Rapid City

Rapid City lies east of Black Hills National Forest in western South Dakota. It’s known as a gateway to Mt. Rushmore, the massive iconic sculpture of 4 U.S. presidents. “City of Presidents,” a series of life-size statues, spans several blocks downtown. North of Rapid Creek, which bisects town, the Journey Museum & Learning Center offers local history and geology exhibits. Snakes are on view at Reptile Gardens zoo.

Art museum
The Journey Museum in Rapid City offers an enriching experience for families, providing insights into the geological and archaeological history of the Black Hills. Visitors can explore exhibits on Sioux Indian culture and early Black Hills history. The museum also houses a diverse collection of Native American art, including traditional and contemporary Sioux artworks such as beadwork, quillwork, metalworking, and ceremonial regalia. Additionally, temporary exhibitions featuring modern American Indian artists add variety to each visit.
We primarily stuck to the museum itself, rather than the cafe or gift shop. Even with a tight schedule, this was a nice stop. It is always great heading to cultural museums that shed light on the history of the area you are visiting. I would definitely swing in here, because it is educational and has activities for kids, as well.

Such a great museum for families and kids! Each exhibit had interactive and relevant activities for kids as well as an immersive experience! The museum shared multiple viewpoint of SD history making this museum great for all ages! A perfect rainy day escape for any visitors

I was in the area with time to spend and after some research, decided to check this place out with my preschooler. We went on a Friday afternoon and nearly had the place to ourselves! We had a BLAST in the archeology dino digs- looking at fossils and playing in the super fine sand table were my preschooler's favorite. The STEAM corner was somewhat small, but with no other kids present, we had so much fun checking out the plasma ball and the giant microscope. My preschooler thought it was the BEST launching the parachute up the wind tube and racing to see who could catch them as they fell down! Although most weren't my toddler's speed, the curation of artifacts from early Americans was absolutely beautiful. The amount of native beadwork and garb as well as pioneer regalia was really impressive and well displayed. The frequent nooks for kid activities were well thought out and very engaging. We spent nearly 2 and a half hours here and enjoyed every moment. The only point of potential improvement would be that the bathrooms while marked as handicap, are not fully handicap accessible. Although we are not ourselves handicapped, we do work closely with those that are and noticed some things weren't quite up to our hopeful expectations. The sinks, soap, and paper towel were all too high and while you could maneuver a mobility aid in, it could be challenging to close the door due to the inward swung hinges. Aside from the room for improvement in the bathrooms, this place was a 10 out of 10 for us and my preschooler has already asked when we'll be back. If you're in the area, this is a place worth checking out.

Military discount with valid ID for entry ticket. Started our tour with the 20 minute video. Loved all of the exhibits; very detailed. Will be back as your receipt gets you in for free within the week of first purchase. Gift shop was nice. Got 2 gifts for under $10.00. Highly educational and a great field trip for homeschooling families.

We were genuinely impressed (and grateful) for the lovey rooms the Journey Museum provided Sea Reach Ltd to conduct three days of interviewing. Sea Reach Ltd is an exhibit design firm from Portland, Oregon. Under contract to the US Forest Service to tell Indigenous history, we flew in to Rapid City to interview Lakota, Dakota, and Nakota people. The smaller conference room was perfect for the film crew to set up equipment. It was quiet and easy to control the light levels. The larger room was perfect for greeting the interviewees—bright with sunlight, large windows, and space for guests to cluster, share stories, and enjoy a refreshment. Museum staff were gracious in accommodating a our needs, including a late interview where staff had to wait for us to finish, rearranging a room to make space for the camera crew, and setting out coffee, tea, and water each morning.

Firstly, the museum has an eye-catching building design. There was a wealth of good information in this museum, and we didn't plan enough time to see everything. Really appreciated the Native American history and culture that was incorporated into the exhibits.

The museum's name is correct, it is a journey through out earth's history of the area. You can spend hours there.

