Lake Geneva

Lake Geneva is a resort city on Geneva Lake in southeastern Wisconsin. The lakeside Shore Path is dotted with Gilded Age mansions, many built by wealthy Chicagoans. Nearby, the 19th-century Black Point Estate and Gardens was the summer home of Chicago beer magnate Conrad Seipp. The Queen Anne–style house has Victorian furnishings. Local beaches include Big Foot Beach State Park, which has trails and picnic areas.

Embark on a journey with Lake Geneva Cruise Line and explore the stunning estates and mansions that adorn the shores of Geneva Lake. Whether you're interested in historical insights or a leisurely dinner cruise, there's something for everyone. Experience the renowned Mailboat Tour or treat yourself to an indulgent ice cream sundae on the Ice Cream Social Tour.
Had the most amazing time on our Black Forest Estate tour. Our captain was very entertaining and gave us plenty of great facts and information about the properties around the lake. Loved the tour of Black Forest and the tour guides were awesome! We will definitely do another boat trip next year!

We went for a random deep breath and reset. It was a beautiful sunny day that started out cool, but the boat was already heated quite well before we boarded, so we immediately took our coats off. The boarding process was fast and efficient. The staff were all very polite and friendly. Service with a smile. This tour was 2.5 hours and included lunch with a historic tour of Lake Geneva. Lunch included a fruit cup, meal, and dessert. Drinks outside of coffee and tea were also available at an additional but very reasonable price. Would definitely recommend and go again. Super calm and peaceful

This cruise was such a lovely experience, we did the 3.5 hour cruise that visits the Black Point Estate. My parents and I went on a Sunday and we truly had a blast. We got pretty warm weather, but it was chilly - I recommend that you bring a blanket. The staff on the boat we’re charming and funny, making it a lot of fun and educational at the same time. The property itself is stunning and the tour guides there are equally amazing. I would totally book this again in a heartbeat. Thanks so much!

We did the Sunday 2-hour tour of Geneva Lake and it was absolutely gorgeous. We went in late October, and the colors of the trees couldn't have been more vibrant. The tour itself was very informative, giving insight to the many mansions and estates on the lake along with their history and architecture facts. There was a small bar on board on the stern of the craft, and two small but ample bathrooms on the bottom floor. If it's under 60 degrees, I would recommend a jacket, hat, gloves, and hood if you choose to sit on the uncovered second floor.
Hannah G — Google review
The best part about these short cruises is the scenery, the historical context, the bad jokes from the Captain, the drinks, the company. Picks up at the Riviera and the staff is wonderful. They serve snacks and drinks alcoholic and non you pay for at a mini bar. 4 sodas and 4 snacks $20. Seemed reasonable for ritzy Lake Geneva. You might consider having a photographer on board I bet peeps would pay for this. The boat is absolutely fantastic all wood interior clean bathrooms plenty of seating upper floor and lower. Air conditioned.

The Lake Geneva lunch cruise was fabulous! The accommodations at the tables were comfortable and the windows large enough to see everything. The captain was interesting and entertaining. The waitstaff was friendly, expeditious, fun and full of information and downtown Lake Geneva! The food was delicious and the Bloody Mary did not disappoint. The wine was the only suboptimal offering. The Fall colors lit up our cruise in all their glory🍁

We took the 2 Hr lake cruise and it was great. The narrator did an excellent job with telling us the history of the lake and its various properties mixed with dad jokes. The history of the lake properties was very interesting. So many famous business owners have had, or still have, estates on the lake. The bar choices were good and bathrooms were clean. Even though the top deck was open and a bit chilly with the lake breezes, the hot cider kept us warm.

Wonderful Experience with Lake Geneva Cruise Line We had a fantastic time with Lake Geneva Cruise Line—a must-do experience if you're visiting the area! The cruise was smooth, scenic, and packed with interesting stories about the lake's history and the stunning lakeside mansions. The boat was clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with plenty of seating and great views from every angle. The staff was professional and friendly, and the narration during the tour was both informative and engaging. It really brought the lake’s rich history to life. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a returning guest, cruising with Lake Geneva Cruise Line gives you a unique and relaxing perspective of the shoreline. It’s perfect for families, friends, or even a solo outing. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience the beauty of Lake Geneva from the water!

