Had the quiche and hazelnut cake. We didnt really like the hazelnut cake as it had some other sweet thing apart from hazelnut in it. But the quiche was great. One of the best quiches ive had. Really quite appetising and tasty. Egg wasnt too overpowering, and spinach was balanced. A great quiche.

We had breakfast at this wonderful local bakery during our stay except for Sunday (they are close on Sundays). It is a few minutes from the hostel. They have a wide array of inviting pastries, sandwiches breads and cakes. They also have some muesli and salad. Coffee is as it should be - strong and smooth. Their cheese quiche was my absolute favorite out of everything I tried. Staff is warm and friendly. Their prices are pretty reasonable for Switzerland. They give you the option to sit inside or outside. They maintain both inside and outside well so it’s really up to you. As for us, we couldn’t resist the idea of sipping our coffees and enjoying our quiches with the amazing backdrop all around us. I wish we have a great bakery such as Steininger in our town. I couldn’t recommend them enough.

We stayed at Funny Farm Backpackers just across the street and grabbed breakfast from here every morning before taking the bus just outside the shop. All of the food we tried was delicious, but especially the cheese quiche and the freshly made orange juice!

The swiss sausage roll was sooo fresh and flavourful. Love their bread and the service staff was so patient in explaining us the sifferent breads!

Excellent authentic Gelato 🍧 with great variety of full flavor options. We enjoyed the ricotta cherry 🍒 and hazelnut, both were scrumptious. Definitely neither diet nor boring. Plenty of comfortable indoor seating. Great central location for quickly picking up a couple of scoops and heading out for a nice walk along the Central Park. Also on offer are the practical take away packages for that midnight craving. Bring your cash as no cards are accepted.

This shop is cash-only and unfortunately we didn't have cash on hand which we realised after entering the store ( our fault) . But we were surprised by how we were treated. We had only just sat down for 30 seconds in one of the seats inside to figure out our next move when the owner abruptly directed us to the exit. Of course it is his store and his right, but it felt totally unnecessary as almost all the seats were unoccupied. It made us feel very insulted and unwelcome.

My favorite gelato in Interlaken. You can't go wrong with all their chocolate flavors as it's their specialty. My favorite is their limited-time flavor (every Thursdays during summer) - dark chocolate. It's just so rich and mind blowing. We took the 1 hour train ride back just to get this again lol. Then torta (chocolate + almond) is a close 2nd. Their regular chocolate and tiramisu are also very good. CASH only!!!

Staff was quite rude and the ice cream was below average. There are so many amazing ice cream stores in interlaken, you're better off going somewhere else. Edit: It's a shame that the owner is rude. Believe it or not having a bad experience like that can actually affect the taste of the ice cream. Maybe if he was less rude to people you would have even more customers. Also it was very surprising that he wouldn't allow any of us a chance to sample the flavors we were interested in. After we got our order and the taste was so poor I just assumed he didn't give tastes because he would lose so many customers. All of the other ice cream shops we went to had very friendly staff who were excited to share the delicious flavors they made. Even after we already paid they encouraged us to try the other flavors because they were so proud of how good they were. It made the experience with the other shops joyful, sweet, and happy. Those are the emotions we hope to have when we get a treat. I hope that instead of being bitter about getting a 1-star review, the owner will consider doing a little bit of self reflection and choose to grow into a kinder person. I bet the ice cream would taste better if he did. Edit #2: We bought 4 ice cream cones from you ... And even if we didn't, how is that profiteering? I don't think that word means what you think it means. Even though you were rude to us and many of your customers seem to think you are racist, I still believe that we all have the ability to grow and become better people. I hope that your life is filled with meaningful experiences that help you to grow and that one day your ice cream shop does even better because of it. A good place to start would be by challenging yourself to be kind to everyone who enters your shop for 1 week. Our go-to place for gelato in Interlaken. We went here almost every day of our trip. The flavors are absolutely delicious and the texture is incredible. We had honey, strawberry, lemon, caramel, mango, coffee, sour cherry, plum, peanut and vanilla. All delectable. I highly recommend!

We had a group of 4 people and we wanted to sit for a drink and to share a cake (as we were not hungry). Two of us went inside and took what we wanted and paid. After paying and returning to the seat the waitress came to tell us we can not all sit as we did not order enough for 4 people. She did not let the other two people sit unless they order and only allowed two to sit at a table for 4, as we only ordered enough for 2 (I do not get the logic as we anyway occupied table for 4). This was so rude so we took our stuff and left. Ridiculous service. They even had a few other empty tables. Cake was ok but we had to eat it on the way.

