Specialty Museums
The Time and Tide Museum of Great Yarmouth Life is a captivating maritime museum located in a converted Victorian warehouse that was once used for herring curing. The museum offers an immersive journey through the history of Great Yarmouth, from its Ice Age origins to its development as a popular seaside resort. Visitors can explore reconstructed Victorian row houses, experience life on board a drifter, and step into a 1950s fish wharf scene.
Brilliant museum and well worth a visit. Perfect for a chilly day on the coast. We spent good few hours here learning the history of the local area and the building itself. There was also a fab exhibition on Automata that my son loved.

I loved this museum. Lots to see , well set out and so interesting. Friendly and helpful staff. One of the best museums I’ve visited and there has been a lot of them ! So much to learn about the history of Great Yarmouth. A real gem. Highly recommended.
Patricia C — Google review
A very good museum covering a lot of history with varied exhibits. Using the building to tell the story of the Herring industry is unique and interesting. Pleasant staff, decent gift shop and easy to park. Well priced and recommended 👌
James M — Google review
Definitely worth visiting. Give yourself plenty of time. So at least 2 hours. You could easily go longer.Lots of things to keep both young and old entertained. We booked the tickets online. There's a carpark nearby if you're driving. Staff were kind and helpful. There was a special exhibition of 50 years of Miffy which was equally enjoyable. Certainly recommend as an great day out for the family
Melinda ( — Google review
A real gem in Great Yarmouth. It's much larger that it appears and the museum has great exhibits on the rich history of the town like the fishing industry, the gone rows or the seaside holiday destination it was for decades

What a Fantastic Place to explore cheap entrance fee and very very imformative plenty of artifacts to see and a lot of imformation at hand to read and find out about the time>Theres even a smokey smell as you go round reminding you of smoking haddock.Time moves forward as you go around untill you arrive at the 60s and 70s part which brings back so many memories of my childhood absolutley worh a visit and could easily spend 2-3 hours here.Finished off with a drink and snack in the tea room very nice.
Paul A — Google review
brilliant museum showcasing life in Great Yarmouth a long time during the fishing industry years. surprisingly big as well.

Parking nearby. Large reception area. Helpful and engaging staff. Interesting displays. Great for groups of young children. We went for the Miffy exhibition. The courtyard cafe had a good selection of cakes.

Aquarium
SEA LIFE Great Yarmouth is a family-friendly attraction located on the famous seafront of Great Yarmouth. It offers a variety of sea creatures, including blacktip reef sharks, African dwarf crocodiles, and clownfish. Visitors can explore the world of jellyfish in the Jelly Invaders display, observe Humboldt penguins, and walk through an ocean tunnel surrounded by a quarter-million liters of seawater.
Visit the sea life centre at least once a year. We absolutely love it. Lots of information points as you walk around about the animals around you. We particularly enjoy the submarine that you can walk into and see animals much closer, including the sting rays and blue lobsters.
Catherine B — Google review
Ignore what it says online as its says to be there for the time you booked but getting there you get a stamp and are told you can come and go as you please! So this is great if you wanna hear all the talks or go in and out and get a coffee. Place needs a damn good clean!!! But other than that still nice to look around! The talks and feedings were great too!
Natasha P — Google review
My son had a lovely time touching the starfish and little waterfall, and loved the sharks. Staff were understanding of his autism and that was much appreciated, cool octopus there too! Going to take him to see the penguins next time. Prices were better too off season, only £16 pp, and a free ticket for a carer if you're on PIP, so saved £16 too. Overall good activity for kids and adults alike, but the gift shop is very expensive! Avoid at all costs if possible haha! Only a stone's throw away from places to get food and drink too, and right on the sea front, bowling alley on the nearby Wellington Pier and arcades also. Very well situated, also close to Pleasure Beach. I'd recommend it to anyone with kids.
Elvira N — Google review
Walk through tunnel was lovely, good for the kids to see the animals well. In the room with yellow submarine, you were about to previously purchase food and feed the fish. There was a crocodile which you don't always see at sealife centres. Option to touch a starfish too. Nice as you could pay a little extra and it got you entry to the Giant Wheel too! Gift shop is very large, took kids a long time to pick something.
Charlotte N — Google review
Not as big as other Sealife Centre s but still plenty to see and do. The café was reasonably priced and the bathroom facilities were very clean. Ample room to change the baby.
Christine C — Google review
Highly recommended to book ticket online since it has discount for blue light card or student etc. The ticket allowed you to go in and out for a day multiple times. Although I must say this aquarium is not as big as others we had been like London, Newquay, Weymouth and Birmingham. Having said that we enjoyed the tunnel watching, penguin, fresh water fish, amphibians and experience on touching star fish.
Serene D — Google review
Our first visit to Great Yarmouth and to the Sea Life Centre been to Blackpool one years ago. This was a different set up bit smaller but nicely set out with Real Penguins talks were imformative and interesting Tanks clean and tidy enjoyable experience cafe clean and plenty of room with clean toilets. Can re-enter after you have left which is a bonus and makes it good value
Paul A — Google review
Visited the SeaLife centre with my daughter whilst on holiday at Great Yarmouth. Bought the tickets in advance. I did get my hand stamped as they said I could enter the shop and cafe anytime that day up to 3pm. Soon as we entered there was a member of staff waiting to take photos for us to purchase at the end. It was good, not as big as the one in London tho, we saw the penguins 🐧 the sharks, loads of fishes, sea horses, octopus 🐙 (can’t believe they have 9 brains 🧠 and 3 hearts)once we came to the end we did purchase our photos they did have a deal (we got 2 photos 2 magnets and 2 small keyring sized pics for £20) then we stopped off to have a look in the gift shop. Overall it was a nice experience as this was our first time visiting the Great Yarmouth SeaLife. 👍🏻

Nestled along the picturesque South Beach Parade in Great Yarmouth, Merrivale Model Village is a delightful destination that promises to enchant visitors of all ages. This charming attraction features an intricately designed model village complete with a stunning garden railway, whimsical penny arcade, and engaging mini-golf course.
Absolutely loved visiting this place while we were on holiday - we brought tickets and was able to go again for free withing the week of purchase. Friendly staff, even have a little miniature golf course. My little boy absolutely loved watching the fish in the pond. Would definitely reccomend if this is something youre interested in.

Great to visit this place my wife loves Model Villages so we always pop into one when we are near one We live near here so always worth a yearly visit. The place is great well maintained some nice models and the gardens and plants here are well looked after as well. Beautiful place to spend an hour or two. It is very well kept, the gardens are lovely and the exhibits are regularly updated. The tea rooms and arcade at the end are also well worth a visit. It is also fairly priced.

Circus
The Hippodrome Circus, located in Great Yarmouth, is a historic venue that has been hosting a variety of entertainment since it was built in 1903. This purpose-built circus building offers classical and pop concerts as well as water spectacles within its unusual circus ring. Owned by former pop musician Peter Jay, the venue hosts the Great Yarmouth Summer Spectacular featuring high-class performers.
Brilliant time at the summer spectacular. All the acts are so talented, it's just wonderful to watch. We went for ringside seats and my daughter is still buzzing from being included in one bit of banter. If you're thinking about going, do it! Really good value.
Mareli G — Google review
Excellent show. Best Circus I've seen. Brilliant talented performers. Highly recommend. Children 2-8yrs engrossed throughout. A reason to return to Great Yarmouth.
Emma B — Google review
Despite visiting the area multiple times a year, we have never been to the Hippodrome until 31st Oct. It was absolutely amazing! Such a beautiful building and you can see the love and care this family pour into it. It is like stepping back in time and it is one of the best experiences you can book in the area. The performers are SO good, total professionals. Something for everyone and it is very very rare quality old school entertainment with a modern twist start to finish. Exceptional. Prices are not overly high, theres a cafe and it really is worth an afternoon/evening visit. Rather than chuck your money in the arcades, support this unique experience. I cant recommend it highly enough, it a must do.
J — Google review
What an experience!! Outstanding circus acts, very varied.....and the motorcycles in the 'death cage' sequence was BONKERS!! Great value, suitable for the whole family. I didn't expect the amazing quality!
Colin R — Google review
So fortunate to have this beautiful place right on my doorstep! Photos are from Summer Spectacular and Spooktaular, I love how they have decorated with the globe string lights around the circus! Very reasonable prices (£20 from top ring seats which works out £10 per interval) Love the hippodrome pool! (Yet to visit a Christmas event, as Johnny Mac returns to Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 to visit his family) Love that it’s a family run business and the Jay family have done a fantastic job over these years (1981) The hippodrome was built in 1903 and is definitely a bucket list if visiting Great Yarmouth/ England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Look forward to returning!
Xena-Marie H — Google review
A must visit if you are in Great Yarmouth. 1 show, 2 halves of 5o minutes with an intermission in-between. Acts are refreshed every 6 months with multiple acts from around the world! A great show for all ages.

Definitely recomend. Wasn't expecting too much, but was nicely surprised. Good show with a bit adult humor . We went back in couple weeks. Amazing !

The Hippodrome Summer show is a highlight for my family every year we are back in Norfolk visiting family. The dancers are always amazing and everyone before, during and after the show so friendly. My boys absolutely love Johnny Mac and Jack and the acts are always so talented and awe inspiring but this year really brilliant. The stage hands, band and everyone involved are also just awesome. We enjoyed every minute! Thank you all x

Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach is a vibrant amusement park located on the Golden Mile by the beach. It covers a vast nine-acre area and offers an array of attractions suitable for all ages. From thrilling roller coasters to traditional rides, there's something for everyone. The park also features Pleasure Beach Gardens catering to younger children, as well as amusement arcades and various dining options.
My new favourite Amusement Park not in Staffordshire or Lancashire! No ride queues and I went on a Saturday in summer! Granted i was with the group which got an extra 2 hours, but still...
Ripsaw P — Google review
Came today. we paid for a card on entry. Easy to use, and you can top up/check balance in lots of places in the park. Most rides are for young kids, nothing too extreme. The wooden roller coaster and monorail were good. Staff seemed friendly, especially the lady at the entrance. Excellent customer service 👍
Tony H — Google review
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Had an amazing day at Great Yarmouth Beach – perfect for a fun family outing! The soft sand and lovely sea made it such a relaxing experience. It wasn’t too busy, which was a nice surprise, and the atmosphere was great. We enjoyed some fresh fish and chips by the sea – absolutely delicious and full of flavour! The only downside was the number of seagulls (they really love the chips!), but it didn’t spoil the day. All in all, a fantastic spot for some seaside fun. Highly recommended!
Khaleda — Google review
We visited here on a Wednesday evening, for the late opening hours, in late July and arrived at half five, meaning we could take advantage of the late evening wristband pricing (£17 for 5 until 9:30). There are also fun cards at £5 or £10 which offer 5 or 10 ride credits and can be topped up inside the park. However suspect the latter are a false economy if you have more than 2 or 3 rides - especially in the evening, as most main rides are 4 or 5 credits. There was a fair size of queue to the ticket booth but it moved quickly and probably only took 5 to 10 minutes to get to the entrance. There is a good range of flat rides and four coasters, with all costers being aimed at family-friendly. The wooden roller coaster is the oldest in the UK and has a brake man riding on the train. While not the smoothest or comfiest ride, it is good to ride a bit of history. The remaining three are Family Star, a short spinning wild mouse and two small kiddy coasters. The flat rides are good variety, with spinning and drops and also a gyro swing. What struck us was that the park was relatively quiet for school holiday season and queues were short. The ride throughput would be increased further if the very slow wristband scanning was not performed - not really sure why this is needed as takes a got 10 seconds to read each one, based on our experience. Food offerings are OK - there is a large hot food stall that does hotdogs (not so good), burgers (better) and loaded fries (decent) amongst other offerings. All in all, worth a visit even in peak summer as really never felt busy and plenty of ride opportunities.
Ian A — Google review
Went as a family. You can get 5 credits to get in and use on one ride if going with a group of kids. The food hall and bar are great. The rides make it more like a smaller fair rather than a pleasure beach like Blackpool but still great.
Gary A — Google review
A Fantastic Day Out at Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach! We had an amazing time at Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach! There’s a perfect mix of classic rides, family-friendly attractions, and thrill-seeking roller coasters. The historic wooden roller coaster is an absolute must-try – a true blast from the past! The park was clean, well-organised, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout the day. Entry with the wristband is great value for money, especially if you’re planning to go on lots of rides. It’s also right by the beach, so we could enjoy the rides and then relax with some fish and chips on the seafront. Plenty of food options, clean toilets, and seating areas made it comfortable for families. Whether you’re visiting with kids, friends, or as a couple, it’s a great spot for some good old-fashioned fun. Highly recommend – we’ll definitely be back next summer!
A J — Google review
I couldn't really find anything to fault here yesterday with three bored kids. Despite it being a Peak Season Sunday all the queues were very short, just a couple of minutes. A little longer for the big coaster but even that was less than ten minutes. Every ride looked to be well staffed, no litter in sight. The guy manning the Dodgems literally couldn't have been more helpful and friendly, he gave the impression he genuinely wanted to be there. Over the course of the day my lads went on about thirty(!) rides each, so they got superb value from their 'all rides' wristbands. The only thing I could ask was for some concessions for Blue Light card holders, other than that, an easy five stars!