The attraction also provides exhilarating hot air balloon rides for a bird's eye view of Lake Geneva's natural beauty.
They have this open year round! Well worth the price! You get to purchase all the pictures from the day for $26! This is definitely a must do when in Lake Geneva. We didn’t do the high ropes as I thought I booked both but it was fine one active took 2 hrs so that was enough and we got our work out! It was quite warm out! Next time we are going to try the high ropes and going to stay 3 days. You will definitely not be disappointed! We will be back!

This place was so fun!! We did the full zip line course and it was amazing. Our guides, Autumn and Bri were 10/10, really made it enjoyable for us! We will definitely be repeat customers. We strongly recommend you book the full course rather than the half, you get so much more! We also recommend you get there early in the day when the weather is warm because it got quite warm towards the end in the areas that are more exposed. Thanks again for a great morning!
Brandi H — Google review
We were introduced to Zipline Adventures through #campiamme and I'm so glad we were. There is so much to do. Rock climbing, hanging out at the fire pit, live music. It's a great place for any event. 9 courses each course is meant to gradually introduce you to ziplining. Highly recommended for beginners and advanced zipliners. We had a great time; Sean and Dan did a great job with our team. Really informative and supportive. The main goal of the friendly staff here is to make sure your safe, comfortable, and having fun. The staff did a great job communicating with each other and supporting guests. We will definitely be back again!

Awesome time today with our family and our foreign exchange student from Paris. We did the full tour was a great workout and All Around Fun experience. The staff that helped us was Allie and Autumn. They really were amazing tour guides! We will definitely be back a third time soon!
Spencer H — Google review
We had great staff who were helpful in teaching safety and making the trip fun for the whole group. Sad that the zipline tour we booked wasn't longer, I would definitely do a longer one next time. I would recommend you take pictures with your own phones if you are able- they charge for the photos they take of you and those photos weren't great quality and quite expensive. The ones I posted here are my own, without showing the faces of my group.
Meghan K — Google review
My Mom and I went and did the 4-line course as a late-Christmas gift to her and we had SO much fun. Our guides were Bri and Jay and they were so kind and patient and super friendly. I'm already planning on returning and taking my daughter. I just hope we get the same guides :) I can't recommend this place enough.
Mike J — Google review
All staff are awesome. Our guides were great too. They make you feel very comfortable with zip lining. We had Sophie and Abby, they led us through the entire circuit. They told us what to do and made if funny too. Great experience for any age.
Mark F — Google review
100/10, will be doing again! Our guides Autumn, TJ & Tristan were amazing! We had a large group of 10 people, and this team made it FUN to zip through the trees. This was my first time zip lining, and it was the best experience ever! The whole course was just breathtaking (I mean...literally, you are up high in those trees and it might make one a bit dizzy/breathless lol, dont look down, look OUT!) and our guides did an amazing job. I want to go again!

History Museums
Located in a historic waterworks building, Geneva Lake Museum is a local-history museum that recently celebrated its 40-year anniversary. The museum's motto "Preserving the Past for the Future" is reflected in its 20,000-square-foot space filled with relics and interactive exhibits showcasing military history, historic mansions around Geneva Lake, and an impressive replica of Main Street Lake Geneva. Visitors can also explore an extensive research library.
This place is beyond magnificent! We are from Illinois but travel to Lake Geneva a lot and never knew this place was there. We spent well over an hour here and I know it’s so easy to spend hours here, but we had errands to do. We will definitely be back! There is SO much history here and the details in everything is absolutely stunning! And thank you to the older gentleman who followed us in the beginning to give us some very interesting history facts! The price is beyond great and a must see 🩵

The setup is done well for a smaller museum. It feels like you are stepping back in time. There are artifacts from the area. The Wizard room has some fun facts and memorabilia of one of the D&D creators.

This was a splendid little museum featuring the history of the region by turning your visit into a literal stroll down the streets of yesteryear. Shops, homes, and plenty more rooms to explore thoroughly. Kevin was there to answer any questions you might have. He is a really nice guy, so magnanimous and helpful! You ought to definitely put this on your list of things to do & places to see during your visit to Geneva Lake!! Thanks, Kevin!!
Timothy K — Google review
Local historic museum. A very visual museum with many interesting displays in comparison to a museum with a ton of reading to describe photos. We recommend for adults. Nice staff and meticulously maintained. Also, if you’re dungeons and dragons fan, they have a display for you. A fun stop well worth the $12 admission.
Jeremy V — Google review
What an interesting place! Very hands on. Walk down a turn of the century street, in and out of the shops, the fire station, and a beautifully appointed home. The Kitchen is the most fun! Use the utensils from the early 1900's on one side, and the 20's and 30's on the other. Not to mention a school room, trains, Lake Geneva mansion artifacts and so much more.
Caroline C — Google review
The museum was amazing. I loved the exhibition, and the staff was friendly. The second floor was closed for renovation, so I couldn't see everything. But because of that, admission was free. I'm planning to return and see the whole museum.

