Swiss restaurant
Restaurant Bären is housed in a large wooden chalet designed in the classic local style, offering a cozy and authentic atmosphere. The restaurant prides itself on serving mountain cuisine with a creative flair, using regionally raised meats, home-grown herbs, vegetables, and edible flowers as well as locally hunted game. The menu features dishes such as perfectly cooked venison with pumpkin risotto and vegetarian Spatzli with mushroom ragout. Additionally, they offer menus for vegans and children.
We had a wonderful experience dining here! The food was absolutely delicious from start to finish. I ordered the schnitzel and it was cooked to perfection—the beef was so tender it practically melted with each bite. The gratin potatoes were rich, creamy, and full of flavor—definitely a standout side. And dessert was the perfect ending: the apple pie was so good it barely lasted a minute at the table, so quick we didnt get a picture. Fantastic food, warm atmosphere, and a place I wish I could come back to.

Great food, Great service, Lovely seating. Had cheese fondue here for the first time, it was delicious and served with bread and potatoes. I also ordered fries which were also seasoned to perfection and of a large portion. Amazing service from our waitress who was able to accommodate us and make us feel very welcomed at the restaurant. :) Although the restaurant is next to a busy street, you can see how much effort was put into creating a tranquil space despite the location. The restaurant has indoor seating as well which is very cozy. The restaurant is decorated very nicely.

I ate cheese fondue and schnitzel, and it was a good amount for two people. I really wanted to try cheese fondue while traveling to Switzerland. The total price was a little less than 70. The staff is kind and the restaurant view is good, so I eat happily. It was like a local restaurant with a lot of locals

The staff were amazing- attentive to our needs and friendly. They have great seating and interiors were lovely. Food was great for groups, you want to try swiss food then this restaurant is highly recommended :)

The atmosphere was nice and the service was friendly. The food was generally good, but it was a bit too salty for my taste, especially since I’m Asian. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a good meal!

Beautiful traditional spot serving comforting dishes. The food was my favourite during my trip around Switzerland. Service was excellent and the ambience was super. A relaxing place for certain.

Definitely a gem in Interlaken. From the food, service, to atmosphere, everything was perfect. I had their 1/2 portion pork and 1 person share of cheese fondue with mushroom. I did not expect the cheese fondue to taste this good. It was good to dip the fries and pork in too

If I could give a negative review I would! Staff were absolutely, atrociously rude. There are no signs at all to get into the restaurant. So my husband and I walked up to the doorway instead of the just waiting on the edge of the sidewalk near the road about to get hit by a car. And they shooed us away saying we “need to go to the other entrance” so we went to the other entrance and the blonde man who was our server told us to wait by the sidewalk. So we did. He waved a motion and called us over so we proceeded to follow him after “he waved and said follow me”. So we did and he screamed “GOD I TOLD YOU THREE TIMES TO WAIT OUTSIDE”. I am from New York. Home of the rude, aggressive people. And I have never been spoken to like that. I also went to school for hospitality and restaurant management. And learned to never ever act like that to a guest. So then the food came. Covered in bugs and absolutely no seasoning. Their side vegetables were one broccoli floret and one cauliflower floret. With no seasoning. The potatoes were horrible with no seasoning. I have been staying in Interlaken for a few days and I have had potatoes from other places and they were out of this world. The potatoes at restaurant Bären were so pathetic it’s sad. There was no seasoning and no onion. All in all, if you want to be treated horrible, eat non seasoned food and pay a lot of money, come here!! The fit is for you! But if you know decent cuisine, do not come here.

Thai restaurant
Little Thai is a vibrant and laid-back Thai eatery located in Interlaken, Switzerland. This family-owned gem offers an array of delectable dishes such as stir-fries, curries, noodles, and dumplings. The casual ambiance invites patrons to enjoy their meals alongside a diverse selection of craft beers. Little Thai provides a refreshing alternative to traditional Swiss cuisine with its authentic flavors and spice-infused specialties like fresh spring rolls, spicy papaya salad, pad Thai, and flavorful curries.
Authentic Thai flavors that truly remind me of home! The dishes were perfectly balanced with just the right amount of spice, and every bite tasted fresh and flavorful. As a Thai person, I can say this is the real deal—genuine recipes prepared with care. The staff was friendly, and the cozy atmosphere made the experience even better. Just a tip: make sure to make a reservation because it gets busy. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic Thai food!

