Local history museum
Museums
Longmont Museum is a popular attraction offering diverse exhibits with a regional focus, including history and art, as well as all-ages interactive programs. The museum is located in historic downtown Longmont, known for its red brick buildings, locally-owned shops, and charming atmosphere. Visitors can explore restored 19th-century commercial buildings housing various shops and enjoy dining at sidewalk cafes or farm-to-table restaurants like The Roost and Harvest Junction.
The Lego exhibit Was great and it was interactive so my son and I had a great time! Looking forward to future events. Good parking. The place was clean and spacious.

Had a fun time at this museum, was able to see all the exhibits within an hour and it has a great view of the city at the very top!

Tonight I attended a nighttime historical haunted walking tour in Longmont. What a great and fun event for a spooky October evening! The tour guides were so knowledgeable and so qualified to present on their topics, which made the tour very enjoyable, lush with stories about the old buildings, the eclectic characters who lived in town AND the documented paranormal investigations topped with chilling and captivating local lore. I learned so much. A special thanks to Dr. Keenan for her wonderful stories. A truly fun outing! Highly recommend!

Great museum with fun activities for young kids. The tree house space is awesome, and the whole family loved the (temporary) Lego exhibit. The building in itself is also pretty cool, and the staff is really kind.

A great local museum. Their core exhibit takes you through the history of Longmont over 100 plus years and is very interesting to go through. This portion of the exhibit is free. There are other rotating exhibits which are an additional charge and have been quite varied and get changed up frequently. We always look for what's going on at the museum to plan another visit! More recent new exhibit - agriCULTURE - teaming up local artists with local farms. An update. Continued new, high quality exhibits on a regular basis. A great recent example is the Picasso prints exhibit. Who knew? A person in Fort Collins has this collection of over 60 prints! Priceless!

Great experience for all ages. Wonderful nature themed play area for the little ones upstairs that has puppets and wooden games, on the 2nd floor there's a vintage arcade game and a small chunk of the moon with some interesting moon related facts, the lower level has an area dedicated to the 100 year flood, historical local photography, and local history. We played with the flood game for like 15 minutes! Highly recommend for an hour or two of fun.

A really well-done history museum with interesting displays and a clear narrative. And there are lots of old-school interactive elements that are great for kids. (I liked the one where you divert water to where it needs to go.) The "Duality" gallery curated by Gregg Deal is really amazing - contemporary works by indigenous artists. Definitely a must-see. Then for kids, there is a treehouse play area up in the tower that's a lot of fun and had great views.

I came for the free concert. Foggy Mountain Spaceship delivered all kinds of ear candy. I’ll come back for the museum exhibits next.

