Visit the sea life centre at least once a year. We absolutely love it. Lots of information points as you walk around about the animals around you. We particularly enjoy the submarine that you can walk into and see animals much closer, including the sting rays and blue lobsters.
Ignore what it says online as its says to be there for the time you booked but getting there you get a stamp and are told you can come and go as you please! So this is great if you wanna hear all the talks or go in and out and get a coffee. Place needs a damn good clean!!! But other than that still nice to look around! The talks and feedings were great too!
My son had a lovely time touching the starfish and little waterfall, and loved the sharks. Staff were understanding of his autism and that was much appreciated, cool octopus there too! Going to take him to see the penguins next time. Prices were better too off season, only £16 pp, and a free ticket for a carer if you're on PIP, so saved £16 too. Overall good activity for kids and adults alike, but the gift shop is very expensive! Avoid at all costs if possible haha! Only a stone's throw away from places to get food and drink too, and right on the sea front, bowling alley on the nearby Wellington Pier and arcades also. Very well situated, also close to Pleasure Beach. I'd recommend it to anyone with kids.
Walk through tunnel was lovely, good for the kids to see the animals well. In the room with yellow submarine, you were about to previously purchase food and feed the fish. There was a crocodile which you don't always see at sealife centres. Option to touch a starfish too. Nice as you could pay a little extra and it got you entry to the Giant Wheel too! Gift shop is very large, took kids a long time to pick something.
Not as big as other Sealife Centre s but still plenty to see and do. The café was reasonably priced and the bathroom facilities were very clean. Ample room to change the baby.
Highly recommended to book ticket online since it has discount for blue light card or student etc. The ticket allowed you to go in and out for a day multiple times. Although I must say this aquarium is not as big as others we had been like London, Newquay, Weymouth and Birmingham. Having said that we enjoyed the tunnel watching, penguin, fresh water fish, amphibians and experience on touching star fish.
Our first visit to Great Yarmouth and to the Sea Life Centre been to Blackpool one years ago. This was a different set up bit smaller but nicely set out with Real Penguins talks were imformative and interesting Tanks clean and tidy enjoyable experience cafe clean and plenty of room with clean toilets. Can re-enter after you have left which is a bonus and makes it good value
Visited the SeaLife centre with my daughter whilst on holiday at Great Yarmouth. Bought the tickets in advance. I did get my hand stamped as they said I could enter the shop and cafe anytime that day up to 3pm. Soon as we entered there was a member of staff waiting to take photos for us to purchase at the end. It was good, not as big as the one in London tho, we saw the penguins 🐧 the sharks, loads of fishes, sea horses, octopus 🐙 (can’t believe they have 9 brains 🧠 and 3 hearts)once we came to the end we did purchase our photos they did have a deal (we got 2 photos 2 magnets and 2 small keyring sized pics for £20) then we stopped off to have a look in the gift shop. Overall it was a nice experience as this was our first time visiting the Great Yarmouth SeaLife. 👍🏻

When we read some reviews it did make us laugh or thought perhaps there was some sarcasm (I’m sure someone said squint and u could be in the Maldives). However I did see their point. What an amazing deep beach with soft sand and vigorous sea. Not to choppy not to calm. Loads of space on the beach. I could t see it ever getting packed or to busy. Parking might be an issue perhaps in high season but it would be worth the struggle. Loads of places to eat and drink. Public toilets, arcades, ice creams etc. we will be going back as the beach alone is well worth the visit.
Really lovely beach. We visited with 2 little kids and had an amazing time! Easy (free) parking on the street running alongside the coastline, easy walk down to the beach. Miles of sand, a lot of it dry and comfy to sit on, then some sections of pebbles, and as the sea goes out, more lovely sand. The beach was clean, though we did find a few bits of litter to pick up on our way out. We were there on a hot sunny day in late July, and it wasn't overly busy, loads of space to spread out and play. We arrived at 10am, and parked easily, though I suspect we'd have been a street or so further back if arriving around midday or later. No dogs on the beach (it may be that they're allowed outside of summer though?), so its safe for kids to play without fear of stepping in anything, or being knocked down by racing dogs. There's a lifeguard station, watching an area for swimming between flags, a splash pad (opens at 10am, kids loved it!), and a large pond for model boats. Adjacent to the beach, there are public toilets (near the Pier Hotel), and while a little smelly, they were fine for beachside public toilets. Outside these there are also 2 taps for rinsing feet etc. Overlooking the beach there is an arcade, an ice cream parlour (absolutely amazing!!) and a chip shop/cafe (chips were good). We also visited 2 days prior when it was raining, and had lunch in the storm house cafe (food sensibly priced and decent, nothing fancy but an easy place to stop in). The rain stopped, and we wandered the beach, toddler throwing stones at the waves, and playing in the drier sand. We had the beach to ourselves as far as we could see! I really don't think I can praise it enough, we had a great time and will be back! It's much more sedate than somewhere like Yarmouth, so if you're looking to avoid huge crowds and masses of people packed onto the beach, it's a superb place to go.