So its the end of summer, the rain is biblical, but Great Yarmouth still saved a little magic for us. Rainbows over the beach. Oh, and a cheeky ice cream. The great British summer delivers.

Joyland is a long-standing family-owned amusement park located in the vibrant seaside town of Great Yarmouth, Norfolk. Established in 1949, this free-entry attraction offers an array of thrilling rides for children, including the famous Tyrolean Tub Twist and Snails ride. The park features a Toy Town Mountain with attractions like the Spook Express Kiddie Coaster and Neptunes Kingdom Undersea Fantasy Ride. Visitors can also enjoy a traditional American diner for refreshments.
Small theme park for young children. The rides are very well kept considering their age. It's like stepping back in time but in a good way. I have childhood memories of going on the same rides that my daughter has now had a ride on including the snails.
Kev L — Google review
Been coming here for 40 years, still love it. Snails are still a highlight. It's so small and tightly packed that it's a bit claustrophobic though. Very hard with a wheelchair to get around without bashing into everyone else. That being said, still amazing for the kids.
Steven W — Google review
Really liked Joyland, its not huge but just right for the older kids that can get on by themselves. I do like the token system and like how they give you stickers with your number on it to access your pictures at the end. The time we went wasn't soo busy so was pleasant. Little cramped but otherwise really good, would go again!
Ateeqah S — Google review
Brilliant we all had such fun on the 18 hole pirate crazy golf. It also has facts about pirates on the way round
Stu M — Google review
We visited on a quiet day and most rides were open. We wanted to see the famous Snails Ride for which Joyland is known for and we was not disappointed. There it was stood in glamour, opened in 1949 and still there to it's day. Joyland is a young children's Amusements park with rides just for them. You pay via tokens and entrance is free. You can find a video of our visit on our youtube channel.
New T — Google review
Amazing and completely unique family run amusement Park. Suitable for every single age group without exception! No visit to Gt Yarmouth is complete with a ride on the snails. Lots of fun and incredibly nostalgic.
Corine S — Google review
we visited last week, i DID NOT feel the joy guys, We rode the snails, very excited for this, The man operating it was extremely rude. I asked if there was a specific place my daughter should sit & his response was, I don’t know i just work here…snatched the tokens and looked away. Leaving me to scramble into the snail and just figure it out. The vibe was completely off & we left. If you are going to call yourself joyful at least make sure your staff are joyful & care about safety.

Great day out. I have been coming here 30 years since I was a child I am now taking my children and to my delight it’s exactly the same as it was back then it’s so amazing to see such a Gem unchanged as the times move so fast. Only thing different was the price as to be expected. 10/10

From donkey rides to bouncy castles, there are plenty of activities to enjoy along the Golden Mile.
First time at Great Yarmouth and we loved it! We stay not to far from the beach and main attractions. We got most things covered in the 2 days we were there. Really clean, lots of places to eat from, lots of attractions for the kids. Will definitely be coming again
Ateeqah S — Google review
Large, clean and welcoming beach. Very well looked after and nice and sandy too. Dogs are permitted, but not in all areas which is understandable. Long coastline and has lots of walks available too
Brian — Google review
Lovely clean promenade. Nice walk with a sea view next to a wide sandy beach. Loads of amenities, food and souvenir shops. Not the cheapest though especially kids rides and activities usually £6 to £8 per child and for 15 mins only. Britannia Pier entry free. The arcade is huge and plenty to do. Overall it's a well maintained area, recommended.
Yazz M — Google review
Not been to Yarmouth since I was a kid in single figures... but I remember a sunny packed beach and deckchairs... hundreds of em, shows my age, nobody on it now, plenty of room for bouncy castles though... whatever happened to the deckchair hire? Times change! Beach a mixture of sand pebbles and odd bits of rubbish, sign of the times i suppose. Seafront pretty busy though, plenty of arcades to dispose of your hard earned cash by the kids, not a great deal else to do bar drag em round the shops moaning....
Christopher M — Google review
Model village and attached cafe were nice enough, beach is fairly featureless and very uninviting walking past a very tall fence surrounding the pleasure park which was closed. Getting there was a chore with lots of traffic and going through the maze of ratty one way streets. Felt like a waste of a day's holiday and won't be going back.
Hamish C — Google review
Great promenade with food, souvenir shops and amusements. Beach a bit pebbly but fine at the top end in the dunes.

The National Trust - Elizabethan House Museum is a captivating heritage site located in the heart of the Heritage Quarter. Concealed behind a Georgian facade, this 16th-century merchant's house offers a glimpse into Tudor times with its collection of 1500s furniture and art. Visitors can also enjoy a dress-up room featuring period costumes and armor. The house holds historical significance as it was frequented by Oliver Cromwell and served as a meeting place for Parliamentarians during the Civil War.
If you can forgive the self indulgent photos, I love the period costumes which you get an opportunity to see and try on. Go room to room visiting what life may have been like for the wealthy that lived, lay, dined, plotted maybe... View the articles and written information, climb the haunted staircase... OK so it wasn't haunted as such but felt like it could be, should be. Lots to see so allow yourself some time to take it in. I love history so was there around 40 minutes. There is on street parking nearby or at car parks. Do check for opening times.. and there are concessions. Visited on heritage days so was free however still great value

A National Trust property, situated close to the waterfront. This particular property has passed through a number of hands, and over the years, it has been quite substantially modified and restructured. It is not one of the grand mansions so often preserved by the National Trust, just the typical residence of a wealthy local merchant. Because of its size, there are only a few staff available, and they mostly work in the shop on the ground floor. There is a short video running on a loop in the first downstairs room, and this offers a good introduction to the property and its various owners. It's worth highlighting that some of the information is factual, but some is based upon local belief with limited documentary evidence. As you go around the property, you get a good sense of how it might have looked during the various stages of occupation. Of particular note is the wood panelling in the different rooms. There are various things added in, such as different initials and numerous carvings. In one room, there is a particularly splendid ceiling of moulded plaster. As others have noted, there was some replica clothing available to try on: even adults occasionally like to play "dress up"! On the upper floors, there were some interesting and informative displays, including a room set-up as a 17th-century birthing room and rather more randomly, a slightly more modern children's play room. An eclectic mix! Amongst the displays in the lower rooms were a number of domestic utilities from the various periods, including tools, utensils, crockery, etc. By the back door into the garden is a very interesting item that most seem to miss; a hand operated pump that would be used to draw water up into the sink. All in all, it is a fascinating look into the past. You should note that there is no parking on site, but there is a pay and display car park a short walk of about 100 metres, a few roads behind the house.

Lovely bit of history lies with in Great Yarmouth hidden along river yare. Perfect For hour or two activity. It can be perceived As stepping back in time. Educational too.

Intriguing restoration/recreation of an Elizabethan town house in Great Yarmouth that's also historically important, as important people who visited the house plotted the execution of Charles I. right here, in the so-called "Conspiracy Room". Which is also the most fascinating room in the house and includes a number of interesting artefacts. It's not clear whether Oliver Cromwell ever visited the house himself, but that hardly matters - it's steeped in history as it is. The museum is run by "National Trust", and the entrance price of UKP 6.50 (adult ticket) is totally justified. The volunteer at the information desk was very friendly and helpful. You'll get a glimpse into everyday early 17th to 19th century upper middle class life, too. There's a kitchen, a study room, a bedroom, and more - but it's the "Conspiracy Room" that seals the deal. Plenty of info boards around to make you understand the exhibits better. One of the few historic sights in this town, definitely worth a visit (won't take you more than an hour). You can also relax for a bit in the small back garden.

Good museum in great Yarmouth a building with quite a lot of history over the years, I know it's known as the elizebethen house but most of the stuff inside was from the victoriana era, but still a beautifull house to say the least, few areas needed some repairs but overall was a good visit. Plenty to see but doesn't take that long to get around and if you have a national trust membership it's free.

At the end of the pier, visitors can enjoy fairground rides operated on a token system, as well as bars and amusement arcades.
Lovely pier, free to enter. Lots on offer covering everything with food, entertainment and activities. Nice and clean and well kept. All staff encountered were extremely friendly and helpful. Proper British pier

Not a bad place, kiddies rides expensive and staff were sparce, but had a decent couple hours, staff were friendly and apologised for us waiting, but wasn't their fault. Worth a visit.

This amusement arcade is huge and has a lot of new machine and old machines there is a downstairs in this arcade and a food place to get food and drinks at the entrance, there is a small ride area at the back of the pier which has a small kids roller coast and dodgems if you love your coin pushers and grab machines this is a good arcade to visit if you are in Great Yarmouth

Really nice Pier with plenty to do. Has a theatre with great shows, funfair at the end of the Pier. Fun pub that is open seasonal. I didn't get to go in here but looked good. There is also a very large Amusement arcade. All staff in there seemed friendly. The view from the Pier was very nice, being able to overlook the sea in one direction and all of the hotels and attractions in another. There is a video from our visit on our youtube channel.

Absolutely beautiful and plenty to do and keep the kids entertained! Just a short walk away from the town where there are ample shops to fulfill any rock requirements. Lots of nice (and reasonably priced) places to eat. Parking close by which was very reasonably priced too (North drive car park £10 for the whole day) Was perfect for a short getaway for me and my family. Highly recommended.

This vibrant venue hosts exhilarating greyhound races three times a week—Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 7:30 PM—alongside an array of motor racing events including banger and hot rod races.
Really nice stadium to watch motor racing. Great family atmosphere, everyone so friendly and welcoming. Catering facilities top notch for a venue like this, the loaded fries were incredible, burgers tasty. Easy to access, loads of parking. Great day/evening out, even our 9 month old loved the racing.

Always love a bit of banger racing when we are in great Yarmouth. Reasonable price for a family ticket. Lots of parking. Entertaining night out for all the family Friendly , helpful staff. Definitely worth a visit

Wicked fun evening watching the bangers, not much parking but an abundance of space in the area. Toilets weren’t bad to be fair and the price of food and drink was better than I expected! Lots of action, definitely wasn’t boring!
Zach C — Google review
What can I say that the Yarmouth Stadium is definitely worth a visit if you are in Great Yarmouth well worth the price as it around 3 hours of racing bangers, I would say take a chair and food and drinks as cash as the vans around the track only take cash as they all get very busy for food and drinks
Bristolian O — Google review
Went to the Halloween banger racing meeting - what a night out!! Parking next to main building, few quid, good amenties once inside, £50 for family ticket. Loads of places to watch action from. Staff nice. Track walk fun, drivers were absolutely lovely. Kids especially enjoyed the caravan derby, watching them get smashed to pieces!! Definitely worth doing if in the area. Downsides - very expensive low quality hot drinks, snacks pricey (removed a star for this) but you can take your own in to avoid very high cost. Very cold (it is outdoors obviously) so extra layers, thick coats a must. All in all, a brilliant experience and loads of fun
J — Google review
Great night banger racing, only negatives are food vendors outside are cash only and it’s a long walk for toilets if you are watching on the kennels side of the track.

Fantastic evening out. From the minute we arrived we were treated kindly due to having disabled children, they let us in for reduced prices even though they dont do confessions. The manager was lovely and went out of her way to help. Banger racing is great and we go whenever we can. Parking available and even closer to the venue if you have a blue badge. You are charged £2 per car to enter the carpark. Its well managed with Marshalls too.