What a pleasant surprise! Walked by this place on our way to go shopping and decided to stop in. Well done and bigger on the inside than the outside somehow! We learned so much history. Fun and interesting. Super nice staff, very helpful

Big Foot Beach State Park is a picturesque 271-acre park located on the banks of Lake Geneva in Wisconsin. It offers various outdoor activities such as swimming, canoeing, kayaking, hiking trails, and camping. Visitors can enjoy picnics in the open meadow or relax on the charming beach with 900 feet of shoreline. The park also provides opportunities for boating and fishing, with options to rent personal watercraft and motor boats from a local vendor nearby.
Quite serene place by the lake. Good for kids to play around, hike. Beach is accessible and fun to be at during summer!
Sameer W — Google review
We went camping at Big Foot Beach State Park with family and friends and had an awesome time. The campsites were clean, and some even had electricity and water, which was super convenient. There were about 5–6 showers, and they were surprisingly clean for a campground. One of the best parts was how close it is to Lake Geneva—you can easily get to the beach or head into town for some sightseeing. Great spot for a fun and relaxing weekend!
Januzak A — Google review
Super easy park to hike. Great for beginner hikers and/or older hikers. The only issue we had was either the trail map didn't match the trail marker colors or vice versa. The NNW portion of the green trail either lost its markers or is no longer part of the green trail.
Eli S — Google review
Wonderful and scenic state park in southeast Wisconsin. This Wisconsin state park features one of the most beautiful sand beaches in all of Wisconsin. The beach overlooks Lake Geneva, which is a perfect lake for fishing, boating, or for swimming. The park has some decent wooded hiking trails and recreation areas. I think the beach is by far the best feature of the park.
B A — Google review
Very long sites. Enough room for camper and tents. Many sites have electric. None have potable water (but is available near the dump station). Campground is close to a small beach by the campground entrance. Lake Geneva amenities are very close by. Note: There is a charge for each vehicle (including RV)
Serge G — Google review
The campground itself was clean and well maintained. The camp host was knowledgeable and did laps very frequently. Lots of stock of ice, firewood, whatever we needed. Very knowledgeable and nice staff for the campground as well when we checked in. That said, this is a state park that must be meant to be a cheap alternative if you don't want to book a resort or hotel in town. The location while conveniently close to the city centre and tourism attractions, made you hear all the cars and hubbub in your site. The beach was non-existent and small, having to cross a busy main road to place your things, since it was standing room only at the state park beach. The rest of the shore was taken up by party boats and pontoons with dozens of people and loud music. There are two other beach options if you drive into town, but it looked like you had to pay for admission since it was gated and controlled entry. Again, standing room only so we didn't try. Most of our neighboring campsites did not follow guidelines regarding noise, number of cars, people, tents, etc. so we unfortunately dealt with a lot of children running through our campsite despite asking them to play in their own site, dogs barking for hours since their owners went into town and left them there, and too many cars parking on the narrow road making it difficult to pass. TL;DR - if you want a cheap alternative to a resort while you party and bum around all weekend, this is a great option. If you want to genuinely camp, be outdoors, and enjoy some serenity in nature, I'd suggest a different state park.

11$ for car parking. & then you can use the trails & beach for free. The beach being right next to the highway was kinda unclean but wasn't too bad. Beautiful place! It has restrooms and ample seating area for your family!

The Lake Geneva Shore Path is a historic public footpath that offers a glimpse into the area's rich history and showcases some of the Midwest's most stunning homes and gardens. The 21/22-mile trail features diverse terrain, including grass, dirt, brick, and concrete sections. Visitors can enjoy the perfect blend of small-town charm and urban entertainment in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. The path meanders through private properties, each section maintained by its owners, offering unique experiences at every turn.
It's a wonderful lake with an amazing view. You could park your car in front of the shore for 2$/hr and enjoy the beauty of the lake view.