Superb beach and surroundings. Loads of stuff to do, from walking, sun bathing or even staying with your little one at the splash zone. Great choice of restaurants and bars to enjoy throughout the area. Loads of parking available at the pier parking. The beach is very sandy, however when getting closer to the water-line it gets a bit rocky and has loads of pebbles and stones. If you are a bit more sensitive when walking on rocky/pebbles, definitely recommend getting some water shoes. Water is quite wavy but at the same time it is lovely. It is a bit cold, even when outside there's 26 degrees for 2 straight days.
Great beach, miles of sand to walk and play on. Always busy. Walk on the prom plenty of benches to sit on and places to eat and drink. Worth a visit.
Wonderful place to sunbathe, enjoy a refreshing swim as the water doesn't retreat as much compared to other beaches. Really great spot since it's close to many restaurants, pubs, shops, parking, etc. The water is very clean, a bit cold even when temps are above 25 degrees on full sunny days. The overall beach is amazing, it's very sandy, however it is very rocky and has a lot of small stones/ pebbles closer to the water.
Gorleston-on-Sea is a really beautiful place. The beach is wide, clean, and never feels too crowded. The views are stunning, especially on a sunny day, and the promenade is perfect for walking or sitting with an ice cream. There are lovely cafés and fish and chip shops nearby, and parking is easy. The atmosphere is calm and friendly — perfect for families, couples, or anyone who wants a peaceful seaside day. One of the nicest spots on the Norfolk coast — always worth the visit.
I heard that this beach is quite quiet compared to the other beaches in Great Yarmouth so we decided to give it a try as we wanted to take our young toddlers to the beach for the first time. Really lovely beach and has a few shops and cafes spotted around, however we were there quite early on a Monday so not sure if more open later on / over the weekend. We also managed to find the Banksy art piece which was a nice surprise! Always wanted to see a Banksy art piece up close! Also there is another art piece that is dedicated to the film ‘Yesterday’ which I saw a few years back and had no idea that the end scene was shot here which was pretty cool to see being a film geek. There’s loads of car park choices and we choose the Pier parking which is £3 for 2 hours and can be sorted using the internet / QR code, so if you’re out and about and want more time you can just extend the time if needs be. Overall great beach if you’re looking for somewhere ‘less hectic’ seaside wise.
Beautiful beach, always a favourite.

Amusement park
Water & Amusement Parks
Free-entry fun park by beach with rides and activities, including a roller coaster and ghost train.
Slide 1 of 8
My new favourite Amusement Park not in Staffordshire or Lancashire! No ride queues and I went on a Saturday in summer! Granted i was with the group which got an extra 2 hours, but still...
Came today. we paid for a card on entry. Easy to use, and you can top up/check balance in lots of places in the park. Most rides are for young kids, nothing too extreme. The wooden roller coaster and monorail were good. Staff seemed friendly, especially the lady at the entrance. Excellent customer service 👍
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Had an amazing day at Great Yarmouth Beach – perfect for a fun family outing! The soft sand and lovely sea made it such a relaxing experience. It wasn’t too busy, which was a nice surprise, and the atmosphere was great. We enjoyed some fresh fish and chips by the sea – absolutely delicious and full of flavour! The only downside was the number of seagulls (they really love the chips!), but it didn’t spoil the day. All in all, a fantastic spot for some seaside fun. Highly recommended!
We visited here on a Wednesday evening, for the late opening hours, in late July and arrived at half five, meaning we could take advantage of the late evening wristband pricing (£17 for 5 until 9:30). There are also fun cards at £5 or £10 which offer 5 or 10 ride credits and can be topped up inside the park. However suspect the latter are a false economy if you have more than 2 or 3 rides - especially in the evening, as most main rides are 4 or 5 credits. There was a fair size of queue to the ticket booth but it moved quickly and probably only took 5 to 10 minutes to get to the entrance. There is a good range of flat rides and four coasters, with all costers being aimed at family-friendly. The wooden roller coaster is the oldest in the UK and has a brake man riding on the train. While not the smoothest or comfiest ride, it is good to ride a bit of history. The remaining three are Family Star, a short spinning wild mouse and two small kiddy coasters. The flat rides are good variety, with spinning and drops and also a gyro swing. What struck us was that the park was relatively quiet for school holiday season and queues were short. The ride throughput would be increased further if the very slow wristband scanning was not performed - not really sure why this is needed as takes a got 10 seconds to read each one, based on our experience. Food offerings are OK - there is a large hot food stall that does hotdogs (not so good), burgers (better) and loaded fries (decent) amongst other offerings. All in all, worth a visit even in peak summer as really never felt busy and plenty of ride opportunities.
Went as a family. You can get 5 credits to get in and use on one ride if going with a group of kids. The food hall and bar are great. The rides make it more like a smaller fair rather than a pleasure beach like Blackpool but still great.