A wonderful coffee shop and bakery next to the gondola and train station. It's the perfect place to grab a pastry and coffee before starting your day in Lauterbrunnen. Don't miss the excellent quiche and the rhubarb/plumb pastry. Ignore the reviews about bad service: these are inconsiderate tourists who purchase a bottle of water to split between five people and then expect they should be allowed to picnic/camp out on the patio.

The best Hazelnut croissant I have ever tasted! All the food was fantastic and the hot chocolate was great. All the negative reviews are from those who have never tried to run a shop in a tourist area that seeks to make a profit. This place is not running a rest area. And those reviews citing "racism" are truly weak minded individuals.

Bäckerei Stefan von Allmen is a quaint, charming bakery right opposite the Lauterbrunnen train station. It’s the perfect stop for a hot coffee and fresh baked treats before heading out to explore the valley. I especially loved the chicken patty—flaky, warm, and so tasty. Friendly staff, quick service

What a terrible experience! We bought something in the shop and ordered a coffee, but because not everyone in our group ordered a drink, we were literally kicked out. This is by far the worst service ever, unbelievably rude and completely disrespectful. I strongly advise: avoid this bakery at all costs!

I visited this café with my boyfriend and was surprised to be told that we couldn’t eat here unless we also ordered drinks. it made the experience quite disappointing and they are very greedy. The prices also seemed higher than expected. I personally wouldn’t recommend this place!!!

I was happy to find this hidden gem in Interlaken this morning. I had a warm cup of delicious Hibiscus tea with an apple strudel. The pastry was so flaky after being warmed, and it was also served with whipped cream on the side. This was a perfect pairing for a light snack. The ambiance of this tea room is also very nice....the pictures on the wall with light music in the background. It also seemed very popular with the locals. Very happy with the food and service.

We were looking for cake shop in interlaken, and while searching on maps got suggestion to come here . We were pleasantly impressed with the hospitality. We got many suggestions as well as staff was so courteous to recommend cake and also gave us candle and light to celebrate. Highly recommended this place.

Confiserie Rieder in Interlaken is a charming café with a cute outdoor seating area. It’s very picturesque—sitting outside feels like being in a quaint small town, which makes for a lovely atmosphere. We ordered two cappuccinos, but I found them a little too milky for my taste. We also tried two cakes: a lemon cake and a coffee-flavored one. The lemon cake was enjoyable, light and refreshing, while the coffee cake wasn’t to my liking—the frosting tasted a bit too buttery. Both cakes were slightly sweeter than I usually prefer, but overall it was a pleasant and charming café experience.

I love going to this place, everything is homemade by the family that owns this place. My favorite cake is the truffle cake with whipped cream on the side and in the summer their homemade icetea. their coffee is also amazing. they have from sweets to even salty things like sandwiches and quiches. (they offer everything for take away which is so comfortable when you are in a rush.) i really recommend this place! 10/10

The pastries were very tasty along with the coffee. The staff was very freindly and explained all the food as well. They have both indoor and outdoor seating which is really nice. Have a very clean and modern toilet for customers.

I'm only visiting, but if I had access to this shop back home, I would start off every day at it. We've tried many of their pastries over the last few days and everything has been great. My favorite so far was a seasonal rhubarb pastry that was unbelievably good. The giant apple strudel is amazing. Their almond croissant is another of our favorites. The quality of their baking is as good or better than anything I've eaten in France or Spain. The flavors range from subtle to strong depending on the item. You can taste the freshness and distinguish the individual flavors as they should taste, not masked by artificial flavors or overly-seasoned/sweetened. They also offer chocolates that are exclusively made in Wengen, local honey, and they even had locally produced apple juice. This is a business that clearly cares about quality and supporting local suppliers.

Spent a week in Wengen and bought several things and all were truly delicious. My personal favourite was the spinach quiche but all the flavours were wonderful. Also the cheese covered pretzels were so good. All of the produce is beautifully fresh and local, I highly recommend a visit or 5! The shop is imacculatly clean and the ladies who served were friendly and welcoming.

Just popped in and everything looks outstanding! I had the spinach quiche and it was the best I've ever had in my life! Not salty. Buttery Crust. So moist and delicious. We don't speak German so it was great that she spoke English! I'll be back tomorrow 🙂

This bakery was our go-to place during our week-long stay in Wengen. We tried a wide variety of baked goods, but I especially enjoyed the Apfel Caramel Streusel, Strawberry Tart, Apricot Roll, and Banana Muffins. The baked goods are fresh and you can ask them to heat it up for you. In addition, the staff allowed us to reserve the baked goods we liked and pick them up on our way back to the hotel which was great after a long day of sightseeing. I definitely miss their baked goods already!