This is a fun place to go with toddlers and kids! There are tons of fun things for littles to play with. It also has good information for adults, and a nice gift shop. The cost for a year long membership is very reasonable. I got a membership for 40 dollars, which covers me and my baby under 5

Zoo
Zoos & Aquariums
Reptile Gardens is a long-standing zoo located on Highway 16, offering an extensive range of reptile exhibits, bird shows, and even a greenhouse. It holds the title of the world's largest reptile zoo according to the Guinness Book of World Records. Visitors can get up close with various reptiles while feeling safe as the venomous ones are securely contained.
Absolutely amazing experience. Lots of fun things to do here. The staff are really friendly. The shows are put on very well and the girls love the excitement! Our favorite exhibit was the Koi fish and the giant turtles, the lady who was running the turtle exhibit, was super knowledgeable and told us all about them and about how most of their turtles are rescues, and how they take care of them. They have so many crazy snakes You could literally go through fifteen times and still learn something new. Overall all 10/10 would do again!
BryAnna T — Google review
Reptile Gardens was such an amazing experience for the whole family! The huge gift shop was fun to explore, and the dome is incredible — absolutely filled with fascinating creatures and so well done. We loved how interactive everything was. Getting to pet the giant tortoises was such a highlight, and the snake and crocodile shows were both really entertaining and educational. They even let you touch a snake and a crocodile after each show, which was awesome! There’s also a themed playground for the kids that fit perfectly with the park. Overall, it was a fantastic visit — definitely recommend stopping here if you’re in the area!
Kristen W — Google review
We loved it! They do a snake and gator show 5 times a day throughout the day. The shows are entertaining and educational. The brothers Joe and Dane were humorous through their shows and are amazing, they show they enjoy what they do. Once theyre done with their shows they let you pet the animals. Theres a dome to keep the birds they have (we only spotted 3) from flying out while people walk around. They also have a HUGE crocodile "Manic, giant crocodile." Pictures do not do it justice. A little play area and sand box for kids to let them run around on (next to where they do the snake show). And the Tortuises would have to be our favorite. They have 1 that is 120 years old and its just really cool that you can walk near them and pet them as they eat. They have military discount and an amazing gift shop with such friendly staff.

Amazing experience!!! You cannot miss the Reptile Gardens when you visit SD! We had so much fun! The gardens are absolutely BEAUTIFUL and the jungle in the dome is breathtaking! The snake and alligator shows were fascinating and Joey was GREAT! The kiddos got to touch a boa constrictor and a baby alligator and the giant tortoises:) They really do have the largest selection of venomous snakes and it was fun trying to spot the little lizards in the dome jungle:) We had fun taking pics at the old western town area and enjoyed some delicious lunch and ice cream:) Loved the gift shop, too! And all the staff were so nice:) A special "thank you" to Lillee;) We would definitely recommend seeing the Reptile Gardens!!!

This is an absolutely lovely place to spend the day with your family. Plenty of parking, easy access from Rapid City, and reasonable prices for admission and concessions. We started with the Snake and Alligator Shows which were informative and funny. The grandkids loved the giant tortoises, and every part of the park was fun. So many interesting and colorful varieties of snakes, turtles, frogs and other animals! The frozen drinks gave us a refreshing break, and the gift shop at the end of our day provided more than enough choices to find a special souvenir to take home. The gardens would be an attraction unto themselves. The wonderful flowers and trees and other flora were being lovingly attended to by nice young people, who we thanked for their hard work. This is a must see park. Enjoy!
Gregory S — Google review
From outside you would think is not worth it! You are so mistaken! From plants, rocks, reptiles, tortoises, shopping and more… this is a must stop! O ya they have shows that u can attend, and I recommend you go. The kid presenting the snakes show, he was knowledgeable and funny in a way that encouraged me to accept snakes. Thank you. I forgot to mention Reptile Gardens in Rapid City, South Dakota, was recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the largest reptile zoo in the world. It was first cited in the 2014 edition and recertified in the 2018 edition, holding the record for housing more reptile species and subspecies than any other zoo or wildlife park.