A Fantastic Day Out at Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach! We had an amazing time at Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach! There’s a perfect mix of classic rides, family-friendly attractions, and thrill-seeking roller coasters. The historic wooden roller coaster is an absolute must-try – a true blast from the past! The park was clean, well-organised, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout the day. Entry with the wristband is great value for money, especially if you’re planning to go on lots of rides. It’s also right by the beach, so we could enjoy the rides and then relax with some fish and chips on the seafront. Plenty of food options, clean toilets, and seating areas made it comfortable for families. Whether you’re visiting with kids, friends, or as a couple, it’s a great spot for some good old-fashioned fun. Highly recommend – we’ll definitely be back next summer!
I couldn't really find anything to fault here yesterday with three bored kids. Despite it being a Peak Season Sunday all the queues were very short, just a couple of minutes. A little longer for the big coaster but even that was less than ten minutes. Every ride looked to be well staffed, no litter in sight. The guy manning the Dodgems literally couldn't have been more helpful and friendly, he gave the impression he genuinely wanted to be there. Over the course of the day my lads went on about thirty(!) rides each, so they got superb value from their 'all rides' wristbands. The only thing I could ask was for some concessions for Blue Light card holders, other than that, an easy five stars!
So its the end of summer, the rain is biblical, but Great Yarmouth still saved a little magic for us. Rainbows over the beach. Oh, and a cheeky ice cream. The great British summer delivers.

Absolutely loved visiting this place while we were on holiday - we brought tickets and was able to go again for free withing the week of purchase. Friendly staff, even have a little miniature golf course. My little boy absolutely loved watching the fish in the pond. Would definitely reccomend if this is something youre interested in.
If you're looking for a delightful, condensed glimpse into English life and landscapes, model villages are a perfect choice. They're incredibly charming and are sure to bring back a sense of nostalgia. I highly recommend checking them out as they never disappoint 😆😁😭
Great to visit this place my wife loves Model Villages so we always pop into one when we are near one We live near here so always worth a yearly visit. The place is great well maintained some nice models and the gardens and plants here are well looked after as well. If your local and have a NR postcode they offer discount of 25% I did not know this but luckily i always carry my driving license so got some discount which is always an advantage.
Beautiful place to spend an hour or two. It is very well kept, the gardens are lovely and the exhibits are regularly updated. The tea rooms and arcade at the end are also well worth a visit. It is also fairly priced.
No queuing, staff our very friendly and helpful also has a little mini golf including. Very gd for all ages, can fit pram or wheelchairs around fine
Great place, was very well maintained and the models and figures are really good with a sense of humour as well. Golf included 9 holes which was good, went back in the evening to see it with lights om and watch fireworks. Perfect for all ages!
£12 for an adult ticket and £9 for senior citizens. Worth every penny. Had a lovely peaceful stroll around the miniature village. Very clean and well kept. Many thanks

Small theme park for young children. The rides are very well kept considering their age. It's like stepping back in time but in a good way. I have childhood memories of going on the same rides that my daughter has now had a ride on including the snails.
Been coming here for 40 years, still love it. Snails are still a highlight. It's so small and tightly packed that it's a bit claustrophobic though. Very hard with a wheelchair to get around without bashing into everyone else. That being said, still amazing for the kids.
Really liked Joyland, its not huge but just right for the older kids that can get on by themselves. I do like the token system and like how they give you stickers with your number on it to access your pictures at the end. The time we went wasn't soo busy so was pleasant. Little cramped but otherwise really good, would go again!
Brilliant we all had such fun on the 18 hole pirate crazy golf. It also has facts about pirates on the way round
We visited on a quiet day and most rides were open. We wanted to see the famous Snails Ride for which Joyland is known for and we was not disappointed. There it was stood in glamour, opened in 1949 and still there to it's day. Joyland is a young children's Amusements park with rides just for them. You pay via tokens and entrance is free. You can find a video of our visit on our youtube channel.
Amazing and completely unique family run amusement Park. Suitable for every single age group without exception! No visit to Gt Yarmouth is complete with a ride on the snails. Lots of fun and incredibly nostalgic.
we visited last week, i DID NOT feel the joy guys, We rode the snails, very excited for this, The man operating it was extremely rude. I asked if there was a specific place my daughter should sit & his response was, I don’t know i just work here…snatched the tokens and looked away. Leaving me to scramble into the snail and just figure it out. The vibe was completely off & we left. If you are going to call yourself joyful at least make sure your staff are joyful & care about safety.
Great day out. I have been coming here 30 years since I was a child I am now taking my children and to my delight it’s exactly the same as it was back then it’s so amazing to see such a Gem unchanged as the times move so fast. Only thing different was the price as to be expected. 10/10

Brilliant museum and well worth a visit. Perfect for a chilly day on the coast. We spent good few hours here learning the history of the local area and the building itself. There was also a fab exhibition on Automata that my son loved.
