Fantastic food, came two nights for dinner. Had a seafood platter for one & a tuna curry. Can’t describe how fresh and delicious both meals were. Setting fabulous sat on the beach listening to waves crashing.

food is delicious and everyone is friendly 🤗 we had grilled prawns, calamari and seafood soup. The day before we took mix and I don’t recommend this one because fish was too dry… better to take it separately. 4 stars because you have to wait order for 40 minutes

Great place, right on the beach, with good seafood and other dishes and really great cocktails and beers, with really friendly service. If you're staying at the Citrus Waskaduwa Hotel, this is an easy stroll away, a few minutes either down the road or the beach.

This was our second time visiting this amazing place. The food is amazing. The staff, the service is super helpful. The location is just perfect with a good view of ocean. The owner is so friendly. U can enjoy sri lankan seafood and more for a good reasonable price. Highly recommended. Definitely we'll come again and have a good time.❤️

Food is awesome. Really tasty and flavorful. Have different varieties of the seafood options on the menu. Friendly staff. Better to order bit early as it takes some time to prepare the food. Have enough parking space. You can enjoy the food facing to the beach. They have BYOB as well, call before you go. Recommended!

Delicious food here and great service from the Owner. Compliments to the chef! Very filling up to the end.. For reservations and pre-order to avoid a longer waiting time you may WhatsApp the Owner (link on their restaurant FB) There are plenty of choices on their menu and only fresh ingredients served.

We had dinner at Fresh Lobsters, right next to Anantara Kalutara, and it was such a unique experience. We ordered vegetable noodles (1000 LKR) and butter garlic prawn sizzles (3000 LKR), which came with vegetable fried rice, fresh fruit (pineapple and another one) with chutney, a yellow potato curry, and a ginger sauce. Everything was delicious, very fresh, and cooked on the spot. The seafood quality was excellent. When we arrived, it was Sunday and the restaurant was empty. Maria welcomed us warmly, made us feel at home, and started cooking for us while the children played. Her husband, Philip, joined us with the kids and, to make the wait more entertaining, surprised us with card magic tricks. A lovely gesture that made the evening even more special. The food came out quite quickly, freshly prepared and full of flavor. Prices are also very affordable for the quality offered. We were impressed by the handwritten guestbooks full of reviews since 2016, with over 1000 notes. It’s a pity they are not on Google or TripAdvisor yet, because they would definitely be one of the top-rated places in the area. In short: delicious food, authentic family atmosphere, fresh seafood, and great prices. A truly memorable experience.

Run by a small family, serving fresh seafood. Food is made to order, expect to wait about an hour for your meal. Call ahead and place your order.

We had the seafood soup, garlic prawns and cuttlefish. Everything was prepared with love and had a definite home-made and authentic touch to it. The prices are very reasonable (especially when compared with the exorbitant prices at the nearby hotel restaurants) and we were served in a very welcoming, homely atmosphere by the owner and his wife. If you are in the area, it is most definitely worth a try. Very highly recommended!

"Amazing sunset views" The owner are very welcoming and will make you feel very comfortable. We had both fish and meat meals and they were very tasty. All food is sourced locally and cooked fresh. If you arrange dinner the night before. You can have your meal at a table on the beach where you can watch the sunset and see the waves crashing onto the beach yards from where you sit. They will even provide a firepit nearby to add to the experience. Attached to the restaurant is a ayurvedic massage and spa center which is very reasonably priced compared with nearby hotels. "Excellent seafood right on the beach" This small but very cosy restaurant gives you the feeling of being home in paradise. A wooden shack right on the beach with a great view of the Indian Ocean, very delicious seafood (lobster, prawns) and great service by the friendly and attentive staff made dining a never to forget experience! I can only recommend the fresh lobster sea view restaurant

A very welcoming restaurant and great food! It does not look anything to fancy and that is exactly how it is. No fuss, delicious seafood! We had the lobster and were not disappointed! The owner is very friendly and provided good service!

Upstairs is airy and cool. Unfortunately smoking inside is alowed. I had seafood pasta, it was a little mushy, had quite a lot fish pieces and a few small shrimps. It wasn't spicy at all. My friend had pasta with vegetables and fried egg and she liked it's taste. They add 10% service to the bill.