we had a really great experience here! We arrived shortly before 8am when they opened and the parking lot was empty. We were able to park our 45ft camper along the back edge of the lot and there were also dedicated spots for other trailers which I appreciated. Off the bat, the lady at the entrance was very friendly. My daughter scraped her knee outside and she offered us a bandaid from her first aid kit and gave my kiddos a couple pencils which helped cheer the injured one up. The worker in the dome was very interactive and found us whenever she spotted another reptile in the dome to show our kids. We also stayed and watched the snake show and some of the gator show and it was very entertaining. The food was also good! So happy we stumbled across this place! Well worth the money and time spent.

We decided to go to Reptile Gardens on our last day of vacation. Got there around 10:00 and it wasn’t too busy. My husband, two tweens and I loved the exhibits and the alligator show. So many fun animals to see! The grounds and landscaping were clean and beautiful. Fun for all ages! We were there for about two hours, including some time in their huge gift shop.

Points of Interest & Landmarks
Art Alley, situated between 6th and 7th Streets in downtown Rapid City, is a vibrant back alley adorned with striking graffiti-style murals and writings. This urban gem offers a unique insight into local culture and interests, allowing aspiring artists to obtain permits to create their own masterpieces on approved buildings. The ever-changing street art adds to the area's charm, making it a must-visit for anyone seeking an authentic urban experience in Rapid City.
Wow! Seeing all of the art in person was amazing! 😍 It was just a short walk from the parking lot a block away. People apparently live back here, but I'd say its fairly safe.
Ann R — Google review
Some nicely done but mostly just graffiti. They even paint the trash bins. The bins were in the way of some of the nicer ones. Easy to find.
Anne P — Google review
This is a quirky art installation in a one block alleyway in downtown Rapid City. My wife happened upon it in some travel literature, so we drove down to check it out. Easy parking on downtown streets, then an easy walk up and down the alley. Art is by permit only and runs the gamut. A fun few minutes if you are near downtown Rapid City
Gregory S — Google review
Truly some beautiful works of art lining the alley. There are a couple that take up entire walls by themselves and some so small you have to be a foot away to see. Could do with more illustrative type graffiti and less tagging graffiti but even some of the tags are pretty cool.
FoxAndMonk — Google review
I honestly thought it would be a bit bigger but it’s still a fun little walk with some cool artwork and I can never hate on that.
Bernard J — Google review
Located in downtown Rapid City, between 6th and 7th and Main and St. Joseph. Art alley consists of dumpsters, utility meters and the backs of the buildings on both sides covered in street Art and graffiti. This unique area was established in 2003, giving artists the freedom to express personal and political views through art. Its an outdoor gallery of a wide variety of styles and subject matter. Although some people are put off by the initial view of the alley, keep in mind, it is an alley that runs behind fully functioning businesses on both sides. The dumpters and utility meters are being utilized, but have been incorporated into the public art space. Permits must be obtained and certain rules do apply for artists to create here, but, the Permits are free and are fairly easy to obtain. This ensures a constant change to the Art on display. I make a point to stroll Art alley every single time I am in the area. It truly is a work of art!

Main Street Square is a bustling city center complex in downtown Rapid City that has completely transformed the area. The centerpiece of the square is an interactive water fountain during the summer and an ice skating rink in the winter, making it a year-round attraction. Surrounding the square is The Sculpture Project: Passage of Wind and Water, featuring 21 large pieces of ancient granite carved by Masayuki Nagase.
What a delightful park, fun for the kids, fun place for the family. Good seating, well kept, water games for the kids. Was a delightful surprise to walk around this area. Loved all the statues of the presidents in the downtown area.