I recently dined at Little Thai, and it was an absolutely delightful experience! From the moment I walked in, the warm atmosphere and friendly staff made me feel welcome. The menu offered a fantastic variety of authentic Thai dishes, and each one was bursting with flavor. I started with the Tom Yum soup, which had the perfect balance of spice and tang. For the main course, I ordered the Pad Thai, and it was hands down the best I’ve ever had—perfectly cooked noodles and fresh ingredients! The presentation was beautiful, and the portions were generous. I also appreciated the thoughtful selection of vegetarian options. To top it all off, the dessert menu was tempting, and I couldn’t resist trying the mango sticky rice—it was heavenly! Little Thai is a hidden gem that I highly recommend to anyone craving delicious Thai cuisine. I can’t wait to return!

This place was just a gem. Its off the beaten path but all of the flavors tasted very authentic. They had so many interesting dishes to try. They also had a delicious sweet iced latte! The glass noodles were really good and unique and I thought they would actually be good cold on a hot day - like a salad. I definitely recommend checking this place out if you like Thai food.

BEST Thai food I’ve ever had! Amazing hospitality, fantastic Thai Iced Tea, very flavourful Thai Curry, great condiments and very good quality. 10/10 experience! We ended up eating way more than we planned to. ^_^ khàawp-khun khâ!

Came here twice on our trip to Interlaken, we enjoyed Little Thai that much! Friendly and lovely atmosphere, staff all very friendly. For gluten free, staff also were very knowledgeable and provided a clearly marked GF menu, making it extremely easy to order. You must try the spring rolls, they are the best I’ve ever had.

Big portion, Authentic Thai food, staffs are friendly. Highly recommended 🌷Thai tea is so tasty like you drink in Thailand.

On a very rainy day in Interlaken, without a reservation at any restaurant we found Little Thai. A very small restaurant but an owner who didn't turn is away. She opened up a table outside under the awning (so we remained dry) left us some blankets and took our orders. Food was out in no time at all. Nice and hot and full of flavour. We also didn't expect it to be so spicy but that was a great suprise. Portion sizes are large so despite the prices being high (because everything in Switzerland is expensive) we at least ate really well. We'd return again.

Little Thai is one of the best Thai restaurants in Interlaken, offering a wide variety of authentic Thai dishes bursting with flavor. The generous portions at reasonable prices make it perfect for sharing with friends and family. We thoroughly enjoyed every dish we ordered, savoring the delightful blend of spices and fresh ingredients. The restaurant boasts ample seating both indoors and outdoors, providing a comfortable dining experience for guests. The owner and staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall charm of the establishment.

Nestled within a serene ambiance reminiscent of Kyoto's temples, Megu Restaurant offers an exquisite journey through Japanese cuisine. Here, you can savor a delightful array of traditional dishes like tuna tataki alongside innovative creations such as fried scallops paired with miso puree and truffle. The sushi and sashimi selection is particularly enticing, complemented by one of Switzerland's most extensive sake lists.
Lovely, warm, and delicious! Great spot to relax and enjoy the food. Each dish is well characterized by its own tastes and is unique to this place. The chef is talented in mixing yuzu with foods that its taste just makes a lot of sense. My favorite part was being served fresh wasabi in the middle of Swiss alps!
Waleed S — Google review
Absolutely flawless! I can’t recommend Megu highly enough – the food was outstanding from start to finish. The vegetarian and vegan options were fantastic, and the sushi was honestly some of the best I’ve ever had. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. Exceptional Japanese cuisine in a beautiful setting.