A superb evening of stock car and Banger racing at a great venue. Parking easy and only £2. If you decide not to sit in the grandstand there is great banked viewing around the stadium with great views. Food etc reasonably priced compared to other stadiums I have been to. A 700ft wooden pier in Great Yarmouth offers a range of attractions, including an amusement arcade, bowling alley and casino hall. There is plenty of family fun to be had with all sorts of ride, slot machines and pushers available. Bowling can also be enjoyed on site.
After visiting all arcades on Yarmouth seafront - Wellington Pier stands out as the most modern and up to date. The machines were of this century and hosted many that I am not familiar with at all. I play a lot of the arcade shooters where I can - with my 9 year old son also - and we came across one we have not played before at this location. Escape the undead 4d. It was full of jump scares that got both our hearts racing and we lasted for about 10 min before being mauled by zombies. My daughter got a teddy stuck in the claw machines and the staff were easy to find and came to assist immediately. Some of the machines also had been upgraded to not give the annoyance of multiple fold up tickets but tallied them for you on a printed receipt - simple thing really but this is the first arcade I’ve seen to make use of this technology across multiple games throughout their establishment. The ticket office was well stocked and had loads of prizes - naturally the ratio to actual cost of prize to tickets is horridly disproportionate but my children both got some sweets and had 30 min worth of fun.

This review is more on about the arcade aspect of the pier. [Places I haven't been in is the public toilets there which I can't comment on] So on to the review- Variety- this arcade out all I have visited in great yarmouth. Is probably the best due to the sheer Variety in the actual arcade as they have everything from penny pushers to claw machines to a lot of interactive games. Cost- I think the cost for each of the interaction games price is pretty good and fair. Prizes- for prize rewards for an arcade is pretty decent and no complaints there either. Staff- very friendly Animals- dogs are welcome Why not 5 stars- The only thing I don't fully recommend is the bowling located in the arcade near the back by the vending machine. The price is fair to play and the ticket are alright. However, there's always an issues with the bowling every single time I have went. Such as the machine not registered bowling balls and having to repeat serval times or the tickets not dispensing at all. But overall its good place

Average place 2p coin machine is fun but the prizes are awful and a con
Gee G — Google review
Highlight is the old fashioned bowling alley at the end. My 5 year old loved it and much cheaper than the actual bowling alley further on. Good prize selection too for tickets.
Kate L — Google review
Good fun especially in the rain. Range of prizes might not be as large as other arcades but still OK. There is bowling for £2 per person in the arcades or real bowling on the beach side. Pool is £1 per game on the beach. Toilets are clean on both sides. It's quite far from town centre is only negative.

Visited with family/young grandchildren during the Easter school holidays 2025, having been coming here for many, many years since a youngster living in the city with my parents. It's our local seaside resort after all. Arrived after 8 pm and enjoyed some family bowling. While in the amusement arcade after, the security guard came around asking people to leave/make it their last go, as shortly closing. It was 10 pm & the closing time on the doors was 11 pm. Grandkids hadn't been out long, as they had a sleep-in hotel room before going out a bit late. I questioned politely this with the security guard, & was taken aback when the goateed bearded guard derided me for daring to question his authority. He claimed they were doing maintenance & didn't care much for what it said regarding closing times on the doors. He called the supervisor over, as requested & she explained that they were emptying the machines of cash & that we didn't need to leave yet. The guard stood there listening & I questioned the two contradictions for closing the arcade early, mentioning the security guard's aggressive attitude. No apology or reasoning given & left earlier than expected, back to our hotel room. Two/three generations of loyalty lost, through your disgraceful actions, Wellington pier! Never to return!

Review for Wall Climbing . We brought our 11 year and 5 year old granddaughters here , they both had a great time , both hesitant at first to go very high but were soon getting to the top once their confidence grew . The 2 instructors were great and on hand if you needed them 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Absolutely love this place.. joined the Gym 3 weeks ago. All the staff are very friendly and make you feel so welcome. The membership is really good value for all the extras you get. My boys love the Swimming pool also the Clip n Climb. Being a local it's so nice to have so much for us so close. ❤️
Kelly A — Google review
I agree with reviews re: the cleanliness of the center. It's a great space and great for kids, the splash pad is fun and my son loved it. However, there was no slide attendant, and the pool and changing rooms were really unclean. Rusted hand rails, murky Windows, mold, dirty floors, multiple blocked toilets. Also it's not clear from the uniforms who is a lifeguard. With improvements I think this place will be wonderful but right now I'm worried it's going to go to disrepair very quickly because it's not being looked after properly.
Lauren — Google review
It's not a bad pool, and the splash zone is fun, but It amazes me every time I go here during the school holidays, that they shut off the pools for a huge chunk of the day for lessons! One pool, fair enough, but both!? You pay to go in the splash zone area, you get an hour and a half (roughly) and then they say you can use the other pools for as long as you like...... But then they shut them both off so you can't. They also let anyone in the training pool. Surely it should be reserved for weak swimmers and small children? Atleast it still has it's fun elements and flumes unlike most pools in Norfolk and Suffolk!
Nina S — Google review
Showers are way too hot for kids. When I complained to reception the attitude was 'tough, it is what it is' Also there is no consistency with pool rules . Went on the flumes and every time was allowed on with 2 at a time but then one lifeguard very rudely told us off for doing it, even tho all the others said it was okay. Same Inconsistency with the big pool and jumping in. Most of the lifeguards allowed it, including from adults then when they switched 2 of them threatened to kick the jumpers out saying they should know better. Please please keep the rules consistent. It's either you can or you can't.
James C — Google review
I don't think I've ever left a bad review before but after visiting today I feel like I had to. The facilities on offer here are actually fantastic but whats shocking is the condition they have let it slip to in such a short space of time since reopening. We were the first booking of the day but changing room floors were already filthy, there was poo on the benches in one of the family rooms. There is thick powdery mould all round filthy windows and up the wall in the kids splash zone. There is black mould over the tiles in the showers, this mould wipes of easily with a finger so it's not like it would be hard to clean but just goes to show how irregularly the place is getting wiped down. The large slides are unsupervised and the top floor is absolutely filthy and stained. There is also a camera over the top of one of the cubicles which my wife didn't notice until after undressing! Also there are signs asking you to remove your shoes before entering the changing rooms but there were two members of staff walking through in dirty trainers as we left. 26 million pounds mostly from tax payers to rebuild this place and provide something for the local people but clearly not enough money left over to hire cleaners or a competent management team to oversee the place. I complained to a junior manager who said they need to do better and he would pass it on but that's an unacceptable response given the nature of the business where basic hygiene should always be top of the agenda.
Chris S — Google review
Dog friendly cafe. Parking included. You have to go into center and register on a terminal. Swimming pool splash zone is a little small
Douglas S — Google review
We attended the SEND Aqua Play session today for the first time. We found the staff helpful and my daughters had a fabulous time. However, the in the first toilet cubicle I went in, the sanitary bin was full to overflowing, with a dirty nappy on the top and rubbish on the floor. Not great, and really not acceptable. Surely bins should be emptied at the end or start of every day?

When we read some reviews it did make us laugh or thought perhaps there was some sarcasm (I’m sure someone said squint and u could be in the Maldives). However I did see their point. What an amazing deep beach with soft sand and vigorous sea. Not to choppy not to calm. Loads of space on the beach. I could t see it ever getting packed or to busy. Parking might be an issue perhaps in high season but it would be worth the struggle. Loads of places to eat and drink. Public toilets, arcades, ice creams etc. we will be going back as the beach alone is well worth the visit.
Ashley W — Google review
Really lovely beach. We visited with 2 little kids and had an amazing time! Easy (free) parking on the street running alongside the coastline, easy walk down to the beach. Miles of sand, a lot of it dry and comfy to sit on, then some sections of pebbles, and as the sea goes out, more lovely sand. The beach was clean, though we did find a few bits of litter to pick up on our way out. We were there on a hot sunny day in late July, and it wasn't overly busy, loads of space to spread out and play. We arrived at 10am, and parked easily, though I suspect we'd have been a street or so further back if arriving around midday or later. No dogs on the beach (it may be that they're allowed outside of summer though?), so its safe for kids to play without fear of stepping in anything, or being knocked down by racing dogs. There's a lifeguard station, watching an area for swimming between flags, a splash pad (opens at 10am, kids loved it!), and a large pond for model boats. Adjacent to the beach, there are public toilets (near the Pier Hotel), and while a little smelly, they were fine for beachside public toilets. Outside these there are also 2 taps for rinsing feet etc. Overlooking the beach there is an arcade, an ice cream parlour (absolutely amazing!!) and a chip shop/cafe (chips were good). We also visited 2 days prior when it was raining, and had lunch in the storm house cafe (food sensibly priced and decent, nothing fancy but an easy place to stop in). The rain stopped, and we wandered the beach, toddler throwing stones at the waves, and playing in the drier sand. We had the beach to ourselves as far as we could see! I really don't think I can praise it enough, we had a great time and will be back! It's much more sedate than somewhere like Yarmouth, so if you're looking to avoid huge crowds and masses of people packed onto the beach, it's a superb place to go.

Superb beach and surroundings. Loads of stuff to do, from walking, sun bathing or even staying with your little one at the splash zone. Great choice of restaurants and bars to enjoy throughout the area. Loads of parking available at the pier parking. The beach is very sandy, however when getting closer to the water-line it gets a bit rocky and has loads of pebbles and stones. If you are a bit more sensitive when walking on rocky/pebbles, definitely recommend getting some water shoes. Water is quite wavy but at the same time it is lovely. It is a bit cold, even when outside there's 26 degrees for 2 straight days.

Great beach, miles of sand to walk and play on. Always busy. Walk on the prom plenty of benches to sit on and places to eat and drink. Worth a visit.
Paula B — Google review
Wonderful place to sunbathe, enjoy a refreshing swim as the water doesn't retreat as much compared to other beaches. Really great spot since it's close to many restaurants, pubs, shops, parking, etc. The water is very clean, a bit cold even when temps are above 25 degrees on full sunny days. The overall beach is amazing, it's very sandy, however it is very rocky and has a lot of small stones/ pebbles closer to the water.

Gorleston-on-Sea is a really beautiful place. The beach is wide, clean, and never feels too crowded. The views are stunning, especially on a sunny day, and the promenade is perfect for walking or sitting with an ice cream. There are lovely cafés and fish and chip shops nearby, and parking is easy. The atmosphere is calm and friendly — perfect for families, couples, or anyone who wants a peaceful seaside day. One of the nicest spots on the Norfolk coast — always worth the visit.
Amciui C — Google review
I heard that this beach is quite quiet compared to the other beaches in Great Yarmouth so we decided to give it a try as we wanted to take our young toddlers to the beach for the first time. Really lovely beach and has a few shops and cafes spotted around, however we were there quite early on a Monday so not sure if more open later on / over the weekend. We also managed to find the Banksy art piece which was a nice surprise! Always wanted to see a Banksy art piece up close! Also there is another art piece that is dedicated to the film ‘Yesterday’ which I saw a few years back and had no idea that the end scene was shot here which was pretty cool to see being a film geek. There’s loads of car park choices and we choose the Pier parking which is £3 for 2 hours and can be sorted using the internet / QR code, so if you’re out and about and want more time you can just extend the time if needs be. Overall great beach if you’re looking for somewhere ‘less hectic’ seaside wise.

We are staying in a hotel opposite the Wellington Bowl so thought we would go over and have a drink. We walked through the arcade to get to it. They serve nachos & cheese at the drinks bar. Always friendly and helpful when I telephone, great selection of shows throughout the year, lovely building and plenty of parking nearby. Staff friendly and a marvellous coffee and tea buffet serving crisps and biscuits. Comfortable seats and clean toilets. They sell Lakenham Creamery ice cream which is made locally and excellent. Pavilion Players out on wonderful shows, thoroughly enjoyed Funny Money last night, thought I had lost my phone last night and a member of staff helped me look for it and kindly called it so it could be found, so very grateful for the assistance. Several shows already booked for the year and looking forward to returning soon.

Just seen the Summertime Special with Olly Day and cast. WOW where else can you get such a great show with only a cast of 8. They were fantastic, fabulous singing, dancing and aerial work. Comedy and magic, mime and music. Ice cream at interval was delicious 😋 we will be back for more

The theatre while being a lovely old fashioned venue and the show we went to see was of a good quality, I can only state in fairness that the staff appear to be running a priority service for relatives of staff members. We encountered a very rude and obnoxious woman who appeared to be under the impression that as one of her relatives was a manager there she could behave in a very rude manner to other paying guests when a mix up in seating occured she became very aggressive towards me, demanding I show her my ticket, which I refused to do and snatched the table arrangement card out of my hand, when she then proceeded to go and get said management he refused to make the woman apologise for her behaviour and treated my husband and I as if we had been the agressors. We will not be visiting this venue again.