If you didn't know you could rent out Main Street Square, now you do & it is a great space! We recently hosted our client appreciation event at Main Street Square and couldn’t have been happier with the experience! Pomai was incredible to work with—so organized, professional, and attentive to every detail. She made the entire planning process feel easy and stress-free. The team at Main Street Square took care of everything—they handled the full setup (including fencing to give our event a more private feel), provided the bar and bartender, and even took care of all the cleanup afterward. It allowed us to just show up and enjoy the evening with our guests, which we really appreciated. The space was beautiful, the staff was amazing, and everything went off without a hitch. We got so many compliments on the event, and we’ll definitely be recommending Main Street Square to anyone looking for a top-notch event venue. Huge thanks to Pomai and her team!

Music and happy kid noise from the spray park were wonderful background noise for a very enjoyable visit to the Square. A toy store and ice cream shop were open into the evening. I also found a delightful independent bookstore around the corner.

American restaurant
Tally's Silver Spoon, located in downtown Rapid City, has a rich history dating back to the 1930s. The restaurant offers a blend of classic comfort food and fine dining, creating a unique "fine diner" experience. Chef Benjamin Klinkel, a Le Cordon Bleu graduate, showcases his culinary expertise through an upscale New American menu that includes dishes like curried mussels rouille, root beer bison, and Wagyu tenderloin.
From the moment we walked in, Tally’s Silver Spoon gave off a vibe that was both upscale and unpretentious. It somehow pulls off that rare balance—feeling classy without being stuffy, cozy without being kitschy. Our server was genuinely kind and helpful, offering smart recommendations and answering all our questions without rushing us. It felt like she actually wanted us to enjoy our meal—not just turn a table. And the food? Creative, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. It wasn’t just “good for Rapid City” or “good for a vacation town”—it was flat-out excellent. If I lived nearby, I’d be a regular. If you’re looking for something memorable while you’re in the Black Hills area, Tally’s absolutely earns the hype.

Our waitress Davinna apparently just started here but she crushed it! They have a really fun "Indecision" tasting menu here where the Chef just does what they want for X number of courses. It was delicious. Pork Loin and Compressed Pears, Salad with a delicious Egyption topping, Duck, and a hearty steak. It was immaculate.
Noah D — Google review
Great of the greatest! That place honestly deserved at least 2 of Michelin Guide stars. Harmony of tastes and freshness is indescribable. You must try everything! From each salad to each desert, everything was mouthwatering. Extra joy for us brought the waitress, thank you Justice for such proper explanation and welcoming and professional service.

Stoped in for breakfast before my flight out— was told it was a must-try! The service was phenomenal, friendly and attentive. I had the breakfast BLT. Eggs and bacon were cooked perfectly, it was well seasoned and very filling. Good drip coffee as well. My server was fantastic. The kitchen was a bit behind, which he let me know. When I told him I may need to take my food to-go due to my flight, he made sure it was done with enough time to enjoy.

Hands down the best place for breakfast, brunch, or dinner in Rapid City. Tally's Silver Spoon is one of the best restaurants I've been too in years. The staff, atmosphere, and location are great. There is plenty of parking nearby at the city garage which is free evenings, weekends, and holidays. They offer indoor and outdoor seating weather dependent. The food... It's just spectacular. So much of it is made in house. From the pancake batter, sausage gravy, syrup, and more, I haven't had food that tasted as fresh as this in ages! Their pasta is made in house and is delicious! I'm not normally a fan of Chicken Fried Steak, but their's is amazing. It blew my socks off! I travel often and have lived in DC and just outside of Boston and the food here can easily compete with anything I've had in either place. The prices are super reasonable and I have nothing negative to say. TRY TALLY'S!
Chris B — Google review
Good golly what a fantastic dining experience. I didn’t have a reservation for dinner however, the host kindly sat me right away. Everything from service to the food itself was amazing. I will always remember this restaurant!
Alyssa C — Google review
Super delicious and great quality food! I got the Duck, Duck, Goose with sourdough and the Buffalo Steak Sandwich medium rare with the Hollandaise on the side. Both were absolutely fantastic! Thank you!
Vermont M — Google review
I came here for lunch and ordered Bison Maytag Marsala Mushroom. It was delicious and not salty as the other restaurant . The portion was big and tasty. The meat was tender. I also ordered a side salad since I love to eat noodles with salad. The restaurant was clean and wasn't too noisy. Service was quick and attentive. The waitress was very kind, friendly, and has sense of humour. I stayed in the hotel next to it so I didn't pay for parking. But if you drive, you will need to pay to park. No surprised since it's downtown. I would love to come back.