I loved this museum. Lots to see , well set out and so interesting. Friendly and helpful staff. One of the best museums I’ve visited and there has been a lot of them ! So much to learn about the history of Great Yarmouth. A real gem. Highly recommended.
A very good museum covering a lot of history with varied exhibits. Using the building to tell the story of the Herring industry is unique and interesting. Pleasant staff, decent gift shop and easy to park. Well priced and recommended 👌
Definitely worth visiting. Give yourself plenty of time. So at least 2 hours. You could easily go longer.Lots of things to keep both young and old entertained. We booked the tickets online. There's a carpark nearby if you're driving. Staff were kind and helpful. There was a special exhibition of 50 years of Miffy which was equally enjoyable. Certainly recommend as an great day out for the family
A real gem in Great Yarmouth. It's much larger that it appears and the museum has great exhibits on the rich history of the town like the fishing industry, the gone rows or the seaside holiday destination it was for decades
What a Fantastic Place to explore cheap entrance fee and very very imformative plenty of artifacts to see and a lot of imformation at hand to read and find out about the time>Theres even a smokey smell as you go round reminding you of smoking haddock.Time moves forward as you go around untill you arrive at the 60s and 70s part which brings back so many memories of my childhood absolutley worh a visit and could easily spend 2-3 hours here.Finished off with a drink and snack in the tea room very nice.
brilliant museum showcasing life in Great Yarmouth a long time during the fishing industry years. surprisingly big as well.
Parking nearby. Large reception area. Helpful and engaging staff. Interesting displays. Great for groups of young children. We went for the Miffy exhibition. The courtyard cafe had a good selection of cakes.

Really nice stadium to watch motor racing. Great family atmosphere, everyone so friendly and welcoming. Catering facilities top notch for a venue like this, the loaded fries were incredible, burgers tasty. Easy to access, loads of parking. Great day/evening out, even our 9 month old loved the racing.
Always love a bit of banger racing when we are in great Yarmouth. Reasonable price for a family ticket. Lots of parking. Entertaining night out for all the family Friendly , helpful staff. Definitely worth a visit
Wicked fun evening watching the bangers, not much parking but an abundance of space in the area. Toilets weren’t bad to be fair and the price of food and drink was better than I expected! Lots of action, definitely wasn’t boring!
What can I say that the Yarmouth Stadium is definitely worth a visit if you are in Great Yarmouth well worth the price as it around 3 hours of racing bangers, I would say take a chair and food and drinks as cash as the vans around the track only take cash as they all get very busy for food and drinks
Went to the Halloween banger racing meeting - what a night out!! Parking next to main building, few quid, good amenties once inside, £50 for family ticket. Loads of places to watch action from. Staff nice. Track walk fun, drivers were absolutely lovely. Kids especially enjoyed the caravan derby, watching them get smashed to pieces!! Definitely worth doing if in the area. Downsides - very expensive low quality hot drinks, snacks pricey (removed a star for this) but you can take your own in to avoid very high cost. Very cold (it is outdoors obviously) so extra layers, thick coats a must. All in all, a brilliant experience and loads of fun
Great night banger racing, only negatives are food vendors outside are cash only and it’s a long walk for toilets if you are watching on the kennels side of the track.
Fantastic evening out. From the minute we arrived we were treated kindly due to having disabled children, they let us in for reduced prices even though they dont do confessions. The manager was lovely and went out of her way to help. Banger racing is great and we go whenever we can. Parking available and even closer to the venue if you have a blue badge. You are charged £2 per car to enter the carpark. Its well managed with Marshalls too.
A superb evening of stock car and Banger racing at a great venue. Parking easy and only £2. If you decide not to sit in the grandstand there is great banked viewing around the stadium with great views. Food etc reasonably priced compared to other stadiums I have been to. Toilets were okay 👍 Would recommended a visit here.

First time at Great Yarmouth and we loved it! We stay not to far from the beach and main attractions. We got most things covered in the 2 days we were there. Really clean, lots of places to eat from, lots of attractions for the kids. Will definitely be coming again
Large, clean and welcoming beach. Very well looked after and nice and sandy too. Dogs are permitted, but not in all areas which is understandable. Long coastline and has lots of walks available too
Lovely clean promenade. Nice walk with a sea view next to a wide sandy beach. Loads of amenities, food and souvenir shops. Not the cheapest though especially kids rides and activities usually £6 to £8 per child and for 15 mins only. Britannia Pier entry free. The arcade is huge and plenty to do. Overall it's a well maintained area, recommended.
Not been to Yarmouth since I was a kid in single figures... but I remember a sunny packed beach and deckchairs... hundreds of em, shows my age, nobody on it now, plenty of room for bouncy castles though... whatever happened to the deckchair hire? Times change! Beach a mixture of sand pebbles and odd bits of rubbish, sign of the times i suppose. Seafront pretty busy though, plenty of arcades to dispose of your hard earned cash by the kids, not a great deal else to do bar drag em round the shops moaning....