Lake Geneva Shore Path – A Scenic and Serene Walk Through History Walking the Lake Geneva Shore Path was one of the most peaceful and inspiring experiences I've had. The trail wraps around the lake and gives you an up-close view of beautiful historic estates, charming gardens, and the crystal-clear water of Lake Geneva. Each section of the path has its own personality, from wooded stretches to lakefront mansions, and it’s amazing how every homeowner maintains their portion of the trail uniquely. There’s a real sense of history here—you can almost feel the stories behind each estate as you pass by. It’s a long walk if you want to do the full loop (over 20 miles!), but even walking a portion is well worth it. Wear comfortable shoes and bring water—there are a few uneven spots, but nothing too difficult. Highly recommend this for nature lovers, history buffs, and anyone looking for a relaxing, picturesque day outdoors.
Neela P — Google review
Lake Geneva Shore Path runs along the entire lake. On the 26 mile path you’ll pass historic estates with beautifully sculptured gardens and landscapes. History serves that 2500 BC to 1836 AD Chief Big Foot and his Potawatomi tribe walked this path between their villages. The path has been preserved nicely by all the estate owners that live on the lake. The path is rugged in places made up of brick, wood, stones, boulders and slate. It’s an enjoyable walk with plenty of breathtaking views and colorful inlets that change in the seasons!
Michelle F — Google review
Beautiful path and great for a family walk. Wear good shoes because not all paths are smooth. Bring a camera to capture ideas for gardens and for butterflies and bumble bees.
T R — Google review
We walked the path from the library and again from Williams Bay So much fun to see all the houses - Some parts of the trail are maintained better than others- but the worst we ran into were some mud puddles the day after a rain Thoroughly enjoyed the path
Jayna F — Google review
Love walking the Lake Shore Path. Especially in the fall time. Path goes completely around the lake, but has multiples places you can enter at. A peaceful walk. 💗
Emma L — Google review
Love it! I feel so grateful that this trail exists. The views of the water, gorgeous homes, and beautifully landscaped areas are amazing. This is definitely more of a hiking trail, so it may not be a good option for those with limited mobility or anyone using a stroller. Access points are limited. We parked one car at our starting point and another at our end destination, and the stretch we walked was about six miles. There were no bathrooms and no easy ways to exit once on the trail, so plan ahead. Definitely worth the trip!

Oakfire is a charming lakefront bistro that has been serving American cuisine with Swedish and Midwest influences since 1985. This two-story restaurant specializes in wood-fired Neapolitan pizzas, along with offering salads, sandwiches, and gluten-free pizza crust options to complement their craft cocktails. Situated across from the lake and Rivera building, Oakfire provides a buzzing atmosphere for both lunch and dinner. The restaurant's prime location offers stunning views of Lake Geneva from its upper-level seating area.
This is a great spot for tasty food in an excellent location. Our group of six stopped by for lunch and was seated right away. They have a menu focused on pizza, but have other options as well. We tried the cheese curds and broccoli salad as well as one of their white pizza's. The cheese curds were unique without breading, but they were tasty. The pizza was delicious as well, and you could tell they use fresh dough. Our kids really liked the Mickey mouse pizza as well! Service was friendly and quick. Overall, this is a great spot for tasty food right across from the water!
Sam S — Google review
Great spot to grab some food with an outdoor patio overlooking the lake that is dog friendly. They don't take reservations so be prepared to wait if you want a spot on the patio. We highly recommend the cheese curds (5/5) and meatballs with burrata (5/5) is a must. We got the diviola di bufala pizza (5/5) and it was amazing, pretty spicy but great. They have a ton of wine, beer, and cocktails to choose from. This is a must go to place when you're in Lake Geneva.
Josh B — Google review
I can't get over their cheese curds! They are definitely the best! The Margarita pizza and the Pepperoni with that honey hint was absolutely delicious, the Capri sandwich is a must and the salads are amazing. For dessert we had the affogato and the angioletti, they didn't disappoint. Our server was so attentive, polite and very knowledgeable of the menu, he made sure we were happy with the food and made our evening more pleasant.