Delmonico Grill offers an upscale, slow-food dining experience in a refined setting. The restaurant features a wide, high-ceilinged space with elegant white tablecloths and stylish monochrome furniture. Guests can savor dishes like fresh ahi tuna seared rare with seaweed salad and ginger soy glaze, or aged rib-eye with poblano chilis and caramelized onions.
Stopped in from Austin on our way to and from national parks. The steak, potatoes and crab cake were very delicious. Our server was incredibly friendly, helping us find a nearby martini bar and was so kind and warm to us.
Salina R — Google review
My hotel was just 3mins walk to this restaurant so I decided to try it. I booked a reservation online, walked in, and a big smile from the receptionist right in front of the restaurant. She checked me in, asked me to wait in waiting area while they set up a booth ready for me. I waited less than 5mins to get my table. I was worried about the food would be too salty like the other places but the server was nice and explained to me which option is salty and which is not. I ordered medium rare Wet Aged Ribeye with asparagus and baked potatoes. It was delicious. The meat was juicy, tender, and not salty. It came out hot with exact how medium rare that I wanted. I had to wait a bit long for my food came out but it was worth for the wait. The restaurant wasn't too noisy and has a lot tables which good for big group as well. I actually found a fly during my dinner. It was flying around my food. I think the owner should do something with that problem since they seem like an upscale restaurant. They have paid parking in front of the restaurant.
Hằng M — Google review
Fantastic space right in downtown, but felt like you were in a world away from everything in a good way. Food was absolutely delicious and the service was great. So glad we decided to eat here!
Bernard J — Google review
It was about 3 pm on a Friday afternoon. I was looking for an upscale place to have a relaxing lunch. Most restaurants are closed at this time. I found Delmonico's and it was great. I had the wedge salad and a nice glass of cab franc. So nice.
Dede F — Google review
Ordered 8oz filet medium-rare w/loaded baked potato. Was cooked nicely but was fairly bland so I unfortunately needed A1 sauce. Took 8-10 mins to get that so meat was lukewarm by the time I actually ate it. Potato came out warm with just sour cream and butter. Not my definition of a loaded potato. Bread before meal was better than the meal itself. Server also forgot to bring Brussel sprouts we had ordered as an appetizer.
Mike R — Google review
This is a truly wonderful classic dining experience Caleb was our server for lunch on our first day there and for dinner on our second day there five star meal on both experiences and six star service would like to express our thanks to all the staff and the chefs for the wonderful meals my wife and I enjoy and don't forget the desert you won't be disappointed

Food was excellent. Steaks properly seasoned and cooked to order perfectly. Tempura veggies were delectable! Appetizer came out promptly, but the rest of the food took a long, long time; especially as we were early evening and the place was almost empty. We enjoyed the relaxing time, but, if you're in a hurry, be warned. Service was good, attentive and friendly.

We've always loved Delmonico Grill for steak, burgers, an excellent wedge, and the best French onion soup in Rapid. But this week, we tried some new (for us) items, and I just have to say — there are some hidden gems on the menu that you don't want to miss!! My husband had the half roasted chicken, and it was absolutely amazing — crisped to perfection. They served it on a bed of mashed sweet potatoes, which was the perfect blend of savory and sweet. I had the strawberry, pesto, and burrata salad, with chicken for a protein, and I just have to say — it's my new favorite item on the menu. Our server Kinsey was exceptional – sweet, fun, beyond attentive, and had the best recommendations. We can't wait to go back, now that we've discovered even more menu items that shine!!