Model village and attached cafe were nice enough, beach is fairly featureless and very uninviting walking past a very tall fence surrounding the pleasure park which was closed. Getting there was a chore with lots of traffic and going through the maze of ratty one way streets. Felt like a waste of a day's holiday and won't be going back.
Great promenade with food, souvenir shops and amusements. Beach a bit pebbly but fine at the top end in the dunes.
Absolutely stunning! It is so clean. Loads of places to eat, drink and shop. So much varied entertainment, you will never be bored.
We have a wonderful day ay great yarmouth seafront. Very well kept and tidy. Public toilets were clean and well kept. Lots for fun to have all a long the seafront. Car parking is a good price too.

We have just returned from a week away at Richardson's Hemsby Beach Holiday Park and I have to say it was extremely pleasant. As a family we have stayed in a number of holiday parks around the coasts of the UK and at various price ranges. This one is in what i would put as affordable, but this does not in any way take away from the site. The welcome was personal, informative and friendly which after a long journey was welcomed. The team are fab and always on hand to help, even out of hours when there is security and maintenance teams on call. The site has everything you would need with a pool, entertainments centre, food hall, bar, outside activities and cycle hire for all members of the family. Just off site but attached to there is a local store, take aways and arcades with the arcades being the only real let down for us as they were more focused on gambling, tokens and claw machines which let my son and myself down who like a arcade game. The accommodation we were in was a very short walk from the beautiful Hemsby beach with us waking to the sounds of the waves and allowed us to walk down to the beach to enjoy a cuppa and watch the sun come up. The accommodations vary in style, cost, size and age so there is something for everyone. We are looking at returning to stay in the villa later in the year as it is perfect for families with disabled members. I would very much recommend this site for your stay and if you have fur babies then its ideal.
Booked a chalet for a week which we wasn’t expecting anything glamorous, we just wanted a cheap and cheerful week away. The chalet itself was immaculate when we got there but please for the love of god please do something about the mattresses. They are quite possibly the worst things I’ve ever had the displeasure of sleeping on and another member of our party using the apartments have had the same problem. Always known I’ve never had the greatest back but sleeping on these make the issue 1000x worse. The facilities and the staff were more than helpful when we arrived and while using the entertainment hall and the entertainment for kids was really good. If it wasn’t for the mattresses it would of been a fantastic week
Fantastic place to stay and on the doorstep of the beach! So much room there and dogs welcome too! We stayed in a lovely caravan with a hot tub sunk into the deck. Everything was clean, tidy and ready to go when we arrived. Just remember your towels, as none are provided. There’s only a single plug in the bedrooms, so take an extension lead if more than a few people staying. The arcades are wonderful nearby and plenty places to eat and drink! We’ll definitely be going back!
My daughter booked this holiday and invited by husband and I to accompany them, the caravan slept 8 and we were booked into a Gold 3 caravan (pets). We didn’t bring the dog so requested to see if we could change to a different caravan. No was the response. Fair enough. This Gold 3 caravan was absolutely disgusting. The smell on entering was diabolical, we had to buy furniture freshener to hide the smell. The furniture was so badly stained as was the floor. There was no way we could allow ourselves or the children to have nothing on our feet. The toilet seat should have been changed years ago it was absolutely a disgrace and had to be cleaned before allowing the children to use it. The bedding was clean and supplied for the 3 bedrooms, unfortunately for the 7/8 bed there was only sheets provided. There was plenty of crockery although one glass did have a crack in it which we placed out of reach of the children. As for cutlery, loads of knives, 7 forks and 5 dessert spoons. Luckily the weather was brilliant so we spent our time on the beach thank goodness.
Booked a silver caravan, not pet friendly but was covered in dog hair. Was not clean at all. Requested extra bedding and when taking it out the wardrobe it had a big yellow stain. This was replaced. The water was unbelievably hot was like kettle water. This was dangerous reported to reception who contacted maintenance straight away. Lots to do and was lovely to have own parking space. I would not be keen to return to be honest it was not for me and my family and I was mainly put off by the state of the caravan I was not expecting it to be out of this world but was expecting it to be clean in which it was not.
Hi! Really awesome place to stay! The location to Hemsby seafront is perfect & aforementioned seafront beautiful, a fantastic mix of greenery & beach! As for the accommodation it's sweet as! My only gripe is the mattresses not comfortable & if you are driving there bring blankets or mattress toppers to ease that! Apart from that brilliant place!
