I was here with a tour group in late April 2016. I had a good feel of what mainland Chinese wine cellars looked like. Many of the information there were dated and I was surprised that the brand did not seem to be able to expand its market despite its historical edge!

Thanks to the wonderful students, people and city of Yantai for letting me experience a fascinating museum that reflects the wonderful, but complex relationship between China and the world. The Germans gave China the gift of modern wine production. With it, the hard work and ingenuity allowed Chinese people to expand and improve the wines over the years. The museum is a gem- as great an experience as the Napa Valley vineyards or the caves of Epernay. Special thanks to SDIBT, which invited me in March 2016 to teach a course on Real Estate and finance.