We go here all the time. It benefits from being a wee bit off the Main Street. Great food, reasonably priced, always find the staff are friendly. Ideally placed for a snack when skiing down from First. Shame the “one star warriors” can’t appreciate it for the great wee local bakery it is.

Very good ice-cream. The best one I have tried so far in Interlaken. Italian high quality. The chocolate bars are average. I would recommend just to go for an ice cream. This is a old Brand store for chocolate but i didn't try their chocolate. i tried their chocolate coffee and ice cream. there is no desk to sit and eat, pls note. There is just a little bar table near the window. the coffee is for my dad i think is good and the ice cream is super good. but the price is a bit too much.

I recently visited this shop for a chocolate ice cream, but the experience was very disappointing. One staff member was visibly annoyed when I asked about the flavor and when I took a few seconds to choose. She also tossed the spoon carelessly, and one even hit me, which was completely unprofessional. During checkout, she avoided eye contact and didn’t say thank you. However, another staff member who handled my topping was polite. Still, the attitude of the first staff member made me feel disrespected and uncomfortable. I hope the shop improves its customer service and staff training.

They are similar to Laderach, but the difference from what I know is that they're family owned and the cholcates are hand produced as well. The dark chocolate sea salt one was really good.

My wife likes her morning coffee so I walked up the street and found this place open. The coffee was great and the pastries were even better. Went back again for the next two days! Very pleasant staff.

Most importantly it was opened on a Sunday morning which many places aren’t. Great spot for a quick bakery and the staff are lovely and accommodating. There is seating inside and outside. If you’re looking for something g quick next to a scenic bridge this is your spot. Be sure to tell them if you are sitting inside or outside or take away.

Super thankful that this place opens at 6am. I was so jetlagged and hungry as I came from Singapore the previous day. They check your covid certificate before you can dine in which is very good. Cinammon bun was super delicious, probably the best I had during my trip. I also ordered hot chocolate wherein the staff gave me a cup of hot milk and a packet of Caotina which when mixed tastes so nice. Great to warm you during a cold winter morning. She also gave me a glass of tap water for free which was very nice. I spent around 5-6CHF for breakfast here which was very affordable in Swiss standards. They serve all sorts of bread and coffee. Lovely neighborhood cafe!

It's both a bakery and a café. Lovely place. There's always an available seat at Wednesday or Friday afternoon. Self service for the cafe. Dine in at no extra cost. Ask for their tea varieties. They used to have rooibos vanilla flavor, but not anymore.

I ate here twice when visiting Interlaken. The service was excellent. I felt totally comfortable and at home. The food was great. I had the salmon poke bowl and the goat cheese poke bowl. The dishes were both so creative and tasty. The gelato was also delicious. And they have good coffee. I would highly recommend this cafe. Best of luck with the cafe!

Absolutely amazing place! The chocolate fondue is incredible — some of the best I’ve ever had 🍫. The owner is so friendly and welcoming, and you can really see how passionate he is about what he does. Everything is homemade — from the ice cream to the tiramisu — and you can taste the freshness in every bite. The flavors are rich, authentic, and full of love. The best place to eat that we visited in Switzerland so far. From salads, focaccia, soups to desserts and the best chocolate ever tasted!!! And you can select what you want of the ingredients. We came once for lunch and met the owner who greeted us so warmly and funny that we had a blast. Next day we had to return for more when we discovered he makes the best chocolate. This is a place that will positively surprise you every time. The staff is as amazing as him and gave us great ideas of places to visit.

This place is a gem in Interlaken that you must to try when you come here! I was very impressed with Jacob attention and service. He puts he soul in every plate and he takes care of every detail to make you feel welcome. My coffee and a brownie were so delicious and the presentation was beyond expected 🤩 The Bistró offers healthy options like bowls and salads that are very well served and look delicious. I tried a sample of the homemade focaccia and it was very fresh and tasty!

It was a scorching hot day, and we were utterly exhausted when we stumbled upon this gelato shop. We were greeted by a bright, smiley lady whose warmth instantly lifted our spirits. She generously offered us several samples to try, making the experience even more delightful. The gentleman there was equally friendly, sharing his expertise on the flavours with genuine enthusiasm. We finally decided on strawberry, dubai chocolate, and cheesecake — and they absolutely made our day! The gelato was lusciously creamy, yet not overly sweet, just the way we like it. Top notch cafe , top notch location and amazing customer service make it a perfect recipe for amazing times!! We ordered a few cubes of chocolates and a cup of half pistachio and half cherry ice cream. Amazing, awesome, wonderful et al were some of the words that we kept uttering for a while. Post the ice-cream hangover, we ordered an Americano to enjoy the chocolates with it and it was enjoyed with every sip. Definitely stop by and let them earn your business!!