Bar
Murphy's Pub & Grill is a modern Irish pub offering both classic and updated pub fare, along with a patio featuring fire pits. Established in 1933, this iconic Rapid City establishment underwent a significant renovation in 2011, transforming it into an upscale gastropub while retaining its historical charm.
Went for St. Patrick's Day. The atmosphere and the food was excellent. Had the fish and chips. They were every bit as good as I had in Ireland. The Firehouse doesn't have the best in town like they claim. They are far superior here! Beer battered to perfection. Enjoyed with a nice tall Guinness. Can't wait to go back.

The overall vibe of this place is great. Very welcoming and definitely has seating and a bar that inspires conversations. I have to give some criticism though, you can't be an Irish bar and deliver a Guinness that badly poured to a customer. We know it takes time, so take the time. I would definitely come back for the vibe, but not for the Guinness. I heard the food was really good, hopefully will experience it next time.

Great restaurant with delicious food. My hotel gave me a free appetizer so I decided to check it out. The fancy pickles were delicious and my meatloaf dinner was even better. My bartender(Andrea?) was awesome and we chatted it up about life. Definitely check this place out if you're in RC.

American restaurant
Colonial House Restaurant & Bar is a beloved American diner known for its hearty meals and warm hospitality. The restaurant offers a nostalgic charm and uses local, seasonal produce to create popular breakfasts and other classic American dishes. One of the highlights of any visit is the intoxicating aroma of freshly baked caramel rolls, which are a favorite among loyal diners. The spacious eatery can accommodate large groups and serves in-house bakery dishes throughout the day, including dinner, lunch, and breakfast.
Fantastic place! We were there before and came back to have a brunch. The people working there, from the entrance until the payment were absolutely awesome. Menu is delish, you won't be wrong with the food here.

We’re in South Dakota on vacation and happened to come across this place — and we’re so glad we did! The breakfast was absolutely amazing. The chicken fried steak was cooked perfectly, and the scramble was delicious. But the real standout? The pancakes! In my opinion, they’re a must-try — especially with the vanilla caramel sauce. The staff were equally fantastic: friendly, courteous, and made us feel right at home. Highly recommend stopping here if you’re in the area!

I have ate the Colonial House for many years. My recent visit was good. I was greeted by a friendly upon entering the restaurant. Hector was a great server! He is incredibly attentive and remember a previous order. One basic thing that I fault servers for not keeping my drink topped off. Hector did fantastic. On to the food. The prime rib was flavorful and done to perfection! The entrée was served with a decent sized fresh side salad (Cherry tomatoes, cucumber slices and a small celery stock) and omg delicious onion rings. I have had the mashed potatoes and brown gravy which I wasn't a huge fan of. I have also had the chicken wing appetizers which were great. One complaint is the steak was pretty tough. Good but not needed was the asiago cheese crust. My girl had the chicken tenders and onion rings. She had no complaints and it was definitely fresh and hot. I highly recommend the Pumpkin Torte (or 2 or more). I look forward to coming back!

I love diners for breakfast. My husband and I travel quite bit and have had some bad experiences, but not here. The restaurant itself is clean and well decorated, the staff is very friendly, the food is good and plentiful, even the bathroom is great. I’m somewhat picky about smell, cleanliness and overall quality and this was top notch. I watched the busboy not only clean the table top, but also wipe down every seat! We split the Dixie Plate and a pancake. Very good and more than enough for two. I highly recommend the Colonial House. We’re from Texas, but if we lived in Rapid City this would be our breakfast spot!

Food was amazing. Best cinnamon rolls ever. Breakfast were delicious as well, great size. Coffee had great flavor. Oh! And the sugar cookies are amazing, big, soft and delicious. We stopped there in our way to Mount Rushmore and had a lot of parking. I recommend this place 100%.