Nature & Wildlife Areas
Union Reservoir Nature Area, previously known as Calkins Lake, is a 736-acre natural reservoir in Longmont. It was adapted for use as a reservoir in 1903 and offers various outdoor activities such as picnicking, fishing, boating, windsurfing, paddleboarding, and kayaking. The area also features a seasonal swimming beach and hosts the Union Sailing Club for sailing enthusiasts.
Great place to go, and just chill in a kayak for a while. It is very relaxing and not too busy even on the weekends. It's only $15 for a day pass with a kayak (10 if you dont have a watercraft). There are tons of fish as well. Plus, some pretty cool birds. I believe you can take any kind of boat, but I think it's wakeless, so keep that in mind
Jake — Google review
Love the vibes of this lake, like an old school campground! Paddle boards are welcome and the entry to the water is a gently sloping sandy bottom that stays shallow for at least 50 yards out. Very kid-friendly, complete with a playground! On shore, there’s ample room to spread out towels and chairs on the sandy shore, with plenty of shade from big cottonwood trees. At the far end is the dog beach, where your furry friend can run off leash into the water. There are plenty of picnic tables and even charcoal grills available near the parking lot, first come first served. The only place where there’s room for improvement is the facilities: bathrooms are basic (no showers), and there’s no snack bar, so pack your own lunch.
Colorado B — Google review
Hands-down, one of the most beautiful places in the greater Front Range area. The off-leash dog beach is incredible! $10 for the whole day, which is a great deal. The views are stunning from every angle - the mountains, the lake, green space. Very well-maintained and plenty of parking, at least on the weekdays. I hear that the weekends get crazy-crowded, but I still think it's worth it. Enjoy!
Lisa M — Google review
Great dog beach. For older dogs it’s a bit of a walk from parking, but definitely worth it if your fur baby loves water. There are a few picnic tables - some with shade. $10 fee to get in. Very popular so go early.
Bonnie H — Google review
We had a wonderful time at the union reservoir!! Lake days are our favorites. It was $15 to get in with our van. The swim beach had plenty of room to swim & spread out. Even with all the people everywhere we still had tons of room. We saw people kayaking & paddle boarding!! Beautiful spot!!
Nicole D — Google review
My dogs love this beach. One loves the water and stays in most of the time and my other girl loves to explore the beach. The dog off-leash area is always very clean and they have poop bags if you need. There are trash cans almost every 50ft. Every dog we’ve met has been friendly and owners are all respectful. There are picnic tables in the off leash area as well.
Dea — Google review
Nice, clean areas around the large reservoir. Some wildlife to watch - pelicans, large owls, bald eagles. Paddle boat rentals available. However, in my opinion paying a $12 fee to enter is a bit much. Boulder is full of beautiful reservoirs with picnic areas, hiking trails, paddling/kayaking, and biking for FREE. Macintosh lake is a good example.

Great spot for a paddle day with the dog - currently closed due to the low water, but a great spot!

Mile-Hi Skydive is amazing!! My daughter was gifted a drive for graduating high school, and I obviously went to watch. Sooo cool!! So much fun! She did get the personal video recorded of her, which is totally worth the extra money. Her dive instructor Ryan was great!! Very friendly and relaxed, which helped her feel comfortable and excited. 10/10 recommended this place!!
Nina F — Google review
Big thanks to Joey, my fantastic instructor—his energy and passion made the whole experience exciting and FUN! He explained everything, made me feel completely safe, delivered an adrenaline-packed ride, and nailed the video. The jump itself was pure joy—absolutely thrilling, freeing, and unforgettable. The entire Mile-Hi team was friendly, professional, and clearly passionate about what they do. It was the perfect place for my first skydive. If you're scared to jump—just do it. You won’t regret it. I’m already counting down to my next jump!
Allison L — Google review
Our day at Mile-Hi Skydiving was awesome! My only feedback is to get more comfortable goggles. Hard plastic digging into the face is a bit distracting but that’s a small thing compared to how much fun we had! The staff was great at making us feel comfortable and easing the nerves. GET THE VIDEO! You won’t regret it. Thank you Alex, Joni, and Ryan for giving us such a fun experience!
Anna — Google review
I just walked with a million questions and crystal was chill and explained it in a very calm manner; Keith went ahead ans showed videos that calmed my nerves. Really cool crew at the front desk.

Amazing Amazing!!!! From the moment my daughter and I stepped in the facility we were met with friendly staff. Made you feel very comfortable! We went for my daughter (from CA), graduation present from me (I know, father of the year lol). She hasn’t stopped talking about it.

Austin, max, and hank. Austin, appreciated the flip and spins, even though I was a terrible banana. Hank, we know you have read all the Hank the Cow Dog books and enjoyed being reunited with your childhoods friends mom. Thanks for the high-school dating gossip! Max, Hannah did indeed kiss her cats again. Thanks for jumping with the acrobats you will have to join us next time. Take care and thank you!!
H. B — Google review
I would like to give a shout out to Hank for making me feel safe and welcome during the most terrifying experience of my life. All of the instructors took my nerves in stride. Hank held my hand through every step and was very upbeat and positive the entire time. I don't know how I would have handled my first jump without that team, and they made me feel like I could do it again. My videographer Joni literally made me take that first step off of the plane and still managed to get some decent shots of my screaming descent. The support staff and instructors truly made this a smooth and relatively enjoyable experience.

