km from the Arakawa upstream of Mitsumineguchi Station to Kasai Rinkai Park. As expected, I didn't have the energy to ride my bike home, so I took the Yurakucho line from Shinkiba to Heiwadai, assembled the bike there, and headed home. This is a recommended course. Numazu Port Observatory Water Gate, also known as View-O Flood Gate, offers breathtaking panoramic views of Suruga Bay and Mount Fuji. The observatory provides a serene and relaxing atmosphere with minimal crowds, making it easy to enjoy the unobstructed 360-degree views. Visitors can take in the picturesque scenery during both day and night, with the possibility of catching a glimpse of Mount Fuji on clear days. The affordable ticket price makes this experience even more worthwhile.
The view is breathtaking. It's a lovely place to visit. The entrance is super cheap, and there's a beautiful park nearby.

Visited this on a weekday. There is barely any people so it is quite nice that we don't have to queue up and get to enjoy the scenic views without much distractions. The ticket price for adults is really cheap, only 100 Yen, so the price is negligible in all regards. The view is very nice because it is 360 degrees, allowing us to view everything unobstructed. Moreover, some windows are opened, allowing us to take clearer pictures. One problem is that some air-conditioned are switched off somehow (though the public can switch back on), making the second portion of the tower much hotter and stuffy. Overally, this place is quite nice and worth a short visit.

View-O at Numazu Port is a well-known local landmark and definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. The structure is impressive, and the view is great from every angle — perfect for photography any time of day. Whether you're capturing the gate from the streets or along the waterfront, it always looks striking. I’ve heard you can go up into the observatory, but I haven’t done that myself. Still, it’s a peaceful and photogenic spot that’s easy to enjoy without crowds. A hidden gem for travelers and photo enthusiasts!

In the night, you are greeted by its luminous colours that light the observation deck and towers that support/move the flood gate, making it a sight in itself of the night. Unfortunately, I was only able to visit during the night and catch the views during that time. However, with the December night that it was, not being cold on the outside and being warm inside the observation deck, it made for a nice, quiet overlook of the city interior and a hint of Mount Fuji resting behind a partly-cloudy night. For 100円, you can get many nice photo opportunities up on the observation deck. Even at night, the lights-off interior and mainly-exterior lighting creates a relaxing... and, to some, romantic... ambience/aesthetic. It's a must-visit during all seasons. Visitors to Numazu should make it a point to stop here and go through both sides of the port's inlet to discover what each side has to offer.

Amazing views across Numaza port and city. A must see when visiting the area. Elevator to the top is only ¥100 for adults, ¥50 for children. The surrounding fish market area has lots to see and do; with many great shops and restaurants (the sashimi is really good). Highly recommended for a lovely day out.

Located in Kasai Rinkai Park, the Diamond and Flower Ferris Wheel offers a relaxing way to take in some great views of Tokyo and beyond. From the top, you can see Tokyo Bay, Disneyland, and even Mount Fuji on a clear day. The ride itself was smooth and quiet, and the gondolas were spacious. Zenkōji Temple is a renowned Buddhist temple located in the heart of Nagano city, Japan. It is a branch of one of the most famous temples in the country and holds great significance for believers, as it is said that visiting and praying at Zenkōji at least once in a lifetime is essential. The temple has an intriguing story associated with it, where an old lady unintentionally arrived there while riding on a cow.
This temple is a branch of one of the most famous temple in Japan, named Zenko-ji. The original is located at Nagano prefecture where the mid of the Japanese main island and the temple is said once in your life you must come and pray at Zenko-ji. There was a story that an old lady did not have any faith or belief but when she took a ride on a cow, she was taken to Zenko-ji without her intention. And basically, temples in Japanese have only one denomination but Zenko-ji has the only one temple having two denominations. This is very calm and cozy place even though it is very close to fashionable street, Omote-sando.

(Translated by Google) It's very clear that this park is the site of an abandoned railway line. The former Tobu Line tracks between Nishiarai and Kita-Senju have been turned into a road, and the adjacent land is a park with wheels on display. The park and street names even include "train." The current Arakawa River is an artificial river. A large river was dug to prevent flooding. The previous route had to be changed. The cramped curve between Ushida and Horikiri is also a result of the Yoginakusare. The Nishiarai-Kita-Senju section crossed the Arakawa River at an angle, so the current route was created by the Yoginakusare to shorten the distance between bridges. Kameda Train Street, which runs in front of this park and Umeda Street, which is separated by the 9th Municipal Junior High School, are the former Tobu Line tracks. The area where the wheel monument is now located is the main gate, the main gate is across from the Panasonic electronics store, and the entire park grounds were home to the factory's offices, cafeteria, and bathhouse. Opposite the drug store and 7-Eleven, the railroad tracks leading from the station to the depot cross the road, and when trains pass, the factory deploys gates to restrict traffic. The main line is now a double-track elevated track, but at the time it was double-track, above ground, and had a level crossing. On the north side of the park, on the other side of the railroad tracks, there were many fields and the scenery was relaxing. There are no traces of those days anymore, and I feel nostalgic. Saishoji, a Buddhist temple, is home to a charming black and white cat that warmly greets visitors. The temple grounds are immaculate and offer a serene atmosphere. Upon requesting the red stamp, the head priest graciously invites you to explore the main hall, where an awe-inspiring wooden statue of Fudo Myo stands tall as a true work of art. Additionally, Fudodo's doors are always open for worshippers seeking solace in their devotion to Fudo.