The Venetian Waterways, constructed between 1926 and 1928 as part of a relief initiative for those affected by World War I, stand as a testament to the town council's commitment to community welfare and creativity. This unique leisure attraction in Great Yarmouth offers visitors an eclectic mix of experiences, from riding a historic wooden rollercoaster to enjoying the UK's only surviving Victorian circus.
I love this sort of a park. Those twists water ways and the sundial. A lot of seating space too. It goes a lot north, like it's big. At the top is some boating and a bit even more top! is a pond with ducks and decorative cows. It just got well renovated in the past few years. It's free to enter and enjoy it's beauty.

Best local garden, so peaceful and beautiful, especially when plants start blooming, also birds everywhere, lots of bins available and benches to sit down. Well maintained, few cafes to get a snack.

Really lovely place for walks, especially if you love walking by water. Beautiful scenery as you stroll through the gardens of the waterways, nice fresh air, and some duckies.

For me, this is the best part of Great Yarmouth! It's a beautiful, peaceful place with a great cafe halfway along. It's a great place to chill out. Dogs are allowed all year round and there is plenty of seating.

It was a nice wander, some nice plants, there is a small hut where you can get some bits to eat, but it is limited. The ducks enjoyed being fed 😋

Well, it's worth a visit. We happened to stumble across this. It was free to walk around. Beautiful and well looked after. There are so many stunning plants, grass cut, and clean water. Paths were clean and bins available as you walked along. Wheelchair friendly as smooth paths. Parking all around but expensive £5.40 for four hours.

The Tolhouse, located in Great Yarmouth, is a historic 1800s prison with a rich and varied past. Dating back to around 1150, this intricately designed building was originally constructed by a wealthy merchant and has served as a tax collection point for herring catches, a jail, courthouse, and police station. Notably, it was the site of trials by the infamous 'witchfinder general' Matthew Hopkins.
I'm so glad I got the opportunity to visit here. So much hidden history opened up for people to see and visit. From the costumes to the cell visits this really is a must visit for history fans. Locked up for vagrancy, locked up for stealing food, orders from the king to pass judgment on people. Local caister lady goes in to help people read and right. Sadly I wish I took more photos, yet still do go see for yourselves.

Positive experience. Friendly knowledgeable staff. 3 floors but quite small provides good insight into crime and punishment of the past. Interactive items, including games and dress up. Cells very eerie too! Worth a visit on a rainy day, certainly entertained us and kept us busy.

Definitely worth it lots of little activities for kids as you walk around. The Mannequin in the cells made me jump 😂

This is only a small museum, but they are friendly and eagerly welcomed us and are so good with children. There were colouring and brass rubbing activities, a lovely pirate ship toy and figures to play with. Do take your time to talk and read about what you see although we did the best bits in a few minutes. It has lots of stairs and the gaol in the basement is a bit dark and atmospheric. Makes you think how awful to be locked up there.

Gutted that I found out about this place on the last night! Wondered why the band kept talking about “how sad it is” and eventually realised they were closing. Absolutely awesome place, great atmosphere, good beer on tap. And what a building. If this place decides to reopen the we will be there.
Chris P — Google review
Arrived mid evening on a Tuesday when there was live music. Decent atmosphere and plenty of seating. As per the first image, I find it outrageous that you have to pay extra for things such as cheese, onion rings and even chips/fries. Surely these come as standard with a burger? This being said, the food is really, really good! Don't expect bog standard frozen nuggets when ordering the kids' nuggets & fries.
Andy H — Google review
First time here. The food was great and the atmosphere is something else. You can't tell from outside, but it's filled with wall art, a tree, and really dark, but your eyes soon adjust. Will be back
Steven R — Google review
It's a tricky one, this: in short, the atmosphere and decor is great, the food and drinks decent, but the service shocking. So, with that in mind it gets a begrudging 4 stars. Free kids meals are great (for every adult meal, you get a free kids meal) but the 'streetfood' menu (burgers, pizza and jackets) is limited. Portions are of a good size, though. And prices decent. Not a huge selection of drinks, but some 'craft' beers (think Camden Hells rather than independent breweries) on tap. It was, generally, a struggle to get served and at one point service was almost refused because they didn't have any clean wine glasses. That particular night we had wine in five different vessels, ranging from water glasses to gin goblets... Bar service and floor service was generally poor, and perhaps getting rid of some glass collectors and leafleteers outside (somewhat brusquely throwing people in) to pay for more serving staff would help. There is often live music, which is great, and families generally welcome relatively late (but you will be told to leave sooner or later). Toilets are clean-ish and there is an outside space with some tables where you can watch the world of Great Yarmouth pass by in all its glory. The playlist inside (when the bands aren't on) was far better than the (seasonal) DJ outside. The building is worth a visit in itself. An old cinema, beautifully repurposed, but keeping some old features (the ticket booths on the way in are great). Decor is a bit of a mismatch of neon, music merch/memorabilia and American diner. Clientele goes from families in the daytime and early evening to quite a young, drunken crowd as the night progresses. As they say: this must be the place.
JP — Google review
Fantastic visit! Even on a busy bank holiday weekend, the staff were amazing & the food was delicious and affordable. A special mention for the lovely Tasha who not only looked after us but also helped our 10 year old daughter feel very grown up on her own table with her friends. Will absolutely visit again when I’m in Great Yarmouth next.

Great Yarmouth Row Houses offer a fascinating glimpse into the past, showcasing early 17th-century merchant homes nestled near the historic quayside. As you wander through this unique area, you'll discover remnants of Great Yarmouth's original Rows—narrow alleyways that connect the town's main streets. Although many of these charming houses were lost during World War II, the surviving Row Houses stand as a testament to their rich history.

Parkdean Resorts Vauxhall Holiday Park in Great Yarmouth is a vibrant destination offering a wide range of accommodations, from camping and touring pitches to glamping mega pods, holiday homes, lodges, and chalets. The park has been providing family holidays for over 50 years and offers a lively atmosphere with a water park and live entertainment. It's also dog-friendly, making it perfect for families looking for a fun-filled break.
Overall this park is excellent for kids. My sister and I took a 2 & 10 year old, both really enjoyed their stay. Swimming pool is really good but be prepared as it is a large pool there is also a lot of people but that is expected. The play area is excellent and so is the entertainment. Caravan was clean and comfy beds, had everything we needed to make breakfast and lunch. Food on site is standard, no complaints, the restaurant is OK, nothing to shout about but our meal was pleasant. I would say staff on site are excellent, we didn't have any problems. Our weekend break was too short, we didn't want to leave. Can't wait to return.

Good location on the outskirts of Great Yarmouth, although it’s on a main road you don’t notice once in the park. It’s only 5 minute drive to the beach, town and many attractions in Great Yarmouth. The kids enjoyed being on the park, the entertainment, and the play park was a huge hit. The food in the main restaurant is no more than average, but a bit overpriced. The pizza takeaway was quite good. We didn’t get to try the other food places because they were closed during the day.

Giving this holiday a 2 star which is only for the quality of the facilities here. We paid £1300 for 1 week in what can only be considered as a Sun holiday rental at £100 per week. The van was clean but very old and tatty, for example the sofa was small and thread bear. TV so high on the wall it hurt your neck to look at it for a long period of time. We where quite excited because when you see the photos the van looks amazing but as you can see from below it's all very different to what you actually get. Plenty for the kids to do, great play park and arcade, never got to the pool as it's was fully booked a good 3 weeks before we arrived. You can do walk ins and the leave a healthy 55 places for this but recommended arriving 15 mins early to get a place. However when you have a kid with special needs getting them ready for the pool with the potential disappointment of not getting in wasn't worth the fuss. The arcade is very well stocked with some cracking games. Restaurants on site are pricey but what we did have was nice. Small shop (Nisa) on site. Short distance to beach, sadly the weather was not good enough for us to go there much. The amount of illegal class C drugs being smoked on site was a concern but maybe that's a problem with society as a whole other that this sites problem. Still there was a lot of butt ends around and the rather distinctive smell of cannabis being smoked all over the site, especially is the outside eating areas.

We arrived 19/6/25 around 9pm. Security worker was lovely. We were directed to our caravan . On inspection there were a few cleaning and maintenance issues but overall smelt clean and very spacious! Next morning I requested a re clean and maintenance and within 30 minutes we had two lovely ladies at our caravan looking around and taking pictures of maintenance issues. When we returned to the caravan a few hours later they had fixed all our issues and I even got a courtesy call after to ask if all was okay. I expressed my gratitude. This did not ruin our little holiday, we enjoyed the pools twice, entertainment , variety of food, arcades, play areas and the local beach and pier! I would definitely return and for longer. The whole variety of staff are so welcoming and friendly . Thanks Vauxhall Holiday park for a fabulous time!!
Heather D — Google review
Great site for families, everything you need is there, very central. Entertainment staff was really good but the timings of the shows and places were confusing. The hospitality staff could be a bit more attentive. Our caravan was just as we expected, however a good hoover or mop needed. The pool is big and appreciated that they took walk ins, but it felt a bit crowded few times. Overall one of the best site we stayed.
Alexandra M — Google review
If I could give no stars I would. Our holiday was completely ruined by the cleanliness of the caravan. To say it was filthy is an understatement! We complained as soon as we see it all only to be told the site is full and no other caravans available. If I hadn't had my 2 children with me and paid £700 I would of left there and then. I felt dirty all week even after showering every day. Since being home I have had to wash everything as the smell of dirt has gone on to all our belongings. The site itself is very run down and the food is awful. We wasn't the only one with problems as the 2 caravans near us also had major problems. I would never return here agian. The staff was just rude and said its near end of season so what do you expect? Is August not peak season so things should be done to keep on top of the cleanliness. If they offered a free holiday to go back I would politely decline.
Leanne H — Google review
Had a great few days away here, not much going on during day for adults, but that's ok, evening entertainment was good, with some great vocalists. Drinks prices varied depending on the time, but I guess they have to make their money. Staff were good & helpful. There was a dead bird, all guts out, outside our accommodation that no one seemed to want to clean up, just hope they did before the next quests arrived. Overall we enjoyed our stay thank you.
S. P — Google review
It is lovely here rooms are quite small to put two single beds in them and I didn’t like there was no draining board on the drainer while washing up, and there was no oven gloves while cooking and I suggest bring some extra tea towels I had to use a tea towel when I was cooking. All in all it was a nice stay. The staff were really lovely and helpful of making sure we were entertained, and the kids were having lots of fun even making friends as there is plenty to do while you are staying there and provide a bus service timetable if you want to head towards the beach and other entertainment place while in Great Yarmouth. WiFi was a challenge to connect but we got there in the end plus there is a help line if you need it there is of course registration on somethings if you bring your tablet or laptop there to steam your favourite shows somethings can’t be allowed. It is a family holiday park after all.

If you're on the lookout for an exciting indoor activity in Great Yarmouth, especially with a dinosaur enthusiast in tow, Jurassic Journey is the perfect destination. This attraction takes you on a thrilling adventure back to the age of dinosaurs, featuring fascinating exhibits that include fossils and over ten lifelike animatronic dinosaurs. It's an ideal spot for families seeking fun regardless of the weather.
They only open on weekends at the moment from 10-5 pm. The Dinosaurs are amazing. Quiet few there with good features to enjoy. You doing a quiz as well which is fun with kids or as family and to see what you know about them through the journey. It's not too long but a good 45 min I would say you can go through the place. There is a nice gift shop, food and drinks station which is the end of the journey exit. There are for kids to play a playground area and disco place. It's good fun once in a while. It's more for kids to enjoy this. I went with residents from care home it's a good activity for them as well if you planning some activity to Gr Yarmouth for them. I recommend this place to everyone.
Magyar J — Google review
This seems to have been revitalised in the last couple of years. From being pretty much closed down, it now seems to be back up and running. The entry fee is lower than before, but no longer includes the soft play session at the end. My son thoroughly enjoyed the visit though, so we're happy
Andy W — Google review
This attraction was good. It didn't take too long to get around, don't allow anymore than 1 hour. All indoors, so good for a raining day! Kids enjoyed the last bit searching for fossils. Fair price to enter and no extra costs as there's no gift shop 😁
Charlotte N — Google review
We came here and it was raining and were pleasantly surprised. We read that it was wheelchair friendly but actually as soon as you enter theres a lip that it just a bit too high to bump a wheel chair up. Then also in the fossil digging bit so it wasn't 100% wheelchair friendly. We were disappointed at the lack of gift shop ( there was a sign for the gift shop at the end but upon entering the shelfs were bare) we did however really enjoy the digging for fossils bit. We found shark teeth and crinoid stems etc. Even better that you get to keep some of them ( there were 7 people in out party and you get 3 each)
Abi H — Google review
Didn’t open until well past opening time. Dinosaurs were good, if not short lived. Not maintained very well, steering wheel has screws coming out of it. The sand digging was decent but no fossils in top part from what we could tell. No gift shop (as suggested) and no soft play (as advertised). You pay extra for soft play in pub next door.
Philip K — Google review
Very small attraction. Dinosaur animotronics could do with some oiling to stop the squeaking. Probably spent 30 mins in total there. T-Rex was the best. If you're child doesn't like loud noises or dark spaces don't go.
Kate L — Google review
Very poor experience and not well maintained - no lock on toilet door and exposed nails on a broken car steering wheel for children sit in. Daughter did enjoy looking at the Dino walk through but over very quickly. No fossils left to find in the digging area and the soft play is not including as misleadingly indicated in window. The window sign also advertised a colouring room which there wasn’t one. Also signed for a gift shop at exit, however there is no gift shop, it’s a pub. Unfortunately felt a waste a money.
Courtney W — Google review
Good, dry, day out. There's not much to do in bad weather but this is perfect. Lots of dinosaurs to see, a nice trail to complete and the kids loved excavating the dinosaur in three big sand area and hunting for their own fossils to take home. Gift shop is reasonably priced and you get 10% off at the restaurant next door and free use of their large soft play area which really made a day of our trip