The location is uncanny, unbeatable and unmatched!! 🌊 The food is superb (the honey 🍯 pepperoni pizza was incredible!) The drinks are top notchhhhh (I tried the Queen 👑) Great service all around. We sat at the bar and got a spot right away!! Highly recommended! A true gem of Lake Geneva!! 🌅
Steven M — Google review
Excellent food and a full view of the lake. The service is very good, although since it’s pet-friendly there were a couple of uncomfortable moments when some pets got agitated and tried to fight while diners were enjoying their meals. Other than that, it’s a very beautiful and pleasant place. Definitely add it to your MUST list in Lake Geneva! 🌊✨
María F — Google review
Great ambiance close to the beach, with outdoor seating. But service was mediocre - drinks were not refilled, server didn't check back if we needed something and pizza was average at first they gave us the wrong pizza but that wasn't the big deal. The pizza that I got was the sopressata pizza in my opinion they went a little to light on the cheese and heavy on the arugula. One thing I really liked was that they drizzled honey on top which went really well with the spicy salami good flavor but I wouldn’t come back.
Hagz — Google review
Appetizers were amazing, pizza was to die for, and the dessert was a great ending to it all. The views and drinks in between were more than spectacular. 10/10 would recommend to anyone wanting a nice time with their spouse, family, or friends.

Although a little on the expensive side the food was great and the atmosphere of the second floor lakeside dining was magnificent. I was dining solo on this adventure and I felt like service passed me by on a few occasions because of it. Overall I was impressed and would likely visit again.

Popeye's on Lake Geneva is a beloved, long-standing establishment offering picturesque lake views and a diverse menu featuring roasted meats, sandwiches, and seafood entrees. Since the 1970s, this iconic spot has been known for its rotisserie-based dishes such as free-range chicken, ribs, lamb, and pulled pork. With a large outdoor patio situated across from the Rivera building and Riviera Beach, it's a popular choice during the summer season.
Amazing view of the lake, wonderful waitress yesterday, large delicious portions! Had the lobster Brie flatbread which was 10/10 perfect. Loved the flowery touch 🌺 and overall nautical vibes of the place.

I have personally come here quite a few times over the last 10 years, and they have never disappointed. This particular time was especially great for a family girls trip. Food was on par, with no issues. Service and atmosphere as always was very welcoming. We sat inside as it was too windy out for a bunch of chatty women. Nice and quiet otherwise though. Our waiter was timely and very polite. I truly look forward to another visit soon!!

Lakefront dining at Popeye’s in Lake Geneva. Prime rib was about a 6 out of 10. A little tough. Asked for medium rare. I would call this medium. Prices were high. Soda is $5.00!! Busy day in Lake Geneva, lots of visitors. They are looking to change the restaurant name soon. Location is perfect, but food is not so great. Restaurant could use a little updating. Maybe they will after the name change. Bathrooms were not so great. Prices are too high for what you get. This place needs a little work.

Very busy but worth it! Great ambiance & delicious perch & chips as well as when in Wisconsin must-try cheese curds. Very good cocktail options. Our lovely server did an awesome job, but, my bad, can't recall her name now so including a photo of our check here so she can be recognized for outstanding service.

The greasiest food I've ever had! My friend and I got the artichoke dip and ruben rolls. The dip had a puddle of oil and chips tasted stale. The ruben rolls were so greasy we couldn't even eat them. $34 with tip for food we could even eat. Definitely wouldn't go here again or recommend this place unless you enjoy drinking grease.

Elec took great care of me while he was learning the ropes from the manager training him! Great conversation and great food! This is a rotisserie restaurant. I had the omg cheeseburger which was pretty good! The onion rings were awesome too. They do have outside seating overlooking Geneva Pier where the steamboats come in!

Absolutely love this place! The food is excellent the atmosphere is exactly what I would look for on a lake. And, the prices are very reasonable considering this is a tourist town.

Enjoyed our view of the water. Our server went above our expectation. She was very attentive. Without asking, brought another knife, "see if this one is better." What? .....Kudos. Didn't have to ask for more water, just came over with the pitcher. I have no complaints about the food. We all enjoyed our meal. Had the pleasure of watching the rotisserie chicken walk.

We drove over an hour from our suburb in Illinois, for their pizza. We also visit the town of Lake Geneva while up there, but Next Door Pub & Pizzeria is always our destination when we go. It was so busy on one of our visits, that we had to order our pizza to go. Usually though, we are able to get seated fairly quickly. We can't wait to check out there second location. We invited our friends to join us, and they loved it as well!