It would have been 5 star if there were a few alterations. ++you could visit without a car and not get bored ++ RICHARDSONs are clearly interested in investing in their site and Hemsby. Their staff seem happy and willing to help. I'm excited to revisit in a few years. The caravan. The first caravan we were given (gold plus pet) smelt of stale smoke. I spoke with reception immediately and they moved up to gold plus pet with hottub. We were exceptionally lucky they had a spare. I've no idea what we would have done otherwise. Now.... We chose gold plus with pet for our August stay. It was very basic and if it was called silver or bronze then it would have lived up to the name. Gold makes you think luxury. Unfortunately the carpets and upholstery need replacing or refurbishment due to stains. The caravan itself was clean upon arrival. It wouldn't take a lot to make these vans gold. Maybe a bit of colour, new carpet and some vases and pictures around to make it more homely. All in all our van was okay but didn't live up to the name The hottubs are brilliant and are worth the money. The site. Amazingly clean and well maintained. I've only seen one doggy poop on the whole site and there are a lot of dogs here. Grass cut and land maintained. The beach is within walking distance and dog friendly. With ice cream van and lifeguards on duty. Fish and chips as well as entertainment. The pool is a little older but it is clean. (they could improve this by enforcing no shoes in the changing rooms) we attended a pool party which was brilliant. Lots of inflatables, not overcrowded at all. Family fun music and lots of smiling lifeguards splashing us all. Special shout to Jordan who seen my son struggling a little and just as he was about to splash him, he stopped and watched him to the shallow end..... He even took a song request. Activities and entertainment The activities were very relaxed. My son took part in Airboardz. He was not a natural but very much enjoyed it. Again Jordan was brilliant and when my son fell off hitting his head on the ground (helmet and safety gear was worn) he checked on him and encouraged him back onboard. My son completed the games and the whole event was very relaxed. The entertainment was very good on site. Fireworks on the beach every Tues 10pm. Gt Yarmouth itself was exceptionally clean and the council are investing lots of money throughout. Lots of buses and car trains to hop on. You could comfortably arrive without a car and not need to get a taxi.
Well what can I say . Absolutely shocking. First arrived at our gold+ caravan. But Don't expect it to be of a gold standard. It's less than bog standard. Very old and run down . Broken table, Broken fridge freezer. Had to clean caravan on arrival as it had not been cleaned. Staff are friendly enough. But Don't expect much for your money. Stayed 56 Barton. Georgina Armstrong.

Well worth the money, we had a very interesting day, first the castle, we walked the ruins and climbed the tower. I wouldn't recommend the tower to anyone with mobility issues as it has very high, uneven steps. The history of Caister Castle is very interesting and it's well worth purchasing the book at the entrance We stopped in the tea rooms and had tea and cake which was reasonably priced. We entered the car and motorbike collection and were totally amazed, there are so many different cars and motorbikes, old prams, bicycles, kids toys, sewing machines, hat pins, ornaments and so much more. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly, they were able to tell us so much about the collection and the Hill families desire to preserve the cars for many years to come Parking is plentiful and free, there is wheelchair access for all except the tower. Don't be put off by the price it's worth every penny
missed opening hours but probably for the better as it is not really a castle, the tower only standing, there's also an exhibition of old cars at rather steep a ticket price. I would say go if you are a car enthusiast. Nice walk though, from Great Yarmouth along Bure river, and back by the beach.
A great surprise, very tidy organised and very good quality exhibits, well laid out, assessabilty very good. The castle although not a great big site, what is left is very interesting, and if you are fit enough the climb up to the top of the tower is great to do, need to be able and reasonably fit and not afraid of heights. The car museum is well worth it if interested in motor vechiles and memorabilia, again easy access and all on one level. The cafe is small but as they say perfectly fit for purpose and has great produce, plus prices are really good. Worth a visit go make your own mind up
Lovely place, wish there was some more information about the castle around the site. Nice little cafe, and the car collection was really good, so many different vehicles, bikes, prams and so much more. A good little quiz to keep kids entertained and engaged which helped! Staff were really friendly and helpful.
Caister Castle is a stunning historic site. The tall medieval tower and atmospheric ruins take you straight back in time. Climbing to the top rewards you with breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. The grounds are peaceful and well kept, making it a perfect place for a family walk, to explore history, or simply to enjoy the quiet charm of the past. Truly a gem of Norfolk’s heritage.
Lovely place to visit great car collection, great views all the way to yarmouth from top of tower pretty ruins gardens , great cup of tea. If you love cars and castles highly recommend
Lovely visit. Walked around the car museum. Vast array of cars, bikes, and other memorabilia is really enjoyable.
Great place to visit really friendly staff and a great collection if cars

Lovely beach, away from hustle and bustle! Enjoyed a sunny day, plenty of paddles, stone throwing and picking. Toilets about a 5 minute walk from the beach, just to the side of the nearest car park.
Lovely quiet and natural spot north of the happy madness that is Great Yarmouth beach. Parking is an issue if you have a roof box.
Quite a nice place lovely beach went in the lifeboat station which has a very good cafe and shop the staff were excellent
A quiet beach popular with local dog walkers with fantastic views of Scroby Sands wind farm. Best visited early in the morning at sunrise with the sun illuminating the wind farm and the sea. The beach as a mix of foliage, sand, and shingles. It's fairly clear of any little but does have some dilapidated wave breakers that have sharp rusted metal to be cautious of.