The Norfolk Nelson Museum is a unique destination dedicated to recounting the story of Lord Horatio Nelson, a celebrated military figure in the United Kingdom. The museum offers insights into his upbringing in Norfolk, his famous battles, tragic demise, and complex personal life. Visitors can explore exhibits showcasing Nelson's captivating personality and the scandal surrounding him. Additionally, the museum is part of a historic area along the River Yare that features other attractions such as medieval gaols and maritime heritage sites.
Been to Great Yarmouth many times but unfortunately I hadn't heard of this place until last week when I visited with my daughter and grandchildren. With 3 generations visiting at one time we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would highly recommend it. My grandaughter ESME loved dressing up but not too much as Nelson though. I also would like to mention the staff that were working there that particular day (30/10/18) were excellent and very professional and great with my grandchildren which made our visit extra special.

Nestled on the picturesque South Quay, the Lydia Eva stands as a testament to maritime history and the herring industry that once thrived in Great Yarmouth during the 1930s. This beautifully restored steam drifter is one of the last of its kind, offering visitors a glimpse into a time when fishing fleets were so vast that one could traverse the river by hopping from boat to boat.
Wonderful visit with the family, a real living museum. The volunteers are so friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable and helpful. Lots to look at and loads to learn, would highly recommend a visit!
Michael B — Google review
Anything run by passionate volunteers is a must see and this boat is another example of that. Free entry but well worth a donation to the cause when you hear the passion from the volunteers and their ambitions. Some areas are a bit tight. But it’s a boat. So you expect that. People with poor mobility will struggle to view the full boat however the volunteers on deck will easily keep you occupied with the boats story.
Craig S — Google review
This is free but was so good I gave a good donation (they take cards!). We were given a fantastic tour and great care was taken to help us round the boat, amazing history and atmosphere, I dare you not to come away with such respect for the fisherman and the boys who were the crew 100 years ago. We were here for 45 minutes and left really pleased wed been aboard. Go while she's still here on South Quay and/or there's such wonderful volunteers to show you around.

A free but intriguing sight that won't take much of your time: The Lydia Eva, a 1930 steam drifter (a drifter is a smaller version of a trawler), and the last of its kind - that is towed in the Yare in Great Yarmouth, and that you can visit free of charge. Competent and welcoming volunteers will tell you the story of the ship and its kind and show you around the boat, incl. the below deck areas. Alas, an injury prevented me from climbing down into the body of the ship, so I limited myself to listening to part of the story and walking around on deck. Still, a marvelous minor sight in town. And you will find the recommended Elizabethan House Museum on just the opposite side of the quay.
Thomas ( — Google review
Fascinating part of local fishing industry history. While this is free, donations are much needed. The story behind the vessel and the engine are worth a look.
B W — Google review
Fascinating ship that is unique in preservation. Trips to sea are occasional and can be cancelled due to weather or unreliable pilots but are worth the significant cost, it is a rare privilege to sail on a steamship with so much freedom to join with the crew and learn about the operation of a steam fishing ship from a bygone era. If you can't go to sea visit the ship most days at Great Yarmouth free of charge and donate what you can afford.

Historical landmark
Nestled within the charming town, the Greyfriars Cloisters stand as a testament to history and architectural beauty. This remarkable site is part of a network known as The Rows, which consists of winding alleyways lined with period houses that have been meticulously preserved by English Heritage. Visitors can wander through these ancient structures, immersing themselves in the rich tapestry of the past while enjoying the stunning surroundings that make this location truly special.
Ancient building 👷‍♂️ 😄
Lee S — Google review
Hidden away in one of the "Rows," the only thing to guide you here is a small tourist information direction sign. The site appears to have been part of a large structure that has fallen into complete disrepair. English Heritage has taken it on, and the site is closed off to the public, although you can see parts through the fencing, and there are a few notice boards giving some brief explanation of the intended conservation work. I suspect that it will prove to be too difficult to do any major restoration; hopefully, though, they will be able to save at least some of the structure.
Anthony S — Google review
Undergoing restoration, it's an unattended building site waiting for funding. It's rare, old and part of Gt Yarmouths heritage sadly in decline.

St. Georges Theatre, located at the edge of central St. Georges Park in Great Yarmouth, is a grade listed building designed by Sir Christopher Wren in 1714 to resemble the church of St Clement Danes. The building's impressive Baroque Church architecture has recently undergone extensive refurbishment, revealing exposed roof beams that showcase the town's boat-building craftsmanship. As one of the top attractions in Great Yarmouth, visitors can catch a variety of shows at St.
Lovely theatre and staff. Fully enjoyed both experiences of visiting on Tuesday and Thursday 😀

We saw Forbidden Nights here. Nice little venue, intimate. Shame there's only a few cubicles in the ladies toilets we spent most of the night queuing for the ladies than in our seats especially at the interval. One of the security staff thought it was acceptable to make derogatory and sexists comments to a friend of mine which was uncalled for we still had a lovely evening.
Alex T — Google review
I don't live in the area of Great Yarmouth, and I only came here for a horror movie convention. But I think it's a lovely little venue and a good place to hold events like this. I would upload the videos I took on the day, but they are long.

A review of the cafe outside the theatre. Nice spot for a cup of tea and sit down. Unfortunately our sausage rolls were only just cooked and we had to send them back.

Lovely little theater it's just a shame that the area around it is intimidating when coming out at night. The Police need to do something about this especially when women are coming out late at night

Went here to watch a tribute band (Wrong Jovi ), we had travelled from Colchester Essex, we enjoy our night & the band were on top form. The down side was how expensive the drinks were. The toilets were exceptionally clean, the staff were really nice & showed you to your seat, all in all it was well organised night out.

Haven Seashore Holiday Park is a fantastic destination for families looking for a fun and convenient holiday. The park offers various dining options, including a mini market, fish and chip shop, Papa Johns pizza takeaway, Berties ice-cream parlor, and The Garden House serving delicious meals. In the evenings, guests can enjoy entertainment and drinks at the Marina bar. Direct access to a beautiful sandy beach allows for easy enjoyment of the coast.
We just got back yesterday and we had the best holiday. The site and our caravan were clean, all staff were friendly. My daughter was very scared doing one activity and Chris was really good with her, he made her feel comfortable and made her laugh in the end she loved and didn't want to come off. Also Chris is a very good teacher, I'm now good at shoot and archery. His very good with the children and just makes it fun. The entertainment was good and fun for all ages. The food was nice and quick.our caravan was next to the walk to the beach, when we was on the beach we had the chance to see a seal which made my daughters day. All activities are worth the money and the pool was fun again for all ages, the only we wished is that we had more then 14 slots. We loved so much we booked to go there again next year. I highly recommend coming here.

We have just returned from a weekend at Seashore & Wow, what an amazing time! We were in Seaview caravan 22 and it was amazing, clean, modern and a beautiful view! The location of this park is amazing, just a little stroll over to a beautiful beach or you can get the land train from outside the park that takes you into Great Yarmouth which was lovely as well. Our little boy did archery on the Sunday and Sian who ran it was absolutely amazing, so encouraging for him and really patient, please pass on how much Logan loved doing it and especially with her :) Swimming pool is amazing, slides and a splash park, this is perfect for children & it never felt too busy either which is great. All the staff we met were polite and friendly and seemed to really love working there which makes a nice change to a lot of places! We will definitely be back The Henderson’s

Just returned from a long weekend at Seashores and we've had a fabulous time. Right from entry, the staff who greeted us were so friendly. Our caravan was lovely and clean with the added bonus of a dishwasher which we didnt end up using. We made use of the swimming pool which our 2 year old absolutely loved, he loved the slides. The entertainment was great. We had a takeaway one night and ate in coast another night which was nice. Beach is easy to get to and is lovely and clean. All staff acknowledged us when walking around. A real lovely experience. Not sure we will return to Norfolk again purely because we like to try different parts of the country but id definitely recommend Seashores

Myself and my young family have been coming to this Haven for around 6-7 years, we always have an amazing time and the children love it, the entertainment is brilliant, caravans are lovely and the swimming pool & activities are always engaging and enjoyable. This last holiday hasn’t been the same though, although the caravan is nice, the oven is pretty much unusable, you can’t read the dials and it gets so hot you can’t open either doors. There is only 1 tray to cook with and no oven gloves. To the parks credit after we took this up with them, they sent over 2 more oven trays, but seemed pretty dismissive when we mentioned about the oven getting so hot. Our children didn’t burn themselves on it, but someone else’s will. I had to use bath towels to operate the oven. This isn’t on. During the evening entertainment this evening, my little girl stood in some human poo in the main marina bar!! We are 99% sure which child did this and who the parents are, but after we cleaned my poor little girl up in the toilets the parents and child had gone, we saw them laughing at the table after we could smell the poo but didn’t put 2 and 2 together until after we clean my daughter up. Her shoes have been put in the bin and she has no shoes for the rest of the holiday. We spoke to security and let them know what happened, but the poo was up all the chairs, on the vending machine and all in the carpet. It’s absolutely disgusting!!! We will come back after this trip? I’m not sure we will What a shame.

Fantastic stay – exceeded expectations! We had a brilliant stay at Haven and honestly couldn’t fault the experience. We booked a Bronze caravan and couldn’t have asked for more. It was spotless on arrival, well equipped, and had everything we needed. Shower pressure was great, having two toilets was a bonus, and Ganet 127 was in a perfect location right by the swimming pool. Check-in was effortless – we drove straight in and our number plate was recognised from the app, so we didn’t even need to get out of the car. Check-out was just as easy, with a simple key drop from the car on the way out. The site itself was extremely clean and well maintained, with facilities for anything you might have forgotten. Noise levels were minimal – we barely heard anything, though I can imagine it’s livelier in summer. Parking was convenient with one space right outside each caravan, and the electric vehicle chargers near the entrance were a great touch. The only downside was the temperamental heating. The instructions didn’t match the thermostat, and even when switched off, the heating tended to stay on. As it was cold outside, it wasn’t a huge issue, but the caravan did get too warm at times. We ate at several of the on-site restaurants and they were all lovely and reasonably priced. We also loved the little Choo Choo Train into town – £2 per person, every 20 minutes – and walked back in around 40 minutes. Overall, incredible value for money. It honestly makes me second-guess going to Centre Parcs in future. We would absolutely stay again!

I had a truly awful stay at Seashore Haven. When I gone to bed at midnight, I discovered that the bed was covered in urine — completely unacceptable for any accommodation. It was late, and I had no choice but to stay, resulting in a traumatic and sleepless night. When I contacted the staff about the issue, the customer service was unhelpful. They failed to offer any kind of refund or even a sincere apology. I’ve never experienced such poor service and disregard for guests’ wellbeing.i left at 10am the next day so 3 days early. I received an email after I made a formal complaint, which states the urine was found but it was not wet- well yeah it wasn’t me! And if I’d notified them before 8pm it would have been changed! I checked in at 6.45 and didn’t go to bed until midnight! Do not stay here — it’s unhygienic, unprofessional, and they clearly don’t care about their customers. I left at 10am the next morning and ruined the kids holiday!