Jumping into the Sky with Mile Hi – A First-Time Experience I’ll Never Forget! From start to finish, my first skydiving adventure at Mile Hi in Longmont, Colorado was beyond my expectations. Graham, my tandem jump coach, and Andy, my videographer extraordinaire, who made this leap into the unknown an unforgettable thrill. Graham’s easygoing humor and clear instruction made me feel both grounded and confidant —no small feat when you’re about to throw yourself out of a perfectly good airplane at 13,000 feet. His passion for skydiving shone through every step of the way, and I couldn’t have asked for a better guide to share the skies with. Then there was Andy—equal parts camera wizard and hype man. Not only did he capture every wind-whipped and thrill filled moment, but he also made the whole experience feel like a cinematic adventure. Watching the footage later, I felt like the star of my very own action movie, and I have Andy to thank for preserving that moment forever. If you’re even thinking about skydiving—do it. And if you want to do it right, do it at Mile Hi with people like Graham and Andy. It’s not just a jump; it’s a memory that will live forever. 10/10, would freefall again.

Brewery
Food & Drink
Left Hand Brewing Company, originally established as Indian Peaks Brewing Company in 1994, has become one of the most celebrated craft breweries in the United States. The brewery is renowned for its iconic Milk Stout Nitro, which played a significant role in popularizing nitrogenated craft beers across America. Visitors to the Longmont brewing facility can partake in complimentary hour-long behind-the-scenes tours led by experienced guides, providing insights into the brewhouse, bottling hall, and cellar.
My girlfriend and I stopped by Left Hand Brewing to end our day in Longmont. I was pleasantly surprised with the Beer Garden and how well it was set up. There were plenty of seating options, with many of them being well-shaded. They had a band playing in the grassy area, and the bathrooms were easy to find. The beers themselves were great! I got the Peanut Butter Milk Stout, which did taste like drinking a peanut butter cup. My girlfriend had the St. Vrain Gingerbread Cider, which was a nice and light cider for the hot day.
Zach G — Google review
Great brewery with TONS of beer selections. A fun, welcoming atmosphere with a moderate sized taproom and a large outdoor venue. The food truck is sneaky good as well. Try the steak and avocado grilled cheese if they have it 🤙
John — Google review
Fantastic selection and so many stout options. I would ask for a couple samples and pick a pint size glass versus going for a flight. $3.50 for a 5 oz versus $5 for a pint is a bit extreme. I should have asked about pricing beforehand but my flight end up being $23, I would not have selected it if I knew that before.
Chris L — Google review
Finally made the pilgrimage from NYC to Left Hand Brewing in Longmont Colorado to taste my favorite bottled Stout fresh from the tap. A perfect pour of Nitro Milk Stout from Fabulous Bartender Grant produced a more smooth and creamy consistency than the bottle, much like a Guinness, but the flavor was not much different from a bottle that has traveled all the way to NYC. Amazing!! I don’t know how they produce such a great taste out of the bottle. Thx Team Left Hand! Cheers…… Keep em coming❤️🔥❤️🙏🏻
Rich K — Google review
First time visiting Left Hand Brewing Company but it won't be our last. The beer was awesome. The food truck has amazing wings that my compare all other wings to. The beer is a nice relaxing place that the kids can run around and play cornhole or throw a football or kick a soccer ball.

Nice variety of really good beers. Several on nitro. Several pilot beers. 3 cask conditioned ales on a beer engine. Flights. Merch. Stickers. Brewery tours. Food truck Outside

Left Hand Brewing is an outstanding brewery in Longmont CO. I have tried a few of their stouts that are distributed by me. When I found myself in Longmont I jumped at the chance to try out the brewery. As expected, they have more variety at the brewery and it always tastes a little better fresh off the line. On my stope they had: a pils, Juicy hazy IPA, a strong ESB, fruited sour, Belgian tripel, barrel aged Belgian Tripel, milk stout on CO2 and nitro, peanut butter milk stout on CO2 and nitro, Russian imperial stout, Russian double imperial stout, winter warmer nitro, wheat nitro, porter nitro, mango hibiscus Belgian white nitro, 2 different blondes on nitro, lager, IPA, lemon shandy, Double imperial milk stout, and double imperial peanut butter milk stout. They also carry a variety of kombucha, cider, tasty seltzers, cocktails, and NA options. Left Hand has great beer tenders. They are cheerful and happy to give recommendations. The brewery has several places to sit inside, outside, or belly up to the bar. They have a food truck dishing great eats. They also host several activities. I really enjoyed my experience and the beer here and stopped a couple times on my trip, you should put Left Hand on your list.