The Baker House, a luxurious 1885 mansion nestled beside Geneva Lake, offers ornate rooms and suites with live entertainment and fine dining. Originally built in honor of Emily Baker's late husband, the Victorian-style mansion has been gorgeously maintained and exudes historic decor and old-world charm. Throughout its history, it has also served as an upscale sanitarium for Chicagoans and a Prohibition-era speakeasy.
We went here for the Sunday brunch and it was such a nice experience! We sat right by the windows and were able to look out at the lake while eating brunch. Beautiful view. The food was also delicious and high quality for a brunch buffet! The staff was great at filling up our bottomless mimosas frequently. You can also request made to order eggs Benedict. The dishware and silverware was beautiful as well. I highly recommend this place for an elevated and unique experience.

We didn't stay here or eat here. We came for the garden tea. It was their first one, so they are still tweaking it. The music wasn't live and couldn't finish a song. I think they were having issues with it. Unfortunately their menu didn't offer vegetarian options or we would have ordered. I thoroughly enjoyed the tour of the house! It was very well done. The guide did an excellent job and knew his stuff. You can tell he researched it out carefully. I'd definitely try it again and do recommend it. Certainly would be a fun thing to do as a group. The bar was cash only. Inside the tables were set so elegant and beautiful. It definitely drew you in.

My best friends from college & I booked dinner reservations months in advance. We checked in for our 7 pm dinner & were told by the hostess they were severely backed up & it should only be another 15 minutes to be seated. By 7:20 pm we noticed other guests who’d arrived after us being seated, so we asked if we could at least be seated. By 7:30 pm, we were seated but then told due to short staffing (& their head chef walking out/quitting during the evening) that dinner would likely not be served for at least another hour. We ordered a seafood nacho platter which came with tortilla chips & veggies/queso but no visible seafood. The appetizer looked like something you’d order off a Chili’s or low-end chain restaurant menu. We put in our dinner order, but it was not served until 9:30 pm (remember, our dinner reservation was for 7 pm) The salmon was dry, the medallion filets were charred, tasteless, & dry, the garlic mashed potatoes were cold & chunky/not creamy & mashed, & they gave a teriyaki/sesame seed type dipping sauce which did not match for the meats ordered. The food & slow service was SO bad that it was hilarious. The only highlight/saving grace was our server Melanie. It was not her fault & she was profusely apologetic. She comped a few of our drinks, but the entire bill was NOT worth the money we paid. The mansion is gorgeous, the ambiance of the historic building is enchanting, but for the price we paid having made reservations so far in advance to not eat cold/charred food until 2.5 hours into our reservation was maddening. The Baker family is likely rolling in their graves to know what their establishment has been turned into.

Wow! What a cool place! Ashely was our server and she was amazing, food came out fast and was very good. Coming from Chicago, prices were very reasonable given the unique venue. Would recommend to anyone coming up or down!

Server was nice. Waited over an hour for food that was warm at best. A group of women left after waiting two and a half hours without food. Another couple said their steak was cold.

My husband and I were visiting from Chicago for my birthday. My husband wanted my birthday dinner to be special.Dinner took almost an hour and was barely warm. A menu item I was looking forward to included potato pancakes. After fifteen minutes I was informed they did not have the potato pancakes. An expensive restaurant not worth the money.

Hotel, bar and restaurant built in 1885 and still operating. There is a hotel but I highly recommend coming to grab a drink from the inside bar and you can walk and explore the outside or inside property. We grabbed a drink and sat outside watching the sunset. They also have a speakeasy with an entrance on the side that is open a few nights a week with a DJ. We didn't eat so I can't speak to the food but you def should get a drink and explore the property.

Was there for Brunch on Sunday 09/21/2025. Cant tell you how disappointing it was. We had noon reservations ( we were guests of the booked reservation) The facility was awesome, as was the service. The Brunch buffet was less than expected. The "Salad, fruit, meat, cheese table was awful. The food was not temperature controlled, with exception of the shrimp was on ice and barely available. The fruit tray was empty and wasn't replenished the entire time of our visit. There was potato salad that was at not iced and at room temperature. Basically the selections were not only not temperature controlled but limited. The hot foods were not at temperature to avoid food borne illness not to mention not much available. To get the sausage gravy you were scraping the bottom to obtain and was cold, the provided biscuits were hard, the egg bake was limited and cold, the sausage and bacon were plentiful in availability but cold, the salmon was readily available but cold. We ordered Eggs benedict directly from the kitchen that was cold, and the egg was hard upon delivery. I hate writing a review like this, but the food experience was absolutely awful! Service experience was outstanding!!!! Food was awful! Our host that invited us for dining paid the bill so I did not know the cost of the visit. I'm certain the cost was in excess of the quality. I wish this location success, however it needs to provide quality food for brunch! Once again the service was excellent, but the food was awful.