I visited the park having been to many caravan holiday parks in the UK. I can honestly say this was one of the cleanest, most well kept parks I have had the pleasure of visiting. The staff were all very friendly and helpful from the entertainments team to the sales teams. Personally I would be more than happy to book a holiday at this park knowing the service I received on visiting just for the one day.

This is like our home away from home. We love coming to Haven Seashore, we try and come here every year and we always have a wonderful experience. Lots to do for kids of all ages, evening entertainment for adults, arcade, free softplay area, restaurants and food on the site but also Asda is a short drive away also. Swimming pool is great and the caravan park is right next to the beach. The site is also along the sea front so a little short drive down the road and you're at Yarmouths Pleasure Beach, crazy golf and more arcades and activities for the kids.

Miniature golf course
Alton Water Mini Golf, which opened in late 2019, features a nine-hole course themed around the nearby reservoir and water park. It provides an enjoyable way for players to learn about the history of Ipswich's primary water supply. After a round of mini-golf, visitors can relax by watching sailing boats from the shore or explore the surrounding park. Families find it to be an excellent and affordable option for outdoor fun, with opportunities for barbecues as well.
Excellent 9 hole mini golf. It's themed based on the water park and reservoir. Excellent fun, we spent a great hour playing here. June 2020 and it was only £10 for a family ticket, which is a total bargain!

The 1432 Caister Castle, featuring a 90-foot tower with panoramic views, houses a museum exhibiting vintage motor vehicles. The collection boasts an impressive array of cars and motorcycles, some of which are in pristine condition and quite rare. Knowledgeable and friendly staff assist visitors throughout the grounds. Although entry to the castle is currently restricted due to Covid-19 regulations, complimentary tea and coffee are available as a substitute.
Well worth the money, we had a very interesting day, first the castle, we walked the ruins and climbed the tower. I wouldn't recommend the tower to anyone with mobility issues as it has very high, uneven steps. The history of Caister Castle is very interesting and it's well worth purchasing the book at the entrance We stopped in the tea rooms and had tea and cake which was reasonably priced. We entered the car and motorbike collection and were totally amazed, there are so many different cars and motorbikes, old prams, bicycles, kids toys, sewing machines, hat pins, ornaments and so much more. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly, they were able to tell us so much about the collection and the Hill families desire to preserve the cars for many years to come Parking is plentiful and free, there is wheelchair access for all except the tower. Don't be put off by the price it's worth every penny

missed opening hours but probably for the better as it is not really a castle, the tower only standing, there's also an exhibition of old cars at rather steep a ticket price. I would say go if you are a car enthusiast. Nice walk though, from Great Yarmouth along Bure river, and back by the beach.
ThePolishTraveller — Google review
A great surprise, very tidy organised and very good quality exhibits, well laid out, assessabilty very good. The castle although not a great big site, what is left is very interesting, and if you are fit enough the climb up to the top of the tower is great to do, need to be able and reasonably fit and not afraid of heights. The car museum is well worth it if interested in motor vechiles and memorabilia, again easy access and all on one level. The cafe is small but as they say perfectly fit for purpose and has great produce, plus prices are really good. Worth a visit go make your own mind up

Lovely place, wish there was some more information about the castle around the site. Nice little cafe, and the car collection was really good, so many different vehicles, bikes, prams and so much more. A good little quiz to keep kids entertained and engaged which helped! Staff were really friendly and helpful.

Caister Castle is a stunning historic site. The tall medieval tower and atmospheric ruins take you straight back in time. Richardson's Hemsby Beach Holiday Park is a family-friendly destination located just 350 yards from the beautiful beach of Hemsby. The park offers a variety of accommodations including luxury lodges with hot tubs, refurbished apartments, chalets, and cabins. Guests can enjoy the state-of-the-art Show Bar, indoor heated swimming pool, and play area.
We have just returned from a week away at Richardson's Hemsby Beach Holiday Park and I have to say it was extremely pleasant. As a family we have stayed in a number of holiday parks around the coasts of the UK and at various price ranges. This one is in what i would put as affordable, but this does not in any way take away from the site. The welcome was personal, informative and friendly which after a long journey was welcomed. The team are fab and always on hand to help, even out of hours when there is security and maintenance teams on call. The site has everything you would need with a pool, entertainments centre, food hall, bar, outside activities and cycle hire for all members of the family. Just off site but attached to there is a local store, take aways and arcades with the arcades being the only real let down for us as they were more focused on gambling, tokens and claw machines which let my son and myself down who like a arcade game. The accommodation we were in was a very short walk from the beautiful Hemsby beach with us waking to the sounds of the waves and allowed us to walk down to the beach to enjoy a cuppa and watch the sun come up. The accommodations vary in style, cost, size and age so there is something for everyone. We are looking at returning to stay in the villa later in the year as it is perfect for families with disabled members. I would very much recommend this site for your stay and if you have fur babies then its ideal.

Booked a chalet for a week which we wasn’t expecting anything glamorous, we just wanted a cheap and cheerful week away. The chalet itself was immaculate when we got there but please for the love of god please do something about the mattresses. They are quite possibly the worst things I’ve ever had the displeasure of sleeping on and another member of our party using the apartments have had the same problem. Always known I’ve never had the greatest back but sleeping on these make the issue 1000x worse. The facilities and the staff were more than helpful when we arrived and while using the entertainment hall and the entertainment for kids was really good. If it wasn’t for the mattresses it would of been a fantastic week

Fantastic place to stay and on the doorstep of the beach! So much room there and dogs welcome too! We stayed in a lovely caravan with a hot tub sunk into the deck. Everything was clean, tidy and ready to go when we arrived. Just remember your towels, as none are provided. There’s only a single plug in the bedrooms, so take an extension lead if more than a few people staying. The arcades are wonderful nearby and plenty places to eat and drink! We’ll definitely be going back!

My daughter booked this holiday and invited by husband and I to accompany them, the caravan slept 8 and we were booked into a Gold 3 caravan (pets). We didn’t bring the dog so requested to see if we could change to a different caravan. No was the response. Fair enough. This Gold 3 caravan was absolutely disgusting. The smell on entering was diabolical, we had to buy furniture freshener to hide the smell. The furniture was so badly stained as was the floor. There was no way we could allow ourselves or the children to have nothing on our feet. The toilet seat should have been changed years ago it was absolutely a disgrace and had to be cleaned before allowing the children to use it. The bedding was clean and supplied for the 3 bedrooms, unfortunately for the 7/8 bed there was only sheets provided. There was plenty of crockery although one glass did have a crack in it which we placed out of reach of the children. As for cutlery, loads of knives, 7 forks and 5 dessert spoons. Luckily the weather was brilliant so we spent our time on the beach thank goodness.

Booked a silver caravan, not pet friendly but was covered in dog hair. Was not clean at all. Requested extra bedding and when taking it out the wardrobe it had a big yellow stain. This was replaced. The water was unbelievably hot was like kettle water. This was dangerous reported to reception who contacted maintenance straight away. Lots to do and was lovely to have own parking space. I would not be keen to return to be honest it was not for me and my family and I was mainly put off by the state of the caravan I was not expecting it to be out of this world but was expecting it to be clean in which it was not.

Hi! Really awesome place to stay! The location to Hemsby seafront is perfect & aforementioned seafront beautiful, a fantastic mix of greenery & beach! As for the accommodation it's sweet as! My only gripe is the mattresses not comfortable & if you are driving there bring blankets or mattress toppers to ease that! Apart from that brilliant place!

It would have been 5 star if there were a few alterations. ++you could visit without a car and not get bored ++ RICHARDSONs are clearly interested in investing in their site and Hemsby. Their staff seem happy and willing to help. I'm excited to revisit in a few years. The caravan. The first caravan we were given (gold plus pet) smelt of stale smoke. I spoke with reception immediately and they moved up to gold plus pet with hottub. We were exceptionally lucky they had a spare. I've no idea what we would have done otherwise. Now.... We chose gold plus with pet for our August stay. It was very basic and if it was called silver or bronze then it would have lived up to the name. Gold makes you think luxury. Unfortunately the carpets and upholstery need replacing or refurbishment due to stains. The caravan itself was clean upon arrival. It wouldn't take a lot to make these vans gold. Maybe a bit of colour, new carpet and some vases and pictures around to make it more homely. All in all our van was okay but didn't live up to the name The hottubs are brilliant and are worth the money. The site. Amazingly clean and well maintained. I've only seen one doggy poop on the whole site and there are a lot of dogs here. Grass cut and land maintained. The beach is within walking distance and dog friendly. With ice cream van and lifeguards on duty. Fish and chips as well as entertainment. The pool is a little older but it is clean. (they could improve this by enforcing no shoes in the changing rooms) we attended a pool party which was brilliant. Lots of inflatables, not overcrowded at all. Family fun music and lots of smiling lifeguards splashing us all. Special shout to Jordan who seen my son struggling a little and just as he was about to splash him, he stopped and watched him to the shallow end..... He even took a song request. Activities and entertainment The activities were very relaxed. My son took part in Airboardz. He was not a natural but very much enjoyed it. Again Jordan was brilliant and when my son fell off hitting his head on the ground (helmet and safety gear was worn) he checked on him and encouraged him back onboard. My son completed the games and the whole event was very relaxed. The entertainment was very good on site. Fireworks on the beach every Tues 10pm. Gt Yarmouth itself was exceptionally clean and the council are investing lots of money throughout. Lots of buses and car trains to hop on. You could comfortably arrive without a car and not need to get a taxi.

Well what can I say . Absolutely shocking. First arrived at our gold+ caravan. But Don't expect it to be of a gold standard. It's less than bog standard. Very old and run down . Caister-On-Sea Beach offers a mix of positive and negative aspects. On the downside, parking is cash-only without the option to pay by card, and the toilets were closed during a visit. However, the beach itself is described as wonderful and quiet, especially during off-peak hours. It's popular with local dog walkers and provides fantastic views of Scroby Sands wind farm.

A quiet beach popular with local dog walkers with fantastic views of Scroby Sands wind farm. Best visited early in the morning at sunrise with the sun illuminating the wind farm and the sea. The beach as a mix of foliage, sand, and shingles. It's fairly clear of any little but does have some dilapidated wave breakers that have sharp rusted metal to be cautious of.

Lovely beach, lots sand dunes to negotiate. Very stoney at the waters edge. Not sure of water quality but lots people in the water. Dogs are allowed on the beach, saw no sign of dog poo so people must be picking it up and taking away.

Lovely quiet and dog friendly beach, its quite stoney and on a slant in places so not the easiest to walk on. The water is quite deep close to the shore so my dog enjoys a swim but isn't miles out. Only downside here is the palm oil warnings around which is quite scary for taking dogs there!

I can tell you straight from the horses mouth that this is a great place to come for an afternoon/ evening out. Should you bet for the favourite, or go for an outsider? That is the equestrian. I had a few wins but my luck didn't last furlong. Stop foaling around now. Plenty of free parking, lots of betting stands in front of the grandstand, loads of space to take your own picnic and sit on the grass. Beer a bit pricey at +£5 a pint but lots of fun and well worth the visit.

The arcade features various games suitable for different age groups, including 2p machines and ride-on toys. For adult visitors, there are fruit machines available as well as bingo sessions.
Kids loved this arcade, lots of variety and lots of opportunities to win tickets as well as winning small bits and bobs in the 2p machines. The prize area had plenty of choice as well as smaller sweet prizes for limited ticket wins!

Oasis is a good place for the family, different types of arcades for different ages. Lots of 2p machines and some ride on toys as well as fruit machines for the adults. They have bingo too but couldn't say what it was like as that isn't my jam. They have toilets and a cash machine that charges £1.25 for taking money out. Lots of very similar arcades at Hemsby this one stands out by having bingo.

Went to the Oasis Amusements today with work colleagues because we needed cool refreshments as tge weather was scorching. Staff were incredibly friendly, warm and welcoming. Thickshakes were delicious, donuts were lush (could have had more), and because I am greedy I had a burger which was delicious. I spotted some chillies and I was graciously treated to some in my burger. Thank you for your kindness and making our day with a little laughter. Definitely coming again.

Lost World Adventure Golf is a fantastic 9-hole mini golf course that offers a unique theme featuring dinosaurs and crocodiles. It provides excellent value for money at only £3.50 per person, allowing players to choose their own colored golf balls. The layout of the course is well-designed, ensuring a great deal of fun for all visitors. Many people have enjoyed their time here, returning multiple times in just over a week to have a laugh with their loved ones.
Lovely little course, plenty to keep everyone interested but not too long that you get bored. No filler holes either, each one is interesting and fun. Course is well kept and tidy. Amazing that so much is packed into a smaller area. Reasonably priced for the size.