From the Beer Garden to the main bar this place is impressive! The Beer Garden was charming— outdoor seating, corn hole, space to play, and good tunes. That bar had a combination of drafts (maybe 7 choices?), non alcoholic beverages, and gluten free options. The main bar was super cozy. They had 30+ drafts in there! I'd highly recommend this place!

Gourmet grocery store
Cheese Importers in Longmont is a must-visit European-style marketplace and restaurant known for its extensive selection of over 350 cheeses, specialty foods from around the world, and unique home decor items. The store boasts the largest walk-in cheese and cured meat refrigerator in Colorado. Additionally, it supplies luxury ingredients to over 400 restaurants across the state. The Parisian-style cafe within the building offers French classics like croissants, quiche, and fine cheese platters.
This is my new favorite store! I went in to see if they had my favorite cheese (Shropshire Blue) that I'd been having trouble finding since moving back to CO from NYC. Not only did they have it, they had a ton of other interesting cheeses, and a whole other section of the shop I wasn't even prepared for. I found gifts for friends and family, exciting new cooking ingredients, fun snacks, fancy gift wrap paper, cocktail accessories, and so much more I'll have to go back for! I really appreciated the area to leave your full basket while you go fill your second basket. I loved that among the many imported products, you could also find a bunch of local items in the mix. I've never seen this big of a variety of cheeses in my life, and I go to a LOT of cheese stores! They even had a nice selection of vegan “cheeses” so my vegan sister won't be left out of the cheese board fun. The owner Sam is super nice and knowledgeable, and was great to chat about cheese with! They even had mini clotted cream jars, which is great because I never finish the regular size. This store has everything you could ever need in life, except maybe a vegetable. Wish I could give it more stars!
Brooke J — Google review
Wow! What a store. I could spend hours just browsing here. Kind helpful staff. Lots of very interesting items. I’m from out of town, but I will definitely be stopping in the next time I’m in town.
Matthew C — Google review
A cute and lovely store selling French kitchenware and household goods. My mother in law took me here because I was looking for a gift to get for my cousins as they bought a new house, and I could've spent half the day in there looking at everything. I would've bought a lot more but didn't have the suitcase space (we live in NZ). Loved the giant walk in refrigerated section too with a large selection of cheeses and everything for a charcuterie platter and entertaining guests. Beautiful kitchenware and tableware, some cute little random items like soaps, perfumes and children's books as well.
C P — Google review
Such a wonderful place to shop, for cookware, specialty gifts, and products and cheeses from all over the world. Everything is so beautifully staged here. It takes a minute to go through slowly just to see everything that’s available. Really appreciate the staff and their kindness and patience. I always have a lot of questions and I never feel rushed here! Their cheese room is out of this world! Everything you need for any kind of gathering, including the Super Bowl! Look forward to returning.
Linda V — Google review
Lovely place full of delicious food and beautiful glassware, and of course the cheese!! I went a little wild on truffles mmm
Robin W — Google review
First time and wow! They have a walk in refrigerator section with cheeses and condiments from USA and Internationally. I also found international chocolates, crackers, and olive oils, and a small section with glassware, kitchen linens, etc. A hidden gem, but get there early, tasting ends a couple hours before closing (5pm).
Linda M — Google review
This across-the-railroad-tracks 🛤️ shop is simply outrageous! The Cheese has its own room that’s refrigerated with cheeses from Holland, Great Britain, Switzerland and Germany, to name a few. All the cool local brands are included. This gift shop carries not only cheeses, it has a kitchen to order scrumptious meals, gourmet gifts and items that you won’t be able to resist to purchase for your loved ones. (And added treats for yourself, like local chocolate bars.) If I could give this 10 stars, I would. It’s a must-visit-special-shop and especially if you’re visiting from out of town. But even if you’ve lived here all your life, it’s a must visit.
Ruthie W — Google review
This place is amazing. They have it all! From cheese, chocolate, olives, caviar, spices, wine, champagne, etc. They also have cookware, cook books & many European gifts. It is an amazing combination of everything. If you like to cook, definitely go! You could easily make this into an outing with elderly parents if you wanted too.