Bistro
Nestled in the heart of Lake Geneva, Sopra Bistro is a charming eatery that beautifully marries classic bistro fare with contemporary flair. This cozy spot boasts a delightful patio, perfect for enjoying seasonal ingredients that elevate traditional dishes. Diners can indulge in an array of options, from succulent grilled blackened hanger steaks and pan-seared duck to exquisite seafood selections like bucatini with tiger shrimp and house-smoked salmon.
Wonderful experience. First off, our server Sara rocked. So welcoming, friendly, and had great recommendations - from beers to entrees. Speaking of which, had the scallops and they were terrific. Very well cooked with delicious, creative sides. Beer selection was wide ranging and my lavender sour was a nice pairing (and good rec by Sara). Highly recommend this place!

We chose Sopra for a birthday dinner and were not disappointed. Rhe tomato bisque soup on special was a thicker and more enjoyable texture than I've had before. Entree "The Hunters", which showcases venison, was so good I was chewing slower than usual just to enjoy it as long as possible. Honestly, it was better than 98% of steaks I've eaten in my life. I don't think it's fair to talk about pricing when I went knowing it would be pricer, but I do think the flavor profile and preparation/presentation of the food exceeded my expectations and thus justified a higher price tag. I would come here again for a special occasion.

My friend and I visited Lake Geneva for an impromptu girls trip and found Sopra through a Google search. This place was super busy due to it being restaurant week, but we loved the atmosphere! Very sophisticated. I ordered a pasta dish called "Not so Craig Mac" and it was Delicious!! Also loved the homage to hip hop😉 My friend had the salmon, which was also very good 👍🏾 The drinks,OMG... The bartender did not miss. We will definitely make a stop in the next time we're passing through

This was our second visit here. It's in the middle of downtown Lake Geneva — a busy street with lots of shops and restaurants. It has a classic-looking front façade, made from crafted wood millwork. Inside, on the lower level, is a bar area and seating for different-sized groups. Upstairs is another dining area that isn't as well furnished, but it is definitely quieter (which is always our pick). We had reservations on a Friday night and got seated right away. Our server got us settled in with water and menus. They have a drink menu with some interesting offerings of hand-crafted cocktails. We settled on a couple of Pinot Grigios, Old Fashioneds, and a Lo Siento. All were very good. After our server (Calvin, who did a great job the entire night) explained all of the specials, we decided on the Seba-tons (Lobster Wontons); the Duck; Lamb Chops; Brrr-atta (Pasta); and the Bronze Medal (Filet). All the food was amazingly good. The Lobster Wontons were hot, flavorful, and crisp (not greasy). Each piece was a good size. We didn't wait long for the entrées to come out. Each of them was well presented, hot, seasoned nicely, and generous in portion. My lamb chops were the perfect medium rare (almost as good the next night when I had leftovers). The potatoes with olives, feta, etc. were inventive and delicious. The first meal we ate here was memorable, but I think this meal even topped that one. Absolutely delightful. We would definitely come back for another meal. My only suggestion would be to add a little more décor upstairs (maybe a picture or two :).

Shawn was an excellent waiter. The Italian sausage BOLO was amazing! Tiger shrimp pasta pesto was also very good and was a daily special. Mozzarella app was okay. Plenty of food for the main courses. Great drink selection. Would recommend changing all gender restroom signs to just restroom. It gets the same message across and is non-offensive. Atmosphere was good.

Location is great! Service was attentive but if you’re noting a special event on your reservation, you’d think the restaurant would do a little something special, not this place. :( Food was just ok. They called to say I didn’t leave signed receipt to then find it on the table, weird. Our bill was $300 for 6 people.

This place was recommended, so I checked it out when I was in town. It was a cute place with decent service. The food was just okay, though. Nothing bad about it, but nothing memorable either. Maybe it was an off night, though. We heard it was extra busy because it was a Thursday night and a lot of people were there watching the game.