I love this place. Lots of different things added this time around, which makes it even more fun to play. The staff are always polite and friendly and they have trophies for sale too for your family tournament winner.

We had an absolute blast at this small mini golf course! It's cheap, lots of fun holes, my loving boy of dinosaurs adored it and loved the valcano! The man was so polite and welcoming
Jodie P — Google review
Lovely small mini golf! Took the children and they absolutely loved it. Quality time well spent with the family. It has all different holes based around a dinosaur theme, a lake running through the middle and fun facts placed around as well. Doesn’t take too long, but enough time to enjoy it, and definitely worth the small price paid! If you go there three times you can also get a free game with the reward card :) The staff were also lovely and very friendly which was a nice touch to the course! Overall would recommend for something to do, very fun and a great time spent!

Crazy golf at its best!! A well planned out, fun and engaging course. It's got dinosaurs, water features and a few surprises along the way. Great for kids and grown ups.
Amanda F — Google review
A great experience, good value for money. Under 3's are free and still get their own little plastic club and ball. My 2, 3 and 7 year old all loved it. Dinosaur theme is really well done. It's a visually pleasing course with various obstacles and challenges. We went at Halloween time and there were pumpkins hidden along the way, if the kids count the pumpkins they get a prize bag at the end. We will definitely go back. Had a great time and it's really reasonably priced at £3 a head!

Lovely miniature Golf course, not rushed (except for when people are queuing) better value for money than the on-site Haven golf activities and would recommend as also amusements further up the walkway. Would recommend to people who are visiting for the week @ haven or nearby campsites for a day excursion, really good.

Nelson's Monument, located on the Yarmouth seafront, is a remarkable tribute to Horatio Nelson, one of Norfolk's most celebrated figures. Although not as towering as its famous counterpart in Trafalgar Square, this impressive column still commands attention and admiration. Constructed two decades prior to the London monument, it stands as a testament to Nelson’s legacy. Visitors can easily spot Nelson's Monument from afar during their stroll along the beach.
Very old monument with history, it’s surrounded by scruffy industrial estate. It’s very tall and see it from quite a distance. I think the council should do something to highlight its importance and renovate and make this more attractive with tree and flowers.
Majid K — Google review
It's a nice statue to look at but the council need to clean the signs cant read all of the information on it and why cant you go In and look around the bottom bit as there are benches there probably to save the bottom from people climbing on it its bit out of the way near factory's area

Known locally as the Nelson Monument. I visited as part of Heritage Open Week. The views from the very small viewing platform are stunning.
James T — Google review
Nelson's monument is an impressive structure. A large stone column with Britannia and her Trident stood on the top. There is a very intricate base with lots of very informative plaques on the surrounding wall.
Andrew N — Google review
This is a fabulous public monument which is clearly visible from some distance away. The structure emerges from a small, green square (with seating). All surrounding roads offer plentiful, free parking. Signage on site gives the history.
Stuart H — Google review
I decided to make the 30 minutes walk from the beach area to Nelsons monument. You can spot it from a fair distance away. I just wish it wasn't surrounded by an industrial estate and the local council had an order where there would be green spaces all around it so visitors can enjoy this spectacular monument to one of Norfolks greatest sons. A lovely touch was 1 Of the information boards was in Braille which gives those of limited sight a chance to read about the Latin inscription of Nelson. There are benches in the ground but the gates were closed today so no access available, however well worth a visit if you in the area.

Hirsty's Family Fun Park is a popular outdoor amusement park known for its Mega Maize Maze, open from July 17 to September 5. The park offers a wide range of activities such as zip wires, hay bale mountain, crazy welly croquet, bouncy castles, trampolines, and a wooden combine harvester play park. Visitors can also enjoy family-sized go-carts, barrel train rides, mini wooden fort maze exploration, climbing frames and more.
Great for a day out. We spend an afternoon here. There are lots for kids to play on from air cushions to climbing frame. Could spend the day "just let the kids play and relax in the large field". Staff friendly and great setup. Also have a round of "wellie golf was fun to"
James T — Google review
Lovely day out for family but at a cost, expensive tickets but amazing day out, despite the cost plenty to do for a family with slides, outside trampolines and crazy golf amongst some other activities and most importantly tractor rides! The staff were very accommodating and friendly and the tractor drivers were always so friendly and encouraging little ones to have a photo in the tractor if you ask them I’m sure they’ll happily oblige. Lots to see and wildlife after having a short tractor ride to the main farm yard where you can see sheep and other livestock. Lovely day out shame we couldn’t stay the entire duration as had a lengthy travel home but really recommend 👍🏻
Jason H — Google review
Had the best day at Hirstys Fun Farm with my niece (2.5) and nephew (1.5)! The tractor ride, jumping pillows, maize maze, arts & crafts, and seeing the farm animals were all big highlights. The café is great, tasty food, local ice creams, and we even took home some chocolate oatey. You can pretty much sit anywhere and still see your children from a distance, making it safe while allowing them some independence. We arrived at 10am and stayed until 4:30pm, you can easily spend a whole day here. It’s very well priced, especially compared to other attractions in Norfolk, and the staff are super friendly. A must-visit!

Wasn't expecting too much, however the boys aged 7 & 9 loved it. Ended up staying for nearly 5 hours. There are clean toilets on site. Food, drinks & ice cream available. Lots and lots of picnic benches. Felt the price was good for the amount of time we spent there and how much the kids enjoyed it.
Robert R — Google review
Lovely place to visit and quite a bit to do for children. It is aimed at children under 12 years of age. We went with a 12 and 16 year old so unfortunately was there for about 2.5 hours ( they did the big maze and hunt trail) however if u have younger children then u could easily stay there the whole time they r open. All the staff were lovely. If more could be added for older children that would be amazing

What a hidden gem. Been coming to Great Yarmouth for years but didnt know about this place til now. A really lovely family friendly (and dog friendly) day out. Our little ones loved it. Not overpriced and just a nice way to spend a few hours and let the kids run free and have fun 😀

We really enjoyed the Easter holidays visit here it was such good fun the farm is lovely and being able to get close and touch the cows and lambs and bunny's is great the kids loved the a activities on a d finding all the sheep's, The only thing that was a little upsetting to the kids was during the eater egg Hun there was alot of selfish children that was taking 10/20 eggs and not leaving any to anyone else I think if the egg scavenger hunt is ok again next year I'd like it to be limited to 2 eggs per child to give every child a opportunity to find a egg without others ruining it for them specially the smaller kids as they aren't as fast. We had food at tubbys and the food was delicious and very reasonable for me and both my kids I paid £20 for food 2 burgers ( one with extras) and one hotdog with a side of cheesy chips. Highly recommend HIRSTYS also had crafts on and the kids loved this also
Robyn Y — Google review
This visit to Hirsty's Family Fun Park was an absolute blast, especially with the MegaMaze finally open! After our last visit at Easter when it wasn't ready, we were so excited to tackle it, and it did not disappoint. The whole family had a fantastic time getting lost, finding clues, and laughing our way through the twists and turns. Beyond the maze, the farm was alive with fun; the go-karts, bouncy pillows, and sandpits kept the kids entertained for hours. It was a perfect day out, full of genuine family fun and happy memories, and we're already looking forward to our next adventure there.

MB's Amusements is a fantastic arcade in Hemsby that has recently made a comeback after an 11-year absence. The owners are very friendly and helpful, creating a brilliant atmosphere for visitors. One of the highlights of this arcade is its impressive range of prizes, making it the best place in Hemsby for winning rewards. In addition to the downstairs arcade, there is also an excellent play area upstairs with beautiful views overlooking the dunes and sea.
Upstairs play area is excellent. Free entry, you just pay for drinks and any food. Nice views across the dunes to the sea. My children also loved the trampolines which are downstairs, the best in the area.

Visit this arcade/pub frequently when holidaying in Hemsby. With all the arcades in hemsby, I find this arcade to be the best BY FAR. Prizes are much easier to win. Ticket prizes are fairly priced and to be honest it’s quite easy to earn tickets They even have a selection of gift cards you can redeem with tickets which I have redeemed a few times After some fun, you can pop in the pub Nextdoor and finish with a pint and a game of pool Overall a excellent experience

Googled where to go on a wet day with a young child and up pops this soft play area showing as open untill 11pm, got there and it's closed? Update your opening hours, just wasted 3 adults time, cost of parking and 1 sad child's expectations.

Staff are lovely and welcoming. Ordered some food for a late lunch which was plenty to keep me full for the rest of the day, just a basket meal with chicken stripes. Went in to the amusement side and there are still 1p and 2p machines working. I find this good to know as there are always some coppers hanging around somewhere in the house

My first time in a casino. There were 4 of us and we did an hour of black Jack and then an hour of roulette. Good fun and from starting with £20 per person, one couple ended up £27 down, the other couple were £30 up. A reasonable cost for an evenings entertainment. Drinks were a reasonable price and the food menu look good value as well. The staff were really helpful and friendly. It made a nice change for an evening out.

Barry G — Google review
Me, my partner and friends all had a really positive experience at this casino when staying in Gt Yarmouth . The staff are excellent and make the sign up process stress free. The beer is kept well and at fair prices. The building is a rather fancy historical thing that royalty and other higher ups have stayed at. And you can tell it has had money spent on the upkeep. Particular praise must be given to the main floor manager. Phenomenal levels of assistance and a true gentleman that makes everyone feel at ease. We enjoyed using the roulette machines, of which there are afew, equipped with comfortable leather seats and drinks holders. Small portable tables are available if your glass doesn't fit. One of us had a go on a live roulette table and won £40 first go, and we mostly broke even or walked away with small loss/small win on the machines. Someone from Grosvenor HQ really needs to see what a lovely casino this is. The Grosvenor in Leeds and many others could learn alot from this place.

The Caister Roman Fort is a historical site consisting of ruins from a Roman fort built in 200CE, including sections of walls and building foundations. Although the site mainly comprises flat grassland, it offers information boards that demonstrate what the facilities would have looked like. The museum Tide and Time in Great Yarmouth displays the artifacts found during excavation. Visitors can park at a large lay-by at the entrance and bring along their dogs on leashes.
It’s fascinating that such old piece of history still remains open and available to the public to visit freely. Tucked away surrounded by an housing estate is this amazing Roman fort, although not much left standing it’s incredible to think what once did. I was astonished to see it hadn’t been vandalised like most of the other locations in Great Yarmouth area. We came here as part of a historic walk map of Caister learning more about the local history. Although we didn’t, there is free parking.
Xena-Marie H — Google review

PH P — Google review
Great little place if you are passing by and have 10-15 minutes to spare. Good lay-by right outside so parking straightforward. Free entry, and it's a quite small site but the information boards give a good impression of what the roman camp would have looked like. Still some impressively thick walls remaining.
Roy S — Google review

Only need about 15-30 minutes to visit here, information boards are very interesting, Fort ruins are easy to see and touch Locals seem to use this as a dog walking area, you do need to watch where your walking

We initially drove straight past the site. There is very little signage so don't miss the pull in. We parked in the lay-by and walked around the ruins and read the information plaques. We stayed for about 20 minutes and felt that we had fully seen everything there was to see. Interesting place. I'm glad we visited.

****PLEASE READ****Went yesterday with my family, one of the arcade workers thought he was a bouncer and tried to manhandle my nephew just because he was sat down waiting for us on the arcades, and the bouncer kept looking at him in an uncomfortable way. When I asked if there were cameras there to proof what he did he said no, then said all the workers in there "liked boys!" He then mocked us all by saying call the police then, and came right up in my face threatening me! I have also noticed lone men in there before siding up to children, and now I know why. We wont be returning there, and would definitely advise it's not a safe environment for children, as the bouncer was actually proud of bragging what sort of grooming place it really is for children. Please beware, a place to avoid to keep children safe from predators.

I took my little boy here yesterday and it's crazy how much of con the machines are compared my childhood, the grabbing machines are literally set to not even grab anything and the 2p machines swallow most of the coins that fall down the side. Every arcade down there is just a scam Its meant for kids but whats the point of taking them if they can't even win anything. very disappointed I won't ever go again I'll just buy the boy anything want from now on

A real hidden gem of a golf course. Right on the cliff top. Lovely staff and very welcoming. Don’t go home without playing first !
James K — Google review
Hidden gem! Played here on 7th July in a four ball visiting from Hertfordshire, and had a superb links experience. Course was immaculate, particularly the greens. The short par 4 first eases you into the round, but the relative simplicity is offset by nerves teeing off from a tiny tee box right in front of the clubhouse! This is followed by a challenging but brilliant front 9, including a stretch (5, 6, 7 and 8) along the North Sea coastline, which happened to mostly be into the teeth of a strong wind for us. Back 9 is just as fun and includes two woodland-style holes for some momentary respite on a windy day, before an excellent 3-hole finish. Practice facilities: large putting green (as immaculate as the course) and some nets to loosen up. Pro shop: extremely welcoming, and well-stocked. Particularly useful as one of our group left his golf shoes 120 miles away back home. Clubhouse: perfect to sit back and assess the scorecard damage. Highly recommend the homemade sausage roll. In all, we had a great time and certainly hope to return!