Mountain name Gyuhozan Religion: Tendai sect Principal image: Shakyamuni Buddha Official name Gyuhozan Myooin Saishoji Temple Also known as Meki Fudoson According to temple legend, it was founded by Ennin (Jikaku Daishi) on the banks of the Sumida River (present-day Higashi-Komagata, Sumida Ward) in 860, and opened in 877 by Ennin's senior disciple Ryomoto Ajari. In the early modern period, he served as the Bettoji temple of Ushijima Shrine (Ushijima Shrine, Ushigozen Shrine, Ushi no Gozen, Mukojima 1-chome, Sumida Ward). Furthermore, Ushijima Shrine also has a tradition of its founding in the 2nd year of the Jogan era, Ennin. In the first year of the Meiji era, due to the separation of Shinto and Buddhism, the statue of Dainichi Nyorai, which was the main Buddha of Ushijima Shrine, was transferred to Saishoji Temple. In 1912, the temple was relocated from its former location in Honjo Omotemachi to Shimohirai, Minami-Katsushika District (current location) due to land readjustment due to construction of the Komagata Bridge. That's what I mean. It's quite a walk from the station. There is a new-shaped Niomon gate and the precincts are well-organized, and on the left hand side there is something that looks like a stone pyramid of Buddha statues. I have seen it elsewhere, but what is its significance? It's wonderful how the new and old things are mixed and fused together. There are several other temples in this area, but were you able to find them? I'd like to find out what the reason is. (Translated by Google) Sengen Shrine in Edogawa Ward is a historic shrine located in a quiet residential area. It is based on the faith of Mt. Fuji, and Konohana Sakuya Hime no Mikoto is enshrined as the main deity. Once you pass through the torii gate, you will find yourself surrounded by greenery, creating a peaceful space where you can forget the hustle and bustle of the city. Especially in spring and autumn, you can feel the beautiful changes in the seasons, making it a perfect place to visit for a walk. In addition, the stone pavement on the approach to the shrine is very atmospheric, making it an attractive part of the shrine that gives you a sense of history. Sengen Shrine is said to bring blessings such as marriage, prayers for safe childbirth, and safety for the family, and locals are often seen visiting to pray. In addition, amulets and votive tablets are available at the shrine office, and we recommend purchasing them as souvenirs. As a shrine that is closely connected to the local community, the festivals and events held each season are not to be missed. For those who want to pray in peace around Edogawa Ward or those who want to get in touch with nature, this Sengen Shrine may be a good place. It was quiet inside. Only the sound of the wind shaking the plants was passing through. It was so quiet that I couldn't believe I was in the middle of town. It felt like I was in the mountains. I visited the main shrine. There is an offering box a few steps up, and you have to go up the wooden stairs to put money into it. However, it was forbidden to wear shoes, so I took off my shoes, put my offering money in, and prayed with my hands clasped together. When I turned around to put my shoes on, I found that the shoes I had taken off were facing the opposite direction from where I had taken them off. Why? There's no one around. (Translated by Google) This shrine has a mysterious atmosphere, as you wonder why there is a small hill of earth in such a place, and a shrine where you have to climb up the stairs. Most Asama Shrines have mountains like Mt. Fuji, so you can enjoy a little mountain climbing, but this shrine's main hall is really on top of a mountain, and the grounds have a unique atmosphere that is unusual for Edogawa Ward. However, the location is very inconvenient, and it is quite far from the nearest station, Shinozaki Station, and there is still a rare "police station" in the Tokyo ward. If you are coming from Shinozaki, go north on Shinozaki Station Street, and the entrance to the shrine will be on your left when you see the Edogawa bank. If you are coming from Koiwa Station, it will be easy to find if you go south on Shibamata Kaido. After passing through the torii gate, the main hall is straight ahead on the mountain, and the gift shop is on the left before going up the stairs to the main hall. Amulets and talismans are given out at the shrine office, and in addition to the full range of wishes, even this modest shrine has a few character items. There is also a talisman of a shrine that is also a shrine of a different name. In this era of declining birthrates, there are still many children in this area, and as if to pick a fight with the ward kindergarten, there is a kindergarten in the shrine grounds. It feels like they are facing each other across the road. There are many shrines in the grounds, and it is a large tutelary shrine that serves as a place of relaxation for the local community. (Translated by Google) Check out the blooming status of cherry blossoms while walking. This year is the first delay in 12 years. Yoshino Somei is the last one behind. Weeping cherry blossoms are in full bloom at the right time. It is the most spectacular in the neighborhood. It was early in the morning, so I couldn't enter the mansion. This is a photo taken only from outside.

(Translated by Google) Mizue Station was the nearest station, but as usual the directions were inaccurate, especially when setting the direction of travel, so I was taken to the funeral home and it probably took twice as long. I would appreciate it if you could at least be quick and accurate in knowing where you were facing. A group of elementary school students had just finished visiting the village headman's residence, so I was able to spend some quiet time there. I was impressed by the remains of a nearby residence.