This upscale eatery offers a sophisticated dining atmosphere and an extensive menu of classic and inventive martinis, along with other cocktails, beer, and wine.

We had a fabulous time with family! Randomly chose this place because of its great reviews and sort of in between family and Denver and Fort Collins. Can't wait to come back. Thank you Jake for the wonderful service and all the staff for making us feel welcome. We had a whole room to ourselves.

Stopped by for a Saturday happy hour and had a great experience! My girlfriend really liked the Throwback Martini. The red sangria was pretty good - refreshing but a bit sweet for my taste. The brussels sprouts and coconut shrimp were both delicious.

Went here twice this past week and will go again. The burrata was fantastic for an app and both the short rib and tuna were great. We met the owner last night and she gave us the background/history on the restaurant as well as the family atmosphere. We sat outside on the patio at 7pm and it was perfect. The martinis are great! Really appreciate the personal touch and introductions. Great place to hang out, relax and have a great meal/drinks!

My husband and I came here for date night. We've been wanting to try it out for years! Wow, we were truly amazed. The service was five stars, the food was five stars, the atmosphere was five stars! We had their special and it did not disappoint! Our box with left overs was even labeled and ready for the refrigerator, how sweet! We will definitely be back.

Martinis Bistro is truly a hidden gem in Longmont! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and perfect for a night out. The food was absolutely outstanding—every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Their craft cocktails and martinis are some of the best I’ve ever had, each one mixed to perfection. What really made the experience memorable was the service. The staff was attentive, friendly, and clearly took pride in making sure every guest felt welcomed and cared for. Combined with the intimate ambiance, it made for an unforgettable evening. If you’re looking for a place that delivers on food, drinks, service, and atmosphere, Martinis Bistro is it. Longmont is lucky to have such a special spot, and I can’t wait to come back!

If you’re a basic food type of person, this might not be for you. They have up scale flavors that my family wasn’t accustomed to. That being said, it was fantastic! We came for Mother’s Day and sat on the patio. The service was great. Tom was attentive and friendly and took great care of us. We started with the calamari. The banana peppers were a nice addition and the dipping sauce was fantastic. I also had the potato bisque soup which was phenomenal. Great flavor! I had the filet and fingerling potatoes. It had a sweet and savory sauce on it that I thought was lovely. My kids were not a huge fan, but in martinis defense they are basic food eaters that go for nuggets and fries everywhere we go lol My wife had the New York strip and mashed potatoes. It had a great sauce on it that was very tasty! My kids enjoyed it as well. My son had the crab cake and scallops and he enjoyed that a lot. He cleared his plate. Great experience. Thank you 🙏

It was out anniversary and we were seated next to a loud business meeting which which didn't start things off great. We had the short rib and the chicken pasta. Bistro salad was decent. Short rib was not "fall off the bone" tender and could have finished in the broiler to develop more flavor. The polenta and sauces with it were decent. Chicken and pasta were over-cooked and flavor profile needed some sweetness and fresh herbs, at least. I recently had better chicken in a sandwich at an airport. Chocolate mousse was tasty. Basically, anything that was cooked on the spot lacked.

Barbecue restaurant
Bar
Georgia Boys BBQ in Longmont is a beloved institution known for its mouthwatering Southern-style BBQ and traditional downhome fare. Since opening in 2011, this gem has been serving up finger-licking dishes such as burnt ends, brisket, and ribs that have been voted the best in the state by a well-known travel and food-related television show.
Florida boy here to give his opinion of this fine BBQ establishment. 10/10 recommend. Service, atmosphere, and food all top notch. I had the pimento pork sandwich with bacon and it was phenomenal. Friends had ribs and brisket, again, amazing. Sauces and sides were some of the best I've ever had. Don't miss the chance to come here if you're in the area and hungry.