Hemsby Fun Park, located conveniently behind the arcades, offers a wide variety of attractions. It has a pleasant family-owned atmosphere and operates for most of the year. This establishment strongly supports small businesses to preserve authenticity and avoid commercialization. With just 20 units, you can acquire approximately 48 tokens, which allow you to enjoy several rides starting from only 3 tokens. The prices are reasonable for a few hours of entertainment for children.
Hemsby Fun Park is a fantastic destination for families seeking a fun and affordable day out! With tokens at an excellent value of just 50p each, you can enjoy plenty of attractions without breaking the bank. The Waltzer and Big Slide are highlights, both priced at £3 each and the slide is unlimited rides-absolutely worth it! Plus, on Tuesdays, the park stays open late for spectacular fireworks, adding an extra touch of magic to your visit. Don't forget to stop by the food kiosk for delicious burgers and scrumptious donuts to refuel after all the excitement. The friendly staff enhances the experience, making Hemsby Fun Park a must-visit. Highly recommended!

Not a lot of rides here. Theres the waltzers, Dodgems, Haunted house, little Caterpillar ride and giant slide. They take only tokens which cost £10 for 20 tokens. You can buy fewer tokens but you save money if you buy 20. I know the dodgems take 4 tokens per car. If you get the Great Yarmouth tourist book you can get a token in there that will get you £5 worth of tokens free when you buy £10 worth.

Ocean Bay Amusements is a fantastic family-run arcade that offers endless fun for everyone. The staff are attentive and helpful, ensuring that all the games are fair and in working order. The facilities are clean and well-maintained, making it a great place for families to enjoy. Visitors have praised the wide variety of modern machines with fair payback ratios, as well as the exciting prizes on offer. It's highly recommended for anyone looking for a fun and friendly atmosphere with plenty of entertainment options.
What an amazing arcade! A proper family run arcade where you can have endless fun with all the games inside, we tended to stay on the coin dozers as that's the one we knew how to play. The games were fair, and all staff were really helpful and tentative and tended to our needs if anything was jammed or if we had any questions or needed additional coins to play. The arcade / toilet facilties were tended to regulary and really clean. One thing that astounded us was the prizes that were on offer. My wife and I were really impressed with our winnings and the quality, and as you can see, we won a lot! Thanks guys, and we hope to visit again and would highly recommend visiting this arcade, which in our opinion is 100% better than the ones you would find in Great Yarmouth beach and pier where you can tell straight away you wont win anything.

Amazing amusements, polite staff and great range of prizes! Came here on holiday with family and used the two p machines, best ones I've used in a while too!

We have been coming here for 10+ years the staff are amazing and can’t fault ocean bay staff the owner is amazing and very helpful and generous with tickets and prizes

What a great amusement arcade. Fantastic staff, very clean premises. You see the guys out cleaning the glass which you dont see in many places. This is our 2nd year coming and spending our days at this amusement area. Can't fault this family arcade. 2p machines offer great prizes for the children. We will be back next year and I am sure the standards will met expectations. To conclude we got the mario lego for the 8500 tickets and had a great week collecting the tickets.

I went to it, thought it was good at first until I spent around 20 pounds on a machine, I tell them the toy wasn't moving and even gave them evidence, yet the ignored me. Whilst leaving I also realised how ridiculously overpriced it was. 1star

I enjoyed my stay at Bureside Holiday Park. The location was peaceful, with no units stacked on top of each other. Although I didn't fish this time, the fishing lake looked promising. The slip and moored sailing dingy provided easy access to the river for three days of sailing. It was convenient to walk to the local pub which offered a wide selection of real ales. The site also provided good opportunities for walking and cycling along quiet lanes.
Really love this campsite, petrina and Don are great hosts, always there to sort out any problems, lovely walks down beside the broads, the showers and toilets were lovely and clean, what is best about this site is that you are not bunched up like some sites, plenty of room between pitches, definitely use this site again.

Lovely quiet campsite, good for paddle boarding and kayaking for us... easy slipway, staff were lovely and drove round alot to check in with everyone ... Swimming pool was clean, £3 to use Electric hook up was good water next to us. Will be back !!!

Excellent campsite, wonderful large pitch for the caravan, and everywhere is lovely and clean. Beautiful location right on the broads, which is perfect for launching the boat with a really good slip way. Lovely people who own the site, very helpful and friendly. Definately will come again.

A lovely campsite with great facilities. Perfect for what we needed. The owners were friendly and very helpful on local knowledge. I will definitely book again.

Excellent holiday park right on the Bure. We kayaked directly to the campsite staithe and then hopped out and set up camp. Absolutely nothing too much trouble for the campsite owner who was so friendly. The toilets were clean and the showers were roasting hot at all times (and included in the cost of the site). Really excellent place, highly recommended especially if u like a bit of kayaking or canoeing.

If you're looking for a fun-filled experience in Great Yarmouth, the Silver Slipper arcade is a must-visit destination. This charming penny pusher arcade offers an exciting atmosphere where both kids and adults can enjoy hours of entertainment. With its vibrant array of 2p machines, it's easy to get lost in the thrill of trying to win that elusive prize. The friendly staff, including Rob, who goes above and beyond to assist young players, adds a personal touch that enhances the overall experience.
Great arcade, one of the best in Great Yarmouth :) Always have good current prizes, good choice of machines and very friendly staff. Really happy with my three SpongeBob teddys me and my sister got. Would defo check it out if you’re visiting Great Yarmouth
Leon H — Google review
Extremely disappointed with this place. We won a prize in the coin pusher, and went to ask for help retrieving it only to be told we didn't win it. It was a plushy with £5 attached, and it was stuck in the prize shoot. We also got an egg from the "winner every time" claw machine. It was empty. We were simply told "oh well." Scammers!
Jess — Google review
Went in won a prize but machine glitched so lost that asked them they basically called me a lier games are all rigged and if u win they don’t give it u!!! The £5 nots on the 2p machines are glued on to coins on bottom shelf avoid
Seamus M — Google review
2p machines are rigged, £5 notes are sellotaped to the coin pushers so there is so chance of winning it. We had a note wedged between the glass and the pusher and when we tried explaining it the employee working there shouted at us and said that it still had to go all the way down to win. This place is a scam and there is no chance of winning anything. Don’t waste your time and money here, there are many other better places where you actually win stuff. Such an awful place.
Lena B — Google review
I’ve heard about prizes being sellotaped on 2p machines, but never thought it was true….. until my daughter spent a small fortune trying to win £5. It finally fell but was sellotaped to a teddy. Apparently the teddy also has to fall to win the £5. The way it was displayed did not make that obvious! SCAM place!!!!
Carly M — Google review
I would give this 0 stars if I could. Took my kids in here, and they didn't stand a chance of winning anything. We spent so much money trying to win something my kids were trying to win, but I had to give up after giving the company loads of money. It's a horrible money grabbing place as is the other amusements that are linked to the same company, ie, Majestic and The Mint. Don't waste your money at these places. There are other amusements that are a little more fair.
Louise F — Google review
Great little penny pusher arcade... We spent £10 and a very long time in here trying to get that illusive £5 hanging over the edge 😂😂 It was nice to see Rob the attendant looking after the little kiddies... When a toy didn't drop all the way down the slots the kids would run up to him and he would play them up or chase them back to the machine and take it out for them... He was a great choice for attendant and it made their day... Well done mate !! The machines were very playable as they dropped lots of coins "yes we put them all back in... But that's the fun" I would recommend this arcade to family's .... Go find Rob and you'll see what I mean 😂😂 You also get plenty of tickets as you play so you can always get knick knacks even when your out of 2p's 👍🏻 It was a Great pleasure losing my 2p's to you 👍🏻
Damian E — Google review
Visited today and items were getting stuck and guy in the arcade was very helpful emptying the machines. There was a guy behind the glass at the token and prize area who wasn't helpful and rude. Told us just to find someone else and rudely said I can't hear you I'll get someone else. Eventually the helpful guy was dealing with us and had no issues with him.

The Palace Casino is a popular amusement arcade that caters to children and adults alike. It offers a variety of entertainment options, including 2 penny machines where players can win small prizes and plenty of 2 pence coins. In addition to the traditional slot machines and grabbers for soft toys, the staff at Palace Casino are friendly, helpful, and create a positive atmosphere for visitors. The venue is well-maintained, adhering to strict hygiene protocols in light of COVID-19.
This was the only amusement arcade my grandchildren would good in. They loved the 2 penny machines as they could win little prizes as well lots of 2 pence's. It also has the normal slot machines and grabbers that are to hard for the children to win their soft toys. The staff are 1st and have a great rapport with the children.

Great little arcade for all ages, great selection of machines like slots, 2p, 10p, grabbers and more, been coming to Gt Yarmouth since I was around aged 8 currently 19 so a good 10+ years and have enjoyed this arcade and many others in Hemsby spent a lot of evenings in here, now that I am older 2p aren’t as fun however there are slots or grabbers for older audiences decided to have a go at slots and managed to win around £5 which was the max prize for 1 play on the slot machine I used not 100% sure if the picture was from the right arcade but pretty sure it was the right one, there are tons of food places nearby as well where you can get stuff like slushies and donuts, perfect if your on holiday in Yarmouth area specifically Hemsby Area.
Benjamin S — Google review
I like this place the staff that work here are very friendly unlike some of the others and they are very helpful and you can take your dog in there also and it's big enough to push a pram or wheel chair around
Julie C — Google review
Unlike a few of the arcades around, staff in here are really great and seem like they realise the prizes they have in the machines are worth a few pence and helping the kids to win them makes me want to come back and spend more money in here. Happy kids, happy life.
Jason B — Google review
Been going here for years now. As a whole the staff are really friendly and are so helpful. There is one expectation to that. One of the staff is unhelpful and never seems to smile. If it was not for this one person the review would of been a 5 star. Hope the owner will do something to sort this situation out as it is a real shame that one person can bring such a great place down.
Charles C — Google review
Staff are great here you go to some amusements and and the staff are grumpy as don't really want to know but here there laughing joking helping you out proper good here prizes are good kids have loads of fun and always win loads of stuff.

The Wind Energy Museum in Norfolk is a tranquil and secluded attraction that offers visitors an opportunity to explore the rich history of the region. With knowledgeable guides like Debbie and John, who are well-versed in their respective fields, visitors can learn fascinating tales from the past. The museum provides an informative and interesting experience in a peaceful location. Additionally, Broadland MGOC members had a thoroughly enjoyable tour, appreciating the guide's extensive knowledge.
Broadland MGOC members visited museum this evening everyone thoroughly enjoyed their tour with a guide who had a wealth of knowledge. We opted to include a BBQ during our visit which was excellent and well presented tea served in China cup's not your everyday plastic or cardboard. Will return with my grandchildren during school holidays Thursday and Friday's see more on website. Excellent David

My 5 year old and I had an absolutely fascinating time visiting the museum yesterday. We arrived just in time for the guided tour which was really interesting. My son was captivated listening to the history and explanation of how each exhibit worked. He loved watching them being demonstrated as well. He is really interested in how things work anyway, particularly mills and pumps. Visiting the Wind Energy Museum has really sparked his imagination though. He enjoyed testing the turbines with different numbers of blades to see the impact on the amount of power generated. Debra was extremely knowledgeable and gave a very interesting talk. She was good at engaging with the children there and answering questions. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back when we are in the area again.

I really enjoyed my visit to this unique outdoor museum. The person who did the guided tour was interesting to listen to and demonstrated some of the machines working as well as answering questions. If you enjoy engineering, or history or have an interest in alternative energy, I think you would enjoy it. The staff are friendly and the small cafe provided a proper pot of tea and a rather nice lemon slice.

Super friendly welcome to a very interesting hidden gem. Great to see exhibits in action and understand their uses as well as read the information and history in the museum. Thanks for a lovely day (&the tea!). We even went round to the Thurne Mill afterwards too.