Sea shells restaurant has a very nice atmosphere, funky design, kinda eclectic, a lot of flowers and it’s very enjoyable sitting there. You can choose the upper section by the balcony which is nice because you can see the little street but also it’s more refreshing and not that humid. The food was very good, tasty, good amount of spices, nice looking. Me and my mom had Grilled chicken with rice and salad, the chicken was very good, with amazing little sweet sauce. My dad had shrimps and enjoyed them very much. Sister ordered Fish noodles with vegetables and the portion was huge and tasty. The prices are good, for example the chicken dish was around 7 dollars. If you are in Sri Lanka and like to drink some beer, their local one called Lion tastes very good, a pinch amount of sweetness. I enjoyed it very much. Of course when writing this review I can’t forget about the amazing people working there, very kind, smiling a lot, they are taking good care of their costumers. Made us feel very homey. Since we were in the beginning of October and it’s just the beginning of the tourist season, there was only us and other couple as costumers. But judging by the amount of reviews, there is for sure a lot of costumers during the full season. And I wish the as much as they can accommodate 😌 Can’t recommend enough, you won’t be disappointed 🙏🏻

Very tasty food and good ambient. Amazing seafood choices at good prices. Lobster, prawns, fresh fish & fresh tropical fruit juice (mango, passion fruit, papaya etc) 😋 I appreciate that they are able to prepare non spicy food when asked. I had a lot of trouble with this in Sri Lanka, most places with local food will consider non spicy a food that is 🌶️🔥 to me and can't eat it. It's really annoying especially when you're hungry. Never had this problem at Sea Shells, totally recommend it

My friends and I had lunch here early March and had such a pleasant experience. Sithum, our waiter was the sweetest and was very attentive and patient with our many requests. We loved writing our names (in Sinhala!) on the walls too….. keep up the good work and give Sithum a good bonus!! Will visit again! ❤️

Very nice place. I had noodles with vegetables for 1000r. It was good and the portion was also quite big. The atmosphere and staff were also very nice. I would for sure recommend.

Had an amazing lunch here with my friends! The food was delicious, and the customer service was top-notch. Our server was so friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. We had a really great time and will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

Best seafood restaurant in Waskaduwa hotel area. And owner is very kind and friendly.

Prices are very reasonable and the food is very tasty - we have tried only seafood. We also ordered curry which was not in the menu and it was one of three the best curry in Sri Lanka that we ate. Owners speak English very good and are very friendly - they helped us with communication with our driver.

Very good restaurant, fresh food, worth waiting for it every minute. The prices are very low considering the quality that you get. Owners are a lovely family, the atmosphere is really wonderful! I would definitely go there again if I come back to Sri Lanka! 100% would recommend if you want to eat delicious Sri Lankan food and feel the friendly atmosphere 😊

Excellent. We appreciate every meal we ordered. Prices are reasonable as for seafood. They speak English fluently and there is no problem with orders or misunderstanding. They can ever prepare something not included in menu if You ask. thats awesome.

Готовить не умеют . Рыба «гриль» - у них это отварная рыба , помазанная кетчупом со вкусом барбекю. Выглядит красиво , есть не возможно. They don‘t know how to cook. grilled fish is cooked like boiled fish and top dressing barbecue sauce. That’s all...... it looks beautiful but it is not tasty.

execelent place for sea food. I brought some of my client to have a lunch to snapper sea food restaurent and I got highly recommend by them and I also felt it's grate to have sea food in this place

Snapper seafood restaurant is the best ever place to enjoy your meals . They offer you fresh sea food, and the staff are very friendly and given their best service . I can highly recommend this place because I went many different restaurant around here but this is the excellent place I have ever been. Once you visit like a guest I'm pretty sure you will leave as a friend .

Very good place. Prices are below average among local restaurants. Food is amazing, grilled squid here is literally the best squid I've ate in my life.

Requests are fake. Staff doesn't speak English at all. Fresh banana juice is not a juice , it's seems more like puree. I had asked them to bring me cold a juice but they didn't. They are very noisy and always try to cheat with offering some excursions

Wow what a delicious, fresh seafood I have ever eat . Coll place with very helpful working people's. I was 2 weeks at Thurya hotel I ate every day from Snapper seafood restaurant. If your stay around Wadduwa, Waskaduwa, Kaluthara of course you should taste seefood from Snapper restaurant. Specifically clean and fresh seafood for reasonable price

Located at front turyaa hotel waskaduwa(opposite railway).There are soo much experience and much friendly young good staff.seafood is very fresh and chef is making as very delicious.The best foods I ever had for totally fair price in this area.this new restaurant offer big big portions,nicely presented and special secret sauce and we'll service.(this staff team can speak any language English,German,Russian..etc and also they helped us for organized transportation,excursions for the day after at a very reasonable price).I think this new restaurant will become the No:1 restaurant in this area as soon as.good luck!!