Came here with some friends. Nice place with a laid back vibe. The staff was prompt and got us seated right away. It was such a nice day that we decided to sit outside with others. Definitely a nice outdoor space. Parking was a little tight but manageable. The food was delicious, the ribs were tender, meaty and delicious, I did not even want to put any BBQ sauce on them. Did end up trying the BBQ sauce and it was good. The burnt ends were good but a little fatty. Fries were crispy but not over done and seasoned perfectly. The toast on the other hand…. Well we just leave that alone. The nachos did not disappoint but I would have to say it needed a little more meat. Everyone in our group said the food was delicious and they would definitely come back and suggest this place to their friends and family. Someone said it was pricy but, what isn’t any more, at least you know you’re getting good food. Give it a shot, what else do you got to lose, besides money. :).
Safety G — Google review
First time to Georgia Boys BBQ and both food and service was great. This visit was on a weekday at lunch, and we had no problems getting a table and quick service to the table. The restaurant seems bigger than it looks, which also includes a nice patio with umbrellas. After seating, our server came right over to get drink orders and allowed ample time for us to review the menu since it was my first time. Orders include the KC combo plate, 2 meat platter and kids Mac and Cheese, which all were served timely and piping hot. I appreciated the server clarification on my choice of lean brisket or burnt ends for a fattier version, which the burnt ends were excellent. Overall, each of the entrees and kids’ meal were well prepared and delicious. I love the options of having all the different BBQ sauces on the table, so “newbies” could try all the options. A great place for some BBQ and I would make the drive again from Denver to Longmont for another meal. Tips for your visit: The restaurant has a low profile look from the road, so be careful not to drive right by it, and the parking lot is very small, but has plenty of street parking as needed.

In comparison to some of the other BBQ joints in the Boulder/Longmont area this is a hit. Not everything is wow amazing but there are for sure standouts. For one, the maple pork belly is WOW like WOW. Could not get enough of it. The sweet potato casserole was absolutely delicious not too sweet so you couldn’t taste the sweet potato but baby this was still dessert. Last but not least, the BBQ beans were MEATY- you never realize how people are often skimping on the meat in beans until you’re finally given some. One thing I would ask for a is a hot/spicy BBQ sauce on the table but the Carolina mustard sure was flavorful that was a nice touch you don’t see too often

This place was on my saved list to try when in Longmont and we were there over a weekend and decided to try it on a Friday night (6/20/25). It was a warm summer day, but the sun was going down and wanted to enjoy the outside patio area. Living in the ATL and having UGA-fan family members, it was interesting to hear the story of these two Georgia boys meeting in Athens and deciding to open a BBQ joint in CO (smart move!). We got the Half Sampler that feeds 2-3 people where we got pulled pork, brisket (still had burnt ends!), maple bourbon pork belly and hot links with mac n' cheese, okra, sweet potato casserole, fries (daughter's choice) and Texas Toast. I had heard the sweet potato casserole was delicious (and it was), but all the sides knocked it out of the park. This and the best BBQ I've had in CO made this place a top spot to visit anytime I'm back in Longmont. There was enough to have another meal the next da and it was still good. Don't go to the chain Dave's when driving through the town and stop by this excellent joint. Go Dawgs!!

This is a really good restaurant with a lot of southern charm. I’ve been to too many barbecue joints in the south and this one here reminded me of those and I felt I was in another state. The food was very good. The service was amazing. I highly recommend the St. Louis style ribs and the pulled pork Although I was not very impressed with their beef brisket. Great options for adult beverages and the dessert menu is good.