Lady behind the counter was very rude, was on FaceTime the whole time, it was very loud, took a few minutes to even acknowledge us. We ordered two hot chocolates, they were not hot, and the aftertaste was horrible, like off milk? Very expensive, not nice flavour and even worse service. Little bit of a tourist trap. The building and inside is beautiful, however the customer service was not great. The woman who served us was on FaceTime the entire time and it even took her a few minutes to acknowledge me. When I asked her if I can try out 1 flavour before purchasing, she didn’t seem too happy. Whilst ordering some ice cream and hot chocolate she kept trying to rush me to pay so she could resume her FaceTime. Unprofessional and not very friendly

Good place for gelato, especially nut flavors like pistachio and macademia. Staff was rather unfriendly.

Bit of a hit or miss. Service was great, let me take my time with what to choose, massive selection so there was too much to choose from! I had a panini although it lacked much filling and was very salty. When the staff heated it up it was very hard and tough to eat, perhaps it was over cooked. As well as this it was very dry, like I said with the lack of filling, could have done with more pesto and/or cream cheese as it was largely just Parma ham and rocket. So with it being tough and dry it wasn’t that pleasant to eat. Although the sweet pastry’s were incredible! Not only do they look fantastic but tasted good too and really fresh. I didn’t get the chance to taste the chocolates but they looked amazing and seemed very popular with other customers. The staff were also very good at advising myself and others with allergy concerns. All the food in my opinions was fairly reasonably priced given the classy vibe and appearance of the shop, although the drink prices were steep so I avoided that.

I'm not vegan and can't smell/taste cinnamon due to long covid, yet somehow the zimtschnecke still blew me away after a day of hiking. Moist, lots of filling, and you'd never know it's vegan. During other visits also had the chocolate croissant and chocolate chip cookie, and they were also excellent. Highly recommend this bakery to satisfy your sweet tooth. Prices are generally 3 to 7 francs.

Amazing bakery items. I tried vanilla croissant and chocolate croissant with cappuccino, and they are amazing. They serve Nespresso based coffee but trust me it’s worth to pay than any other places who serve office standard coffee.

What truly made my visit special was the exceptional service from a lovely Polish lady working there. She was kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. We had a lovely chat, and I mentioned I’m from London hopefully she gets the chance to visit sometime soon! She didn’t know it at the time, but I have a large social media following, and I’ll definitely be recommending Qraft to them especially highlighting the fantastic service I received. It’s people like her who make a place unforgettable. Highly recommended!

We spent 2 days in Paris before coming to Switzerland and this is the first one that came anywhere close to a Paris bakery. I got a chocolate croissant which was delicious but they also had a cinnamon croissant with a coarse sugar on top. We left with those 2 items but went back in for another of the cinnamon croissant. Definitely the best baked good that I have ever consumed. I would come back to Grindewald just for that.

The old lady was rude from the moment she saw us which was unlike the rest of my experience at Grindelwald. I’m glad I told her she was rude and I wish I’d told her that she could try to find healthier ways to deal with whatever bad feeling she was having that day. I guess some people just have a problem with anyone who doesn’t look like them.

I had Maroni Chestanut gelato, super delicious. And a waffle with coffee ice-cream. Coffee was also good. The only problem is 'Cadj only'

it was near our hotel so we decided to stop by for a quick snack since our dinner was in 4hours. we had waffles with cookies gelato and cinnamon sugar, they were delightful! also had a frappe with espresso gelato which left me satisfied. the lady was really jovial and friendly, highly recommend for a nice break(:

The Gelato tastes very bland. No flavour has that taste to make you keep eating. Also it’s a little costlier. You should walk further up and eat in another outlet. That is cheaper and better taste.

Was craving an ice cream after a long hot day out, and we skipped the ice cream kiosk on the way back from Grindelwald First to try this (as we saw a queue the previous day). I regretted not reading the reviews first though, as the ice cream was simply not tasty even though they charged more than some of the other ice cream parlors in the area. We ordered Puffo and Apple flavors, both tasted like toothpaste/medicine. Perhaps other more normal flavors would be better. Very disappointed.

I bought waffle with banana and cookies & cream ice cream topping. It was very delicious and very filling at a very reasonable price. Lady was very nice and very helpful. I almost forgot my travel documents on table and fortunately she saw it can called me back else I would have been in trouble.

Very good ice cream and multiple nice flavors available. The sales lady was friendly and nice. Must try berry flavor. Had a good experience.