Lovely beach, lots sand dunes to negotiate. Very stoney at the waters edge. Not sure of water quality but lots people in the water. Dogs are allowed on the beach, saw no sign of dog poo so people must be picking it up and taking away.
Lovely quiet and dog friendly beach, its quite stoney and on a slant in places so not the easiest to walk on. The water is quite deep close to the shore so my dog enjoys a swim but isn't miles out. Only downside here is the palm oil warnings around which is quite scary for taking dogs there!
Beautiful sandy beach, not too busy and a great spot for seal spotting. Loved it!
Nice little beach, popular for walking, especially dog walkers. Nice dunes and soft sand. Plenty of free parking nearby.

Lovely pier, free to enter. Lots on offer covering everything with food, entertainment and activities. Nice and clean and well kept. All staff encountered were extremely friendly and helpful. Proper British pier
Not a bad place, kiddies rides expensive and staff were sparce, but had a decent couple hours, staff were friendly and apologised for us waiting, but wasn't their fault. Worth a visit.
This amusement arcade is huge and has a lot of new machine and old machines there is a downstairs in this arcade and a food place to get food and drinks at the entrance, there is a small ride area at the back of the pier which has a small kids roller coast and dodgems if you love your coin pushers and grab machines this is a good arcade to visit if you are in Great Yarmouth
Took a little stroll through and it looks like a bit of fun. Plus the beach and the beach views are really beautiful.
Really nice Pier with plenty to do. Has a theatre with great shows, funfair at the end of the Pier. Fun pub that is open seasonal. I didn't get to go in here but looked good. There is also a very large Amusement arcade. All staff in there seemed friendly. The view from the Pier was very nice, being able to overlook the sea in one direction and all of the hotels and attractions in another. There is a video from our visit on our youtube channel.
Lovely promenade like back in the day, lots of amusements and food and souvenir shops !
Absolutely beautiful and plenty to do and keep the kids entertained! Just a short walk away from the town where there are ample shops to fulfill any rock requirements. Lots of nice (and reasonably priced) places to eat. Parking close by which was very reasonably priced too (North drive car park £10 for the whole day) Was perfect for a short getaway for me and my family. Highly recommended.
We visit Great Yarmouth every year for my father in laws birthday. It was his 86th this year so we thought we'd go onto the newly refurbished pier. We had a great time on the 2p machines and walked down to the funfair. Lovely atmosphere with so many families of all ages.

If you can forgive the self indulgent photos, I love the period costumes which you get an opportunity to see and try on. Go room to room visiting what life may have been like for the wealthy that lived, lay, dined, plotted maybe... View the articles and written information, climb the haunted staircase... OK so it wasn't haunted as such but felt like it could be, should be. Lots to see so allow yourself some time to take it in. I love history so was there around 40 minutes. There is on street parking nearby or at car parks. Do check for opening times.. and there are concessions. Visited on heritage days so was free however still great value
A National Trust property, situated close to the waterfront. This particular property has passed through a number of hands, and over the years, it has been quite substantially modified and restructured. It is not one of the grand mansions so often preserved by the National Trust, just the typical residence of a wealthy local merchant. Because of its size, there are only a few staff available, and they mostly work in the shop on the ground floor. There is a short video running on a loop in the first downstairs room, and this offers a good introduction to the property and its various owners. It's worth highlighting that some of the information is factual, but some is based upon local belief with limited documentary evidence. As you go around the property, you get a good sense of how it might have looked during the various stages of occupation. Of particular note is the wood panelling in the different rooms. There are various things added in, such as different initials and numerous carvings. In one room, there is a particularly splendid ceiling of moulded plaster. As others have noted, there was some replica clothing available to try on: even adults occasionally like to play "dress up"! On the upper floors, there were some interesting and informative displays, including a room set-up as a 17th-century birthing room and rather more randomly, a slightly more modern children's play room. An eclectic mix! Amongst the displays in the lower rooms were a number of domestic utilities from the various periods, including tools, utensils, crockery, etc. By the back door into the garden is a very interesting item that most seem to miss; a hand operated pump that would be used to draw water up into the sink. All in all, it is a fascinating look into the past. You should note that there is no parking on site, but there is a pay and display car park a short walk of about 100 metres, a few roads behind the house.
Interesting place to visit at the historic quay area away from seafront crowds. Friendly welcome, free parking nearby, (South quay car park)or some reasonable ones on Ring go app.
Lovely bit of history lies with in Great Yarmouth hidden along river yare. Perfect For hour or two activity. It can be perceived As stepping back in time. Educational too.