It had been a couple of years since my wife and I had been to Georgia Boys BBQ, and we finally found ourselves back in the area. We’re so glad we stopped in! Their happy hour is incredible, great deals and strong, well-made drinks. The bartender was fantastic, she was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. And don’t sleep on their food, they’ve got it down! Everything we had was full of flavor and reminded us why we loved this place in the first place. The atmosphere is fun and welcoming, making it perfect for a casual date night. Georgia Boys BBQ has definitely earned us as repeat customers again.

It was alright. I’ve had BBQ from Kansas, North Carolina, Texas and now Colorado. I’d say stick to what you know (Best BBQ was in NC). It wasn’t horrible, but for all that I’ve heard about it, I was unimpressed. The brisket was dry and not juicy. The ribs were ok, but seemed very dry. The Mac n Cheese was cold too. The beans and the pork belly were amazing though, so that saved it. Maybe we went in during a bad time (around 3:00pm on a Tuesday), but I was left wanting more. Not sure if it’s the timing of the day, but I was disappointed.

Seafood restaurant
Tortugas is a delightful Caribbean-style eatery nestled in Longmont, known for its inviting atmosphere and spacious patio that beckons diners to enjoy the sunshine. Since opening its doors in 1994, this charming spot has become a beloved local favorite, especially during the warm summer months when guests flock to savor seafood-centric dishes and refreshing rum-based cocktails. The culinary duo behind Tortugas continues to ensure each dish is crafted with care, resulting in rave reviews for their flavorful offerings.
Excellent service and food. Definitely make a reservation, we saw one young couple trying to decide where they were going to go when we left, as they hadn't made one. Went there for our 37th anniversary and it was worth doing. The service was impeccable, as quick as we wanted it without any pressure, and the waiter loved the restaurant and the food. We were able to split a special of the day, the pecan crusted halibut with fresh Palisade peach salsa. It came with rice and red beans and crisp plantains, and we added the cucumber salad and a plate of the vegetables of the day. There was plenty of food for both of us and we still had room for a lovely banana creme brulee. Definitely a great place for a comfortable celebration.

My husband and I have had date nights here at least 4 times, he has once with his ex wife, so he must love it! Although he loves me more! Okay anyway, the seafood specials have always been consistently delicious along with their cocktails. I feel like the food has Mexican and Caribbean flavors! David is a wonderful hosr, bartender and waiter!

Tried a new place with a friend tonight. Tortugas. Let me start by saying that this could have been a 5 star review but fell off in the end. Started very good, waitress took the time to explain things to us and give us some guidance. We enjoyed the appetizer and the meal. Drinks were kept full, all good. Dinner was tasty although my friend enjoyed his dinner more than I did mine. But that was the culture and the style of the food. No issue with that as that is the reason for trying new places. Being a Tuesday it was slow, we were one of two tables with customers. While we were there one other table was seated and they ate quick and left. We were the last to leave at 7:30, the restaurant hours say open until 9. This is where it starts to go down hill. We opted to not pursue dessert for no reason other than nothing really jumped out. The waitress brought the bill and we were relaxing and talking about the dinner and the experience in general. While we were talking two things happened, first the waitress from 10 feet away looked over and mentioned that she couldn't see if we had put payment out or not. A rude move, a white invoice on a plate would clearly show if cash or cards were sitting on top of it. This appeared to be a ploy to hurry us along although they were open for another hour and a half. Second after the bill was on the table there was zero continued courtesy, mainly water and tea glasses ran empty, we were never asked if we would like more to drink or any thing else for that matter. No manager visit to the table, in this case it would have been the owner who was on the floor and seated us when we arrived. We can take a hint. We paid the bill and got the hell out. Maybe the couple that came in after us was exposed to the same treatment and that would explain why they were out so quickly. Anyway this was not how I expected to close the evenings visit. If I was giving a rating based on food alone it would be a 5 star rating. Exposure to a different cultures food is why we seek out new restaurants, well new to us anyway. Taking everything into consideration I am glad that I tried Tortugas but disappointed with the experience as a whole. I would like to try other items on their menu but would go back with low expectations and planning on getting out of there in a hurry.

Food was delicious! We ate dinner on the patio and the weather was perfect. You must try the banana creme brule. Staff was very friendly. Will be back with friends.