Food was ok, nothing extraordinary. Service was terrible! The waitress were nice, however the managers were greatly impolite and it looked like customers were disturbing them. We’ve paid over 400 franks for lunch and it was not worth it.
Oxana K — Google review
Totally exaggerated prices, food was overly sweet, presentation and taste of a salmon sold for over 50 chf was very much like in average canteen. Sorry to admit that only decor remained the same of the restaurant once cherished and service, which was still excellent
Charlotte E — Google review
We only dined here because the hotel gave us on-site restaurant vouchers. Every single dish was so expensive purposely done so that it was impossible to dine there for free ! The sushi wasn’t fresh, but considering it is in the alps they deserve a break. The service is slow and the restaurant is overrated. If you’re looking for a special, authentic experience in Switzerland don’t come here.
Levon T — Google review
Single worst service I’ve received at a Megu or any restaurant of similar caliber. Was delighted to see a Megu in Gstaad on my vacation. The Restaurant Manager (Salvatore) presented some very racist and very rude behavior toward my family. We had to leave our meal half way through tragic to be honest. Can’t comment on the food the sushi chef was exceptionally nice.

Nestled in a charming locale, Tavern Alpenblick is the perfect destination for those in search of a cozy and budget-friendly dining experience. This delightful eatery specializes in homemade Swiss cuisine, offering mouthwatering dishes like cordon bleu, bratwurst, and delectable cheese tarts—all served in a warm and rustic atmosphere. The restaurant prides itself on using fresh local produce and herbs from its own garden to create seasonal specialties that change throughout the year.
The most wonderful restaurant! The loveliest old ladies run this place and they were very welcoming and kind. I'm not a huge fan of swiss food, but the food here was excellent and I'm a fan now. Everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. I highly enjoyed my visit here and will definitely go again.
Niki M — Google review
After all the positive reviews, dinner at Alpenblick was a big disappointment. Non too friendly service, a first course that reeked and tasted of ham, though we had specified that we don't eat that. The main course, stir-fried veal in a wok, was unannounced spicy and suffused with soysauce that totally drowned the taste of the veal. The veg was pre- and overcooked,, which was compensated by the undercooked rice. Never again.

Great service and food. The truffle cream soup is very delicious! Kudos to the chef!

(Translated by Google) A fantastic restaurant in terms of quality and that certain something of cozy comfort. Such good food, cooked and served with love and an eye for detail, which is also reflected in the dining room. We were absolutely delighted by the little culinary surprises, and all dishes are served on exquisite tableware, and guests are warmly looked after. I even forgot what day of the week it is. The best sign of completely "switching off" from everyday life. The price/performance ratio is absolutely reasonable.

We had lunch in the restaurant of Hotel Hirschen this Easter Monday. Like previous times when we have visited food is great with several vegetarian options and good selection of wines from all Swiss regions. You are very well received. Overall very good value for money and interesting hiking areas in the neighborhood to help you digest. Maybe a better option is to hike before you eat.

Stayed here with a tour group. This was arranged through EF Tours. The stay was fairly miserable. The hotel shares property with a working dairy operation. The flies were as bad as I have ever seen anywhere. We stayed up late killing forty to fifty each night! Their was no central heat or air. The stench from the barns was terrible. We got very little rest overnight and were very happy to leave this place. Would not recommend unless the stay was during cooler weather, and even then, I am still not certain that I would.

A sublime dining experience deep in the Swiss countryside. The menu execution was to perfection with delicately sourced local ingredients. Nothing pretentious but you are left in doubt that your palette is in the hands of a master chef.

Cozy and clean hotel with nice restaurant just next to the hotel. Dinner was great with warm food. We recommend Cordon Blue with local cheese inside 😊😉

Our stay here was perfect thanks to the owners. We planned to stay for one night, but we extended it to 3 nights due to the pleasant environment. The owners are super flexible and nice, although we were few hours late for the check in, they waited for us and offered a very heart warming welcome. The rooms are so cozy, very clean, and beds are comfortable. The view is breathtaking, all you see is green valley, and all you hear is birds and cows bells. You can see tons of cows and some deers on the way. The breakfast was great, the guys working there offered some options and made us fresh meals. We asked the owner about attractions in the area, and he didn’t hesitate to make us a tour with his car to show us good places in the area. There are many activities to do in the hotel it self, we spent at least two hours playing golf in the mini golf area, and there is an outdoor jacuzzi and a spa with sauna that you can use for free, and you can do a relaxing massage. The bottom line; very recommended☺️