Intriguing restoration/recreation of an Elizabethan town house in Great Yarmouth that's also historically important, as important people who visited the house plotted the execution of Charles I. right here, in the so-called "Conspiracy Room". Which is also the most fascinating room in the house and includes a number of interesting artefacts. It's not clear whether Oliver Cromwell ever visited the house himself, but that hardly matters - it's steeped in history as it is. The museum is run by "National Trust", and the entrance price of UKP 6.50 (adult ticket) is totally justified. The volunteer at the information desk was very friendly and helpful. You'll get a glimpse into everyday early 17th to 19th century upper middle class life, too. There's a kitchen, a study room, a bedroom, and more - but it's the "Conspiracy Room" that seals the deal. Plenty of info boards around to make you understand the exhibits better. One of the few historic sights in this town, definitely worth a visit (won't take you more than an hour). You can also relax for a bit in the small back garden.
A charming house full of history and a lovely atmosphere.
Nice little museum, one of a few little hidden ones around Yarmouth. Good history of the house and the civil war period.
Good museum in great Yarmouth a building with quite a lot of history over the years, I know it's known as the elizebethen house but most of the stuff inside was from the victoriana era, but still a beautifull house to say the least, few areas needed some repairs but overall was a good visit. Plenty to see but doesn't take that long to get around and if you have a national trust membership it's free.

A fantastic theatre that boasts an amazing array of acting memorabilia that makes you feel as if you are stepping back in time. A very warm welcoming feeling as you enter the theatre. The staff are professional, friendly and attentive. Worth popping in just for a Cuppa to experience and view the amazing collection of memorabilia that surrounds you.
Always friendly and helpful when I telephone, great selection of shows throughout the year, lovely building and plenty of parking nearby. Staff friendly and a marvellous coffee and tea buffet serving crisps and biscuits. Comfortable seats and clean toilets. They sell Lakenham Creamery ice cream which is made locally and excellent. Pavilion Players out on wonderful shows, thoroughly enjoyed Funny Money last night, thought I had lost my phone last night and a member of staff helped me look for it and kindly called it so it could be found, so very grateful for the assistance. Several shows already booked for the year and looking forward to returning soon.
Just seen the Summertime Special with Olly Day and cast. WOW where else can you get such a great show with only a cast of 8. They were fantastic, fabulous singing, dancing and aerial work. Comedy and magic, mime and music. Ice cream at interval was delicious 😋 we will be back for more
The theatre while being a lovely old fashioned venue and the show we went to see was of a good quality, I can only state in fairness that the staff appear to be running a priority service for relatives of staff members. We encountered a very rude and obnoxious woman who appeared to be under the impression that as one of her relatives was a manager there she could behave in a very rude manner to other paying guests when a mix up in seating occured she became very aggressive towards me, demanding I show her my ticket, which I refused to do and snatched the table arrangement card out of my hand, when she then proceeded to go and get said management he refused to make the woman apologise for her behaviour and treated my husband and I as if we had been the agressors. We will not be visiting this venue again.
Went to the puppet show on Sunday it was amazing 🤩 The children really loved it and layout of seats and tables really made a difference. Such a lovely theatre with lovely staff
A lovely little theatre with great staff. Summer Showtime 2025 was brilliant, will absolutely be back for the 2026 show if there is one.
A terrific theatre with an unusual cabaret style layout and table service. Really well thought out and very traditional. We look forward to coming back with Seriously Collins, DSUK Dire Straits and Prestige Sound.
Beautiful theatre decorated so lovely like stepping back in time. The staff were very friendly and the bar was well stocked with lots of choice. Great pantomime fantastic atmosphere

I thought the car boot was good, I was hoping for a few more stalls and maybe some more food stalls, but this could just be a small one. We thought it was a nice car boot but we wasn't there too long as it was small. It was enjoyable though. It's a nice touch that it's free entry
Superb value Racing. £20 for a ‘Day at the races’ ticket. This includes a program 📖 pie 🥧 & pint 🍺, plus entry & free parking. Brilliant. Lovely, friendly staff - all eager to help if needed. The course is spotlessly clean. A credit to everyone who puts the effort in to make it look Fantastic. If you get a chance to go…….go. 🐎 💨 💨💨💨💨💨💨
Went for comic con . Oh my goodness what a turn out that day was. Got some lovely bargains and the place really took us by surprise ! Excellent all the way till the end
Relaxed atmosphere, old style racecourse. Afternoon racing ideal. Food /drink prices are a bit steep but you expect that. Toilets used nearest the entrance were awful however grandstand ones were fine.
I can tell you straight from the horses mouth that this is a great place to come for an afternoon/ evening out. Should you bet for the favourite, or go for an outsider? That is the equestrian. I had a few wins but my luck didn't last furlong. Stop foaling around now. Plenty of free parking, lots of betting stands in front of the grandstand, loads of space to take your own picnic and sit on the grass. Beer a bit pricey at +£5 a pint but lots of fun and well worth the visit.
Excellent carboot every Sunday with some good bargins available. There was plenty of sellers. Easy to park and access is flat. There is somewhere to get drinks and sandwiches and an ice cream van. Everyone was friendly. We will visit the carboot again
Super hero fun day What a rip off no super hero’s very disappointed children!!!! Holiday treat not!!!! £22 per adult children free but just wanted to go home as no super hero’s !