Great Caribbean style restaurant. Cozy atmosphere. Food is very good, and if you add the Pete's Heat sauce it spicy (the way I like it). I think we went through a whole battle between me and my wife. Make sure to get reservations, otherwise you will not get seated for hours - if at all.

This place is great! Food is delicious and they were able to get us in quickly with very little wait. We had the etouffee and the Voodoo. Both were delicious and be sure to get a drink because their cocktails are second to none. We will definitely be back!

WOW! What a wonderful mom and pop shop to stumble upon. Awesome location! Look out for the Cute little mom and pop shop right across from the post office. My boyfriend and I tried Tortugas for the first time on a Saturday night. Making a order over the phone was so easy and our food still looked great when we got home. Not to mention Tortugas gave us a free desert.. Can you say 🗣Awesome service?? We Will definitely be back!! Pictured: Smoked salmon wontons + Shrimp Callaloo + Jerk Chicken + Greens + Free Brookies 🤤

Eclectic restaurant
Sugarbeet is a charming bistro in Longmont, CO, offering upscale seasonal American cuisine and an extensive selection of fine wines. It's a popular choice for date nights and special occasions. The menu features classic dishes with an all-American twist, such as pumpkin spiced creme brulee, Hawaiian Tuna, butternut risotto, and a variety of sweet meats and cheeses. What an absolute delight! From the moment we stepped into Sugarbeet, we knew we were in for a special treat. The eclectic decor immediately caught our eye – it’s like dining in a personal gallery with every nook and cranny bursting with personality. Our fabulous waiter, Max, was simply outstanding! Now let’s talk about the food! Each dish was a standout, showcasing intentional, unique, and fresh ingredients that danced with flavor! You can truly tell that the owner has spared no detail; every bite is a testament to their passion for creating unforgettable dining experiences. From the first appetizer to the last dessert, every dish was not only delicious but also thought-provoking and exciting. If you're looking for a hidden gem that combines quality, creativity, and an uplifting atmosphere, look no further. Sugarbeet is worth every penny! We can’t wait to return and try more exquisite dishes. Thank you for a lovely evening, Max and team!

Very lovely evening with excellent service and great food. Beautiful presentation on the octopus Carpacio. Not your typical Carpacio, but we enjoyed it. The GF Calamari had a forbidden rice crust. Very yummy. My Petit Steak was perfectly prepared. The bread they served was amazing and probably my favorite 😜 I love an excellent bread. It is in-house fresh baked every day. 😋 It was a nice dinner.

We brought family from out of town here and everything was wonderful. The staff was so friendly and attentive and the food was delicious from start to finish. It was my grandmother's birthday and our waitress made her feel so special! We don't usually go to Longmont but since finding this hidden gem, we will be making a point of it!

My husband and I have been looking for a near-by date worthy dining experience, and this place did not disappoint. The food was innovative and special mention to the desserts, we had the best deconstructed apple pie, and chocolate cake I've had in the continent US. We will definately be a repeat patron of this place.

Took my wife here for our anniversary. Reservations through Open Table was easy. Complimentary champagne was a nice touch. Atmosphere is wonderful for a quiet, romantic meal. Each staff member wished us well and the service overall is outstanding. Extensive wine offerings. Both the sea bass and filet mignon were melt in your mouth delicious. Chocolate truffle dessert is the perfect finish to a perfect meal.

Truly exceptional dining experience for Northern Colorado. As I travel extensively across the U.S. for business, I am always seeking unique dining experiences. Our family traveled down from Fort Collins for an evening together and our trip was highlighted by our experience at Sugarbeet. And while there was a slight recalibration on the preparation of one of the dishes, the staff was beyond accommodating and every member of my family couldn't speak highly enough of both the service and the food. Definitely a meal to share with friends and family in the future and will be a recommendation for those seeking an exceptional meal experience with friends and family without having to drive to Denver.

We were in town on vacation and found this place and were excited we did. The food was amazing and not anything you find on a typical menu we had appetizers, Main course and even dessert and every was cook to perfection. I would highly recommend the elote ravioli with the duck!