The fiesta bread is great, it is complimentary, it is loaded with a sausage, and cheese. My boyfriend had the prime rib, medium rare, with mac & cheese. The Mac & cheese was a little on the tough side. But the rest of the food made up for it. I had the mushroom and Swiss burger, with Mac & cheese too. The burger was juicy, and the Mac & cheese was a little tough too. However, we enjoyed the dinner.

Brewery
Located in downtown Rapid City, Firehouse Brewing Company is South Dakota's first brewpub, housed in a renovated firehouse built in 1915. The establishment offers a casual and fun environment to enjoy house-brewed beers and flavorful lunch and dinner options. In addition to their brewery, they also have Firehouse Wine Cellars producing traditional wines sourced from top growers, including their local vineyard.
This place is probably worth a visit, they have a nice beer selection and a full bar, the food was good, the service was good amd atmosphere was inviting. We walked to the restaurant from our hotel a couple blocks away but there is a public parking garage and street parking if you drive in. We sat in the patio area which is very nice when the bi polar weather is full effect in Rapid City. The patio has a big screen which they play sporting events on, go with the boys, the family or a date I think its suitable for all. I had the gumbo which was different from the gumbo I am used to but it works! I also ordered the Bison Lasagna which wasn't to bad either. The Wife ordered Mushrooms which were amazing, I've had better fish and chips before but these were pretty good as well, the coleslaw was amazing 👏

Great atmosphere, specially with their outdoor section being mostly covered. The entire building is amazing and a wonderful use of old buildings downtown. I tastes a couple of their beer selection and enjoyed them for the most part. No standouts, but I liked them.

Atmosphere is super cool and loved the decor! Food was pretty good. I had the BBQ sandwich, had a nice smoke to it but nothing special. My parents loved their food.

The service was great. The food was good, but just regular bar food. I did expect more based on the signs and advertisements for miles and miles on the interstate. But I got what I should have expected. Nothing wrong, just basic menu and the place is packed with tourist. Good experience and lots of people watching.

A very nice place to eat. The staff was welcoming and the food was decent. I had a Ruben and my wife had the farmer's pie. We both were happy with our meals. The prices are reflective of a downtown establishment in a touristy place. There are a lot of choices for both beer and food for almost any eater. The restaurant was clean and efficient. The firefighter patches were a nice touch. It is walking distance from a lot of downtown hotels which makes it a nice place to eat in Rapid City.

Does not live up to the hype. Yes it was awesome seeing all the firetrucks for miles and miles coming into Rapid City but the actual food and experience wasn't up to par especially for the prices. Went in on a weekend at the end of June. Food: Was overpriced and very bland. Nothing special. Waiting 40 mins for overpriced food is not a great time especially after driving 12+ hours. Family had ribs, pulled pork, a burger, fish tacos, and chicken nuggets. Waitress was very nice and did a good job. Atmosphere: Very cool location, building, and decore. We were seated inside and it was so loud you almost had to yell to converse. Overall we would try other options if in the area.

Da beans were so good! I had the South African cricket burger... delicious! Curds were different but very melty good. The loaded nachos could feed 6 people. My beer was very tastey! Service was excellent. The atmosphere is nice, theme is spot on, great bar... But some of our party wasn't as impressed so your experience may very.

Tonight we dined at Firehouse Brewing Co and it did not disappoint! We started with margaritas on the rocks — and being from Texas, I have to say these margaritas were fantastic. For our appetizer, we tried the pork con queso and it was absolutely delicious. I ordered the South African Cricket Burger — my first time having a burger with a thick slice of cream cheese and jalapeño jelly — and it was incredible! Such a unique and flavorful combo. A big shout-out to our waitress, Hanna! She always had a smile, a great attitude, and made sure we were well taken care of. She answered all our questions and made the evening that much better. Highly recommend Firehouse Brewing Co for great food, drinks, and outstanding service!
